• Michelle (10/5): Lovely rooms, comfortable bed and welcoming owners, would stay again - The owners were so friendly and welcoming, they even made us breakfast to go as we wouldn’t be able to stay for breakfast as it was my sisters wedding, the bed was sooooo comfortable the shower was lovely, just the whole experience was lovely, I was a little gutted to not be staying to appreciate it longer Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like.

Rooms were comfy, shower was better than my home one. Great locations thing 5 mins walk of the local town and very close to lots of great walks in the peaks. I would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Honestly, nothing!
• Kirby (10/5): - Lovely and quiet. Well situated within walking distance to a lovely pub/restaurant and just a few minutes drive to the woods and reservoirs. Very clean, lovely selection of hot drinks in the room, nice decor, very comfortable bed!! Breakfast was amazing! We felt like VIPs :) We liked all of it!

The b&b was in a central location both for viewing Penistone and for walking on the trans-Penine trail. Both Paul and Sophie were very helpful. Minor point, there was not bedside table on one side of the double bed.

Hij hield maar niet op met tips. iets minder was ook prima geweest.
• Julie (9/5): A little gem of accommodation in the heart of Penistone - Paul and Sophie run a beautiful bed and breakfast. Lyndene is extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The property is located on a quiet road and just a short stroll from the lovely town centre of Penistone. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast which was cooked to order each morning by Paul. We would definitely recommend staying here.

• Karen (9/5): Beautiful, clean and welcoming B & B with the finer touches that resembles home. - It was beautifully decorated with tasteful finer touches. The room was very clean with really good quality cotton bedding. We loved the little extras so check as coasters, hand soap which smelt divine and no sore hands for me which is rare from hand soap. The rooms are well equipped with a very detailed check in which was helpful. Breakfast was good, fresh coffee so home from home for us. The dining room had lovely touches to it and we loved the Hedgehog art and theme running in the room. Paul and Sophie were friendly and take pride in their business which radiates throughout the property. This is a little gem that we will return to.
• Home (10/5): A home from home - Paul and Sophie were the consumate hosts. Attentive without being over bearing. The property is in first class order with everything you could need for a perfect quiet stay. The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked to order every day. As we have family in the area, we have always struggled to find good accommodation but Lynedene ticked all the boxes!! We will most definitely be back. This will be our number one go to in the area.
• Azgooon (10/5): Unforgettable stay at Lyndene - We had the most wonderful two-day stay at this charming B&B and genuinely didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The hosts were warm, attentive, and full of helpful recommendations for local spots to explore. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and so comfortable – every detail had clearly been thought through. The bed was dreamy, and we slept so well both nights. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious.  It’s clear the owners truly care about giving guests a memorable experience, and they absolutely succeeded. We can’t recommend this place highly enough - it’s a true gem.

• Philip (10/5): Shangri-La in a beautiful part of South Yorkshire - Paul and Sophie couldn’t have been more helpful and obliging. We were due at a family wedding at lunchtime and asked if we could drop off bags early. Paul and Sophie went out of their way to not only allow us to drop off bags but also have the rooms ready for us. This allowed our daughter to quickly change for the wedding after a stressful journey which was a real godsend. The breakfast was cooked to order and was just perfect. A really friendly place to stay, immaculately clean and well equipped. Nothing.

The breakfast menu is worthy of a special mention as everything is prepared to order and beautifully presented. The outside of the property is attractive and well kept with flowers and planting everywhere. It was a total pleasure to stay there. That we were not able to stay longer!

It was evident that the owners were trying to save on the heating bill. However, we paid for our stay to be comfortable and due to the continuous cold it wasn’t as good as it should have been.
