Guest Reviews
- Donald (10/5): - This was one of our favorite properties to stay at. It is a small boutique hotel and the manager is wonderful. The rooms are clean and modern. The location is excellent. The manager was so good at making sure that we had everything we needed and was helpful with any directions And personal opinions of sites to see. You are right down by the water with mini restaurants and shopping available. The rooms are very quiet and the area is very safe. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.
- Lisa (10/5): - What a fantastic stay! Our room was ready early, our host explained everything about the room. It wasn't a big room but such a fantastic use of space! Plenty of storage, lighting, hot water and even a mini frig. Despite being on a busy street it was completely quiet. Would stay again!
- DAVID (10/5): - Mr. Luka and his son were wonderful hosts. Very friendly to us. Wish all hotels had such great client access.
- David (10/5): - Clean, sleek room and excellent servicd
- Patricia (10/5): Enjoyable stay at Ora - Very clean and comfortable twin room. Luko was friendly and helpful. Rooms are located in a very convenient location for ferry and city bus routes. Similar to a lot of places to stay here there are a few steps to the entrance.
- Jillian (10/5): - Amazing property and owner. Super helpful and kind.
- Amy (10/5): - Great location right across from main bus station & easy walk to ferry ports. Super close access to bus into Old Town as well. Luka was helpful in guiding us with sites & transportation. Easy check-in, beautiful decor & space, only about 1/2 flight of stairs to access unit. Short stay but just what we needed!
- Amber (10/5): - Prime location and all inclusive breakfast are great reason to visit. Excellent staff and service.
- Conor (10/5): - Thank you so much to our host Luca. He waited for us to get in from the airport to let us in and was a professional throughout the whole process. The property itself is conveniently located to a bunch of food spots and to the port where the ferry picks up. The property was as advertised and was super clean. I would 100% stay there again and recommend that stay to anyone traveling to Dubrovnik. Luca also got us a gift and some champagne for our honeymoon which was very thoughtful. Thank you again to Luca!
- Saori (10/5): - ORA Luxury Rooms was great and I highly recommend to anyone visiting Dubrovnik, especially for travelers taking bus from the main station!
The hotel manager Luka was very kind and helpful. He helped us with luggages, suggestions on restaurants, etc, and he even gave us a souvenir, and that was very sweet. The room was nice and had everything we needed. The location was also great as we needed to take a bus from the main bus station right across the street.
Thank you, Luka!
- David (10/5): - This is a hidden gem in the city! Our room was impeccably clean. Luca went above and beyond! He graciously showed us all the amenities to our room. We had a very early check out, yet he was there with a smile. He showed us where to pick up a cab, yet when none were there, he went and found one for us. We highly recommend this property. Room was so clean, so quiet and finally a comfortable mattress in Europe!
- KAIS (8/5): - Excellent & Helpful Staff. Lack of a lift might be a problem for seniors with heavy luggage. This was overcome by the excellent Help of the owner & his son.
Difficulty with parking in front of the property as there is a bus stop making this difficult (and an advantage at the same time).
Lovely country. Beautiful views.
Best wishes.
- Naomi (10/5): - Property was very clean, newly renovated. Luca was an amazing host!
- Naomi (10/5): - Luca was amazing! Great service and room was very clean and newly renovated.
- Brian (10/5): - Only there for one night but superb room over the road from bud terminus & staff could not have been better
- Ralph G (10/5): - Great room convenient to the port. There’s a bus to the old town right outside the front door and a couple of bistros/bars down stairs. It is on a main road, but quieted down nicely at night.
- Amanda L (10/5): Luxury near Bus Station & Dubrovnik Beer Co - Very clean and cozy. Room was sleek and fresh. Had everything I needed and was right across from train station so I didn’t have to take a taxi or lug my bags around too much. I arrived at 6pm from via Bus and left at 6am via Airport Shuttle, I’m sad i didn’t get to spend more time but I’d stay at this location again, right next to local bus stop that takes you to the Old City and only a 5 min (or less) walk to Dubrovnik Brewing Company - call that a win! Cheers.
- Sevara (10/5): - Thank you for being so welcoming and kind. Place is very clean and bed is extremely comfortable
- Mark (10/5): Very enjoyable trip - This accommodation is very conveniently placed just a minute or two walk from the main bus station. The main airport shuttle bus in Dubrovnik terminates at this main station.
So from the airport you step outside, onto the bus, and then into your room with a minimum of fuss once the bus trip is finished.
The rooms are also located 10 metres from the main road and that’s the local bus route into the old town, which is about 10-15 minutes away on the 1a or 1b bus. Coming back from the old town, the local bus stop is right at Ora which is up about 12 steps from the bus stop. Going into town from Ora, the bus stop is on the other side of the road, about 60 metres.
Ora itself is located at the waterway which is the port, so it’s also a scenic walk around the water at the Ora location and there a few cafes and restaurants dotted close around.
