Luxurious, comfortable, clean, with everything you need in the room (microwave, oven, fridge, coffee, tea, etc.) and with a central location. The Cape Town Convention Centre and V&A Waterfront are close by. Staff are friendly and courteous. Free, secure parking on site. The Yu restaurant is fantastic. The Market restaurant, where breakfast is served, is great too. This is a small gripe, but the laundry service is a little expensive compared to other places I've stayed.

So conveniently located right next to the CTICC, and walking distance from shops and pharmacies. The room was well equipped with great air conditioning, an iron, oven, stove top and fridge. They also have two restaurants downstairs, I got coffee from one of them every morning and it was great! If you stay here, be sure to stop by the spa and book a treatment for yourself - I had the BEST Swedish massage with Maybe, it was absolutely incredible. I don’t think I’ll ever stay anywhere else again whenever I’m in Cape Town.

Nice bar area. Spa was good and treatments very reasonably priced. Staff were very nice and helpful. YU restaurant was excellent!! Location was okay. Not much to walk to but close in an Uber. Bar was closed one night as it was booked out which I really don’t like.

• Debra (9/5): - I loved my room, however I only had them come once to clean and as an owner of a cleaning company, they could have done a better job, floors and clean wash rags. I was told there wasn't any but my friends did get some and I had to get 1 from them 😕. Also my breakfast was not included, however 1 of my friends didn't eat there and 1 staff allowed me to have hers and the other didn't. Not that I couldn't afford to pay for it as I initially agreed, it was the interchange I found very distasteful concerning it.

• Marcus (9/5): Das Onyx kann man empfehlen! - Man kann direkt im Hotelparkhaus parken - das ist sehr sicher! Das Hotel hat meinem Wunsch mit einem Zimmer mit Blick zum Containerhafen umgesetzt. Das Zimmer war riesig und sehr komfortabel. Die Küche mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Frühstück ist in einem kleinen Restaurant im Gebäude, sehr lecker. Alles gut es gibt nicht negatives!

The facilities such as bar and small pool area are great. We found the reception staff quite unfriendly and a bit stand offish. Surprised on check out not to be asked how our stay was. Not experienced that before. The doorman and staff that helped with luggage etc were very friendly.
