Guest Reviews
- Sheenagh (9/5): -
- Veronica (9/5): Great - A spacious, comfortable apartment that was impeccably clean and fully stocked with all essentials. The added extras, such as some food items and coffee capsules, were a nice touch. The property was excellent and I genuinely have no complaints. If I had to mention anything, the only minor frustration was that the TV responded a bit slowly to commands.
As per the location, Killyleagh itself is a lovely small town, though many places were closed over the weekend and most only accepted cash. The good news is that Eurospar is open from early morning until late evening, which was really convenient.
- O'Loughlin (10/5): April stay - We arrived on a very cold day in April and the heating had been switched on in advance. We very much appreciated that. Very well located, very comfortable and close to areas of natural beauty.
- Maeve (10/5): - The apartment was everything that we needed. Extremely clean and spacious. Excellent location. There wasn't anything I disliked about the apartment.
- Kelli (8/5): -
- eugene (10/5): cozy, warm and very clean.. right in the centre of town so very convenient. -
- Quinn (10/5): - Apartment spotless clean and warm
Had a great stay and will definitely stay again
- Michael (10/5): -
- philip (10/5): -
- Lise-Ann (9/5): - Comfortable, clean, cozy, convenient.
Well managed.
- Chris (7/5): -
- Shona (10/5): Perfect! - The two apartments were perfect for our group. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the apartment was nice and warm and the decor was great. The location was also perfect.
- Paul (10/5): - This is a lovely property on the shores of Strangford Lough. Ideal for a relaxing weekend.
- Connell (10/5): Super comfortable and spacious for a stay with 2 kids and 2 adults - Everything was perfect it felt like being at home How small the towels were but informed sharon already
- Kerstein (8/5): Well located property in the middle of Killyleagh close to the pub for easy dining. - The location is great, Parking a little tricky. The property had run out of soap in the shower and didn't have any laundry soap. Small touches that would've made the stay easier.
- Mary (9/5): Great stay in comfortable well equipped apartment in great location. - Comfy bed well equipped lovely yellow and grey decor. Great location. Loved the cafe right underneath and the fact you could park right outside. Very helpful communication It was a bit warm and claustrophobic because the windows didn't open fully and the boiler in the kitchen is on permanently. There was a fan and when we asked found out two windows opened partially. Difficult when three of the sashes onto main road owners worry about security but for the health of inhabitants and the building much better to repair sash windows so both top and bottom open and then fit sash locks or even shutters. Bathroom sashes don't open at all. There is a fan but not powerful enough and you can already see there are problems with lack of ventilation to this room.
- Alan (8/5): - It was a clean humble place to stay. The shower was an emergent heater style. Every few seconds, the water went cold. There was a kitchen, livingroom, as well as 2 bedrooms. We loved the layout of the place.
- Camila (9/5): -
- Kathryn (7/5): -
- BUNTIN (8/5): A good base to see the sights and feel part of the place. - We liked the location in the centre of KillyLeagh. It was a good base to travel from. Close to Eurostar petrol and good bar/restaurants. It's worth having a walk down the hill to the harbour. Nice decor, clean and tidy. Nice bathroom with shower over bath. There weren't that many utensils if you want to cook. Traffic noise from street in the evenings. The boiler made the apartment hot even in the middle of a heat wave.
- Kimberly (10/5): Take the time to enjoy this lovely place! - This was a FABULOUS stop during our around the country tour of Ireland! I HIGHLY recommend using the deep tub and reading a book! I also recommend downloading and using What's App so you can contact the host. We were nervous at first when we couldn't find our previous e-mail on our phones but Phillip sent a second e-mail and then we were gran! The biggest problem was not being able to phone because of the UK's restriction on long distance numbers. (Again, What's App is a great suggestion!) We liked that it has a washer/dryer in one but be prepared for your clothes to be horribly wrinkled afterward. (No fault of the host, just need to be aware.) Also, there are 4 sets of stairs (equivalent to 2 sets in the US) and no elevator/lifts. Again, just so guests are aware if you have heavy bags. There is a lovely cafe on the first floor of the apartment but it does not open before 9am! The hosts left a book of suggestions and once we were able to make contact with one another, the visit was wonderful! I would recommend this apartment to others. Take advantage of the SPAR store down the street and prep breakfast at the apartment. My only feedback for the hosts are a pour over for coffee vs. the coffee pods, and a fresh sponge for cleaning dishes.
- Louise (8/5): Many thanks - A lovely apartment Noisy road
- Thompson (10/5): Beautiful - It was perfect my family live in Shrigley and killyleagh we went for nans ashes burial into her parents grave it was in st Mary’s star f the sea we went to Poland’s and the international had the wake in the dufferin the location was perfect an the apartment was exceptional !
- Joy (10/5): - The property was really spacious and clean. The hosts were helpful when we reached out. It’s also situated at the centre of the town. The townsfolk were really nice and friendly. The only downside is the local transport to belfast city centre which is quite limited and did not seem to operate on Sunday, we were actually lucky to have our own car. Other than that, if you’re looking to have a nice quiet time, this is the place to be
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bairbre (9/5): Superb -
- Tyler-lee (10/5): Amazing - Was amazing, relaxing apartment with absolutely everything you will need!!

