- Silvana (10/5): Good place to stay in Nardo! - This is a very nice private residence converted into guest house. We had the terrace room, which is on two floors up. Lots of light, nice view over the surrounding rooftops, and the softest most comfy bed of all 10 places we stayed at during our trip. There is a cafe on the corner where we had breakfast every day (they make their own pastries!). 5-7 min walk to the Centro Storico. Free parking was available on the street. Jacopo was flexible about us checking in 2 hrs earlier.

La posizione è ottima, centrale e comoda per muoversi, con possibilità di parcheggio nelle vicinanze. La camera (suite Ninuzza) è spaziosa e adatta anche a più persone. Staff gentile e disponibile. Essendo un palazzo storico, mancano alcuni comfort come l’ascensore e l’insonorizzazione non è ottimale, rendendo il riposo serale più difficoltoso in presenza di rumori esterni. Nella stanza era presente polvere in alcuni punti meno visibili (lampade, quadri, armadi), segno che servirebbe una pulizia più approfondita e periodica.

- Giuseppe (8/5): très belle expérience dans un bâtisse raffinée et une architecture qui respire la noblesse - Emplacement intéressant pour Nardò car non loin du centre et en plus en dehors de la zone ZTL (accès limité avec autorisation uniquement) pas de place de parking attribuée, par contre on peut se garer assez facilement dans l'environnement proche Je pense que cet établissement à un potentiel d'évolution. Certains petits détails devrait être améliorés comme par exemple dans la salle de bains certains accessoires étaient mal vissés ou branlants. un peu plus d'attention serait la bienvenue.

- Gazzarri (8/5): Nardò in inverno... - Bel palazzo storico, camera spaziosa arredata con mobili d'epoca, dotata di accessorio per poggiare e aprire la valigia ( ultimissimo e in pochissimi lo hanno). Bagno grande, dotato di utilissimo scalda salviette che funge anche da termosifone, pulito. Con prodotti per la doccia naturali. Gentilezza e disponibilità del sign. Iacopo che ci ha ricevuto e dato utili info per il nostro soggiorno. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Vicino al centro storico raggiungibile a piedi, puoi parcheggiare l'auto davanti o nelle vie limitrofe in maniera gratuita. Essendo un palazzo storico gli infissi hanno vetri fini che lasciano passare il rumore della strada la mattina presto, migliorerei questo aspetto.
- Sandra (8/5): Perfect stop over spotless clean with excellent breakfast - We had a late flight and arrived to check in after 10pm instructions for arrival were very good we had no problems, Spacious room 2 double beds, clean with plenty of towels, modern refurbished bathroom, we just stayed over I night before moving on to a different hotel for a family wedding, excellent value for money breakfast was very good plenty of choice for 12.50 euros no complaints, easy check out the next morning, would recommend and would definitely return to this property. Il y a un balcon a côté de la chambre mais nous n'avons pas pu utiliser car il pleuvait. Un roof top sympa mais pas possible de l'utiliser non plus. Nous y sommes restés une nuit. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux et complet. L'emplacement est idéal car calme et proche du centre historique. Rien. Un détail, la chambre 7 qui est au 2eme étage est accessible avec beaucoup de marches hautes. C'est bon pour l'exercice physique.😁

It is close to other towns (Lecce, Gallipoli) worth visiting and beaches. Palazzo Vagio is a family-owned villa right in the centre, a short walk to restaurants and sites. Free parking is available. The rooms are very large, with high ceilings, and clean. Jacopo (the owner) is very helpful. For example, he mailed us items we had accidentally left behind. The lady serving breakfast and other staff are very polite and friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which included local pastries and freshly made scrambled eggs.

- Aliena (8/5): Beautiful palazzo in a great location with amazing roof terrace - The room was beautiful and as shown on the photos. The roof terrace was also amazing! Jacopo was very kind and friendly as well and we loved coming home to the palazzo after our days out and about. The breakfast was underwhelming, although the woman working in the mornings was so lovely and always had a smile. It was always very hot in the public area outside the room and there was always a strong smell of bleach, which tells me it was clean, but the smell was almost too strong.

