- Alicja (10/5): Fantastyczny pobyt w klimatycznym miejscu - Fantastyczny klimat Riadu, pięknie urządzony i położony w idealnym miejscu. Obsługa pomocna i życzliwa.
- Gabriel (8/5): Excelente - El desayuno excelente.
A recommander fortement !
- Gavin (8/5): Great location perfect for the souk! - Fabulous location just a few minutes from the main square Breakfast was a little sparse. Great breads, super coffee and tea, we would have appreciated a little more fruit.
- Viktoria (8/5): - We had a room in the patio which was quite noisy (considering there were activities going on in the patio at night). If you don’t mind noise or use ear plugs you’ll be fine :)
The room itself was nice and quite large. However, the humidity was quite high compared with other Riads and the condition of the sanitary facilities in the bathroom need some maintenance (one sink didn’t work, water takes long to drain, leaky hose in the shower). None of these had a major impact on our stay though.
The breakfast on the rooftop was really nice (noice choice and some fruits and juice).
The staff is nice and gave suggestions/helped with questions we had. Noise in the room, humidity in the room, sanitary facilities (partially).

- Zaria (7/5): - Nice riad. Good value for money. Friendly staff and good communication. Entrance to the riad is down a quiet alley which may be a bit uncomfortable for female/ solo travllers.

Rien
- Mubeen Ali (9/5): -
- Ida (10/5): Beautiful and cosy. Perfect for a couple of days 🌸 - I liked everything. Perfect, friendly and helpful staff, decor and design of the riad, hospitality and comfort.
I highly recommend this place 🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺

- Hadeel (10/5): An enchanting and stylish oasis in the heart of Marrakech with warm hospitality. - The riad is absolutely stunning—elegant, artistic, and full of character. The decor is unique and luxurious, with attention to every detail. The staff were warm and helpful, and breakfast was beautifully presented. The location is also convenient for exploring the medina. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): Absolutely beautiful, perfect place for ladies to stay! - Absolutely everything! It is such a little calm oasis, away from the bustling streets! The Staff were amazing, so kind, caring and helpful! Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was comfy, the bathroom amazing and breakfast was a morning feast and beautifully set out on the roof terrace. It is the perfect place for ladies to stay, we felt very safe! We cannot fault a thing!
- Colangelo (10/5): Exceptional - The staff is really special! Very Friendly and hospitable. We loved our stay 💛
- Marieke (8/5): Right in the centre of the souks, amazing staff. - Staff is super friendly and helpful, breakfast is really good and the rooms are good size. Bed was very hard. But i understand this is quite normal in Marocco
- Liberty (10/5): Amazing, would definitely come back! - Gorgeous Riad, loved the terrace and the style of the rooms. The staff were all so helpful and lovely. Breakfast was great and shops & restaurants only a short walk away.
- Ahmed (8/5): Very good -
- João (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent experience right in the thick of it in the Medina
Excellent would come again
- Justine (10/5): Exceptional -

- Nicola (8/5): If you want to be in the centre of everything and have a good explore, then this location is great! - We had a great stay at Riad Dar Jaguar. We had organised a transfer with them from the airport and that all went smoothly. The Riad is right in the centre of the everything, so the surroundings are very busy. However, you wouldn't know that inside the accommodation, which is very calm and tranquil. The staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was really tasty. Our daughters were in a room up and down some stairs away from us, but everything felt very secure and we were well looked after. The weather was cooler than we'd like and there were gaps around doors that let air in, but it is an old building and really didn't spoilt things as there was an AC unit in each room that also acted as a heater.
I would recommend taking earplugs as the bar/restaurant next door is quite noisy at night and you'll hear the call to prayer quite early in the morning. However, that didn't spoil our stay.
- Andrea (10/5): Extravagance at a reasonable price - In an excellent location inside the medina and only a 5 minute dander to the main square where most trips collect you from. Staff were very helpful ( printing boarding passes as Ryanair desk at airport prefer hard copy printout rather than just a screen shot apparently)
Lovely staff who were welcoming and friendly, delicious breakfasts presented exquisitely, decor that is sumptuous and boutique. Nothing to dislike
- Jasmine (10/5): Excellence, beauty, calm and thoughtful hospitality in a central location. - This Riad is charming and beautiful. The location is brilliant as it is amidst the Souk with all its richness and hustle and bustle, but once you are inside the Riad, it is incredibly quiet! The hospitality was thoughtful and exceeded expectations every time. So much care was put into every delicious meal, presentation and interaction. It was our first visit to Marrakesh and as a couple, we felt very well looked after and safe and can recommend this place wholeheartedly. There was nothing we didn't like here. We were blown away.
