- Olesya (7/5): Close to the ski area - Location: very close to the ski area. Late check-out was granted and it was absolutely nice . Personnel at front office and restaurant. The temperature inside the hotel, despite cold weather , was more than comfortable Outdated rooms need renovation .

Je me retrouvée à devoir me rincer quasiment à l’eau froide

STRUTTURA NON MOLTO LONTANA A PIEDI DALLA STAZIONE DEI TRENI E DAL CENTRO DEL PAESE E VICINO (PER CHI INTERESSATO) ALLE STRUTTURE SCIISTICHE.

- federica (8/5): hotel carino vicino a Campo Smith. - Struttura molto carina vicino a Campo Smith.
- Marco (6/5): - La posizione sicuramente buona.
- Garry (10/5): 1st class - The management was so helpful
Struttura gradevole e curata

- 945ethanc (6/5): Good hotel - Good hotel for a ski holiday.
Beds comfy, though rooms rather small.
Breakfast pretty basic, but evening food great, with good variety.
Giovanni was a good waiter.
Can store the ski gear here.
Not far from the slopes, only a short walk.
Thanks.
- Bigbluesky2015 (10/5): Great location, food and friendly staff at this lovely Hotel - I just spent a week here with my husband and two kids and this hotel was friendly, clean and located just a 3 min walk across to Campo Smith ski lift. We were half board and the breakfast and evening meals were great , lots of healthy choices and lovely local cuisine. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and lots of space in the lounge for after dinner drinks and chats with fellow skiers and some board games with the kids. Would definitely recommend this hotel for families . Thanks to all the lovely staff at Hotel Ca’Fiore for a great week.
- Vivian (8/5): Very good -
- uamb83 (10/5): First stay at Cà Fiore - We have just had a week staying in this lovely wee hotel. We were a little apprehensive given some, although a minority, of the reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised and it reminded us that there is just no pleasing some people.
We arrived late on the hotel had kept the dining room open for us all.
The rooms in this traditional hotel are clean, warm and comfortable.
Food was varied so plenty to eat for everyone . Consisting of an optional buffet, followed by three courses (three options for each course). All excellent quality, and plentiful. Even the fussiest of eaters would find something.
All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, more like staying with family. They all work tirelessly to make sure things run smoothly, and staff go out their way to accommodate guests.
Towels were changed every day, and the cleaning staff do a great job. The place is immaculate.
Plenty of hot water.
Decent WiFi.
Enough space in rooms.
Fridge.
Hairdryer.
Boot room.
Jacuzzis and sauna (again, immaculate).
The only negative would be the thinness of the walls, meaning you can hear everybody in rooms either side but we did understand that’s a nature of building given its age. Nothing some earplugs doesn’t sort though.
Location wise very handy across from Campo Smith and the bus stop a few moments walk.
Overall, would be happy to come again and speaking to others, they seem to make it a regular thing with no complaints.
- Sharifah (10/5): Very cosy, excellent hotel. - The place, the friendly staff, the food, the ambience.
- Douglas (6/5): Pleasant - Location to skiing was great. Old and dated. Rooms were dark and insufficient lighting.
- Luca (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (10/5): Great hotel in a fantastic location - Location is good. The hotel is very nice. Restaurant wasn’t open but the town had some great pizzerias !
- Tracy (7/5): Fair hotel in a good location. - Good location and parking. The hotel was clean. Our room was very small and dated. The restaurant was closed during our stay.
- Nicholls (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- W5366FXkatiew (10/5): Great stay! - We stayed in this hotel for a week as a group of 14. And we all had a fantastic time. I cannot fault this hotel. Its close to the slopes, and easy to access the bus, right outside. The hotel was insanely clean, I dont think I saw anyone without a cloth or a mop in their hand. Rooms were great. Food was plentiful, we had a couple of vegetarians in our group, and the hotel accommodated so no one went hungry!
Special shout out to Ramy, he was amazing. The most polite and attentive staff member we could have asked for, we also had a great laugh with him throughout the week. And also a special shoutout to Gaia, she was brilliant. Nothing was too much, and she went above and beyond.
All the staff where fantastic, polite, and just willing to do anything to help.
The jacuzzi and saunas where well needed after a day in the snow!
Thanks all, would definitely return.
