- pierre-francois (6/5): - L’emplacement était parfait À notre arrivée, il n’y avait malheureusement personne à l’accueil et nous avons dû attendre une petite demi-heure avant qu’un responsable soit prévenu. Par ailleurs, la literie semble avoir bien servi et mériterait sans doute d’être renouvelée afin d’améliorer encore le confort du séjour.
- Janice (3/5): Holiday cut short as accommodation did not meet expected standards - Nothing Heating not working so was left with 2 small mobile heaters , no hot water, bed extremely hard, fridge door shelf missing and decking not cleaned. Hot tub plastic unit floating in tub and no privacy in tub. Surrounding grass not cut and slabs that were laid just before we arrived…of which the cut grass was left in a pile at the entrance. A disassembled shed in full view outside bedroom window. The water from the shower running straight outside as connection hose not in place correctly. We complained and received a full refund.

- Ninon (8/5): Charming - It was not very big but comfortable and had everything you need. All the furniture is good quality and the decor is modern and stylish. It was a really nice cosy wee lodge. The place was quiet and ideal for a good night sleep.

- Katya (8/5): Great location, needs a few touch-ups - Great location and a modern, newly built facility. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the balcony was great. The mattress was overly soft and didn’t provide enough support - it really needs replacing, as you tend to sink right into it. There is also some ongoing construction around the property, which slightly affects the overall value for money.

- Katie (9/5): Lovely lodges, would stay again - Great lodges, great location with parking. Very clean and bed was comfortable. Spacious and had everything we needed. The heating was turned on high when we arrived so every room was roasting. Was difficult to sleep the first night as it was so warm. There is also no view of the lake from most lodges due to a new house being built right in the way which is a shame.

Was also great to have a kitchen area. Our original pod had electricity issues so we were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Only small issue was the noise from the boiler. When the heating clicked off or on, the temp was changed or if a tap or shower was ran it was very noisy. I understand this would be an expensive issue to fix and would not put us off returning.

- terry (10/5): wonderful - The location was amazing. The staff was so very helpful. It was in a beautiful place and it was a modern, clean and well appointed cottage. Loved it. The only drawback was there was no laundry available, however, a wonderful member of staff helped us out.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hot tub was fun to sit in and watch the world go bye. Nothing to dislike.
- Adele (6/5): Beautiful but many inconveniences - We were upgraded to anotjer lodge which was itself beautiful, clean and homely to stay in. The private hot tub was an absolute bonus and brilliant to use. The view of the Loch was stunning too. When we got there, there were renovations going on and we weren't informed our lodge was not available due to flooding after trying to get a hold on the owner. This did take a bit of time to get an answer as we they weren't available on the property and I had to await a phone call after leaving a voicemail. We didnt realise the lodge's central heating wasn't working till later on in the night so it was absolutely freezing. At the time I had a slightly runny nose, but due to how cold the property, I think this didn't help and I ended up leaving with a chest infection. Whither this was just a coincidence or not, im not sure, but its was terribly cold that i vouldnt sleep the first nigt. I had tried to make contact with the owner via phone call and email who did notify the cleaner but she stated she would have been unable to fix this. It was only luck that someone who lives in an adjacent lodge was able to fix this, (said he helped with some maintenance around the lodges). However due to how I was feeling we were unable to stay the last night. The hot tub was stunning but there was no outdoor lights whilst using this during the night so thay was a slight inconvenience.

- chris (3/5): Appalling customer service , stay somewhere else that appreciates your business. - Location When we arrived there was no one to check us in. We tried emailing, messaging and text through booking.com but got no reply. There was a barely legible out of hours number on the reception shed (see photo). After several attempts to decipher the actual number we got through but the call was rejected each time, despite several attempts. We were about to make the long journey back home when we decided to text the number that was rejecting our call and got a very curt response on what the code was for the hut we had booked. I dread to think if I had been a tourist and had travelled abroad for this to happen and been stuck in Balmaha with no lodgings. (Balmaha Lodges were quite happy for this to be the case with us). Balmaha lodges could not have cared less that they had customers checking in and had no intention of being there or communicating to make that happen. (Happy to post the curt Text messages we eventually received, if anyone wants to see). The lodge itself was basic, done the job and smelled of Shake and Vac. The Front door was broken, could not be locked and there was a hole in wall where the handle had pushed through it. It wasn't recent looking either.

Met our needs for our break. Nicely decorated. Shower was awesome. Bed a bit uncomfortable. Very limited worktop space in kitchen if preparing food. Grounds outside in need of maintainence, grass needed cut fences/gates in poor condition.
- Erin (3/5): Love the location, however would look into staying elsewhere first before considering the lodges here again. - I liked the location of the lodges. There was no staff available to speak with during our stay. I had been trying to contact the company since January regarding my booking but never received a response. Then, just three hours before our arrival, I was sent a message informing me that our accommodation had been changed. When we arrived, the key was already in the door and the lodge was unlocked. I went to the office to ask about this, but there was no one there. We went out for a walk and returned at the official check-in time, only to find the office still locked and the key still left in the lodge door, which meant anyone could have entered. Unfortunately, the hot tub was also not clean and had visible dirt in it. In addition, there were no basic items such as tea bags or coffee in the tins, despite these being clearly labelled. The lodge was advertised as dog-friendly, however the garden was not secure or enclosed, which made it difficult for us to safely let our dog outside. Overall, I was really disappointed. I had booked months in advance and was really looking forward to staying in Balmaha. My boyfriend and I have stayed in many similar places before, but the standard here was nowhere near what we would expect from a five-star company, and it did not feel worth the money.