- Philip (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff. Great breakfast on the sunny roof top. Perfect location in the heart of the medina. Music from the neighboring bar was a bit annoying, but they turned it down in the evening.
- Asif (10/5): Best stay of my life - Staying at Riad Da Jaguar was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing exceptional hospitality that truly set this place apart. It felt less like a hotel and more like we were guests in someone’s home—warm, personal, and inviting. The breakfast was delicious! They even served us free refreshments(traditional Moroccan tea + snacks) free of charge whenever we asked for it. The riad itself is beautifully designed, blending traditional charm with modern comforts. Every detail, from the decor to the service, was impeccable. If you’re looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Marrakech, Riad Da Jaguar is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
- Emilio (10/5): Amazing - Arquitectura The location in Google maps it’s not correct
Just look for Dar Jaguar
With out Riad
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graeme (5/5): RiADS are cold during winter, freezing cold rooms not great - Very helpful staff, caring and considerate.
Great breakfast and accommodating Poor support from manager and communication.
1) completely forgot to collect from airport
2) only contact was a English mobile
3) air conditioning broken - blowing cold air (fixed on final 2 days)
- Juta (8/5): I would summon up our stay as romantic, calm, leisurely. - It was authentic, very romantic. Stuff was always there if you needed something location was perfect if you want to be in a heart of old city. You need to take into account that that’s an old facility so it comes with its +&-. It’s a bit noisy as you are in a heart of old city.
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Sonia (4/5): Make sure the owner doesn’t cancel! - Location and staff were great It was dirty, toothpaste and spit in the cups in the bathroom, generally grubby… bed broken and the mattress was cheap and hard.
Coffee was tepid at breakfast, the terrace is lovely as are the staff but we were sat by the laundry door which was open and the maid kept pushing past the table with sheets.
The owner canceled my booking.com booking as she likes you to pay more directly to her, over €100 extra per room.
I managed to secure my booking.com room by buying them with no refund.
Be cautious!
- Benedetta (9/5): Superb - The Riad is quiet and very pretty to stay, the staff is very friendly, kind and accommodating with everything. I was there with some friends and we had a great time. A place that we highly recommend
- Freya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ferguson (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful lodging, excellent breakfast, and the kindness and hospitality of the host were the best aspect of the stay
- 193guyv (10/5): A fairy tale of 1001 nights in Marrakech - For our 63th birthday I wanted to make something special for our visit to Marrakech. Searching for romantic possibilities I found Dar Jaguar. Beautiful location, nice packages,.. I filled in the contact form and got a response from Lucia. Based on the "Amour honeymoon" escape she worked out a beautiful program which was in line with our birthday dates (April 29th and May 1st) (Fire eater for her birthday, belly dancer for mine,...). Lucia was very flexible in the program and suggested in finding the right spots to visit and which restaurants to book.
Imagine: you have just arrived in Morocco and are walking through the medina, looking for your riad. You manage to navigate between the hordes of people and mopeds. The streets are narrow and you wonder if you are lost. Suddenly you find yourself standing in front of the door you're looking for. Then the door opens and you enter a complete different world: a heavenly place of calm and tranquility: you have arrived at your riad.
Thank you Lucia for organizing such a wonderfull experience.
- Laura (10/5): We had a dream stay ! Beautiful design, décor amazing staff ! I can’t wait to revisit. - Beautiful fresh breakfast! So amazing Maybe one day a second pool , I did dip in the small pool it was very refreshing.
We loved everything.
- Rema (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): AMAZING stay huge thank you to Zaid and others for helping making it so memorable!! - Super cozy and quiet right in the center of the Medina!
