Quelle chambre incroyable 😍 La vue sur les montagnes et la piscine, le salon entièrement ouvert sur la nature, les colibris et les papillons dès le matin, un rêve éveillé! Le petit-déjeuner est un peu léger si on ne peut pas manger d'œuf, mais tous les repas sont excellents 😊

Pas de service ménage, lits trés petits, pas de porte pour chambres enfants. Petits déjeuners et repas non compris dans le prix pourtant trés élevé !!! Grosses disparités de prix entre les chambres et les profils de voyageurs. j ai payé plus de 600 € pour 2 nuits, quand d'autres voyageurs payaient 15 € ( en dortoirs) mais pour avoir accès aux mêmes prestations : piscine....

Rhea (10/5): Absolutely amazing - This place is truly amazing ! Everything about it is fantastic. We walked up, it’s not that hard, we did it everyday in fact. Just don’t bring a bag that’s too big. So if you’re put off but the price of the 4x4 or the safety of the moto taxi, waking is a very doable option. It’s a bit sweaty. But the pool is very refreshing (after a shower). They could make the food vegan everyday.
Rozalia (9/5): The most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life - Mundo Nuevo offers a truly spectacular experience in many ways. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the facilities are excellent, the food is delicious, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It is undeniably a beautiful place to stay, with so much potential to create a meaningful connection between guests and the surrounding environment. I left with important questions about how the “eco lodge” identity is being defined and practiced. While the setting itself is immersed in nature, several aspects did not seem aligned with what many guests might expect from a place carrying that title. For example, the pool uses chlorine, bleach appears to be used heavily for cleaning, and although there seems to be a farm-to-table system, this was not actively promoted or integrated into a broader sustainability narrative. I initially chose Mundo Nuevo expecting a stronger plant-based or vegetarian focus, but noticed meat has now been added to the menu, which felt inconsistent with the ecological image I had anticipated. More broadly, there was little communication around sustainability practices, ecological philosophy, or environmental responsibility, which made me wonder what specifically defines the lodge as “eco.” I also noticed what felt like an effort to separate the hotel experience from certain aspects of nature, such as snakes or ants, often treating them primarily as nuisances to be removed or killed. While guest safety and comfort are of course important, being in such an environment also invites reflection on coexistence and respect for the ecosystems we are entering. True eco-consciousness, in my view, goes beyond location and aesthetics—it includes intentional practices, education, and a deeper philosophy of living in relationship with nature rather than simply being surrounded by it. Mundo Nuevo is a stunning destination with many strengths, but I believe there is an opportunity to more clearly embody and communicate what being an eco lodge truly me
Tisha (10/5): 100% recommend - This place is paradise! Watching sunsets from the pool was an experience for itself. Food is really good, tastes like mama's cuisine (always vegi and meat options). The staff is friendly, few activities to do around but you will not want to leave this place anyway :) bit tricky to get up there but if you arrive in minca before sunset it should be no problem to find a 4x4 or moto -

Iwona (9/5): - I absolutely loved my stay at Mundo Nuevo. Being surrounded by jungle made it feel peaceful and magical, and the sunsets were honestly some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Starting the day with morning yoga was such a perfect touch, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming the whole time. The food was also amazing – big portions and really delicious. It’s a perfect place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature. I would definitely come back!
Sophia (7/5): Finger weg vom 7er Dorm! - Der Ausblick, der Pool, manchmal das Essen !!!Der 7er Dorm ist eine Frechheit!! Die Angestellten sind eine Katastrophe leider - sehr unfreundlich. Das Zimmer ist winzig, gerade mal eine Person kann zwischen den Betten gehen. Ebenso gibt es dort absolut keine Ablageflächen im Zimmer und keinen Platz sowie kein eigenes Badezimmer für eh schon 7 Personen. Die beiden Bäder inkl. 2!! Toiletten werden nicht nur zu 7. geteilt, sämtliche Angestellten sowie alle Gäste des Restaurants nutzen sie ebenfalls. Absolutes Nogo Nach meiner Nachfrage warum es im 7er Dorm kein warmes Wasser gibt (Abends kühlt es dort auch gern mal auf 23 Grad ab), wurde mir patzig geantwortet, dass keiner der Dorms warmes Wasser hat und ich gerne ein Doppelzimmer buchen kann. Den Dorm hätte ich selbstverständlich trotzdem zu bezahlen, stornieren geht nicht. Tatsächlich stimmt dies so nicht, alle Zimmer haben warmes Wasser nur der 7er Dorm nicht (der kostet gerade mal 3€ weniger - eine Frechheit) Leider hat diese Nachfrage gereicht, um sämtliche Angestellten gegen mich aufzubringen. Ab Tag 1 wurde ich ganz klar schlechter behandelt als andere Gäste Die Essenszeiten erinnern an ein Retreat, es gibt nur bis 9 Frühstück, Mittags nur um 1Uhr und abends um 7 Uhr Dazwischen kann man Monsieur Croque bestellen - da musste ich fast lachen als ich den labbrigen Toast mit ein bisschen Käse gesehen hab (absolut nicht empfehlenswert) Fazit: Das Hostel könnte wirklich großartig sein wären da nicht die riesen Mängel Also: keinen 7er Dorm buchen und genügend Snacks mitbringen, dann kann man dort eine grandiose Zeit haben

