Guest Reviews
- Meredith (7/5): Cosy couples with great vibe - Eclectic decorations and cosy feel The bed for the third adult was just sleeping on a lounge, not a fold out.
- David (10/5): Lovely little bothy - Excellent communication, excellent service.
- William (10/5): - Really cosy place and the host was available and helpful. Would definitely book again when in the area over other places I've stayed Nothing
- Alexander (10/5): A luxurious apartment - The apartment is huge and very comfortable. The apartment we actually booked had no internet access after the storm Floris and the owner was very kind to offer us this luxury apartment instead.
It is 25 minutes drive to Stirling Castle and also 25 minutes to the Kelpies from there.
It was our last night in Scotland before heading to the Edinburgh airport (45 minutes drive) so it was perfect for us.
- Justine (10/5): - Not too far from some of the attractions we wanted to visit
Centrally located
Host was amazing, even though he wasn’t there, kept us informed of all we needed to know re check in etc
- Peter (7/5): -
- Lyn (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovely, decor, nice and clean
- David (8/5): An exceptional quirky and well designed cottage - A small, but beautifully designed home. Perfect for a single or couple. Top notch fixtures and fittings . We found the bedroom to be too warm, and we couldn’t open a window . A bit too small for 2 adults, a child and a dog.
- Marina (10/5): A fantastic apartment beautifully decorated. Very close to Stirling and beautiful views of the Ochil Hills. Very accommo - Decorated to a high standard, very fitting for a property so close to the beautiful Ochil Hills. Cindy beds with all amenities needed.
- Muhammad (10/5): Highly recommended! - Quiet and peaceful location. Excellent kitchen facilities. Toiletries. Comfy bed and sofa bed. Free parking in front of the house. Excellent host. Nothing.
- Hutchison (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and welcoming everything needed was available. would defo recommend and
would go back if we visit again

- Sarah (10/5): I've found a happy place - a 'home from home' with memories in the making! - The Host's welcome was second to none, fantastic communication, very friendly, provided extremely useful tips and local information and was quite simply so considerate throughout my entire stay.
This is a stunning, quirky accommodation that's full of character, situated in an excellent location with fabulous mountain views and easy parking.
The property was well equipped and the cleanliness was to a very high standard, there were even added extras waiting to greet you and make your stay even more relaxing, including things like a 'welcome note' on the keyring, welcome snacks, and a variety of drinks made available, it was clear that everything was all superbly thought out and quite simply it was such a lovely added extra touch to have made to a guest, ready to start a holiday off on the very best of footing.
I have not been to stay anywhere since the pandemic and I have also not ever been to Scotland before either so, I felt quite anxious and really didn't know how I would feel or what to expect, but this stay, has absolutely exceeded my expectations in every positive way possible.
I have left here today after having had a great time, feeling rested and so thrilled that I have already started making plans to return again, as soon as I possibly can.
This place, the Host, and the whole set up is an absolute gem, I personally don't think I could have found a more delightful place to stay to have an amazing holiday, if I tried. On this occasion, I simply have nothing to say, which please do note is quite rare for me - so the fact I don't hopefully highly clarifies the level of positivity and excellence this stay has been.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Marta (10/5): Comfortable, beautiful and cozy place with everything we have needed. -
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable stay
- Ian (8/5): Very good -

- Ada (9/5): One night stop over - Had a great stop over at The Clacks. Slept well in such a comfy bed. The place is really cosy and has everything you need for a short stay. Milk in the fridge, and biscuits to welcome us was a nice touch, as well as an invite to a glass of gin and tonic! The owner was really welcoming and helpful. Free parking over the road and a little shop where the people are really friendly. Would stay again if in the area.
- Nigel (10/5): Great. Thoroughly recommended. - Brilliant cosy little cottage. Exceptionally well equipped. A proper home from home.
- Obeirne (7/5): Good -
- Pamela (9/5): fan dabby dosey - lovely apartment very quirky, all the little details ,lovely and clean , host very helpful. it’s not that I didn’t like it but I have sensory issues regarding strong smells there was a lot of strong reed diffusers, plug in fresheners,
I completely understand you want to keep things smelling fresh but it was a little overpowering for myself. each to their own tastes I suppose it wouldn’t put me off re visiting
- O’leary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenny (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): What a lovely ground floor flat/apartment. Situated just on the outskirts of a small town. Great - Really easy collection of keys Nothing
- Stewart (9/5): Superb -
- Nilsson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (8/5): Check and double check. - Much as I would love to tell you how good the Clacks was I cannot. It looks good in the pictures and looks good from outside. Unfortunately due to some mix up I could not gain access, this after a 200 mile drive.
I phoned the owner, luckily his number was in the details, and he told me The Clacks will remain shut for months and that hotels.com had not notified him of any booking. Left with a 'where will I sleep?' dilemma the owner more than went out of his way to find us another property to spend the night in. So, I can't really rate The Clacks but I can rate the owner who helped prevent us spend a night in the car. For this alone he deserves the chance of some business if you are in the area. My advice to you would be to double check that your booking exists and that the property is open, because it looks good and is in a quiet little town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great facilities - Great facilities, offers so much more than a B&B. Would certainly recommend if you are travelling to this area of Scotland.
