- FamilyVs (9/5): Great short stay and perfect for our trip to see UMD! - This hotel had clean, what seemed like new rooms. Even though we were on the first floor it was quiet and we rested well on the comfortable beds. Great water pressure in shower and plenty of hot water. It was very nice having the kitchenette. The lefthand turn off of Baltimore Avenue to enter the hotel is.... blood pressure raising!

- TAIMA (10/5): Gave me what I needed in my time of need - The people were really attentive and genuine. They helped to make my stay and my situation bearable. The good thing was that it was in a good location, and things were easy to access. There wasn't much I didn't like. I think my biggest gripe came from food delivery services and coming to the right location. My other issue was that there was only one dryer.

- Mercy (6/5): - My husband and I used to truly enjoy this property; however, since the change in management, the overall experience has noticeably declined. I want to emphasize that the staff has consistently been friendly and professional, which is the only reason I hesitated to leave this review. Unfortunately, the issues since new management took over have been hard to ignore: the televisions no longer work, there is now a $10 parking fee, and the WiFi is extremely slow. During our most recent stay (September 12–14), we encountered broken fixtures in the shower, and the final straw was finding a roach in the bathroom. This is disappointing given how much we used to love coming here. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the staff truly deserves better support.

- Marlena (4/5): Clean and bearable for a quick night stay. - Overall the room was clean. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was fair. The refrigerator didn't cool items well. There was no ice bucket in the room, the A/C in the actual bedroom didn't stay on at a consistent rate to keep the room cool, we had to wake up every 20mins to turn it off and on while the one in the livingroom of the suite maintained being on. We called and was told it was motion sensored in the room,which was just an excuse because there was constant motion in the bedroom and the a/c didn't consistently stay on. The water in the bathroom didn't get hot it stay just below lukewarm which made showering unpleasant. The site said parking, NOT PAID $10 A DAY PER VEHICLE PARKING so that was also disappointing to find out last min. Outside of these things I can say that the room and bathroom were clean but the things listed above made the experience not so great, so I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The front desk people would rather you charge your credit card than having to deal with issues. Broken glass on the floor near laundry room just gets swept to the corner. Under cooked breakfast food, cockroaches in the hallway. Definitely won’t be back.

No one did, and when I asked about it, there was a bit of a back and forth with the woman at the desk. She later acknowledged the error and took some money off our bill, which we appreciated.

- Krishna (10/5): - Conveniently located close to College Park, right on Rte-1 (Baltimore Ave) The room is well stocked with a stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, lots of pots/pans, plates and cutlery. Good breakfast options - oatmeal, omelettes, etc besides bread, bagel, cereals. The waffle maker was very popular. The front desk staff and others were very friendly and helpful. The TV in my room was not showing all colors - they changed my room immediately. The TV had multiple streaming options besides Youtube, Netflix and Prime. I liked PlutoTV where I could watch old TV shows from 80s. Unfortunately, the Internet on the TV stopped working on Thursday evening and despite repeated reminders to the front desk and assurances that the tech. staff were working on it, it was not resolved till Sunday morning when I checked out. Hence, I couldnt watch the Streaming videos after all.

This type of mattress is dated (decades old) now that so many comfortable foam mattresses are easily and inexpensively available.

But would confirm with the staff about sanitation protocols regarding pets - It was in a convenient location, was clean, and friendly staff I do understand this facility is pet friendly, but was very disappointed to see some people bring their pet down to the breakfast area. One lady had a small dog on a 12’ leash, and aloud the dog in one area and her holding the leash stretched across a foot off the ground. Both my wife and I almost tripped because of this. This woman held her dog on her lap feeding the dog, along with carrying the dog to the counter to get additional food. I have had dogs all my life, but my respect for others and my emotional needs regarding how to maintain living with a pet are far stronger.

