Guest Reviews
- JODY (10/5): A place to pamper yourself in Akaroa! - This is such a lovely property. The rooms are tastefully decorated (I was in the Shepherd room) and well stocked, breakfast options are plentiful plus cocktail hour was absolutely delicious. It provided a great opportunity to converse with the other guests outside of breakfast.
Sharon and Noel are the ultimate hosts — she also helped devise an earlier return shuttle for me, I was so grateful! Absolutely nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Hosts were very welcoming and went above and beyond to provide everything you could want, would strongly recommend. - Very individual Nothing
- Heidi (10/5): -
- Schaeffer (10/5): Grande classe - Son jardin et son petit dej en classe mondiale Trop court;)!
- Jane (10/5): A perfect place for sightseeing and relaxation. - The breakfast was excellent. Noel’s omelette absolutely delicious. The pre dinner drinks and canapés was a lovely way to socialise with the other guests, The location was perfect, within easy reach of all the delightful shops and restaurant's. Would highly recommend staying at Beaufort House It was all wonderful. Noel and Sharon were the perfect hosts, couldn’t have done more.
- nial (10/5): Outstanding in every way. - Beautiful house and garden short walk away from town. Fantastic hosts made this by far our best stay in NZ. Wonderful breakfast and drinks and canapés in the garden . Cannot recommend this place enough. Nothing
- Guy (10/5): -
- Xiran (10/5): -
- Patrik (10/5): Truly genuine hosts and a wonderfully memorable stay. - If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I absolutely would. Truly genuine people and a wonderful host couple. The breakfast was exceptional, and the welcome we received was something really special. You can feel the care and authenticity in every detail — a memorable stay that I warmly recommend.
- Sophie (10/5): -
- Penelope (10/5): Exceptional Kiwi hospitality - Our hosts, Noel and Sharon, assisted by Bev, were so welcoming, and the initial tour and introduction was interesting and helpful. We loved meeting the other guests over drinks and canapés. The breakfast was truly outstanding and the dining room and table setting was inspirational. I hope we'll be back! Nothing
- ruth (10/5): Brilliant, would stay again - Wonderful hosts, an entertaining stay. Well looked after, we felt like royalty. The house is beautiful and full of antiques, we felt transported to a Miss Marple set in a good way. Amazing breakfast.
- Marshman (10/5): A truly beautiful hotel with lovely kind hosts - Beautiful hotel with lovely hosts
- Matthew (10/5): -
- DARAN (10/5): -
- Zena (10/5): Brilliant stay, had such a lovely time -
- Zena (10/5): A beautiful stay in a clean house with great hosts. - Sharon is a perfect host, she and Noel are warm, friendly, efficient and approachable hosts. The bedrooms and house are very clean. A lovely homemade breakfast and tasty evening canapés. The house is set in well kept beautiful gardens, it is a 10 minute walk to the centre.
Nice to meet their friend Bev.

- Rachel (10/5): An excellent stay with a warm welcome - Charming, comfortable and welcoming Nothing
- Marianne (10/5): Extraordinarily welcoming - A beautiful property in a great location, but the setting is secondary: what marks this out is the quality of the hosting. Sharon and Noel could not have been more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Multiple little touches and absolutely delicious food made it a memorable stay. Nothing

- Meryl (9/5): Superb - This is a charming Nineteenth Century wooden house in a pretty garden, five minutes walk to the Main Street. The hosts were solicitous and welcoming and provided drinks on the terrace and a sumptuous breakfast on beautiful china. Cute little balcony overlooking the garden. Not a lot of room for luggage, but equipped with everything else you could want.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Beaufort House is a little piece of heaven in a stunning and quaint historical little coastal town. Sharon and Noel were the perfect hosts. The property itself is quite simply fabulous, with wonderful attention to detail at every corner. The bedrooms are beautiful and each one different. A delicious breakfast, to include an array of fresh local produce is served. An especially lovely feature, apart from breakfasting together as a group, is a drinks and canapés soirée hosted by Sharon and Noel for their guests each evening from 6 - 7/7:30pm Good lively conversation over a glass or two of wine in very pleasant company and another perfect evening begins. I wish that I could have stayed longer!

Our hosts were both charming, hospitable and generous Beautiful historic homestead set in gorgeous gardens where you were welcomed as if for a weekend house-party. Drinks on the terrace at 6pm to meet fellow guests and our hosts, dinner at our leisure at any of a number of lovely local eateries followed by a truly sumptuous breakfast in the dining room with fine linens and china. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming.
The evening drinks and canapés proved to be wonderful, relaxed and informal. Nice to meet other travellers.
Bedroom was well equipped, very nice toiletries.
The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Nothing …everything was superb.
- Mark (10/5): A gem in a lovely setting - Charming spacious home and the owners love meeting people. Sharon was a great source of my local recommendationas and: lively conversations. Breakfeasts could be customized by Sharon, but even just rhe usual croissants or toast with a fruit compote made for a suitable light breakfast for us.. Nothiing major. It is a couple of blocks uphill from the main roads, but you'll certainly have a car there and parking is not that difficult to find. Our room was smaller than a hotel room, but big enough, and the bathroom was fine.

They were always anticipating our needs and going the extra mile to make it a memorable and wonderful experience. The breakfast spread feels like you woke up and landed in a fairy tale! Make sure you try one of Noel's famous omelettes. The afternoon happy hours are filled with delicious bites and fascinating conversation. The overall ambience is magical and the experience is so much more than just a bed to sleep in. This was by farrrr our favorite accommodations in all of New Zealand!
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
