• Rebecca (10/5): Perfect private getaway - Super clean and on the doorstep of Oxnead Hall which is where we had a 3 day event wedding! The bed was amazing, and we had everything we needed.
• Richard (8/5): A really good centre for exploring rural Norfolk, away from noise and traffic. - Extremely quiet, with some excellent walks in the vicinity - river, Bure Valley Railway etc. All the equipment at the property is good quality and works well. We didn't find the instructions for finding the property as informative as they might have been. The last section (turning right just beyond the farm) wasn't clear, and we did go wrong & spend time wondering what on earth to do.
• Jonathan (9/5): A Relaxing and peaceful - It was a lovely cosy cottage, very peaceful and quiet. It was immaculately clean and was decorated to a high standard. The surrounding ding area was beautiful and it was well positioned to explore the area. WiFi was hit and miss.
• Simon (9/5): A cozy little cottage for two in the heart of nature. - This property is just perfect for a peaceful getaway being set in a very desirable location where you can mix quiet countryside walks that are right outside your door, with being close enough to travel to the Broads and other locations of interest around Norfolk. The cottage was in pristine condition, compact but thoughtfully designed and equipped with everything you might need. The weather wasn't particularly kind to us but despite the rain we still found some lovely National Trust properties and when the sun came out went to Horsey to see the Seals, hired a boat on the broads and enjoyed some wonderful local walks and the abundance of wildlife during our 4 night stay. Property (inside) WiFi speed only adequate for intermittent text so make sure you have the keybox code before arrival, download 3.03Mbps / upload 0.44Mbps. Upon arrival we noticed that the 2 seater chair had a bad smell that perhaps the previous tenants had spilt something on it. We aired all the cushions outside but the smell would not go and by the 2nd night had become unbearable. We contacted Michelle the next morning and the seat was removed and replaced within an hour by Gary, fortunately they had a spare, Fantastic! We also requested a lighter TOG duvet as the one supplied was particularly heavy and too warm for the season, Michelle immediately replaced it with two single duvets but sadly these were also a high TOG and too warm. We were very pleased with Michelle and Gary being on hand and acting so promptly to put things right for us, its a shame that we waited 2 days before asking them, such lovely people.

• Rachel (8/5): A chance to explore while staying in comfort. - Rural location, pretty walks, very modern, comfortable accommodation. Signage to the property - small, low level sign, on the left, leaning against a tree. I travelled alone, therefore driving on the right looking for a sign on the right! No satnav.

• Philip (10/5): - Lovely little independent cottage with every mod con that you could want. Although we didn't actually meet the owners, we had clear emailed/texted instructions. The location is really beautiful by the river in the woods.
• Anne (10/5): Warm, cosy, quiet, VERY clean - I've never stayed somewhere so clean and tidy. It looks like it has only just been renovated and decorated. Tea, coffee, a little milk and some biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. Note to other guests: The access track is not tarmaced with a few potholes (we would have been nervous bringing the Lotus along there) but it's ok in a normal car driven with respect. This does of course mean the location is really quiet. Husband was woken up by a woodpecker one morning and a pheasant another. No chance of any traffic noise. Cottage was warm despite plummeting temperatures during our stay. Power shower is amazing. About the only thing not provided is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Bed is comfy. High quality duvet, linen and towels. Biggest compliment - I would stay there again if in the area.
• Derron (10/5): In My Top Five!! - This is a fantastic little hide away!! All the mod-cons, beautiful, secluded and quite surroundings. The property is to the very highest of standards and for the nightly rate it is a true bargain not to missed. As a very frequent traveller the Rivers Rest is in my top 5!! Be it business or pleasure this place is a gem!! Absolutely recommended, you will not be disappointed!!
