• Sarah (8/5): Hotel with a view. - Amazing view & wonderful sunrises. The hotel is nice but needs attention. Looking a bit shabby & still suffering from the effects of a hurricane a few years ago. We thought we had booked a cabana as these were the pictures advertised on booking.com but got a room instead. All the cabanas except one, are out of use & look rundown. Booking.com needs to update the information of what rooms are being used. We enjoyed the pool & breakfasts & you can’t beat the location. See above.

• Verena Elisabeth (7/5): Gut für wenige Nächte, tolle Lage mit schönem Pool! - Der Pool mit dem Ausblick auf das Meer ist grandios, das Frühstück ist lecker (man wählt a la carte), freundliches Personal, großes Zimmer mit großem Balkon. Die Lage ist grandios, in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß im „Zentrum“ bei den Restaurants oder zu Fuß den Hotelweg zum Strand runter. Man sollte allerdings körperlich nicht eingeschränkt sein. Es gibt kostenloses Trinkwasser. Das Zimmer ist spärlich ausgestattet, nur ein Bett, kleiner Tisch und 2 Stühle. Das Zimmer wäre den Preis nicht wert, die Lage & der Pool machen es aber wett. Die unteren Bungalows wirken alle verwahrlost und ausgestorben, Hotel teils Baustelle. Es hätte auf jeden Fall sehr viel Potenzial! Für 2 Nächte war es für uns perfekt, aber wir würden hier nicht länger verbringen wollen.

• Emily (8/5): Nearly paradise - The view of the beach from the hotel was just fantastic, probably the best in Mazunte. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were adequate and comfortable. The hotel surroundings need an upgrade. For example the cushions on the terrace were threadbare. The steps down to the beach were full of discarded and broken light bulbs and hotel litter. The food prices were pricey, almost London prices.

Les chambres doubles standard qui nous ont été attribuées suite à la réservation via Booking ne correspondaient à aucune des 23 images présentées dans Booking. A notre arrivée.on nous a attribué deux petites chambres avec 2 petites fenêtres donnant sur un talus et la porte sur un parking de motos. Nous avons dû payer un supplément de $ 45 la nuit et par chambre pour avoir des chambres avec vue sur l'océan. Je considère cela injuste à la limite de la tromperie.

Geweldig uitzicht, mooi zwembad, met een trap ben je zo op het strand. Je zit op een rustige plek maar bent toch snel in het dorpje. De kamers zijn erg basic maar prima. Het zou wat schoner kunnen. Zo waren de handdoeken wat verwassen en gevlekt en moesten we zelf om kussenslopen vragen.

Un poco difícil el acceso caminando. Falta iluminación en las escaleras que bajan a la playa. Falta mantenimiento a algunas instalaciones. Mi ventanal no tenía seguro para cerrar. El día que llegamos, no hubo cocina y no había agua , llegó por la tarde el agua.

Short walk down to the beach via the steps. Bit of a mission if you are heavy or unfit but very doable. A taxi can always take you back up the hill. Room1 is fantastic. La chambre était immense avec un énorme lit, in beau balcon donnant une vue plongeante sur l'oc. Très bon petit déjeuner et personnel très sympathique. Accès rapide à la plage et le centre en 5 minutes via des escaliers. Proche du cimetière, de petits restos et d'une supérette et à 15 minutes à pied d'un point de vue superbe sur le coucher de soleil. A conseiller +++ Rien Ne convient pas aux personnes à mobilité réduite et aux personnes intolérantes à l'effort (sur les hauteurs de la ville).

• CarmenFR (8/5): Vue magnifique avec piscine - L'emplacement est idéal si on recherche de la tranquillité, de la nature et une vue exceptionnelle. L'hôtel est situé dans les hauteurs de Mazunte avec un accès direct à la plage via des marches ou une rue pentue qui mène au centre. Il est à l'entrée de la balade (très prisée) qui mène à la punta Cometa qui est à ne pas manquer pour notamment observer le coucher du soleil. Les chambres sont simples mais propres et spacieuses, avec climatisation. Plusieurs espaces communs autour de la piscine qui sont agréables pour profiter de la vue. La carte du restaurant est simple et réduite après 15h. Mais il est possible de trouver plusieurs restaurants ou boulangerie dans la rue principale à 5/10min à pied.

