- caron (8/5): A stay that I would definitely repeat! - What a quaint room we stayed in, I loved it.
The breakfast was perfect.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. There wasn’t anything to dislike, however you need to be agile, as it’s an old building and there are a lot of stairs. That wasn’t a problem for us, but it maybe for others.
- Charlotte (9/5): Great welcome and very cosy: - Lovely welcome and the best breakfast. We didn’t have quite enough hot water - but this was explained to us.
- Karen (10/5): -
- Lynda (8/5): Great host. Great location. Lovely breakfast. - Clare was a brilliant host. The room was exactly as described and very clean and comfortable. The shower wasn’t the best 😢

- Christopher (6/5): All in all good comfortable stay - Very welcoming host , good breakfast , beds were really comfortable Television is tiny , we stayed as a family of 3 and had to wait a while for water to heat beck up for a bath
- Jonathan (8/5): Comfy stay - Comfortable bedroom, lovely breakfast, pleasant and friendly host Bathroom and stairs had low beams (although I did quite like the quirkiness) meaning you needed to be careful not to bump your head (plenty of signs up though)
- Alison (10/5): - Excellent. Large portions. Plenty of choice.
- Julie (10/5): Amazing short break - Beautiful location and friendly host. Room was clean and comfortable and cooked breakfast kept us full all day.

- Peter (10/5): Excellent short break. - The breakfast was excellent. As was the house it had a very homely relaxing feel.i would definitely stay there again For me nothing really
- Ian (7/5): - Excellent breakfasts in impressive period room. The attic room was a struggle for an older person. Access to the bath was difficult because it was under a sloping ceiling.Im I would have preferred more age-appropriate accommodation not in the attic.

We wished we had followed the owner’s recommendation make a reservation for dinner in the local restaurant which was fully booked. But there were other options for food in the village.

- Alice (10/5): Beautiful stay in a cosy, home from home - Beautiful little B&B that exceeded our expectations. We were attending an event nearby and just wanted a place to sleep but it ended up being one of the best places I've stayed in. We stayed in one of the gorgeous attic rooms which had really comfy beds, cosy duvets and tea and biscuits in the room. There were also really thoughtful touches like flannels and bath soak. Lovely breakfast in the morning as well with a huge choice. Thanks so much Clare for an amazing stay

Good facilities, lovely breakfast with great options.
- William (9/5): Pretty Much Perfect - We'd just booked an overnight stay due to an event we were attending nearby the following day. We were two hours early for checking in but our room was ready. The room itself was excellent. A spacious attic room, with a very comfortable bed and tea & coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price but because we were up so early, we didn't indulge. But the list of items looked excellent. Located in the centre of the village, there were numerous places very close by for eating and drinking. Absolutely nothing. It was perfect for our needs.
- Sue (10/5): Great place to stay - Great location for a holiday! Hosts were lovely, room beautifully decorated, breakfasts perfect
- Michael (10/5): Clair and mum, were excellent hosts. Lovely breakfast.. - Very clean, and lovely decoration, nice rooms Nothing
- Cynthia (9/5): - Great central location. Claire was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious. We arrived a bit early and were accommodated graciously with an early check in. Double bed was quite soft and could use slightly larger blankets. We had to unplug a bedside lamp in order to plug in personal electronics on both sides of the bed - it would have been nice to have a power bar on both sides, but obviously not a huge problem.

Nothing is too much trouble and we were able to borrow a book of local walks and followed one up to Kirkcarrion which afforded us some spectacular views. Nothing not to like. - Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (9/5): Friendly, personal and charming - Almost everything. Only a slightly compact / limited space bathroom (difficult to shower) stops this from getting a 10. Otherwise perfect. Nothing
- Michael (9/5): Warm, welcoming & very friendly - Warm friendly and inviting atmosphere. Clare was a welcoming host and explained everything clearly. Breakfast was warm and very fresh. Best sausages I've had in ages. There was a good variety if you didn't want a hot breakfast. The only issue we had was that the signage for the establishment was difficult to see on a busy street. We drove past it 3 times.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Super friendly. Old fashion charm throughout. Great food. Noisy toilet & sink when flushing…
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