Ralf (10/5): Natur pur mit wunderschöner Aussicht - Natur pur, das Zimmer mit dem Ausblick war wunderschön. Wir hatten eine große, offene Terrasse, ein Schlafzimmer mit Moskitonetz, dass gebraucht wird und eine Dusche und Toilette im Zimmer. Für uns hat alles gepasst.

Le petit déjeuner pourrait être inclus vu le prix des chambres, et l’isolement de l’hôtel qui fait quasiment une obligation des prendre tous les repas sur place . Les chambres restent petites et très mal isolées du bruit, car très proches les une des autres . Ménage non fait quotidiennement , poubelles des toilettes non changées par le fait . Bar très moyen dans la réalisation des cocktails et la diversité.

Julia (10/5): ruhige Oase in den Bergen von Minca mit toller Anlage - Wie schon in vielen Bewertungen beschrieben, ist dieser Ort wirklich eine kleine Oase. Die Unterkunft liegt oben in den Bergen, sodass man mit Gepäck am besten mit einem Jeep oder ähnlichem Fahrzeug hinauffährt. Alternativ gibt es im Ort Motorrad-Taxis, die einen ebenfalls bequem nach oben bringen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt, umgeben von beeindruckender Natur und mit einem herrlichen Pool, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Morgens werden Yoga-Kurse angeboten, außerdem gibt es verschiedene Aktivitäten, an denen man teilnehmen kann. Vor Ort kann man Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen bekommen – immer mit leckeren vegetarischen Optionen zu fairen Preisen. Insgesamt strahlt dieser Ort eine unglaubliche Ruhe aus. Ein perfekter Platz, um abzuschalten – am liebsten würde man für immer dort bleiben. Nichts

The roads (dirt tracks) upto the property were terrible. Some sections were worse than others and definitely need to be sorted out!

Anissa (7/5): Je ne reviendrais pas ici - - la vue est incroyable - la nourriture est bonne le dortoir est petit, pas d’intimité, la douche est complètement à l’extérieur. Sous un toit en tôle donc horriblement chaud durant la journée. Hyper bruyant le matin car à côté de la cuisine. La plus cher auberge que j’ai pris en Colombie et franchement je recommande pas. Il font hôtel aussi. Je pense qu’il devrait ne faire que hôtel et pas auberge. D’ailleurs patience au Check in ils font passer les gens en hôtel en priorité même si vous attendez à la réception depuis 2h. La personne à l’accueil n’est pas très agréable

Michaela (10/5): Perfekt, wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder. - Wir haben ein kostenloses Zimmer-Upgrade bekommen. Das Essen vor Ort ist lecker und reichhaltig. Das Personal nett und zuvorkommend. Die Aussicht ins Tal ist atemberaubend und es werden jeden Morgen Yoga-Klassen auf der Aussichtsplattform für nur 20.000 Pesos angeboten. Das Bett ist sehr hart. Es hat keinen Lattenrost, sondern einfach nur Bretter unter der Matratze. Damit wäre das Problem vermutlich behoben.

Sophie (9/5): A gem of a place! - Super clean, kind and helpful staff, cute dogs and cats, amazing location, interesting activities nearby, gorgeous pool, flowers everywhere, super relaxing and delicious food. The top beds of the bunk beds are not safe for older adults or young children because they lack a railing and a way to safely climb. We requested and were given another room without too much trouble. Also, the quiet times were not always respected by other guests.

It's about 20 minutes further up than Minca - you'll have to take a moto taxi (if you have a backpack only) or a 4x4 truck (for suitcases) to go up there. It's quite remote and quiet. We loved our stay! The view for sunset is amazing. Pros: - The food is good - The pool is amazing! There's a bar out there too if you'd like a drink - There's a bunch of activities you can do (Birdwatching is great, visiting the cacao farm nearby is awesome, going to waterfalls too!) - Quiet space where you can meet other travellers - We had the Jaguar room and it was perfect for a couple - romantic and beautiful! - The view is unbeatable The mattress was quite hard so we had a hard time sleeping

La vie y est douce, idéal pour se ressourcer. Presque tout le monde rajoute une nuit :) Personnel aux petits soins et flexible. Les repas tous ensemble à heure fixe créent une bonne ambiance, propice à l’échange - mais chacun respecte l’intimité des autres également. C’est très bon, majoritairement végétarien (option viande possible le soir), et bien copieux L’arrivée en moto est surprenante et ajoute un peu d’aventure ! La personne qui anime le bird watching est passionnée

