- Stephanie (10/5): - The staff were amazing. So friendly and kind. Trying to help out where ever they could. Always a smile on their face. If I ever go back to Inverness I will for sure stay there again, even if it’s 15-20 minutes outside the city.

- Dawson (8/5): - Staff was amazing and really friendly. We checked in at almost 9pm but was offered to be served warmed meals that's charged because she understood that there's no restaurant nearby. The fish and chips were one of the best I've had in my life. The menu for dinner rotates as well. Parking was easy. Room was comfy but unfortunately heating in the toilet didn't work so we couldn't dry our clothes. Room was right by the roads and there wasn't any aircon, so had to open the windows for ventilation since there's no fan, this, it was pretty noisy. Even with windows closed, it was pretty noisy.

- Dawn (6/5): Simple comforts with excellent service - Overall our stay was very nice. The rooms were a dated and some of the comforts were pretty basic. It has all that was needed for a comfortable quick stop. The service was exceptional. All the employees we interacted with were thoughtful and attentive.

- David (10/5): - We loved our room. The breakfasts were great! I loved being able to watch sheep grazing across the street during our meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given excellent tips on our visits to Fort George and Culloden Battlefield by the breakfast staff.
- James (6/5): - Extremely small room without enough space to fully open a suitcase, staff were very friendly but seemed limited by the availability of food in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast. Cleanliness was ok, parking excellent but without a car or his property would be too far from anything. Overall this place was good for a historic hotel.

- Tavia (10/5): - We had a very lovely day at this property. We had two different rooms, one had a tub, one did not. The one with the tub was closest to the motorway which was noticeably loud however it was no problem with earplugs. Also the noise from the next room was quite loud so I would say it's an easy enjoyable stay with ear plugs. You might be unhappy if you're a light sleeper without them. Out of the four of us staying, I was the only one who needed earplugs to sleep. There was a very lovely walk you could take away from the hotel through a little woods on the opposite side of the field and back around. The best deal on the menu is the chicken Caesar salad. It's a starter that could easily have been a meal. Prices for meals was the same as we have found most places although we found the menu was far more interesting. Service for some tables was very quick, our table did wait quite a long time. A very feeling hot breakfast was included with our stay. A choice of any or all of five different proteins plus beans and a scone as well as coffee orange juice and toast and cereal. So filling I couldn't even finish it all. The rooms have very updated modern bathrooms and although they are small the beds were extremely comfortable which is always the most important thing.

- Julie (8/5): - Great overnite stay after visiting Inverness for day. Enjoyed staying out of town and going for walk before dinner by the farms. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed dinner and yummy breakfast and owner gave me directions for scenic route to Isle of Skye. Some of the most beautiful scenery l have seen driving through the highlands.

- Michelle (10/5): Brilliant. - My husband and I had a wonderful stay for our anniversary. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable gifting us a ballon for our anniversary. Check-in was easy. The room was great, very clean and comfortable....freshly decorated it was beautiful. We had breakfast every day, but one and dinner every night, but one, the food was beautiful even though they were short staffed. The staff were easygoing and friendly and gave us ideas of where to visit, the bar staff were very informative about the local distilleries and whisky. Would recommend staying here. We will be returning.

- Faye (8/5): Thank you - Hotel is in good condition, as was the room, service was a little slow, first arriving we had to wait quite a while after a long drive to be seen whilst staff were busy serving drinks. Main issue for me was the pillows were very thin and I didn’t sleep very well at all whilst my partner noticed some grit in the bed. Fish and chips was were very nice and manager was friendly.

Room was comfortable and clean with state of the art television. Overall an excellent stay and will definitely stay again.

- Ariadni (8/5): Renovated, cosy but not 100% clean - The room was beautifully renovated, cosy and quiet. The view was also beautiful. We stayed for 2 nights. The cleaning could be a bit better. The handsoap was diluted with water so that the bottle looked full. The floor could also be vacuumed better and the mini-fridge in our room was mouldy because it was unplugged and the door of the fridge was closed. So we didn't use it. I have to be fair and honest. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, I felt comfortable in the room and I will book again in the future if I travel to the highlands.

- David (6/5): A Decent Place With Very Comfortable Beds. - The location is easy to find being sited by the main road. The food was ok but the prices reflected this. Breakfast was very good and of a good sufficiency. The large beds were among the most comfortable that I've ever slept in in any Hotel so well done to the owner for providing such a high-quality bed. The hotel is going through ongoing renovations so expect some very minor adjustments to the aesthetic of the establishment.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - I stayed here for its proximity to the start line for the River Ness 10km and availability of booking within only a few weeks of race day at what seemed like a reasonable price as EVERYONE bumps their prices up, but I did no research as if I had I might have found that the bedrooms are above the bar and not separated; I wanted an early night but it was not to be as the bar does not close until 1am. My room was also badly in need of an upgrade so the cost was clearly raised for the marathon weekend because I can't believe this would be the normal cost for such scruffy amenities. The food however was good and as the restaurant was so busy and I would have had to wait until later than I was prepared to - I intended having an early night - so they agreed to do room service for me. The staff were also very pleasant. If i was passing I might stop for food but I would definitely not stay again as a room above a restaurant / pub is not a recipe for a restful night's sleep when you need it, and the room in such condition it just rankled all the more.

The curtains blacked out the light very well. There was some road noise from passing cars (the inn is quite close to the road), but it's not a very busy road (or at least wasn't while I was thete). Food was great - both supper and breakfast. Staff were superb. Very happy with my stay here.

- Jocelyn (8/5): - Staff was very welcoming, kind and attentive. The hotel restaurant had delicious food and staff did an excellent job of suggesting beverage pairings. The room was charming and clean and the bed was very comfortable. One thing to note, the room was quite noisy, throughout the night we could here traffic, guests in other rooms moving about and an occasional sheep baaa. This added to the charm for me, but those who require quiet to sleep should not stay here. If that’s not a concern for you, a stay here is fun.
- Sharon (10/5): Nice restaurant and pub - We loved this hotel. The food is fabulous at this restaurant. We had dinner there which was best we had. Morning breakfast was good too. Just not as exceptional as dinner. The rooms were clean. One room had major issue with regulating water in shower and ended up using other 2 rooms showers. One room had no WiFi. The location of room depended on if u got WiFi. One room was booked for twin beds. Nope. A double and they were booked. That’s not right. Left 2 single people sharing very small bed😣. Not good. They had a front bar and back bar. We enjoyed them both. The food was the best.
