• Linda (8/5): Very enjoyable and lovely area. - Great location for an easy walk to the vineyard and lovely walks around the area. Property on a very busy road so a room at the front will be noisy. Staff are very friendly and efficient and food in the bar is drlicious. Noisy road but thats it.

Avevamo un appartamento con due camere da letto, davvero spazioso e carino. Nonostante fosse sopra al pub non ci sono problemi perchè tanto chiudono presto. Si mangia bene, hanno molta scelta e ottimi prezzi. Il locale è davvero molto molto bello. A colazione sono un pò lenti perchè c'è poco personale, però i prodotti sono ottimi. Super consigliato

• Janice (7/5): Ok for a short stay. - We stayed here for 3 nights as we were doing some walks in the surrounding area so the location was ideal. The beds were comfy and the shower was ok with plenty of hot water. The staff were very welcoming and polite. Could have done with a few more mugs and a toaster would have been appreciated. The kitchen tap and the coffee machine leaked so they need attention.

The pub itself was lovely as was the food and service The mattresses are well worn, uncomfortable and well worn. The pillows have been recycled so often that they are matted and uncomfortable. The location cannot help the road noise being adjacent to the A46.

• Lee (7/5): Great staff , food lovely but portions need to be alittle bigger . Bathroom need maintenance. Nice location. - Nice big room , staff were excellent very friendly people made us feel welcome I was really looking forward to this stay, but for £260 a night, the room quality simply wasn't quite there for me. The biggest issue was the bathroom; there is no ventilation, so the whole space smells damp. On top of that, the general upkeep is lacking—the silicone around the shower is in poor condition and the room needs painting in places. You expect a high standard of maintenance and cleanliness at this price point, and it just didn't hit the mark. I was also surprised that breakfast wasn't included. The hotel charges £15 plus the cost of a drink on top of the room rate, which is a little steep. To put it into perspective, we went into Gloucester and paid £25 total for TWO super-sized breakfasts (the full works) plus two drinks. It’s a shame because the staff were friendly and made us feel right at home, and the food in the restaurant was lovely. However, I just think the cost compared to the quality of the room maintenance isn't quite right when you are charging £260 a night.

I was dissaapointed to see in some of the reviews that people had the same issues I have mentioned, several months ago and they have still not been fixed.

• Debbie (7/5): Well appointed apartment with amazing staff /restaurant- hopefu - The staff were lovely and welcoming - the apartment was aesthetically pleasing and had everything we needed - the manager was very helpful and the pub / restaurant was great .. we had an enjoyable stay just needed a few tweaks to make it perfect - Stroud is great too and lots to do and see nearby We had a few issues 🥴🥴 the toilet didn’t flush properly and kept refilling and emptying 🥴- we couldn’t get the coffee machine to work and when we eventually did it leaked everywhere!! The rooms were chilly and it was cold when we were there- we found cosy blankets which helped when sitting in the lounge - the tv reception was intermittent- the manager did come and get the internet connected for us but it kept turning off 🙈🙈 and the bathroom could have been cleaner 🥴🥴

Handy having the bar and restaurant just downstairs, we stayed during the week and it was pretty quiet. The main bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. There was quite a bit of traffic noise in the morning and evening, although it did quiet down later at night

• SARA (3/5): - Because we didn't stay longer than 5 minutes I can't say that there was anything we liked. I have never walked out of accomodation before. We didn't actually stay the night. Corridor outside the apartment had cardboard boxes stacked and other clutter. We walked in heard the noisy road outside and saw the amount of dust on the blinds and dust clogging up the tower fans we walked out and went home. I didn't want to discover anything else.

• Soffio70 (6/5): Appartamentino sopra pub/ristorante - Il prezzo dell'appartamento. Il bagno è il locale che ho apprezzato di più: ampio e recentemente ristrutturato. Fantastica la cabina doccia. Ottima la lavastoviglie nel soggiorno/cucinino. La grande TV. Chiusura del pub/ristorante alle 11 pm. Le coperte di pelo sul divano e sul letto (poco pulite) come i cuscini d'arredo. La moquette in camera: ormai è obsoleta, oltre che anti-igienica. Le tapparelle non schermano dalla luce e la mattina eravamo svegli alle 5. Gli infissi delle finestre sono antiquati e non riparano dal rumore esterno. Il giardino sul retro, sarebbe una gemma se curato e liberato dalle macerie.

WiFi didn’t work which also meant that the tv didn’t work. The shower drains slowly and shower tray is flooding. Very small shower even though there is space for a larger one. Bathroom radiator dusty. The bathroom door does not close properly.

Being in the Cotswolds, buses are obviously limited, but the bus stop outside servicing both Nailsworth and Stroud was ideal for us. The bathroom/shower were fantastic. The bed settee in the front room was uncomfortable and impossible to sit on as a settee, so we pulled it out as a bed to watch Tele. We did run out of coffee, but one of your delightful chefs made us some. The first couple of nights were really hot and although there were fans they were not very effective.

Pub downstairs was nice. It is on a very noisy road and the windows are single-glazed. The apartment was very warm/ stuffy with the windows closed and very loud with them open. But the fans helped!

A fantastic small kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave and induction hob. The staff were wonderful, happy to help in any way. We will definitely visit again.

The apartment had every mod con and was spacious and quirkily decorated. Modern furniture and TV looked good The apartment open stairs were unsafe without a handrail. The bathroom lighting was controlled by opening the door- which didn’t shut, confusing. There were no instructions or welcome pack. No breakfast available but the kitchen was well equipped

• Michael (10/5): - This was an amazing place to stay. If you are looking for an authentic "room above a country pub" experience. This is the place. It does have old pub quirks, the floors arent very level, and the access upstairs is challenging. But the charm of the beams and windows is undeniable. The apartment was beautifully decorated, and if you're into art, this places hums with it. We loved our time here. And its location means its easy to explore Gloustershire and South Wales.

• Stacey (7/5): You pay for what you get... - The food in the restaurant is outstanding and the apartments are gorgeous. Wouldn't normally write a negative review, but our stay was considerably uncomfortable. We visited in April, and it wasn't relatively warm but the room was absolutely sweltering. We did get a fan from staff who told us that you need to keep the blinds fully closed all day as the sun beats through the windows, but spending all your time in an apartment with the blinds closed was quite depressing. The blinds had to stay down anyway as it turned out as they were broken and wouldnt go up. The sofa bed was also some sort of torture device - rock solid! The windows are also single glazed, and as the pub is by a busy main road, it can be very noisy. Only one of the windows opened too! The other one was super glued closed. Such a pity because the staff and everything else was really nice.

• Hannah (8/5): Great apartment, avoid the sofa beds - We stayed in the 1 bed apartment, it had everything you need and was great to have the kitchen facilities. Lovely great big shower and everything nice and clean. I slept on the sofa bed and it was extremely uncomfortable, it’s one of those clic clac sofa beds so the surface isn’t designed for sleeping, you feel all the firm shapes of the sofa design and a big channel down the centre. I basically didn’t sleep so I advise everyone to book an apartment with enough actual beds for your party. But otherwise a great apartment.

We had a very bad sewage smell in our room, the bed and sofa bed was so uncomfortable, I had to ask for bedding for sofa bed whilst we had dinner there, it was really dusty in kitchen part. Could hear cars from outside, which means we had about 3 hours sleep. Regarding smell we had to get a maintenance man in, which didn’t even help. I wouldn’t book again that apartment.