- Margaret (8/5): - We stayed at Towneplace Suites just one night while we were packing up our daughter's apartment at the end of the semester. We liked that there was plenty of parking close to the hotel. Our room was more spacious than most hotel rooms we have stayed at (given that there was a mini-kitchen and dining table in the room). Even though the hotel is right on the main road, it was very quiet. The air conditioning system controls had been updated recently and were very easy to use. Our stay included a continental breakfast which was well-prepared and well-stocked. The one odd thing - The bathroom was recently renovated, spacious, and clean (good). Instead of a shower curtain, there was a plexiglass wall that only extended about halfway across the shower, so the floor invariably got quite wet. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay!

Kitchenette, coat hanging hooks, pull out couch, comfy king bed, breakfast included in stay and a good iron and ironing board. Being able to hear the stomping by other visitors.

The breakfast wasn’t great. Very small selection of foods. Parking is an extra $10 a day but we were shocked about was the $100 pet fee! The site says charges may apply but doesn’t state the amount. We were quite shocked with the fee and wouldn’t have booked at this hotel if we knew. Booking should really state the actual charge because it is misleading.

- April (10/5): Great hotel! - Very comfortable hotel with great amenities. Friendly staff. The hotel is newer which is a plus. Quick walk to ihop if you sleep through the free breakfast. We’ll be back again!
- Oksana (6/5): Too expensive but not good enough - The best part of the room was the shower - spacious, with the faucet opposite the water spout so that you can wait till the temperature is good and then get in. The room is bib but very basic. The coffee pot in the room was not working properly - water was stuck on top of the filter. Breakfast choices were very basic - I have not seen such small selection for a while...And it had hands down THE WORST pull-out couch I have ever slept on. I had to be extremely creative to be able to get some sleep on it. All in all - not enough value and attraction for a rather steep pricing. Will not stay there again for sure.
- firealarmp (6/5): Fire Alarms Are Too Loud - The fire alarms are too loud. The hallways use the infamous System Sensor P2RL horn strobes. The low frequency sounder bases inside guest rooms make this more tolerable, but if you cannot be around these fire alarm horns, do not stay here because the common areas are packed with these horns, and depending on where your room is, the horns may still be excessively close to your room.

- katw920 (4/5): Look at another hotel - The hotel clerk (night) checking us in was rude and very ungrateful that we checked in late. He was too busy playing on his phone. Never acknowledged that I was a Marriott Silver member. Gave us a handicap room which we never requested. There was black tape holding down the carpet in the room. The room was totally run down. The towels were not Marriott bath towels. I had to request for housekeeping during our stay. This is definitely not a Marriott standard property. The whole hotel is in need of a total upgrade. The breakfast is horrible. The standard of this hotel is the Holiday Inn or Days Inn at best. The price I paid I could have stayed in a much better property. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I stay there again. Marriott should send someone to this hotel to stay and see for themselves the lack of standard of this "hotel"

- Carlos (2/5): Staff stealing personal stuffs - I stayed for a weekend, came all the way to se my daughter, left my stuff at the hotel came back few things where missing from my luggage, gucci sandals and few fits. Called the costumer service to see if they can do something about it, not a single persone could help me. Very disappointed staff that clean the room stealed and touched my personal stuffs. Not coming back for sure, had a terrible experience.

- Domenica (8/5): - We had a very comfortable stay here for 2 nights while we were visiting universities in the DC area. Convenient location to Univ. of Maryland and to the highways. Facilities seemed new, parking was plentiful with the garage below the hotel, breakfast was fine. The coffee at breakfast was good, nice and strong! The gym had several good machines, though only one treadmill. Guest laundry had modern machines -- I didn't use them, but saw them while going to gym. We had a studio suite which we found too small for our family of 4. Though the bathroom, and especially the shower, was spacious, we could have done without the kitchen for more space. So, not really a "suite" as we usually book, with a couch, just a smaller hotel room with a kitchen and armchair. Nice to have a table for 4, but it ended up as a storage space because there was very little floor space available. Check in was smooth, though not particularly welcoming -- no smile, monotone. The woman at the desk when we checked out, however, was much friendlier and genuine. Overall, we were happy, and would stay at this hotel brand again, but wouldn't use this kind of room again.