- Properfoodie95 (10/5): Incredible Riad and Amazing Staff - Thank you for the best trip ever! - 7 of us stayed at Dar Jaguar for 4 nights for a friends' hen do and it was absolutely perfect! The Riad is totally stunning, and in the perfect location to explore Marrakech. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the main medina but when you are in the Riad it is so peaceful and calm. The rooms are all beautifully decorated, very clean and the showers were brilliant. The courtyard is beautiful and the terrace area is the perfect place to get some sun and relax. However, the best thing about the Riad is the incredible staff. From our initial enquiry, Lucia was outstanding, helping to provide a detailed itinerary and even scheduling in reservations for us and providing excellent recommendations. Upon arrival, our airport transfer with Khalid was great and we were taken to the Medina where we were greeted by the wonderful Zaid, who took us to the Riad. He ran through our itinerary and set up Maps.me on our phones for us which was extremely useful during our trip. From then on the hospitality was out of this world; the staff were unbelievably helpful and kind. Any time we needed anything at all, Zaid or Sadik were on hand to provide drinks, directions, help with contacting restaurants, printing our boarding passes and so much more. Zaid even walked us to and from the square every evening (even one time at around 4AM!) which was just so kind and made us feel extra safe late at night. We loved playing jenga and chatting with the staff, they were all so friendly and welcoming. The chef and the cleaners (sorry as I don't know their names), were all brilliant, and super friendly as well. The food at the Riad was fantastic, we all loved the breakfast on the terrace every morning, and our evening meal on our first night with musicians was so special and so much fun. Lucia also organised a belly dancing class which was funny and a massage which I can not recommend enough - we all thought the massages were amazing. Also, for anyone visiting Marrakech I highly recommend a trip to one of the dessert camps in Agafay dessert. We visited Agafay Luxury Camp for the day for food, quad biking and to use the pool and it was great. We had some changes to the itinerary while we during our stay and Zaid was so accommodating, he contacted everyone and resolved everything for us. It really was the best hen party ever, and the staff made it so easy for us to just relax and enjoy. Thank you so much to everyone at the Riad, you are truly amazing and we miss it so much already!
- Farzaneh (10/5): I would go back to the same place - Thank you very much for the lovely breakfast . Your place is really nice and we felt very welcome. everything was very good
- VeroForero (10/5): Lovely riad in the heart of Marrakech ♥️ - Beautiful and detailed riad in the middle of Marrakech. The State of Grace room is perfect for any couple. We really enjoyed the view from the balcony and the gold decor of the amazing bathtub. The roof is also the perfect spot for sunset and tea! Such a beautiful experience there.
- Reb987 (10/5): Amazing spot for a hen do! - We stayed at Dar Jaguar for my friend’s hen do and had the absolute best time. I was lucky enough to sleep in the master suite which is the most beautiful room I think I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are so friendly and took really good care of us. We’re already wanting a reunion trip!
- Sonia (4/5): for $90 you can literally stay at a palace or any of the much better 2,000 riads in Marrakech’s medina. - the room was nicely decorated there are no locks to lock your door. so basically anyone or the staff can enter your room. there is very little hot water that only lasts under 10min, very little to take a proper hot bath. Sadik has an attitude and is not the kindest.
- G8215OHsabrinam (10/5): The most incredible hen party! - My friends and family stayed at Dar Jaguar for my hen party and it was such a special weekend! The team know how to create a bespoke package and they looked after us so well. The attention to detail was exceptional and Lucia also gave fantastic recommendations for restaurants, bars and activities. We all had a trip to remember for life. Thank you Dar Jaguar!!!
- NFile08 (10/5): Hen Do Experience - The whole team at the Dar Jaguar Raid in Marrakesh looked after us wonderfully for our 4 day stay. We were 8 ladies who stayed at the Riad to celebrate my sister's Hen/Bachelorette. Beautifully decorated rooms, space to sit and eat together on the stunning roof terrace, supported by staff that were available for us day and night to ensure we had a brilliant time. From organising dinner bookings, excursions and tours, to hosting a fun banquet evening and finally making sure we were transferred to and from the Riad. The best breakfasts (missing them already) and tea served the Moroccan way 😁. We just can’t thank you enough! We had the most memorable time. So thank you Lucia, Sadik, Said, Adil and Khakis - we hope to be back one day. Thankyou, Natalie
- Noemi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (5/5): interesting but overpriced riad - location and private small setting, friendly and accommodating staff rooms on first floor were dark and dingy, dungeon like. bathroom floors had consistent leak as tiles were warped and presence of standing water. offered overpriced dinner that they don’t tell details about. not designed for colder month with gaps everywhere and as a result no ability to warm up the room
- Jordan (7/5): Amazing staff and rustic accommodations - The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooftop is very nice for relaxing. Communication with the staff was easy. The bed was very basic and not quite luxury. The hot water doesn't last long enough to fill up the tub. The toilet seat wasn't bolted down on one side. These are all simple things that can be updated or fixed, but for the price compared to the other stays in this category, it was lacking.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barnaby (7/5): good location,average accommodation - location
bathtub overpriced for what it was.
it was lacking atmosphere and beauty.
