Guest Reviews

- Mark (5/5): - The Price. The first night, late, I had someone, another guest possibly, try to enter my room, as I could here the key trying to open the dead bolt. The bad thing is that person was able to open the dead bolt. So, it seems someone else had a key to my room or the other room keys possibly open other rooms. Not Good!
- WISHAM (9/5): -
- Jessi (1/5): - Bedding extremely unwashed, 1 lopsided 60 + year old bed, smelled like pee, couldn't breathe, tiny, wasn't expecting a lot, just wanted a peaceful place away, didn't get any sleep, stupidly paid for 2 days cash. Took hours to get a refund to leave the 2nd day. Then I guess this lady has the balls to tell the one chic after I get the 2nd day refunded, that pretty much we need to leave now. Trust me, you don't need to tell us shit, but may my child eat his lunch while we're waiting for the Wells Fargo horses?? It was disgusting, you shouldn't be charging no where near that amount. Then, somebody; has the audacity to leave a tip pouch for cleaning said "room". What for??!!! Besides everything else, your price, etc. and you got the balls to put your name on it asking for more money, when nobody can even wash bedding. Besides the mold, smoke, etc. little ass room, just nuts, for 73-74 dollars a "night". Shut it down n just straight rent it to the people that live there. WTF is up with that?? Is no damn "business", nor hotel. Shoulda just stayed in the damn quanset at the farm!! š¤Æš«©š¤® Smells better n theres spiders in there too, so worse than a quanset. Don't meet the eligibility to be a motel, or shit. What are you doin?? Thanx for keeping the full 74 to be trapped there, must need it more than us. Nice touch having that gal tell us to leave as she had to go get cash to refund us, after hours of tryna get a hold of someone. Sorry, had to get my kid lunch. Nice touch. I feel bad for the construction dudes that gotta bust their asses all day into night to go to that hellhole for work. Also, nice touch robbing everyone that pays that to "stay" there. š
- Richard (6/5): Good, with exceptions. - The TV worked, nice to have fridge and microwave. Need a new faucet in the shower BAD, drain didn't work, had water above the ankles when showering.
- Hans (10/5): - Very friendly and accommodating. Very nice for a budget motel.
- CHIRAG (10/5): - Attendant lady was extremely nice ....
- Miguel (10/5): - I loved the customer service & how nice the room was!
- Paul (8/5): - Was just handy for the night stay.
- Germon (10/5): -
- Dan (7/5): - Manager was nice. Confusion over our room. Got moved into a space that was not quite finished.
- Nancy (10/5): - Very nice stay and affordable!
- Richard (5/5): Twenty-five years ago iight have been nice - Very little Old, worn out, dirty, the A/C didnāt work very well.
- Jamie (10/5): Great value for a clean cute room - Room was very clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed after a long day on the road. Our room
Had a lot of old fashioned charm that made our stay fun. Check in and out was extremely quick.
- Matthew (5/5): Neutral, some good, some not so good. - Price Unable to turn heat on. AC was running, but able to turn off but room remained very cold. No comforter or heavy blanket. Bed comfortable but unable to sleep due to coldness. No hot water for shower. Also, upon checking in I was told to give my debit card pin # to clerk. I was not given option to enter myself. So I ended up paying cash. Should have mini coffee pots in room and needs updated paint and decor.
- Fisher (8/5): - Sara greeted us at the desk when we arrived and was very helpful and concerned that everything was as expected.
Do not expect a chain hotel, rather a small motel with colorful paint colors, and towels and sheets that are not bleached white. Many cute touches in the rooms. Slight smoke odor when you come in the front doors
- Daniel (10/5): - This place was a pleasant surprise with the low price. I was there on a hot day after an outdoor family event and the room was nice and cool with a kick ass air conditioner running. Clean, comfortable bed with a hide-a-bed couch for an extra person. If you're on a budget, this is a nice place with a more than fair price.
- Penny (5/5): When we called, we didnāt know we had gotten a third party and we were charged 50.00 extra for our room - A place to sleep It smelled
- Mark (10/5): - Very convenient for great restaurant/bar next door, as well as great clean reasonable room to stay in!
- Justin (2/5): - Made the reservation on Expedia. Arrived exhausted at midnight. Waited forever for someone to come to the desk. Could see my name and the day taped to the room board. Desk attendant came out seemingly out of it and I said that I was the person listed behind her. She said hold on and then went in a backroom and didnāt come back for ten minutes until I buzzed the bell again. Then told me they gave away my room. Said I needed to have checked in by 6pm which I said Iād never heard of in my life. She was being argumentative. Made no attempt to reach out to me. No apology. Said sheād help me find a place and grabbed a phone book at which point I walked out and drove another hour to get a room somewhere else.
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - Very clean, decent sized rooms, great value, great staff Rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable
- Tammy (2/5): - We did not get to stay there because between Expedia screwing up and the hotel screwing up. They didn't have a room for us. So I better not get charged for it.
- Chelsea (7/5): Good -
- Roberson (8/5): Very good - It's a cute little place. The room is quaint and was perfect for our visit. Sarah, the front desk gal was so friendly and inviting.