The hosts, father and son, could not have been more helpful to me with suggestions and friendliness. When I checked out I made a mistake, leaving my expensive headphones, power adapter and charging cable in the rooms and the owner very kindly posted it express to my next travel location, which I received a few days later. You can’t ask for better customer service than that. My main tip — double check your room before you leave!
I enjoyed my short trip to Dubrovnik, a truly beautiful town, stunning scenery and as if you have walked into a medieval movie set.
And the Croatian hospitality was first rate.
- Sanela (10/5): - Fanns absolut inget att klaga på. Väldigt fint och rent. 10/10 ⭐️
- Patric (10/5): Recomended to stay - Great host with a good sense of service. Rooms were very modern and fresh with great climate control.
- U6839FJtanyap (10/5): Would definitely stay again!! - The room was amazing - very clean, with lots of space, and the beds were very comfortable plus the air con made our room nice and cool for sleeping. The room also had tea & coffee provided, and a mini fridge too. The walk in shower, and bathroom, with toilitries provided, was an excellent standard, all very new and super clean. The double glazing made the room nice and quiet too.
The host Luka was incredibly helpful, and kind, letting us leave our bags very early, so we could enjoy our day, and then check in later. Was also very helpful with local advice, and phone charging too! Very quick to respond by message if you need any extra help.
The restaurant below was very good for food, and the bus stop outside made exploring very easy.
Was ideally placed for an early debark from our boat, and then early departure to airport from the main bus station opposite.
My photos are not as good as theirs, so have left a map instead!
Would definitely stay again.
- Roxaynewest (8/5): Night in Dubrovnik - The rooms are clean and extremely comfortable. Bus to and from Old City just outside door. Luke the manager was wonder and very helpful. Windows are double glazed so noise from port across the road doesn't affect you at all. The only issue is that I'm 73 with bad knees so the steps were horrible, with no railings and then my room was up a spiral staircase. Luke helped so much but this really stopped me going in and out to the city. If you have good knees then this is a great stay
- Andrew (10/5): Brief Trip - My stay was just a brief stop over to sleep before heading to the airport, but it made me wish I would have stayed for several days instead! Luka greeted me warmly and offered plenty of suggestions. The room was clean, well put together, and had everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept so well after a long travel day. Best yet, it was right across from the bus station, so I was easily able to catch the 445am bus to the airport. When I travel to Dubrovnik again I will definitely book here!
- Robert (8/5): - No front desk, but the manager is very easy and flexible to deal with.
- Vijay (8/5): - Very deceptive and hard to find from an external view. We had to search hard. Shops below were helpful and owner was also helpful in carrying our luggage and helping us out.
Our disappointment was - No Breakfast as this is one box I always tick for all my hotels.
- Amy (10/5): - It’s a little outside of the Old Town but right next to the bus station that brings your straight to Pile Gate. I travelled solo and felt safe the whole time both by the hotel area and Dubrovnik as a whole. Accommodation was very clean. Communication with Ora Luxury Hotel was very easy. I used WhatsApp with them which was easier for me to use. I had a fair amount of questions and they were very responsive. They typically responded within a few minutes. Very reasonable in cost compared to other hotels and I would recommend to others staying here.
- Liesel (10/5): - Beautiful property that is very close to transport to do sightseeing in old town. Our host was very considerate and great communicator. Would recommend to everyone.
- Branimir (10/5): Dubrovnik Gruz stay - Very nice and spacious room on the first floor overlooking the Portof Dubrovnik. Just stones away from the Main Bus station and convenient to walk to the beaches on Babin Kuk semipeninsula. Kettle with coffee/tea choice was available in the room and is fully redecorated with ample of storage space and satellite TV. Free Wi-fi is also provided.
- O6483KTkatea (10/5): Excellent - Very neat, everyday room clean. And the manager Lucas was awesome, very kind, lovely, very warm hearted and willing to offer help when you need. We loved our stay and will always be our first choice of stay in Dubrovnik city. Kate from Finland
- nettieday (10/5): Beautiful Studio - Beautiful studio apartment with all you need. Bed was so comfy and everything was modern. Tea/ coffee available and small toiletries supplied. Our room looked out to the port. Across the road from the national bus station. Warning though its up a few outside stairs but the owner was very kind and helped us with our luggage. 2 great restaurants just below.
- 205KimH (10/5): Amazing - We had a great stay here. The owner Luka went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, he even helped us find somewhere to get our washing done. Room had everything we needed. It was modern and very clean. It is a little bit out of the old town but walkable and the bus stops right at the front and drops you in there and runs till late. Thank you for everything Luka.
- Marang (10/5): - Great property to stay at for the price. Nick, the owner is lovely and very accomodating. I got everything I needed. They even gave me a gift for my birthday. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Perfect for solo travellers. Would definitely stay again
- 183maximeg (2/5): Horrible - Very small room (as cupboard) for 140 eur night is unsaine. The sea view... Two people can not be in front of the window at the same time (unless one of them is a baby).