- shauntherebornprawn (8/5): Great hotel in Bardonecchia - Hotel Ca Fiore is a well run welcoming hotel with the indefatigable Katya and the team seemingly everywhere. The hotel is really clean with staff cleaning constantly. The hotel is warm and comfortable with good aperitivi and lots of lounge space. There’s a good heated boot room. Great breakfast and dinner. Do not believe the rabbit head review! The Campo Smith complex is a short stroll easily manageable with ski gear.
The town is ‘real’. It is cheap. For aperitivi check out Medail Birreria by the train station, and during the day Cafe Igloo at Campo Smith was a nice sanctuary
Skiing. Pros. It is great for beginners, with a nice nursery area and the blue back to Campo Smith is gentle. There are lots of tree lined reds with no surprises, though the Olimpica below Chesal and the 28 at Bosco are a bit steeper. The Ban area is amazing when there is visibility. We had 40-50cm of snow early in the week 25 Feb to 3 March 2024, so there was loads of off piste in both areas. There is a nice low key atmosphere. We would go there again.
Cons. There were many un-opened pistes and lifts which could have been opened, there was plenty of natural snow, with artificial snow top up and maintenance. The lift passes are cheap so maybe that is a business plan. Campo Smith is quite brutalist and concrete but looks good covered in snow. The Colomion drag lift is brutal.
- Jon2117 (8/5): A friendly pleasent stay. - We stayed here as a family of 5 and found it to be a very pleasent experience. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the slopes and ski school meeting points, where there is also a couple of restaurants/bars for lunch and apres. There is a mountain rollercoaster that all the kids enjoyed. The main town is a 15/20 min walk and we ate out one night and found a fun bar to go to, all at very reasonable prices.
The hotel itself is somewhere we quickly felt at home. We had Spacious family room and a double, which were both clean and comfy. Maybe a little dated in places. Both opened out to a shared very large sunny balcony. the hot tub and sauna area was great and well used by all. The boot room was warm a what you would expect. Lockers are avaible by the slopes also. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the general feel amongst others staying, was it had a nice atmosphere.
Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt etc. there was also hot options of eggs and bacon and tea/coffee/juices. Dinner was chosen at breakfast, start/main/dessert. Generally the food was very nice and nobody is left hungry.
- ScottishTan (10/5): Welcoming and cosy - We returned after a lovely stay in March 23. Memories of that week were the incredibly friendly staff, the wonderful food, comfortable rooms, hot tubs and sauna and the short walk to the free ski bus or Campo Smith lifts and slopes.
This year very much the same although it did feel like there was some energy saving going on with the heating and hot water coming on a little later in the afternoon, hot tubs only appeared to be heated up every other day though this could easily have just been a mistake as the hotel was sorting out some electrical work in the spa.
Food was generally excellent, we though the first couple of days the salad bar was not quite as good but then that changed very much for the better so perhaps an availability issue. You will eat your own bodyweight at dinner but I can recommend taking the soup option for your first course if you tire of pasta. Desserts are not my thing so can't really comment.
It's a quiet hotel, chat and games with a few drinks in the bar after dinner is as lively as it gets or you can pop over the road to Harald's bar for more apres DJing.
Loved our stay here again, won't hesitate to return.