- Yi (10/5): Exceptional -
- 368MaisieH (10/5): Family holiday - We stayed at Dar Jaguar over half term this Autumn. We were a mixture of parents, young adults, teenagers and a youngest of 9 years old.
The Dar Jaguar team designed and organised a brilliant week personal itinerary that had everything imaginable included and more!
Each experience and activity was impeccably organised and thoughtfully designed to meet all of our needs and differences from private guided tours through the best shops in the souks and finest monuments; lunch in the sand dunes and swimming in the desert; a day trip to eat delicious seafood in Essaouira and another to relax and indulge in hammams, massages and Dar Jaguar’s delicious food on its fabulous rooftop terrace. The riad is beautifully designed and so very peaceful after the excitement of the medina!
The team even organised musical entertainers and fire eaters for us one night and booked all of our restaurants for us as well. No stone was left unturned and the staff or family as they like to call them are all absolutely lovely.
We didn’t want to leave and return home with new friends and rich memories for a lifetime.
100% recommend this for a totally unique family holiday.
- Alex (10/5): Great location, friendly staff and lovely Riad. - Great location, friendly staff, nice setting.
- Emma (6/5): If you are looking to stay in the medina it’s great. it was convenient and comfortable - Nice big room. Bed was comfy. Lovely building. Staff were great. Missed a fridge and ice. No shower but bath was great.
- LucyA1699 (10/5): Divine - The Riyad was unlike anywhere we have ever been! The owner ensured we had the trip of lifetime by sharing their bespoke knowledge of Marrakesh. We especially enjoyed the roof terrace, sunbathing before a delicious breakfast. Location is perfect, a quiet retreat in the hustle and bustle of the markets. Would go back in a heart beat.
- Clairewk (10/5): A wonderful Riad, with a brilliant team, cannot recommend Dar Jaguar highly enough - I cannot praise the amazing Dar Jaguar and it’s team highly enough. Our stay at this beautiful Riad was wonderful from beginning to end, we were were taken care of at every level from start to finish. This started with easy and straightforward booking via the uk booking agent, (a great, simple payment and deposit system is in place to secure chosen dates and package). At this stage, before we had even arrived in Marrakech, the Dar Jaguar team had helped us create an amazing itinerary, including booking guides, transport, restaurants, etc. It felt like we had our own private tour guides!! With fantastic local knowledge. Upon arrival, everything ran so smoothly, and the welcome we received was amazing. Our time at the Riad was phenomenal; restful, tranquil and beautiful. Combine this with the the heartfelt, professional, kind and inspiring Dar Jaguar team, this is a beautiful Riad that I cannot recommend highly enough. And as for Marrakech, wow!! It is everything and more than!
- Cotswoldchick (10/5): Wonderful weekend in the heart of the Medina - I have lived and then travelled to Morocco a number of times but never before come across such a delightfully original Riad as Dar Jaguar. It's unique from the fabulous decor, to the welcome from the friendly staff and then delightful service. I stayed with friends for a long weekend and we felt thorougly spoilt from the moment we landed at the airport.
The Riad is located very centrally in the medina and a quick walk from all the souks and some fabulous restaurants - recommended by the staff at the Riad. Our room was extremely comfortable - we were in Babylon Vamp and the bathroom was amazing, the most gorgeous enormous bath.
We had dinner one night on the roof terrace, a vertiable feast of local dishes, accompanied by local musicians, which was very entertaining. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome it was a great weekend.
- Anastasios (10/5): A brilliant Riad, with great facilities and staff! - I don't know what to praise first. The staff? The rooms? The breakfast? The location?
Choosing this Riad is a no brainer, we were very well taken care of, and enjoyed every second.
- Floortje (10/5): wonderful and a perfect getaway in the medina - the staff was amazing, sweet and helpful. the vibe of the riad was wonderful, and I loved the design of everything. the location was perfect, in the middle of everything. the pigeon in the morning
- Povilas (9/5): Superb - Everything was very nice and authentic. Staff was very helpful, very good breakfast. If you want nice and quiet place in center of Marrakesh then it is right place. Could be some small renovations in riad. Poor Wi-Fi. Pool didn't work. Hope they can be better that's why I rated them better in advance
- Hokuto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): A wonderful stay! - The hotel manager was so helpful, they helped us to find our way around and gave us lots of tips about where to go and how much to pay for things. We liked everything.
