• Thomas (4/5): Ein Wohnzimmer, das mindestens 5 Sterne verdient. Aber ... - Sehr zentrale Lage, fußläufig ist alles, wirklich alles zu erreichen. Das Wohnzimmer ist geradezu prachtvoll, sehr gemütlich, ein wunderschöner, sehr großer Raum; die Schlafzimmer, sehr klein, sind ausgesprochen charmant eingerichtet. Die Begrüßung: 1 Flasche Prosecco, Marmelade, Toast für ein Frühstück, Milch im Kühlschrank und Wasser, etwas zu knabbern und frische Blumen (auch sehr geschmackvoll) auf dem Tisch. Die Wohnung ist mit dem Auto nicht erreichbar, das Parken ist schwierig, unser PKW wurde am ersten Abend abgeschleppt (Talete, gebührenpflichtig 45 € für 3 Tage, am Abend sind alle Plätze belegt); wir besaßen nur einen Schlüssel, dieser war an das Stromnetz der Wohnung gekoppelt; verließen wir die Wohnung, gab es in dieser keinen Strom mehr, auch das Wasser funktionierte nicht; getrennt konnten wir nichts unternehmen, es sei denn, einer blieb in der Wohnung zurück und konnte den Rückkehrer wieder einlassen. Um auf die "Terrasse" (4qm) zu kommen, mußten wir uns am Bett vorbei zwängen; auf jener steht die Wasserpumpe, die sehr laut ist. Des Nachts sollte niemand einen Wasserhahn betätigen oder auf die Toilette gehen, es sei denn, es wird im oberen Schlafzimmer bei geschlossenem Fenster geschlafen. Sehr viel Wasser muß verbraucht werden, bis dieses warm wird. In der Küche dachten wir Anfangs, daß dort kein warmes Wasser anliegt, alle Vorgänge waren bereits erledigt und das Wasser blieb kalt. In der Küche fehlt alles, was zum Kochen notwendig ist. Es gab kein Messer, womit wir Brot oder Zwiebeln oder Knoblauch schneiden und schälen konnten. Wir kauften ein Messer und einen Espressokocher (für Induktion), weil die beiden vorhandenen verrostet und verschimmelt waren. Den Espressokocher ließen wir auch zurück. Die Nespressomaschine produzierte etwas, das wir nicht mochten. Eierbecher gab es keine (Schnapsgläser taten es auch). Über den Zustand der Dusche verliere ich kein Wort. Ich mied sie und benutzte einen Waschlappen. Müllhaufen auf dem verschlossenen Schrank an der Eingangstür; ein größerer Mensch sieht ihn, bevor er die Stufe zur Tür hinabgeht. Schmierige Griffe an den Küchenschränken, Schmutz in den Ecken. Die oberen Räume sind nur in gebückter Haltung zu erreichen. Die Matratzen der Betten sind geteilt und zur Mitte hin abfallend; wir umgingen das "in der Kuhle schlafen" und nutzten beide Schlafzimmer.

• Rebecca (10/5): - Comfortable, stylish accommodation with all the facilities you need for a relaxing stay, nice touches of fresh fruit, biscuits and wine, and a perfect peaceful location. Laura is an extremely helpful and welcoming host who is very responsive to any messages. Having to go home!

• Stephanie (9/5): Very spacious - This property was in a great location and so easy to get to. Self check in instructions were easy to follow and Laura was able to accommodate an early check in which was very much appreciated. The property itself is so spacious - larger than the pictures show. It’s felt very luxurious to have so much room after so many smaller places for the same price around Europe. There is also a great balcony upstairs amongst the rooftops. Highly recommend.

• Marilena (10/5): Wonderfully large, well located apartment - The accommodation is well located in the historic area of Ortigia. Near supermarket, cool bars and restaurants. The accommodation is very well equiped with large living and dining area. Very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. When we arrived we appreciated the welcome snacks and fruit, bottled water, juices, tea and coffee. The host Laura was very helpful and replied promptly to any questions. We would not hesitate to stay again if we were to come back thankyou
• John (10/5): A joyous place to stay in the heart of Ortigia - A beautiful apartment with a very spacious living room offering great comfort. Both bedrooms had large and comfortable king sized beds and separate bathrooms for privacy and convenience. The kitchen has ample amenities including a spacious fridge/freezer, hobs, oven and an excellent coffee machine. Air conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms was much appreciated in the heat of the Sicilian summer! Amazing location, just around the corner from the Temple of Apollo, the fresh fish and fruit market, two very cool bars for vinyl music and cocktails, and just a five minute walk to swim in the sea by the city walls. Also a stone's throw from the taxi ranks for easy arrival and departure. Couldn't be better!

• Almos (8/5): Good location near to Temple of Appolo. - Location is perfect in Ortegia. Dark rooms, not so many Natural lights, The facade under reconstruction. The water heating System - boiler is quite small capacity

• Jane (10/5): Central location. Excellent amenities. Beautiful furnishings. - Beautiful property in ideal location. Everything you need is considered and supplied. Laura maintained excellent communication and was very supportive when our return flight home was cancelled. There are comments about the scaffolding on the adjacent building obscuring the view, but honestly unless you plan to sit in the lounge all day it has no impact on your stay! All rooms now have air conditioning both upstairs and downstairs. Lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers too. Could recommend this highly! I was in a break with my daughter so 2 double bedrooms worked well for us. Nothing negative to say, we’d come back to this lovely property and area in a heartbeat. • Sarah (9/5): Excellent place to stay. - Beautifully appointed, perfectly clean. Great location. Roof terrace a delightful bonus. It would have been nice to meet a person and be able to ask questions/ get information - texting is not the same! There was little local information and no instructions for appliances. Tall people might struggle with some roof heights - luckily we are both very short!

• Rosemary (7/5): Lovely apartment…once the scaffolding is gone. - Good central location. Good sized living area. Well equipped in kitchen. Very clean. Owner gave us 2 extra nights free….which suited us…..but we would not have booked this apartment if we had been made aware of the building work going on! Building work directly in front of entire living area of the apartment. Scaffolding that completely blocked the front of the property….no light and very cold. Upper level is a mezzanine…very low head room to access bedroom and bathroom. No shower in upstairs bathroom. Washing machine didn’t work. Noisy corner night time bar.

• Carol (10/5): Excellent property in a fascinating historic location. - Location excellent - close to Apollo's temple in Ortegia and easy to find. Breakfasts were vouchers in nearby cafes which was a nice treat. Communication was excellent, even though we never met the host, but all messages were dealt with immediately and check in very easy. Apartment spacious and nicely decorated. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. Nothing

• Pamela (10/5): Like stepping back in time but with a modern twist - The apartment was incredible. The architect who designed it is a genius. And the very stylish interior is so very classy. We celebrated a special occasion and our host Laura very kindly left a gift for us. The amount of thought that the hosts put into your stay is unbelievable. Nicest place I have ever stayed in Nothing. Everything was more than perfect
