• Sandra (6/5): - Gute Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel und Ercolano ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.Gute Kommunikation .Frühstück praktikabel . Kleines Zimmer wenig Stauraum .Es wurde 1x b geputzt in 5 Nachten Parkmöglichkeiten schwierig.Sehr laut an der Straße.

• Hester (5/5): Matig verblijf - Schone kamer en locatie was prima. Aanwijzingen host via app helder. Slecht ontbijt (niet vers, weinig keus, als beleg alleen jam, geen waterkoker, niets werd aangevuld). Ook de douche was moeilijk te tunen (te heet of te koud) en had een kleine waterstraal. Contact host alleen via de app. Foto’s mooier dan plek in werkelijkheid is.

• MLaure (8/5): Une bonne adresse pour la localisation près des sites touristiques - Très bon emplacement (15 min à pied d'Herculanum, 15 min en voiture de Pompéi et 15 min à pied de la gare pour Naples) Chambre spacieuse, propre et calme une fois la fenêtre fermée. Le petit-déjeuner industriel sans produits frais. Seulement 2 tables pour 3 chambres dans la petite cuisine.

• Wiktoria (5/5): Very clean but overall disappointing - The property was very clean and freshly decorated . The name of the property is misleading- it’s a converted to rooms flat not a “house”. Balconies are very narrow near busy street, not possible to relax on them. We were unlucky with the shower. The first night it didn’t work , had to shower in freezing water with no pressure. There was no breakfast. The property should be advertised as bed and snack rather than breakfast. What was provided was cheap prepackaged little cakes and prepackaged dried hard toast with some jam pots - . The coffee machine was very odd with no instructions on it, with overflowing dirty water on the tray. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and extremely hard , we could not sleep . There is nowhere to go in the evenings to have a nice dinner . The area is a bit off . The walk from the station with cabin bag was a nightmare and quite far , up the hill . Overall although property was nicely done it lacked basics like comfortable bed , working shower with hot water ( although it was fixed later on) and breakfast
• Evgeny (6/5): - If you need a clean place to stay for a couple of nights relatively close to Naples, the Insula House could be a good choice. I think this is my problem and I cannot say that I was mislead by the description, but based on the photos we have decided that the B&B is located on some villa, there is a balcony with a garden view etc. In reality, this is an apartment building, there was no balcony in the room (there was a nice photo of a table on a balcony etc). There were multiple smaller issues that were fine for me but annoyed my wife a lot: problems with electricity and hot water, strong smell of some chemicals in the room (probably used for cleaning), disappointing breakfast (pre-packaged items) and others.

• William (9/5): Will stay again if available! - Clean, excellent location, parking available if needed, and Roberta (the host) was excellent! Notes: Water pressure is excellent. Toilet and Bidet. Balcony large enough for two to sit and look out over the park, but private enough that no one is looking in your window/balcony door. Breakfast is serve yourself drinks (coffee/tea/milk/juice) w/prepackaged snacks (Not fancy, but plenty good enough). Will stay again if available! Many B&B are challenging to find. Insula House had it's challenges, but was easier than many and Roberta was Amazingly helpful! A lift would have been nice, but you can't have everything. Definitely on the "Stay here again" list.

• Juan Carlos (5/5): Not for me - The site in Ercolano is a great visit. The apartment is just basic, but well cleaned. If price is low, then it is OK. No parking. Difficult access to the property with no presence of the host/owner to welcome you. You need to get the keys from complicated place. Basic room.
• Ute (6/5): Nettes Quartier, aber das Frühstück hat nicht gepasst. - Bei der Dusche war der Wasserdruck sehr gering. Ich hatte als Geniusbonus (Level2) 3x gratis Frühstück dazubekommen. Es gab zwar Kaffee und Tee, aber sonst nur total zerbrochenen Zwieback und Fertigcroissant in Cellophan. Im Kühlschrank waren geöffnete Saftflaschen, wo wir nicht wussten, wielange sie offen waren. Außerdem stand „Frühstück wird zwischen 8:00 und 10:00 serviert“. Das war aber nicht der Fall. Ein Frühstück stellen wir uns anders vor. Das Fühstück - siehe oben

The bathroom was attractive and functional, and the location was convenient — quiet, safe, and up the hill from Herculaneum with good restaurants nearby in Portici. Check-in instructions were unclear and stressful at first. Breakfast was disappointing, with only pre-packaged items and poor fruit options, and one morning the breakfast room wasn’t opened until 10am. Unlike other reviews, we had little personal interaction with the owner, and the shower had very low water pressure. The room was also tight on space for luggage.