- conort723 (10/5): Wonderful hotel - My son and I stayed here for a week's skiing
in Jan 2024. The hotel is lovely; traditional alpine style. There's also a good spa with 3 hot tubs and a sauna. The staff and the food were excellent and the maitre d', Francesco, has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the local wines and had great recommendations. All the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful and I have to mention Gaia who works in the bar and restaurant as a stand out member of the staff. Would highly recommend this hotel for a skiing / alpine holiday and I hope to come back again
- Giancarlo (9/5): Affordable, comfy, great food, best cost-benefit place to ski - The hotel is amazing for Italian standards. There are 3 jacuzzi available during the afternoon, and a sauna. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is delicious. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were good, the sheets were nice and warm in the right measure, the bathroom was a distance from the bed and more private, and also spacious and clean. There was a handy storage room for ski gear next to the entrance and a nice social area with a bar and comfy chairs and all. A lovely place, well-located, just a stone's throw away from Campo Smith, next to a bus stop and some shops. There was only 1 tiny rubbish bin in our room, and it was the bathroom's. I had to keep regulating the radiators manually lest we would bake in the bed at night. But that's not too bad. The worst offender in my opinion is the supper. It is the same system used by the neighbouring hotels. it goes like this:
They have a supper menu every day. It usually shows a 3-course meal in which 2 of the main courses can be chosen out of a list of options. There are usually 2 or 3 options per course. One course is usually pasta and one is usually meat. There are a few things I dislike about this system: a) they don't offer vegetarian options out of the box; so if you are vegetarian (as my wife is), tough luck; they may offer a vegetarian alternative that is probably cheaper but will cost you the same; b) if you don't want 3 courses, you can have only one, e.g. pasta, but they will not charge you a proportional value of that course, they will simply charge what seems to be half of the value of the supper, which means a small portion of pasta may cost you something like €10 while it's worth €1; c) they will push you towards buying expensive wines, in a country where one can buy glass-sized tetrapak boxes of wine for an euro, you will be charged at least €15 for a wine here, but it could be much more; d) the supper is extremely ritualistic in nature, with waiters going up and down and timing the delivery of new courses all the time; different plates for different courses, different cutlery, etc; whereas some people might like it, I think it's a bit too much faff for a simple meal; I'd rather have a sandwich, or a single bowl of pasta, some yogurt and call it a day; but for that to be possible, one has to go to the market in the opposite side of town and then contend with the tiny rubbish bin in the bathroom. It's time for Italian hotels to catch up with modern times.
- Debbie080915 (6/5): Food quality - We stayed at the Hotel in 2018 , the main reason we decided to came back in 2024 was due to the food quality as it was excellent . Although the hotel is still the same with nice spacious rooms and friendly staff the food quality is poor. I think the management of the restaurant/ kitchen staff have changed for the worse. The main meals were at best ok and mostly inedible eg. one evening I was served a rabbit head with no meat and some soggy cabbage. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for eating at.
- J0hnHat (10/5): Be aware of Crystal Ski transfer times from bardonecchia - This is a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. But if you are travelling with Crystal Ski from EMA I will make you aware of the return transfer time . 31 12 . 23 If you are going with Crystal ski on the Sunday EMA flight be aware that on the return transfer your pick up time at the hotel is 06.35 it is approx 1 hour 15 mins transfer time the return flight time is 12.05 be prepared for a minimum 4 hours at the airport even if your flight is on time. “This is because anything can happen on the way to the airport “ says Crystal Ski !
- Sarah (10/5): Great hotel. About 20 minute walk into town centre. Would definitely stay again if in area - Great hotel
- Nardulli (8/5): Very good - Amazing Breafastt
- Iwan (9/5): Excellent - Friendly staff, secure parking, and the espresso coffee at the bar was a 10/10. The mountain bike park and ski lifts are across the road, and it’s a short walk to the town centre.
- Mauro (8/5): Very good -
- Firebobb (10/5): ***Amazing food and service at this cosy family run hotel*** - My wife and I Stayed here for a week's skiing in January 2023, we had an amazing time, a great spa, incredible service from staff who went above and beyond and an amazing choice and quality of food that was to die for, a great choice of local cuisine and salad bar - A lovely cosy feel at this family run hotel - would definitely stay again thank you so much Ca Fiore !!
- T3920EXcherylw (10/5): Ski Holiday - We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The hotel staff are what make this place. Roxanna the clearer did such a great job and made my stay much more enjoyable.
My 3 yr old son loved the 2 waiters Andras & Johana who went out of their way to make him laugh they were so warm to all the guests.
The place it self is a short walk to campo smith chair lift & ski schools.
Our room was amazing the pictures doesnt do this hotel any justice an I wasn’t expecting much. When we got to our room it was amazing corner large balcony, king size bed, high ceilings, fridge, sky tv with Netflix YouTube perfect for my son at night.
The food was good, I wouldn’t say amazing as the children’s menu was just 3 things every night maybe some veg sticks adding on the buffet & porridge in the mornings would help. I was happy enough with the food choices of one meat, veg or fish dish for mains and all the starters were fantastic.
I liked that dinner was at 7pm and all guests more or less dined at the same time and the full team did this amazingly. Thank you for a great stay we will be staying again.