- brunomN3324AX (10/5): An overall wonderful stay above out expectation - We were very pleased with our stay at Dar Jaguar. The place was stunning with that wonderful interior garden, the rooms were cozy, the staff was kind and polite, and the location was perfect, just a few steps away from the medina center. What else can you ask for? Breakfast was also great, with a variety of goodies to power you through the day! :)
Besides that, Marrakech was wonderful to get to know and we always felt very safe exploring it on own. We would definitely return in the future! You can see our pictures from the riad at @saraandbruno_
- Trail522775 (10/5): Amazing bucket list moments - Like so many of us, I haven’t been able to spend time with my best friends for too long so we were looking for some quality time on a Girl’s Getaway. Marrakech is the perfect location with sunshine, souks and so many brilliant activities only 3 hours away and Dar Jaguar is the perfect oasis. We fell in love with the interiors of Dar Jaguar and when we saw that you could affordably book the whole of Dar Jaguar (5 rooms for 10 of us) and have a personalised itinerary created for us, we booked it straight away.
All the travel booking and concierge management is done from the UK (as the owner is British and lives in the UK) which made it so much easier for us as we spoke the same language and Lucia totally understood what would make the 4 days away perfect for us. We honestly didn’t have to do a thing! All the recommendations from restaurants and shops to cultural must-sees were perfect and the activities and experiences that Dar Jaguar personally arranged for us on site will be our best memories for a lifetime. These included a Rooftop Banquet, a private guided tour to the Atlas Mountains, relaxing massages and facials, a group belly dancing lesson and the most incredible Food and spice market tour and cooking lesson…
You can feel in every detail that Lucia and all the staff have put their heart and soul into this place and are passionate about their guests and the quality of what they provide…
- Cathyb1971 (10/5): A Dream come true - We’ve been desperate to travel after COViD restrictions and Dar Jaguar Marrakech has been on our bucket list for 2 years now. And wow! It lived up to every expectation…
Dar Jaguar is so deserving of all these great reviews. We’d say the place is even more beautiful that the photos.
We took three rooms as a group of close friends and Lucia and The Dar Jaguar Family put together a beautiful programme of activities for us including rooftop banquets at the riad (yummy food!), belly dancing lessons, massages and their fantastic food market tour and cookery lesson.
We loved every minute. The location is perfection. The Dar Jaguar staff could not have been more caring and attentive
Make sure that you enjoy a romantic dinner on the rooftop terrace at sunset – the views over the medina are incredible and you can hear the gentle call to prayer.
- JHobbs1968 (10/5): Faultless Service and Stunning Interiors - We were celebrating our anniversary and this was a dream come true. From start to finish we were handled like royalty. The heartfelt care and attention to detail from booking our room and arranging our personal itinerary right through to every meal and service we enjoyed at Dar Jaguar was exceptional. We have already booked again for next year but this time we are taking the whole riad with friends!
- izabelphilippa (10/5): Find your peace in the heart of Marrakech - We had the State of Grace Royal Suite and the suite was very big and greatly decorated. We loved sleeping in our comfy bed and staying on the balcony watching the pretty view of the yard and listening the song of the birds. Dar Jaguar has also a delicious food - best tagines in town. Fatiha cooks so so well. Keep in mind that you could also do a massage or have a day trip organized by the riad and everything is super close once you are out. Great location in the heart of Marrakech, but once you are in you can have your peace of mind.
- 43paigee (2/5): Robbing owner still owes us refund money and now ignores all our attempted contact - Ruined our honeymoon! - We are STILL waiting for our partial refund which Lucia agreed to send us in August last year but haven't heard from her in over six months as she now ignores our emails and calls.
We were due to stay for the 5 day honeymoon package after our wedding in June 2020 and like others said, Lucia was very quick and eager getting back to us when she wanted us to book and send our money via bank transfer to her UK bank account - silly me did this.
We were so excited to stay after booking at the end of 2019 but when Covid hit last year, Lucia was very hard to get a hold of but eventually arranged a phonecall with her. She explained that I will have to cancel and re-book, meaning I would have to pay so much of the amount again (we paid £1500) and explained that many others had supposedly done this to help her business stay afloat - me and my partner are both hard working but aren't bloody rich! Funnily enough though, this was said over the phone though so I had no written proof to what was said.
I expressed my worries in email and after taking a long while to get back to us, she asked us to pay £265 to rebook in 2021 - this would have been perfect if it was the first thing she suggested when we first contacted about rebooking, but we felt so uneasy after the phonecall and realising something was not right, me and my partner agreed we didn't want to stay there anymore and assumed that considering the Riad was closed when we were meant to be originally staying anyway, surely we would be entitled to some of our money back? Oh no!
