• Loretta (1/5): I was able to save money staying at the River Rapids Inn, but for the quality of the cleaniness of the room and the hote - It had a nice view at the lobby, and faced the escarpment. It was a reasonable value for staying two days and having a kitchenette in the room. It was very unclean, the room was poorly swept with crumbs and garbage found in the corners of the room and under the beds/furniture. The bedding smelled strongly of body odour, and the pillows also smelled of unwashed hair, as if someone had slept in the bed the night prior and the same sheets were used to remake the bed, these same pillows were also streaked with mystery smudges. When I asked for replacements for the bedding I found food crumbs and debris in between the sheets, so I stripped both beds and requested all new sheets for both beds including pillows. Unfortunately even the new clean sheets the front desk staff came back with were stained, some streaked with small reddish streaks I could not determine what they were. I took it upon myself to get some cleaning products at the dollar store to do a more in-depth clean with, and the cloths I used were dirty and brown stained by the time I was finished. To me this proves the room was not cleaned properly. The room itself did not feel fresh first walking into it, it felt dingy and smelled like a combination of food and uncirculated air. I requested to speak with a manager regarding the state of the room but was dodged for the entirety of my stay, in their defence I was offered to switch to another room, but after finally feeling comfortable and cleaning the room myself I was unwilling to switch to another room.

The room was very dusty and was smelling like pets in the corner of the first bed.The bathtub and sink water kept fulling up it needs cleaning. The housekeeper and the young lady that worked in the breakfast dining hall were awesome, caring and most accommodating!!!! Also, great parking available! The train station is only 5 minutes away from the train station! The bus to the falls runs near hotel one block wawy! They also utilize Lyft and tacos. Also, I found a super Walmart! Lol! I had a fabulous 67th birthday! Thank you so much River Rapids Inn!!!🙏🏾♥️💐🌎💯 # 1 In the living room was a sofa that had a broken arm footrest, I was asked if I broke it! No, I did not! It was like that when I initially walked into the room! So my question is, why didn't the room get inspected with the last guest who reserved this room? Why weren't they asked about the broken arm rest? 🤔🎤💯 # 2 When I initially booked the room I had asked for a first floor room and was told it would be available since I explained about my back surgery and no elevator being available; that is not what was given to me upon my arrival!!!????🤔🤔🤔 I'm a disabled senior citizen who was celebrating my 67th birthday. Other than these two incidents, I was very happy for those 10 days!🎂🎈🎈🌎

• Daria (4/5): Могло б бути нормальним, але через сервіс залишилося дуже негативне враження.. - Розташування доволі хороше : поруч MapleLeaf, зручно добиратися WeGo bus. Номер був чистий, в цілому нормальний для проживання. Сніданок стандартний, шведський стіл, без чогось особливого, але окей. На поверсі був дуже сильний неприємний запах, аж до нудоти , це реально було для нас проблемою. Найбільше розчарування- це персонал на рецепції. Рецепціоністки постійно нема на місці. При заселенні ми чекали майже годину і ще мусили її шукати по готелю. При виселенні ситуація була ще гірша: ми попередили, що виїжджаємо рано (близько 6:30), але на рецепції нікого не було, двері були зачинені, і ми навіть не могли вийти з готелю. Довелося шукати кухаря, щоб нас випустили, бо ми із-за цих пошуків запізнювались на автобус. Також є “система” з телефоном на рецепції- залишена карточка з номером, але цей номер просто дзвонить там же на стійці. Тобто якщо працівника немає, це взагалі не допомагає. Персонал поводиться грубо і неввічливо. На питання про сніданок відповідали різко. Через ранній виїзд ми не встигали на сніданок, але ніякої альтернативи чи компенсації нам не запропонували. Загальне враження дуже негативне.

• Corey (9/5): Wonderful surprise, much better than expected! - Beforehand I read the mixed reviews, but I had a very positive experience staying at River Rapids Inn. Their staff were pleasant and easy to get along with, accommodating my bicycle with an exit-floor room. The room itself was large and very clean and neat, even with a mini kitchen which looked quite new. It felt a bit like a studio apartment. Pod coffee machine and some supplied pods/drink sachets was convenient. Quiet building in good condition. Breakfast service had a variety of hot and cold options. Clean soft linens. Coin laundry available and room keeping came by what seemed daily. Situated on the road along the river it was a peaceful area not too far from downtown. Excellent value particularly compared to downtown alternatives. Nothing! :)