• Tati_oli (6/5): Nice decor, but in general could be better. - The room is well decorated, very cosy, bedsheets were clean, room is confortable and the bathroom is spacious. The floor of the room was not very clean, the breakfast was not good, so a few days we decided to have breakfast outside, we stayed in some other B&B as this was the worst breakfast we got, so if you don´t care about having breakfast, than it´s Ok to stay here. Also the air conditioner is more a fan, because it only refresh the room, also was a little bit smelly. It says that there is a parking, but the parking is in the street in front of the property (maybe it´s an Italian rule in general), because even with forbidden plate of parking, people park there and the owner said that is safe. We didn´t had any fine or issues during our stay, but we were expecting a different parking, because we had a car and a scooter. It´s also complete without contact with no one in person.

• Katherine (4/5): Not up to expectations. The lack of gluten free and kettle facilities was the deal breaker. - The room was nicely decorated and mostly clean. USB port in the wall was very useful. Air conditioning worked great. The building looked nothing like the advert picture and was partly under renovation so we were initially worried we had the wrong place. The keys were difficult to use - the other couple had issues too. I requested gluten free which Insula House claimed to be able to supply, there were no gluten free options at breakfast. The advert said external units had coffee and tea facilities but that was only in the breakfast room and not available the rest of the day. The shower wasn't very clean. Spare pillows provided but no cases for them. TV was unconnected, unusable unless you happened to come on holiday with a HDMI cable.

• ADEEL (2/5): - This property is a fraud. Please do not book it. Expedia is non responsive on complaint. These guys taking advantage of these non customer centric apps. I ga e 60 Euros to taxi to reach there, and there was no peoperty with such name and the owner stopped responding once i paid. Had to block credit card and pay extra 40 Euros to go back and book another hotel. Expedia app, not recommended at all. No response from them. Its a fraud property
• Glenn (10/5): Clean and fresh room - Very clean room with good AC and thick windows so you cannot hear the traffic outside. Fresh breakfast (sweet) was ready every morning. A ~20 min walk (mostyl uphill) from the train station in Portici, so if you have luggage, you might want to take the bus or book a taxi. The hostess recommended a restaurant which was 5 minutes walk away: La Tradizione Ristorante e Pizzeria dal 1997 - They had authentic napolitan pizza which was very tasty. Nothing to complain about, can definately recommend!

She was always ready to help, adviced us regarding interesting places to visit, organised shuttle to the airport. The location is perfect to visit Vesuv, Pompei, Herculaneum. Not far away from Neapel. Relaxing atmosphere at surrounding area. It was a big pleasure to stay at Insula! The only difficulty we had was a shower. It was necessary to get used to regulate the water temperature. Nevertheless it hasn't spoiled our impression of the hotel and our holidays.

• Øyvind M (10/5): Portici apartment - Apartment with three units (bedroom + private bathroom), in addition to a small kitchen. While the exterior does not look especially inviting (ordinary apartment building), the apartment seems newly renovated and is close to perfect considering that this is a B&B. Roberta, in charge of the rental, was very generous, helpful, and always positive. Not far to the city center of Portici and close to the Agriculture campus of University of Naples Federico II, the location was a perfect base for one week of work at the university. Breakfast is very Italian (sweet), and coffee is great.

• Marco Davide (2/5): Servizio pessimo - Condominio fatiscente del dopo guerra,facciata del palazzo neanche a parlarne..quando si entra nel beb però L ambiente diventa carino,solo il servizio davvero pessimo,non abbiamo visto nemmeno un altra volta la signora del beb,siamo rimasti tre giorni..e due giorni non hanno fatto le pulizie perché siamo usciti dalla stanza alle 11-12..la scusa è stata che non possono accontentare gli orari di tutti,come se per farci fare le pulizie dobbiamo uscire alle 8-9 dalla stanza perché poi non si può più neanche fosse il grand hotel(ha tre stanze)..pessimo pessimo servizio per un beb che fuori ha come targa 5 valutazione e non vanno per nulla i bisogni della gente come se uno va in vacanza e si sveglia alle 8 perché devono fare Le pulizie e non può dormire di più

• Edmund (2/5): Stay away from this one! - We showed up after payment and confirmation and no one was there to check us in. We ate an early dinner and came back and still no one there. We called twice and left a message. No reply. We called Hotels.com and the agent was rude and told us the check in instructions link had an earlier check in time. This contradicted the check in time in the KEY FACTS description that was visible when reading about the B&B. Attempted twice to get a refund...no and no. Horrible experience.

At first when you arrive the exterior will catch you by surprise and you’ll think you’re being tricked, but wait until you actually make it inside of the building! After all, Napoli and it surroundings are just ugly! The outside of the building is not depicted because the neighborhood is ugly, yet very safe! But the pictures of the interior are true, this place is absolutely beautiful and impecable. Better than most 4 star hotels we’ve stayed. Roberta the caretaker, is such a sweetheart and gave us a warm welcome and even prepared us coffee. She speaks very good English. Light breakfast but gives you the feel of being in your own chic apartment. Please read the print as this B&B has a set check in time and you don’t want to be rude like other people that stayed there and woke us by ringing the bell non stop because they did not arrive on time. If we ever return to Napoli we hope to stay here again!