- Kong (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (9/5): Arrived late. Sara was very nice, Would have been nice to have more than coffee before I left. - Location was remote compared to the reason that I was in the area. Ended up being a non-issue.
- Forrest (8/5): Very good -
- Kong (8/5): Very good -
- Maurstad (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): - Quiet place with good parking. Clean, comfortable room. Pleasant staff.
- Lorie (6/5): - Friendly and accommodating staff
- Jonni (10/5): - The Inn is very comfortable, the room was rustico pretty, the lady the receive me was super friendly and helpful. I stayed in there hostels in there nights (two with know names), this was by far the best experiencie.
- Brian (8/5): - .
- Steven (9/5): Great stay on our trip! - Friendly staff. Great location and cute room No coffee
- H7669CJlh (10/5): Friendly, clean and convenient - Friendly staff who stepped up and dealt effectively with an unusual plumbing problem that occurred at an especially awkward time. The manager set up another clean, comfortable room and cancelled the charge for the room in acknowledgement of the problem.
The rooms are a little dark but it is part of the unique character in this small inn. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would stay there again when in the area.
- Craig and Patricia (10/5): - The staff is just superb!!
- Todd (9/5): Superb - Cozy, rural ambience, friendly staff
- Dana (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Easy on/off interstate. Quaint room
- Marcel (8/5): Great - Didnāt have breakfast, location was great Only thing I didnāt like was hot water wasnāt very hot for shower. It was minus 27 outside so that may have had something to do with it
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice small town motel - having some overdue maintenance done on a service vehicle and seeing a friend from overseas same trip. Service took a bit more than expected so had to spend some overnights. Very comfortable small town motel. Clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I would and probably will stay again at some point
- Woody (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was really fun to talk to, āļø talked about the 38 Special concert at Mehnomen when I stayed there back in November I couldn't figure out the Roku direct TV set up so I could watch Monday night football. The staff was very helpful
- Isaac (6/5): - It was priced well and clean. The room was comfortable enough for our needs. It was quiet and we slept fine.
- Paul (8/5): - A good place for spend the night
- Craig (8/5): Nice quiet motel. Well taken care of and the rooms were comfortable. -
- Kenneth (8/5): - Nice hunting motif very cozy good price
- Janice (8/5): - Na
- Craig (7/5): Good -
- Johnson (9/5): Superb -
- brandi (4/5): - The pullout bed was smaller than described and also had brown smears and long hairs on it, hadnāt been cleaned for a while apparently. The shower water didnāt get hot, and there were lots of flies in the room all weekend. The blankets were not good either, very thin and I was cold at night. The area is very easy to locate and thereās a delicious cafe across the street to get great food at. Staff were friendly, the place was quiet and had a quaint atmosphere. Free coffee at the front desk was appreciated.
- Johnson (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): - Sara was exceptionally nice. Tried to make our stay welcoming & accommodating. Definitely would stay there again.
- Michelle (10/5): - Everything. I liked everything. The manager is amazing
- Joseph (10/5): - Nice and quiet, clean and comfortable. Will stay here again.
- Ellen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant - Price. Location. Bed. Coffee. Room being ready on arrival. (I think there was an absent cleaning person.)
- Swanand (6/5): - It is difficult to maintain a property in the barren area. That is commendable. Nothing around to eat or even walk. Totally dusty area. No breakfast or even water bottle available. No property related issue. Room was good. But did not feel safe as no other occupant in the property.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A gem - Reviews were good, price unbelievable so had to see for ourselves. We will return 100%. We can bring our pet next time also. Desk, dresser, larger refrig w/separate freezer, 2 chairs & a power bed elevated back for hubby, elevated legs for my sleep comfort & massage that helped my sore calves tremendously. We had Rm 7. Very safe neighborhood and all ground level rooms. Desk closes by 10 pm. Attaching photos unfortunately not functioning.
- Brian (10/5): - The "truck stop" next door had an amazing family diner!
and very reasonably priced.
- Colleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lowell (2/5): Low low quality - Not offered Ice cold showers, swayback bed, dirty sheets, hair in shower, torn old towels, I could keep going
- Donna (9/5): Convenient, clean and affordable - Justin and his dad were very accommodating and friendly Nothing except no blow dryer
- Foster (9/5): Superb - Quiet, nicely furnished, nice helpful staff, good vslue
- Kim (8/5): - A small quaint hotel in a small town. Iy felt safe and was clean. Great food at the pub next door and awesome pie at the truck stop diner!
- Norm (6/5): - We stopped here over night because of all the good reviews. Well itās very average to lower average. Itās outdated and smells old. Stale air. Ac was at coldest and barely cooled. Bed was too soft for our liking and sunk inwards. Although it was clean, we would pay $30 dollars or more to stay at better. The manager was helpful although alone at checking us in plus cleaning rooms. He had to clean our room after we checked in with him at 6pm. We believe this is a truthful review to our experience there and it wasnāt that bad, just not great. If the room was $50, then ok I guess but it was more than that.