- Billy (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Whelan (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely well located. The added bonus was the coffee machine as my husband and I are coffee lovers.
We stayed Halloween night , thanks to the local teenagers we had a fireworks display it wasn't too disruptive as they moved along quickly
The property was easy accessible
- Mary (9/5): Great apartment in lovely location - Very well appointed house, super clean, well equipped. Great location in lovely town. Would suggest securing the ropes to raise the blinds for child safety. A duvet for the sofa bed would be good also.
- Eloise (9/5): Superb - Could do with a loo brush !
- Andy (8/5): Spacious clean apartment - but watch out for the loyalists - Incredibly clean, everything was modern and in great condition. The bed was fantastic- I had a few nights of the best sleep I’ve had. All the extras in the kitchen were much appreciated. Only a couple of small things -
the TV remote control is very old, and even after I changed the batteries the buttons stuck and sometimes I couldn’t actually access the channel I wanted.
I didn’t need to use the heating but I wasn’t clear how it worked. In the guide you stated that it is constant but just to check I turned the thermostat up but it didn’t come on. I think this needs to be clearer for the winter.
Lastly something which was obviously out of your control - but on the Saturday there was a Black Order march in Killyleagh, and with road closures
I couldn’t get a taxi or a bus, as I had planned to visit Downpatrick that day. Later on after some of the marchers had clearly been drinking heavily there were a few fights and incidents in the high street. So I didn’t really feel safe going out. As an English Catholic I found this quite threatening, to be honest.

- Sheelagh (9/5): Superb - We had a very comfortable stay at Hamilton House. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. Great location within walking distance of two very nice pub/restaurants.
- Wesley (9/5): Beautiful apartment in great location - Lovely apartment. Very tastefully decorated. Very comfortable. Relaxing vibe. Had a lot of good points. Very few negatives. I had trouble getting the key turned in the lock and also getting it out of the lock. The sash windows are beautiful but let in a lot of street noise and also it was quite cool at night because of them I think. I had a bit of trouble getting the dolce gusto to work but that's a very minor one.

- Elaine (5/5): Despite the disturbances we had a lovely stay in a lovely area. - The apartment was very comfortable, nicely decorated and clean with good facilities. We had a concert in Belfast and it was a fairly quick and easy journey into the city. The village is lovely but unfortunately the apartment is close to a bar and we were unlucky to be kept up late into the night twice by drunken behaviour and foul language with the police called on the second night. Apart from that we loved the apartment and the area.
- Aidan (9/5): Superb -