- Anya (9/5): Amazing - Apartment was very clean and well equipped. Our stay got upgraded to a bigger apartment (8) due to flooding in original booking which was very appreciative. Very cosy apartment with lovely view. Great location next to conic hill, resturant and shop. Hot tub was open to people walking by- only part was fenced off. Earlier check in and late checkout would make it worth while if only staying for a night. No one was at check in desk when arrived and they had left keys in lock box outside lodge (could of been a text or email to let us know)

These could be doing with fencing or bamboo or something to screen it more. I was in lodge 17 and this was very open to everyone walking past. I also feel like you are loosing a good bit of your stay not getting in till 3pm and being out at 10am.
- Lorna (7/5): Great location, very clean, tidy indoors but could do with freshening up in the hot tub. - Brilliant location with the pub for dinner and beautiful scenary. Amazing to walk along the loch shore and to go up onto Conic Hill for a gorgeous view when the clouds cleared. The hot tub we had was very private with its little wooden gazebo which was fab. The hot tub smelled like fousty when it was bubbling and I think because it was winter it could all do with a jet wash as it was very slippy on the wooden decking.

- lawrie (1/5): Avoid like the Plague - On arrival there was no one there at reception just a number to call, which went to voicemail and the person send text message to inform us that they had moved us to a different lodge as the hot tub was broken. was told to use map on door for directions. Was not notified at all that there was a problem with the lodge i had booked until arrive. Lodge was clean, tiles were falling off wall in bathroom, my partner feet hung over bottom of bed as the bed was too small. The hot tub was not private at all, only a small 5foot fence between myself and the hot tub next to us. Our lodge had an apartment above ours could here everything. Were not allowed in hot tub after 10pm. No night lights from reception to lodges. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend here nor will i be back. No one person to speak to on initial arrival. was text message only. Apparently the person was ill couldn't talk or breath. Surely there should of been someone else there to cover illnesses.

- Fiona (1/5): Room was let out with known issues like a broken lock on an external doors - It's not worth the money, and the room wasn't fit for purpose. We booked to stay for two nights, but had to leave after one: - The lock on the balcony door was broken, so the room (and valuables inside) couldn't be secured. - The exposed boiler in the room was really noisy (consistent loud hum and clicking noise) even when the heaters were turned to 0, so we couldn't sleep with it. The woman on duty already knew the lock was broken, and didn't seem surprised when I listed the boiler as one of the reasons why we left early. We had to stay the first night, because we didn't have a choice by the time we found out about the broken lock and loud boiler.

TV weird set up, no terrestrial access.

- Tracie (9/5): Not a great start - Location Check in was a disaster, email advised to collect keys from reception, reception was closed, queue to check in & people frantic trying to get into lodges, not advised your booking gives you a PIN code for a lock box on the lodge to enter, everyone booked with booking.com was given incorrect PIN numbers, called emergency number and only a voicemail service, no one called me back, stuck out in the freezing cold with a 2yr old, thankfully found a cleaner on site who told everyone the correct PIN codes to get in, put us off returning it was chaotic amd no communication advising the procedures, left to get on with it and figure it out by notes on reception door for later check ins.

Unfortunately there was an issue with our heating but the staff tried to fix and provided us with a radiator to help. The hot tub was dirty and presented faults the entire time so we were unable to use, the temp was constantly cold. We advised staff on the first night but it was not followed up and staff were not available or returned calls during the rest of our stay. This was disappointing as this was a main reason for booking this lodge. On leaving we were told a refund would be offered to compensate but despite this and two follow up emails we have yet to hear back.

- Kyle (1/5): We are extremely disappointed having spent best part of £160 on the stay get the impression that the hosts did not care - The location Door wouldn’t lock properly Room was not clean at all same with bathroom Holes in the walls of room Lots of mold on the ceiling of bathroom The shower floor was damaged and had black gauges out of it Marks on bathroom floor Shower fitting wasn’t working correctly, only pointed down Hot tub was unsanitary, had a used plaster floating in it and lots of grim and dirt at the bottom The room had a wet dog odor that was unpleasant The headboard of the bed had dirty marks up it Windowsill was covered in dirt and dust like hadn’t been wiped No staff present for check in or check out Security light on adjacent building kept being activated and prevented sleep through the night No central heating 1 working electric portable radiator next to the bed that was not able to heat a large room up We are extremely disappointed having spent best part of £160 on the stay get the impression that the hosts did not care remotely about anything other than taking the money, from the cleanlyness to the room being unfit to stay in to start with. Overall was not ideal at all if I had known the state of the room and hot tub before hand wouldn’t have considered it the pictures on booking. Com don’t remotely look similar. - craig (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay and would return and recommend - Staff member that greeted us was absolutely fantastic helped us navigate our way around and discussed the best walks around loch Lomond and showed us the lodge Only thing would be there was no remote for the tv in the bedroom and the fridge on arrival had a busted shelf which caused issues opening and closing and the heating was very random