After months of emailing (me emailing Lucia, she's very hard to get hold of once she has your money) we finally came to an agreement that she would refund us a third of what we paid. We weren't thrilled at this but at least we were getting some of what we worked hard to pay for back..
Well we haven't heard from her in months now and she ignores all types of contact. Absolutely disgraceful. We've come to terms with that we won't be getting our owed money back but wanted to warn others to be careful here. What first seemed like a magical, beautiful and romantic experience at Dar Jaguar turned out the be our worst nightmare and caused us so much stress last year. Never experienced rudeness like it!
Please be careful if booking here and don't send via bank transfer like Lucia told us to.
- jas976 (10/5): Romantic Stay - I was looking for a very special place to celebrate my hubby’s birthday and it was challenging because of the pandemic many places were closed. However, I came across Dar Jaguar on the internet and I was mesmerized by its beauty. I reached out and Luica responded to me with professionalism. I explained to her it was my hubby’s birthday and she instantly made me feel like family more than a tourist. Communication with Lucia from the States was excellent. Once we arrived in Marrakech Fatiha met us in the main square and escorted us to Dar Jaguar. She is super friendly , welcoming , accommodating, and communicates English excellently! We entered the room “the State of Grace” and it’s more beautiful in person than the pictures. We spent three lovely days and two nights at Dar Jaguar. Every moment was so spectacular, we had a delicious breakfast in the morning which was great for a day out in Marrakech. In the evening for my hubby’s birthday we had an amazing dinner on the rooftop. Lucia, Fathia and the staff at Dar Jaguar take pride in hosting their guests. The place was super clean and welcoming. They truly made our experience one of a kind. We will be returning next time we travel to Marrakech.
- liljenko3 (10/5): Highly Recommend This Hidden Gem - Located in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, Morocco, this beautiful hotel is truly a hidden gem. Very close to Jamma El Fna: good to buy nuts, souvenirs, traditional moroccan clothes/shoes/jewelry, delicious food on a terrace and so much more. You might think you’re going into a dodgy alley off the market but then, one second later, you get to this “Speakeasy Bed & Breakfast-style Hotel” and in complete awe. I highly highly recommend staying here! The staff is absolutely amazing and so friendly with breakfast included. And then... once you go up to the roof, you will fall in love with the city in a heartbeat.
- Bennylacantina (10/5): Our new favourite getaway - We just spent 4 incredible days at Dar Jaguar. Having been to Marrakech a few times we have finally found the one... right in the centre of town sits the crown of Riads.... such an amazing team of genuinely lovely people who were happy to pass on a wealth of local knowledge and even helped us shop for bulk spices as we own a restaurant and needed a suitcase worth!! We ate 4 course breakfasts and 2 evening meals that were exceptional - in fact Fati even gave us the recipe for our favourite, the Berber tagine - wow
The Riad itself is stunning with a gorgeous rooftop garden for sunbathing, massages and evening meals, then there is a plunge pool which was a saviour as it was scorching hot during our stay. The design is inspirational and we just loved the simple layout, the huge baths and cool little corners. It felt very homely, safe and welcoming
We will definitely be back soon as I can honestly say this was a fantastic choice and amazing value compared to other places we have stayed in the past
Thanks team Dar Jaguar
Benn
- Ruocco (10/5): A wonderful stay at Dar Jaguar - This is the second time I have stayed at Dar Jaguar, and I really don't think I'd stay anywhere else when visiting Marrkech, which is a city that warrants multiple visits. Before our stay, Lucia and Catherine were as helpful as they could be in putting together an itinerary for us, which took any guesswork out of our stay, and meant we could truly relax and enjoy ourselves. Upon arrival, Fathia, Khalid and the other members of the house staff couldn't do enough to ensure that our stay was exactly what we wanted. Food, service, the ambience- nothing was too much trouble. The riad itself is a beautiful traditional house, and is an oasis of calm in the middle of the medina- and despite its proximity to the souks and Djemma el Fna, just moments walk away, it is incredibly peaceful and quiet. I think that Marrakech is as exotic, and different as you can get on a short haul flight from the UK; the sights and scents of the souks are so exciting. It is the perfect place to visit as the seasons start to change at home, as the weather was perfect blue skies and 28 degree sunshine, which was such a tonic as the dark nights start to draw in- yet only 3.5 hours away. I can't wait to return to magical Marrakech one day, and hope to stay at Dar Jaguar again.