- alancN1182LN (10/5): Lovely hotel and great Staff - Another fabulous holiday at Hotel Ca Fiore. What makes it great are the staff who deliver every day. Rooms and public areas are kept spotlessly clean and everyone has a willingness to help to make your stay safe and happy. Bardo and Ca Fiore were even mentioned in the Times for a great value skiing holiday! Only want is that the food is slightly better but we never went hungry due to the variety on offer. Thank you to all the staff but thank you Katya for making our stay so special.
- 388twaddle (10/5): Excellent Ca Fiore - What a fantastic hotel Ca Fiore is! Staff are friendly, helpful and professional at all times and always willing to go the extra mile. Hotel was immaculately clean as were the rooms which were a very good size. Beds are extremely comfortable and probably the best beds we’ve had on a ski holiday! Plenty storage space in large wardrobe and hanging hooks for jackets etc! Super bathroom with good shower and plenty hot water and great light over sink was excellent. Lighting in room was cosy but could have been a bit brighter to see in the wardrobe and especially to read the numbers on the safe, but the iPhone torch came in very useful, so not a problem. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed a couple of times, but bedding was on for the week again no problem with that! The location of the hotel is brilliant for getting to the slopes as you can walk to the slopes in about 5 mins but you can use the heated ski boot lockers at Ski Sport Dain which costs about €37 for 6 days to make it as easy as possible! The bar and lounge area in the hotel are lovely and a really welcoming place to come back to and relax with a nice beer or glass of wine! There were always nibbles on the bar in the evenings and some of them hot from the kitchen, a very welcome appetiser before dinner! Food was delicious all the time. Breakfast was a buffet selection of cooked meats, cheese, croissants, hard boiled eggs, cake etc. Dinner was a salad buffet to start with a varied selection of food, all very tasty! Other courses were chosen at breakfast and were all really delicious and there were a choice of a few desserts too! The tiramisu was definitely the star of the week! One of our group was a coeliac and the hotel made sure he was catered for at all times, unlike the mountain restaurants which said they were gluten free but all they had were gluten free biscuits! We’ve stayed in many ski hotels around the world and Ca Fiore comes out number one for everything and one day hopefully we’ll go back but in the summertime as the skiing there is not for us! Highly recommend the hotel!
- wendyw874 (10/5): One of the best skiing holidays we have had - Super friendly Hotel, welcoming with staff that really cared and took pride in the service they provided. Hotel had plenty of character and was clean and comfortable. Superb balcony overlooking the slopes. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily. Thank you for providing a full breakfast on the day we left at 6am in the morning. Food excellent and very plentiful. Drinks were charged at a fair price.
Couldn’t fault anything, lovely pretty resort and hotel that was excellent.
Thank you
- BGS2604 (10/5): A fantastic week. - What a fantastic week. I could not find fault with this accommodation, all the staff were so accommodating and welcoming. We travelled with two young children and nothing was too much trouble. The food was plentiful and if you required an alternative option they were more than happy to provide. As weathered skiers, we booked our children’s ski equipment hire through the hotel recommendations rather than the crystal app. The cleaning staff were so friendly and the rooms were traditionally decorated with more than enough room for 4. We chose the resort as our children are new to skiing and it was brilliant for them! We plan to return.
- 71terenceb (10/5): Hotel ca fiore - Absolutely brilliant. We read lots of reviews before we booked and all pretty spot on. Food was great every night. Staff were very friendly and on the ball with drinks etc. Great location straight across from the lift and baby slopes for beginners. Room warm every night so much that we had to turn it down. Rooms were a bit dark but not really a problem. Wasn't really busy in the spa area so had no problems there apart from the floor was very slippery. My other half had a bad fall. There's mat's down but they're rubber and not much better than the tiles. The skiing area wasn't the best I've been to... especially for beginners. The difference from training slope to the main slopes is pretty big. Blues are more like reds in places and the sun doesn't get over the mountain till quite late so it's pretty Icy most of the day.. especially the blue back down. I can fully recommend the hotel though. 😁
- Carolinepage84 (10/5): Caroline Page - The hotel was fantastic! Clean, warm , friendly. The food is excellent! Close to the slopes.
Johann the waiter is exceptional, his attention to detail never waivers! . Thankyou so much to all the team for making my trip memorable !! I shall be back
- Wanderingpenguin (9/5): Superb -
- Soverna (5/5): Needless to say, Hotel needs soundproof walls, also total refurbishment - Nice bathroom Noisy, you can hear conversations
toilet noise, footsteps, doors slamming
alarm clocks,