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Raymond (10/5): - Itās a good deal for a frugal traveler. The matress is marginal. The hide a bed would not have been comfortable for me. The manager was very good and accommodating.
- Mike32406 (2/5): Never again. - A new mattress would have been nice a few years ago!
No soap available.
THE SHOWER DID NOT WORK. THE ON/OFF NOB WAS BROKE .
A plus...the room was clean. What else can be said about a terrible experience....this is an old property. Looks like a place where the rent rooms by the hour.
- Risner (6/5): Friendly staff, but inaccurate description on booking.com - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Booking said a bed and pullout couch. Only one room we booked had a pullout couch and it was more like a loveseat.
- Sara (6/5): A clean room and good value. - It's a good value for a room that is still reasonably close to Fargo, without Fargo prices. The bed was comfortable and the room clean, although super dated (but who cares). It's a good value. There's a bar/restaurant next door that has pretty good food. It's a little scary feeling walking in. Super dim lighting and doesn't look like it's been remodeled since 1983.
- Murray (8/5): Very good -
- Ronald (10/5): - Nice and quiet.
- Shelley (10/5): - Nice clean old style rooms with super helpful staff ! Comfy beds and clean linens. Would stay again if in area.
- PETER (10/5): - Will return
- robert (8/5): - Reasonable
- Joseph (8/5): Met my expectations and served my purpose. - The room was clean and staff was friendly. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable.
- Dale (10/5): - The rooms were large and nicely decorated. The parking lot was large and there was a restaurant in walking distance next to the property. I would stay there again.
- Allie (4/5): - We were called the night of our arrival and told they only had 1 of 2 rooms I reserved. I told them that wasn't my problem and they better figure it out. When we arrived several hours later, it appeareded the manager was cleaning out his own room for half my party to sleep in. The rooms had basically house door locks, and beds were 2 feet from the door. I was a little anxious. But the rooms were clean and fresh. It was a good price, just a little unnerving with the room situation.
- Karen (10/5): - Overnight trip in a small town. Didnāt want a chain hotel so we took a chance on this one. Glad we did. Friendly staff, clean room, dated but cozy. Would stay again.
Quiet considering a truck stop was nearby.
- Gordon (10/5): Good location, very good value - Another pleasant stay⦠an easy, quiet pit-stop halfway on the drive between Winnipeg and the Twin Cities⦠we will be back.
- Kristi (8/5): Perfect place and price to get some rest after a long travel day. wasnāt looking for much in amenities. - clean, quiet. wifi available. a bit rundown. Tub had crack in the bottom. pipes made noises.
- Jacob (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gordon (8/5): Clean old-school roadside motel - Older property that needs some serious updating, especially the sink and bath fittings / taps⦠but well kept and very clean, good value for the price⦠close to the interstate with a good restaurant & bar right next door.
- Charlene (10/5): - Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. No complaints.
- Cindy (8/5): - Just stayed over night, was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice and breakfast was one of the best weāve had when included in the stay. We would stay at this property again. Only hiccup was that our deadbolt didnāt work, but we did n not feel unsafe at all.
- Stephany (6/5): Good one night stay, don't judge a book by its cover - The room was very clean. Staff was friendly and courteous. Thank you Sara and Justin for making us welcome.
Parking is packed ground asphalt to gravel. Solid enough for motorcycles.
Easy access entry for mobility, narrow hallway but easy transition on floors and through doorways.
We did sleep well. From the exterior the hotel looks pretty rough.
The sign for hotel is faded and partially missing.
Everything inside is clean but dated.
The dresser in the room I liked, real furniture.
The drywall has been repaired in places and is obvious ( at least in our room).
The bed was ok.
- Tamara (10/5): - Will stay again
- Darrin (8/5): Would happily stay here again. - Locally owned, staff very friendly even when I arrived close to midnight.
- John (10/5): - Cozy and Quiet!
- Michael (10/5): Recommended - Comfortable and very clean.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Ideal location for my trip and staff were friendly and helpful Canāt think of anything
- Donna (9/5): Very convenient and clean! - No breakfast. Just coffee. Was very weak Very clean. Booked again for August!
- Marti (10/5): - Liked the price, accommodating staff, nice TV, comfy bed, room is good sized, fridge and some microwaves. Quiet area. Next to a nice bar and grill and great cafe at the truck stop.
- Vahan (10/5): - Great place.
- Margie (10/5): Great Deal - This hotel was so quaint and homey. Although it was older, that added to the charm! The staff was so helpful and welcoming. It was a great stay, especially for the price!
- Marc (10/5): - Nice location. Truck stop diner and Powerhouse bar were in short walking distance of Comfortzone.
- Marc (10/5): Nice place to stay at - It was nice and quiet.
- Joshua (8/5): - Nice little hotel.
- Pamela (8/5): Very good -
- Kristin (10/5): - The hotel is in a very small town, but surprisingly, modern and updated inside. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with no cracks or apparent disrepair. It was very quiet, safe, and comfort. The only reason I didnāt give it a full 10 stars is that there isnāt much there, but I didnāt need anything other than a place to sleep. I would definitely stay there again.
