I’ve been to many cities across Thailand, but this place truly captured my heart. It is, without a doubt, the best guesthouse I’ve experienced in the country. The staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming — they make you feel at home from the very first moment. There is also a restaurant on-site, and the food is absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, beautifully presented, and everything tastes amazing. The room was extremely cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell that a lot of care goes into maintaining the place. The entire territory is just stunning — peaceful, well-kept, and very атмосферная. No AC (41⁰) Listing on Booking.com said there was air cond. I Blame Booking.com, not he proprietors. Otherwise, great.

• myriam (9/5): Fabuleux - Quel endroit magnifique: bien situé au bord du Mékong, avec une jolie vue, un peu à l'écart du mouvement et du bruit des marchés de nuit; le jardin avec ces grands arbres, ses parasols, ses salons de jardin épars, est un havre de fraîcheur. Accueil très agréable en anglais, vélos à louer (un peu cher), restauration correcte sur place. Mon bungalow était magnifique avec un joli balcon, décoration soignée; mention spéciale pour la jolie salle de bain et le sol de la douche en galets naturels. Il y a trop de meubles qui encombrent inutilement la chambre (notamment un gros siège de bureau en cuir, à roulettes); il n'y a pas de porte serviette dans la salle de bain. Je n'ai pas apprécié les "initiatives" personnelles des cuisinières qui rajoutent force chocolat liquide sur les desserts ... lait et beaucoup de sucre dans le café glacé ...

• Benedicte (8/5): Super séjour au bord du Mékong - L'hôtel est super agréable, les chambres ont des ventilateurs, des moustiquaires, les lits sont confortables, la salle de bain, commune pour les 2 ou 3 chambres d'un même étage était très bien. Le petit balcon à l'étage est bien ventilé, le soir il fait bon y passer un petit moment. La terrasse de l'hôtel est bien ombragée et très agréable pour se poser, manger. Nous étions facilement au marché de nuit à pied, très bon emplacement au bord du Mékong. Tout était parfait!

• Richard (9/5): Leuk guesthouse - Fijne, schone kamer met goed sanitair. Het guesthouse ligt op een rustige lokatie aan de boulevard langs de Mekong en heeft een leuke tuin wat de relaxte sfeer nog versterkt. De avondmarkt begint op 200 meter van het guedthouse. Ontbijt is tegen bijbetaling verkrijgbaar. Er zijn wel wat muggen, maar er is een klamboe en ventilator zodat je er eigenlijk geen last van hebt.

Concernant la salle d'eau partagée, pas de chance pour nous, nous avons dû subir les 2 jeunes français les plus irrespectueux de la planète qui ont voulu privatiser l'espace, sachant que les toilettes n'étaient pas à part.

The accommodation is well-run, the food is tasty, and the staff are friendly... a place one could easily stay longer if only there were a better mattress. The accommodation is great, but the mattress/wire mesh is simply bad... poor value for money.

• Bernard (8/5): - C'est un endroit merveilleux. Un magnifique jardin au bord du Mékong. On peut vous servir le petit déjeuner et les repas. C'est un peu cher, mais sans excès. Je pense que les propriétaires étaient nuls en géométrie. La chambre qui devait faire 18 M2, en faisait tout juste 10. A deux c'est difficile de se déplacer dans chambre . Un petit ventilateur. Il n'y même pas un crochet pour pendre une serviette. C'est pas cher, mais on en a pas pour son argent, si on compare avec l'offre hôtelière dans cette ville. Ce n'est pas correct de donner des informations mensongères pour appâter le client.

Assez réputé sur les plateformes et Tripadvisor, nous n'avons pas trouvé ce lodge à la hauteur des louanges qui lui sont réservés d'ordinaire. Accueil très moyen, froid et désinvolte. Chambre (bien que supérieure) sombre au fond d'une petite allée entre un bâtiment ouvert et un autre en grands travaux (d'où provenait un bruit de perceuse incessant en journée). La chambre est relativement froide et humide, vu son emplacement (que le soleil n'atteint pas et les soirées pouvant être fraîches au bord du fleuve). TV (programme satellite invraisemblable; "shopping everywhere" ! pas trouvé une seule chaine d'infos potable), coffre fort OK, wifi connexion OK. SdB sombre avec chauffe eau électrique (donc avec un débit limité sinon eau tiède obligatoire) ; petit lavabo, pas de shampoing, ni gel douche (2 très petites savonnettes), Matelas très ferme, voire dur (à notre sens). Côté restauration ; le pt déj est en sus à la carte. Le dîner idem et nous y avons mangé après une arrivée tardive. La salle ouverte vers le fleuve avec ses dépendances est relativement sympathique ; le système de commande est basé sur un système en semi self service : carnet à remplir pour la cuisine, boissons à récupérer dans un frigo... C'est assez bon néanmoins. La carte est variée et contient aussi un peu de littérature 'maison' dont nous n'avons pas vraiment saisi tous les aspects et notamment la page concernant les vols retour de Thaïlande via Tachkent ??!! Mystère ! Donc au final un avis assez mitigé, mais le prix explique aussi peut être cela, puisqu'il ne vous en coutera qu'une trentaine d'euros pour 1 nuit à 2 pax sans le pt déj.

A peculiar way of ordering food (you cannot ask for the dish you want but you must write it down in a book connected to your room and the staff will read what you want). Lots of mosquitos in the rooms. Hazzle with the mosquito net that will disrupt your sleep because it will be in contact with your head. Please change the setup of the mosquito net. Overhearing from neighboring rooms. Poor ventilation in rooms.

• Maya (10/5): More than a hotel- a beautiful and memorable experience! - Mut Mee is more than a hotel, it is a true guesthouse in the old tradition. We felt so welcomed, cared for and really part of the family. Julian and his team are exceptional hosts, the rooms are sweet, and the location on the Mekong river is so special. Conveniently located near lots of great restaurants, bars, the markets and shops, but it feels like an idyllic river retreat. Enjoy walks on the promenade and sublime sunsets, all on your doorstep. Great food, lovely courtyard, and the best service. Above and beyond. I highly recommend the Mut Mee, and I’m sure we will be returning for years to come.

• Renate (4/5): Enttäuschend, fehlende Information zur Baustelle, falsche Informationen zur Lage des Zimmer im EG - Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ich hatte das Mut Mee wegen des angeblich schönen Gartens und der angeblich netten Atmosphäre gebucht. Und zwar für 9 Nächte und bereits 6 Monate im voraus. Ein Superior Zimmer mit Bad. Die Rezeptionistin brachte mich zu meinem Zimmer. Es war im Erdgeschoss ! Ich sagte ich hätte mit Balkon gebucht, darauf bekam ich zur Antwort die seien noch teurer. Es gab eine kleine Terrasse mit 2 unbequemen Stühlen aus Eisen und ohne Kissen. Alle anderen Zimmer hatten bequeme Stühle auf Balkon oder Terrasse. Noch schlimmer war die Aussicht. Kein schöner Garten mehr vorhanden, sondern Aussicht auf eine 4 Stockwerke hohe Baustelle und den Bauzaun. Kein Wort von der Baustelle und dass das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss liegt, weder in der Beschreibung noch als Info zu meiner Buchung. Die Terrasse war ständig schmutzig, ich habe sie selbst mehrfach gekehrt. Durch das hohe neue Gebäude kommt keine Sonne mehr durch. Ein Wäscheständer fehlt. Im Bad oder Zimmer trocknet kein feuchtes Handtuch. Das Essen im Restaurant hat mit würzigem Thaiessen nicht mehr viel gemeinsam.