- Sara (9/5): 4 giorni a Nardó - Struttura storica molto affascinante e curata, la nostra camera all’ultimo piano era molto bella, pulita e spaziosa con terrazzino privato. All’ultimo piano si ha anche accesso a un bellissimo terrazzo comune che affaccia anch’esso sui tetti di Nardó. Il Relais si trova alle porte del carinissimo centro storico di Nardó a cui si arriva tranquillamente a piedi e dove si trovano tutti i servizi principali e deliziosi ristorantini. Si trova tranquillamente parcheggio libero nelle vie limitrofe. Nardó è un punto strategico da cui partire per visitare le piu belle spiagge della zona (10/20 minuti di macchina). Unica pecca colazione un po’ scarsa per il tipo di struttura

Jacapo renovated his family palazzo into intimate spaces for guests to experience the humble grandeur of his Pugliese family. Each room is immaculately clean and elegantly styled in quiet pastels with matching soft textural tones. Airco was such a welcome treat. The centro storico is around the corner with molte strade of delicious restaurants ranging from simple pizzerias to macellerias of fine meats to a plethora of pesce places. You'll find the list of recommendations by the front desk - heed his advice! Breakfasts are simple yet high quality - cornetto (croissants), yoghurts, fresh fruits, pancakes, granola, juices, coffee, meats and cheeses. Make sure to passagiatta in the evening to discover the charm of this historic town. Nardó transforms itself into an elegant ballroom of architectural grande dames dancing in the spotlight. The locals are chatting away, the kids run in the street, the elder folk sit in circles, seemingly reminiscing.
- Majella (10/5): Exceptional - Best bed that I've slept in, possibly ever. Lovely shower and toiletries smelled nice. The place was really clean. Lots to choose from for breakfast. Girls serving us for breakfast were very attentive and had good English. The smell of Jasmine at the door and in the entrance was beautiful. Nardo is a lovely town, we strolled there in the morning and evening. Locals out doing their thing. We went to the beach at Santa Maria al Bagno, no more than 15 minutes away by car. Just beautiful, a must visit if you'd like a swim and to relax on the beach. Restaurants beside you. Gallipoli is also worth a visit, again approx. 20 minutes away. All in all, we had a lovely time in Relais Palazzo Vaglio, Nardo and surrounds. If you have anyone in your group who has mobility issues, the stairs may pose a problem. Best to find somewhere on one level, if you can. Give them a ring to discuss, if in doubt.

- Gediminas (10/5): A very speacial place to stay; memories for a lifetime - Spent 3 nights in Relais Palazzo Vaglio and it was trully the best time. An absolutely amazing place to stay - I will come back for sure. Ceilings in a very spacious suite was probably 4 meters high, fresques on the walls and mosaics on the floors: keep in mind, this building is from 19th century. Palazzo Vaglio is beauty that is not extravagant or ‘loud’, but historic, real and very unique. The guy who will warmly greet you upon arrival - Jacopo - is also the owner of the place. Jacopo’s attention to detail, generousity and honest care is outstanding; you can not compare this dedication with the work of ‘payed managers’ at the usual mainstreem hotel chains.. The location of Relais Palazzo Vaglio is fantastic: 3 minutes walk to the main square of Nardo. And the city itself is an absolute pearl; the beauty of baroque at its finest simply blew my mind. I also felt that Nardo is still something out of the mainstream touristic radar and it makes the whole experience even more special. The beautiful sand beaches with clear waters are around 10 minutes by car (Jacopo will recommend you best places after listening to your expectations, checking wind directions of that day etc.) and the Restaurant of Roberto (Jacopo will tell you the exact name and the address) was my best choice for tasty and super authentic dinner in Nardo (the food is more important there than the design of the place or else...) Many other beautiful towns and cities are just 30 minutes drive by car from Nardo. I managed it all with having rented car which I easily and for free parked just by the front door of the Palazzo. Also great roof terrace; everything you need in the rooms; good air conditioning; nice breakfast.

- Barbara (9/5): great place to stay in southern Puglia - we stayed in an elegant looking palazzo. Location to the Centro historic was easy as was access to the road system to explore the many other wonderful towns nearby Breakfasts were lovely
- Birgitta (10/5): we couldn’t have loved it more ! - we loved the renovation and attention to detail of the hotel, the light and atmosphere were perfect! the owner of the hotel is friendly and very caring of his property, it is an absolute pleasure to stay here! the town of Nardo is beautiful , the people are friendly and the restaurants we were recommended y the owner of the hotel were fantastic !

- Anna (9/5): An absolute pleasure. - The building was beautiful, there was on street parking directly outside and it was perfectly positioned at the edge of the Centro Storico. The host Jacopo was extremely welcoming and helpful and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Relais Palazzo Vaglio. When we visit Nardò again, we will be staying here.
