- Dee (1/5): Great amenities, but not worth the risk of ending up in the emergency room from a brown recluse bite. - Love the shampoo and conditioner and body wash they provide for you. The bed was very comfortable. I did not like finding a clump of black curly hair sitting on the drain and without having glasses on, was stepped on and thought I touched an animal. I also did not like finding a brown recluse in the room while traveling with service animals.

The pending charge also did match email do we will see if corrected. Also said I could get a copy when u checked out because it was third party. First time in all my booking.com stays. - Charles (10/5): One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, in a long time. - Everything. On our cross country road trip, this was the best place we stayed. We showed up late and the lot was entirely full, and the girls at the desk were about to change shifts, some went out and moved her car so we could park. The bed was more comfortable than my memory foam with down topper at home, the shower had excellent pressure and it didn’t melt your skin if you turned the handle a mm to far. It was clean, quiet, and in a safe area. I don’t know what else I could have asked for. That I only stayed here on my eastbound leg of our trip, and missed out on the westbound leg.

- laurawA8701MH (10/5): Great experience! Great hotel! - We had an amazing stay at Tru by Hilton Amarillo West. The hotel was extremely clean and had a fresh, minimalist modern design that made everything feel bright and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire property was spotless. Great location with easy on/off access to the interstate. Bright, modern aesthetic and immaculate. Breakfast bar was good although they could use a little more help to keep things stocked during busier hours. It had a great selection, and we loved the 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate station—such a nice touch after a long day of traveling. It’s also pet-friendly, which is always a huge plus. The only negative observation is that rooms are not designed for those that are shorter in stature. The shower head adjustment is very high and the only location to hang clothes is a bar that’s at least 7’ off the ground. It was fine for me (5’9”) but my SIL Is 5’2” and wasn’t able to reach this bar. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every employee we encountered was welcoming, efficient, and genuinely personable. They made the whole experience even better. Natasha and Melinda at the front desk were remarkable Overall, a fantastic stay. We would absolutely choose this hotel again when visiting Amarillo.

- travelnutFromChicago (2/5): High pitched whine in room, hard uncomfortable beds, breakfast issues. Just avoid this location! - High pitched whine in the room (bearing failing most likely) from the constantly running bathroom fan. When I reported it I was told they are aware of it and its in all the rooms and they haven't been able to address it so it drove us nuts hearing that all night in the room! Literally gave me a bad headache. Next I couldn't believe how uncomfortable the beds were! We've stayed here 4 times in the past 7 years with the most recent stay being in October 2025 before this and at this point won't stay again! October the only real complaint was cold nasty eggs unedible. This time the Yogurt machine down (not working) with a 'sorry' sign was disappointing as well. Between the high pitched whine (really sounds like a bearing going in the main blower motor), the uncomfortable beds and AGAIN cold nasty eggs for breakfast, it's just not worth trying again when there are many other options around! Next time we'll try the new Spark by Hilton instead because this run down place has seen better days! Additionally, Our room (422) had a badly leaking shower (doors didn't seal properly so water was all over the floor! Also the bathroom door was delaminating badly. The bathroom floor was filthy (as evidenced by mopping up all the water with one of the white towels turning nasty dirty! Just a miserable stay! Crazy how things changed so much from just 4.5 months ago!

Can't speak highly enough of their staff. Room was a little small and didn't leave a lot of space for a family traveling with little ones but no real complaints otherwise.

The bed was comfortable enough and I loved the little touch of your name on the tv. Solid breakfast experience a staff was kind and helpful. Small detail but oddly enough our coffee lids didn’t fit.

- ANAYA (8/5): - Great location, clean, kind staff, 24/7 coffee!!! Breakfast started a bit late for us. We were there for an event and had to leave each morning by 630 and that is when it started. Maybe if the event happens again they can start it at 530 as there was large groups.