I would definitely come back but only if I know for sure that no children are allowed Not related to property. But this place must be adults only and no children should be allowed. Guests pay so much money to relax and unwind in the peaceful mountains. Unfortunately, we only experienced this one day , the rest of the stay was fully disturbed by a disrespectful family with very active and loud children, all below the age of nine. The whole atmosphere changed in the property and obviously all couples and adult guests were complaining. If parents can’t make a reasonable judgement what is child friendly and what isn’t then maybe the property should make it clear that it is not a place for children
Eszter (10/5): A legjobb hostel ahol valaha voltam! - Az eddigi legjobb hostel ahol valaha is voltam. Nagyon finom ételeket főznek, szuper áron. A személyzet annyira figyelmes, hogy a nevemre és sokszor még a szobámra is emlékeztek. Én gyalog mentem fel a szállásig, a nagy hátizsákommal 1,5 óra volt. Érdemes inkább mototaxit hívni, mert brutál nehéz volt felmenni.

Catarina (6/5): Apenas uma vista bonita, nada mais a oferecer. - A vista é sem dúvida incrível, mas para além disso, não há grande coisa a apontar. Quase tudo. A começar nos funcionários que eram extremamente rudes e mal educados, à pouca flexibilidade das refeições, em nenhum dos dias consegui tomar o pequeno almoço porque o mesmo só é servido até às 9h, o almoço é servido às 13h e o jantar às 19h. E é isto. Se quiseres comer alguma coisa no entretanto não consegues porque simplesmente não há comida disponível na propriedade. Não houve yoga em nenhum dos dias em que eu lá estive. Todas as cascatas são longe então basicamente tens de ficar no hotel o dia inteiro. Pedi por mensagem, mais de uma vez para me colocarem num quarto com mulheres, qual não foi a minha surpresa quando no meu quarto era eu, mais 3 homens em que um deles estava bebado e outro drogado. Não foi bom. O hotel é estupidamente caro para aquilo que oferece. Ok a vista é bonita mas não compensa o resto.

Sandra (9/5): Wir haben diesen Ort, die Ruhe, Blumen, Vögel und natürlich den tollen Pool sehr genossen. - Die Küche im Mundo Nuevo ist geschmacklich wirklich ausgezeichnet und vielseitig. Auch für meinen Partner wurden immer tolle glutenfreie Alternativen gekocht. Es gibt 3 verschiedene Frühstücksagebote. Sollte als für jeden etwas passendes dabei sein. Unsere Kinder liebten die frischen Pancackes/Waffeln mit der leckeren Schockolade zum darüber giessen! Die Lage ist nicht "dorfnah", es ist ein gutes Stück oberhalb von Minca mitten in der Natur mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht.

joaquin (10/5): Volvería al menos una vez por año a ver ese atardecer y estar tirado en las hamacas. - El desayuno es muy bueno, y todos los que trabajan allí son tan amables y divertidos que lo hace aun mejor. La cena muy buena también y el lugar realmente es de lo mejor del mundo. El atardecer en la pileta fue diseñado por dios. Yo no pondría música al atardecer, pero es una cuestión gustos. Había gente que, por movimiento de sus hombros, parecía estar disfrutando la experiencia.
Sergey (7/5): Обработайте пожалуйста траву. - Прекрасное место расположение. Шикарные удобные кровати!! Наконец-то увидели тукана )). Посетить конечно необходимо. Огромное количество кровососущих и кусающихся насекомых. Невозможно находиться у бассейна и тем более выйти на зеленую террасу без репеллента. Это испортило все впечатление. Ну и еда))) вегетарианская, но это моя ошибка)) не был внимательным.

Charlotte (9/5): Rustgevend - Geweldige views & zonsondergang, lekker middagmaal & avondmaal, heel rustige plek. Elke ochtend yoga aangeboden met zicht op de bergen en de zee. Koud water in de douches voor de dorms, bedden zijn hard & deur van de kamer maakt heel veel lawaai bij open en toe doen. Ontbijt was matig.

Theye (10/5): Great place to chill and relax! - Loved our stay there! Perfect place to relax and chill (especially after the Ciudad Perdida Hike for us). Not walkable into town but that makes it even greater to just hide away for a while. Great mix between hostel and hotel.
James (10/5): Heaven! - This is a destination in itself. Set high above the town of Minca an oasis awaits you. With beautiful grounds and an infinity pool overlooking the mountains there really is no reason to leave! The staff are however what really make this experience. Everyone we interacted with went out of their way to help us, we’re kind, joyful and friendly. I really could not recommend coming here more. Absoutley nothing. If you can get this place on your Colombian itinerary then you should!