• Basheeth Gulam Mohamed (6/5): Horrible experience.. - Customer service is extremely bad. The management didn't respect our complaint and didn't take any appropriate actions for it. During our stay at the hotel, we noticed that the coffee machine wasn't available and even after our polite request for the essential utilities, the management didn't arrange anything. Moreover, The fire alarm went off during early morning around 5 and didn't stop for 30 minutes due to no action taken. Our 2 year old baby experienced a sudden panic and didn't stop crying until sunrise. When we informed the management, they didn't respond accordingly and just replied saying they can't do anything with no respect. Overall, for his horrible experience we request an compensation due to our unsatisfied stay at this hotel with our friend and family during a special day(Eid).

Day staff at the desk could cut back on the perfume almost passed out very small lobby no window open you need to clean remotes for tv and clean the phone, and hair in the bath tub . And you need to salt the parking lot nothing but ice on the way to my car . And tv wasn't good.

Snow wasn’t cleaned, slippery parking at the front, there were some broken wooden pieces at the front door. Early check in mentioned during the booking, but when arrived an hour early front desk staff mentioned that we should have called ahead of time. There was no sorry from the staff.

• David (8/5): Large rooms, great breakfast, short walk to the wego bus stop. - The rooms are large, the air conditioning was good, provided some good white noise to drown out other guests. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. We didn’t use the stovetop kitchen area, but it would be a plus for longer stays or families. We did purchase Wego bus pass and it was a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop, and this gives you unlimited trips to tourist sights. It could have been a bit cleaner. There was a strange odour in one of the stairwells.

• Prakash (7/5): Great value for money - This is one of the few hotels in the area that provide a kitchen with a proper microwave, stove, kitchen sink and refrigerator. That's a rare find for this price and really helpful when traveling with kids. The indoor pool is also nice and water was warm enough to enjoy in winter. The parking fee is also reasonable and breakfast was generous. The hotel itself is a little dated and everything shows signs of age. The AC/heater is really old and struggles to keep up.

We waited 15 min and watched a man make like 5 or more waffles for himself, basically hogging it and leaving nothing for anyone else. The price you see is not the price you pay. Expect to pay $40-$80+ more for your stay. They charge $20 extra per person. They also charge $20 +tax extra for parking Each Night!! The woman at the counter told me it would be $40 for parking for 2 nights then proceeded to ring me up for +45.20. When I asked her about it she simply said taxes. They should state that somewhere upfront. They should have that posted as important information about the property, either w physical signage and esp in the terms or hotel description. It doesn’t leave a good feeling within oneself when you’re squeezed for addition payments and charges when it’s time to check in. Also the cleanliness wasn’t completely up to par. There was gum on our bathroom floor inside our room. There was also boogers and smudges on the walls. The place could use a deep clean from top to bottom to earn a higher grade.

Excellent new flooring, Kitchenette including microwave, bigger fridge and even an amazing stovetop. P.s. pots, pans dishes plates and cutlery included. Has a deep sink and quartz countertops. Coffee maker that works well. The remodel room looks and feels great. Fantastic improvement. The completely renewed bathroom felt, bright and light and a great improvement over the previous bathroom. Sunna works well in pool area. River Rapid Inn has now created an amazing place that people can stay for a few.days cook, chill with free breakfast to boot. The swimming pool was too cold to swim in. We had to request the lights in the pool area be turned on.. Shims need to be placed under the dresser and bed side cabinet. The drawers keep opening.. You have done such a wonderful job with building. If these tiny issues were fixed I would give top scores across the board.. Once last thought. Your staff needs to present an image that they are proud to be working at River Rapids. Wearing a winter coat when serving customers at check-in does not create the welcome you want.

• Pedram Rezainejad (2/5): VERY BAD! - Location I had a reservation for two adults and one child of 9 years old. We got a small room with one double bed, no sofa or any extra bed for my daughter. There was no place for my daughter to sleep and the lady behind recaption didn´t understand that we had a reservation for three people. They charged me extra for a new room. Even when she called her manager to arrange something, she was told not to do! We have a very bad experience with this motel. Also not enough parking places.

Great to have a kitchenet! the pool was amazing and the sauna a big plus. The washroom smelled, the noise from upstairs was loud, not noise reduction on the building structre,
• D (5/5): Basic stay with a decent bed. - Breakfast was standard fare. Time is a bit too short. Dust and dirt along the air con and corners of the room. No plug for tub.