• Michèle (7/5): Vale la pena, pero podría estar mejor. - La ubicación y vista son los puntos más fuertes de este lugar. Tiene una base sólida y firme en el monte con una vista privilegiada. Hermosa y muy relajante. La falta de mantenimiento. Tengo entendido que hubo un huracán que afectó y siguen ciertos daños de ello. El lugar está en construcción y le falta mucho mantenimiento. En nuestro cuarto, por ejemplo, la mosquiteros estaba completamente rotos. Ciertas palmeras de otros cuartos también. La alberca ya está perdiendo sus piedras y podría estar más limpia. El aspecto en general del lugar es que está más o menos no cuidado. Recomendaría tomar estos tiempos de temporada baja para mantener el espacio y darle el cuidado que merece. El hotel vale la pena pero podría estar mucho mejor con pequeños detalles y cuidados.
• Rafael (10/5): VISTAS INCREIBLES - La habitación era más grande de lo que esperaba (habitación doble con terraza) y las vistas eran espectaculares. La terraza del hotel es bonita, con buenas vistas también, y me agradó que la alberca se puede usar hasta las 10 p.m.// Ofrecen un desayuno por $180 pesos por persona que me pareció que vale mucho la pena ya que incluye un platillo principal (chilaquiles, enchiladas, hot cakes, tacos, huevos, etc) café o té, jugo o fruta. Se encuentra ubicado justo al inicio del camino a punta cometa, lo cual fue el punto principal por el que me animé a reservar. El hotel tiene unas escaleras que te llevan directamente hasta la playa Rinconcito, que está muy bonita. Me llevé muy buenas fotos y videos de toda la zona. Sin duda volvería a hospedarme. Reservé 3 habitaciones, y puedo decir que la habitación #1 (doble con terraza) es la que mejores vistas tiene. La habitación #2 (doble con terraza) igual, pero no mejores que la #1. En lo personal, me gustó todo y no tengo ninguna queja. Solamente es importante mencionar que no es apto para personas con movilidad reducida o de la tercera edad, ya que el hotel se encuentra en una parte alta, y los caminos para subir o bajar son algo pesados. Inclusive, la escalera que lleva a la playa es muy larga y puede costarles un poco de trabajo. De igual forma, hay que considerar que hay que cargar el equipaje 1 piso, en caso de que tengan las habitaciones que se ubican arriba de la recepción. En la habitación que reservé a un costado de recepción, me reportaron problemas con la presión del agua, pero me lo indicaron hasta cuando ya ibamos de salida. Los caminos alrededor del hotel están muy oscuros, por lo cual si en la noche quieren bajar a la tiendita o a los restaurantes que se encuentran en la playa, tienen que encender la luz del celular para ayudarse. Me hubiera gustado que en el hotel tuvieran opciones para cenar o una tiendita con productos básicos como agua, refrescos, etc. De cualquier forma me parece una excelente opción de hospedaje.

Lots of steps both up and down to get to rooms and steps also inside the room which can be tricky to navigate for night bathroom trips.

Lamentablemente los bungalows ya no estan aptos era lo mejor que tenian, los jardines se ven descuidados y la entrada de la escalera que baja a la playa estaba llena de botellas vacias y habia basura.

• Katharina (5/5): okay, but I wouldn‘t book this again - The view is great and the room was quite spacious; AC worked well; breakfast was okay, you were able to pick coffee/tea, fresh fruit or juice, and one item from the breakfast menu Staff speaks no english at all; I had also tried to get in touch before my stay and the hotel didn‘t react to any emails / messages I sent; my shower was desperate for a clean and there was barely any water coming out, when I brought it up with one of the girls, she didn‘t say a word and made me wait with her whilst she was trying to clean the shower head, which was really awkward; cleaning staff never exchanged the towels in 5 days, and one time I returned from breakfast whilst they were in my room and they were just lounging on their phone, and then proceeded to leave without doing any cleaning; no shampoo / shower gel provided, just an undefined liquid in open mini-bottles; the room has kind of a weird layout with a massive space but nothing in it, it feels very empty, no decoration, not even a wardrobe or bedside table; weirdly the hammock was inside (it looks like it‘s outside on the pictures provided) which made it a bit redundant, since I didn‘t want to risk mosquitoes coming in whilst lying with the balcony doors open

A certain level of athleticism is required as to go anywhere, including the beach, which is not far but relatively steep. It is HOT and humid.The pool and deck are lovely and there are seldom more than few guests about. The air-con is a huge relief, we had ours set at 26' and it still felt like a fridge when coming in from outside. The WIFI is dodgy.The staff pleasant but more tolerant than welcoming.

• Elena (10/5): Little paradise in the sun! - Wonderful views of the whole Mazunte bay, quiet and calm, an amazing infinity pool, direct beach access via a long stairway and not far from the sunset point, hammock in the room, nice staff and yummy food and free water fountain to refill bottles. All perfect! Nothing really. It’s waaay nice than the older pictures. It‘s a bit of the walk through the town uphill in the sun, for us it was better to go via the beach. It would be even more perfect if the rooms had fridges for cold drinks and to safely store food and more space to put clothes/stuff, a proper wardrobe, some nice decorations (lamps, bedside tables, deco, pillows for the chairs outside etc).

We especially liked our little outdoor balcony nook, our sunrise mornings views and how close we were to Rinconcito beach and Punta Cometa. The food was also delicious. It would have been so awesome if we had a little kitchen. Also, we thought we reserved breakfast included in our reservation and that would have made things easier for our stay.
