Guest Reviews

- Hagit (6/5): Nice staff, beautiful view, but significant drawbacks. - The staff was very nice and helpful. Beautiful view and convenient location very close to Nono. There is a nice walking path .nearby, for children and olders. The garden is beautiful and clean although a bit neglected and seems understaffed they gave as carrots to feed the horses. it was deserted in the middle of the week. Horseback riding was not available. Cold in the room and cold in the dining room, they did not turn on the heating. The room for a couple was small and freezing, with dim lighting, and a feeling of lack of cleanliness. From a room in the reception and restaurant area you could hear everything that was happening outside. The breakfast was reasonable to no more. The restaurant and horse option when available are expensive. No chair nor table in room. the photos you see are from the suite. There was no bottle of water and toilet paper in the room until we asked for it. The whole place costs more than it gives.

- Paul (10/5): A beautiful location, delicious food and wonderful staff. - The property was beautiful - There were many trails to wander along through fields and forests. Everything closed quiete early, the light in the room was quite dim so it was difficult to do anything in the evening.
- Fangqi (8/5): Comfortable and homely - I liked the concept of this place - It’s a rustic, farmhouse-like accommodation with the fireplace in our rooms and the horses outside. The hosts were very accommodating, giving us a free upgrade for our rooms and allowing a late breakfast. The food there was great. Would be good to have more matchsticks/some firestarters to light up the fireplace!
- Paola (8/5): Peaceful rainy afternoon - To be around nature and enjoy a nice view The room was not so clean but still it was cozy and nice.
- David (7/5): Good - Farm setting is remote. I like the old architecture and the restaurant decore. Food was good but very expensive and the only option available unless you drive 10 min back to town. Hosts don't speak any English.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Fantastic stay! - Estancia de la Campina was a very pleasant surprise for us. The location is stunningly beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the meal at the restaurant was quite good. If you are a birder and seeking to visit Zuro Loma or Yanacocha, then a stay at Estancia is a good decision since these special bird reserves are just a 30-minute drive. As another recent customer noted from his experienced, one staff member started a fire in our room’s fireplace just before we departed the restaurant, which was a nice service to have in chilly Nono. I wish we could have stayed longer than just one night.
- Dana (7/5): Easy Escape from Quito on a Beautiful Property - Great location on a large property. The trail around the property was nice to explore and view the surrounding land in a peaceful environment. The staff were kind and friendly and the lodge was cozy. The fireplace in the room and heavy blankets on the bed were very necessary, as it was extremely cold at night. The fireplace did produce a lot of smoke in the room however. The location was an ideal escape for a night away from Quito, and easy to access restaurants in nearby Nono. The room was fairly cold at night and it was hard to stay warm unless under the bed covers. Otherwise, the room and property were very comfortable.

- Ruth (7/5): Perfect location for exploring Yanacocho. - Perfect location for us. Great hiking around the grounds. Staff was helpful, but no one was around during the night. Restaurant closed 6:30 PM. Breakfast was so-so. It was cold and we needed more blankets but we had a fire so got through the night. No staff around at night.
- MIGUEL (8/5): - Muy buena opción para cambiar a de ambiente y relajarse.

- Victoria (9/5): Practical to stay there ahead of our flight back to the UK the next day. - The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We are birdwatchers, so they warned us that a particular road would be closed the next morning. They offered a breakfast outside of the usual hours, to make it possible for us to do our planned bird watching tour. How lovely!
Dinner was delicious - we are meat lovers! Breakfast was nice.
While we were having dinner they asked for the keys of the room, so the could lit the fire in the fireplace. We absolutely loved that.
Room and facilities are rather basic, but given the price we did not expect else.
Beautiful nature surrounding the place. All fine!