The piktures in the site is for another room (probably in the same building). The appt is far from the center of the city but just near central bus station and ferry departure.
- 773ianw (10/5): Luxury room had all we needed - Arrived by ferry from Hvar and walked to the Ora: an old property, beautifully refurbished in modern style. Buses for the 10 minute ride into the old town stop outside, and are frequent. The bus tickets are cheaper if bought from the kiosk near the stop. There are three restaurants outside the Ora, all available for breakfast. From the bus station across the road, you can take public buses to Montenegro or private trips to Mostar
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Lovely Room Near The Port and Bus Station - LOCATION
Ora Luxury Rooms are located near the port. The location is strategic because it is near Dubrovnik main bus station. It is only couple bus stops to the old city. There are few steps leading to the Ora Luxury Rooms.
HOST
He is very friendly and helpful gentleman.
ROOM
We stay at room number 102. The space of the room is enough for us and our two big luggages. We love the cabinet in the room to store our stuffs.
Note: You should inform the host for your arrival time to make sure a quick check-in.
- ravensgoglobal (10/5): Comfortable and great location for bus station - We stayed in the Ora Luxury rooms for one night as we were catching the bus to Montenegro the next day so wanted to stay close to the bus station and it is just across the road from the bus station. Our host met us at the apartment and explained everything to us and answered our questions. The room was very comfortable, had a lovely bed and a gorgeous shower, probably one of the best we have had while travelling abroad. There is a lovely restaurant at the bottom of the stairs called Bistro 49 where you can have breakfast or lunch. It is also near the bus stop where you can get a bus into Dubrovnik every 15 minutes until midnight so it also a great place to stay if you don't want to stay in Dubrovnik city but stay a little outside. The bus ride only took about ten minutes to get to Pile Gate just outside the city walls. Would definitely recommend staying here.
- MimiFreddo (10/5): Highly recommended! - We arrived very late last night and had to catch an early bus the next day. Our host was patiently waiting for our arrival. Even though it was late at night, he took the effort to show us the facilities of the room. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning, he was there the next morning to send us off with a gift. Though a very short stay but our host leaves a very deep impression for his patience and hospitality. Room is clean and fantastic location beside the bus terminal. I will definitely come back to stay at Ora on my next trip back in Dubrovnik.
- sinituulil (10/5): Lovely! - We just spent one night here and were more than satisfied with the accommodation. Room was modern and spotlessly clean. Gentleman at the reception was so kind and helpful. Would recommend this place and might definitely go back one day :)
- Lillian (10/5): - Beautiful room lots of places to charge your iPhone and iPads!Very clean and great location across from bus station! The owner is very nice and helpful if you need any information! We would recommend this Ora luxury Room for everyone!Only wished we had stayed longer!Sincerely Lillian and Jim Riley
- cafebymary (10/5): Stay in a modern apartment - I had a great stay here. The rooms are really modern and super clean . The owner is very friendly and helpful.
The bus stop is just in front of it so you can easily take the bus to the old city with 12 kuna.
- Misknox (10/5): Excellent stay! The best! - We arrived VERY late one evening after being forced to leave our pre-booked (terrible accommodation) elsewhere.
we were desperate to find somewhere else and stumbled across this little beauty! Myself and my husband rang the young man who said he would meet us at the main door (which is clearly signposted) and let us in.
now by the time we got to the main door it was gone 10pm, the young man shook our hands and let us in.
The whole building had been finished just 2 weeks before we entered. you could tell that it was stunning from the moment you arrived, very professional looking and modern.
heaps and heaps better than the apartment we had just escaped.
he showed us into the room and immediately started showing us the things in the room, how to open the window, how to switch the air con on, how to work the TV ect.
even though it was very late, he didn't rush himself, he was very cheerful and polite. He even told us all about the local buses into the old town and what numbers to get there and back. he told us about the supermarkets and the port and the main bus terminal too.
nothing was too much It seemed.
once he left myself and my husband couldn't take in how beautiful the room was. everything is new and clean and fresh. the bathroom is really stunning.
on the day we left, he met us outside the apartments and gave us a small gift. this was very unexpected and I honestly was so pleased with how we were treated. a good review does not seem enough for tis establishment.
defiantly defiantly would recommend! very good location and price.
- Tony (8/5): Very clean and convenient - This apartment was newly renovated and very modern. Location was great as it was across the road from Port Gruz and the bus station. Great cafe downstairs that was cheap and had excellent food. About 70kn taxi ride to Old Town. Apartment was missing a few amenities like iron and ironing board. No kitchenette or cutlery. The owner was very accomodating and would check daily to see if we needed anything. He even gave us a small gift to remember Dubrovnik before we left. Would stay here again.
