Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (9/5): Great location and great host - This is an excellent location, right in the heart of the city. It is on a busy street, but the windows shut out the noise very well. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Federica kindly facilitated our early check in and gave us lots of great tips for what to see and do in the city.
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - Federica and Ivan were really helpful and made everything so easy. The breakfast at nearby Maglio Bros was delicious, and the location was ideal for getting everywhere in Naples, and outside of Naples for day trips. Highly recommend, great value for money. Thank you Federica and Ivan!
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (8/5): Enjoyed my stay, and would visit again! - Welcoming staff, home vibe, very clean and the silence in the room in a very busy part of the city. Breakfast, I did not realize this was not in the b&b itself but a nearby cafe. Was not a very welcoming place in my opinion. Given you need to go out, might as well try a different cafe every morning, there are plenty around :)
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Margalit (10/5): Cozy and comfortable stay in Naples - This was a lovely stay for 3 night in Naples. I had the small single room with an external bathroom but the bathroom was right next to the bedroom and I liked having the keys to keep everything secure. The room was small but comfortable and the dining table and lounge area were nice and spacious. They were very kind to allow me to leave my luggage after checkout and Federica was even so kind as to help me place a local phone call. I also loved all the art and the pendant light in the bathroom! It was a little dark because the entire apartment faces only the inside of the building but this helps keep it quiet. The main gate to the street needed an extra pull to make sure it latched closed.
- Noel (8/5): Very good - Very central handy to metro museums good for walking.
- Lidija (10/5): Exceptional - It was wonderful to stay in the accommodation because of the friendliness of the host, the useful information we got in the accommodation, the proximity to interesting streets, the historical centre and the archaeological museum. There is also a metro station nearby and the walk to the sea along Toledo Street is also very pleasant.
- Luca (10/5): Perfect location and exceptionally comfortable - Wonderful location and an exceptionally kind and friendly host.
- Sydney (10/5): It had a classic film charm! Great host! - Excellent stay! It's located just off Via Toledo and across from The Archaeology Museum as well as a delightful vegan restaurant, Vitto Pitagorico. The BnB is quite charming with very many vintage books, trinkets, and very lovely decor. It feels like something out of a classic Italian film!
The host is great! She gave me a warm welcome and greeted me with chiachierre and espresso! Then she showed me all of her recommendations on a map and left a book of information on the table. I really appreciated her taking the time to do that. It's because of her that I ended up doing a whole lot more in Naples than I had on my itinerary.
In the book of recommendations, she wrote short excerpts on each recommendation that included instagrammable places, historic sites and other locations off the beaten trail that I hadn't even heard about. The host was also very responsive and very gracious.
The room was very lovely, with nice decor, and it had a beautiful balcony, lush with succulent plants and flowers. There was heating/AC, warm lighting, a flat screen TV, hair dryer, soaps, a kettle, tea and the bathroom was also nice.
The prices for this BnB are very affordable and worth it. It was a better experience than being at a hotel because it had a vintage charm to it and was really right there in the middle of everything! As a city girl, I like to be where the action is and to really experience life in a new place. I loved being able to walk to anything because everything is at your doorstep. The BnB feels like an oasis in the centre of everything. You can see quite a lot, and you can get a good night's sleep. As someone who has traveled the world, I will definitely chose Arte e Musei again and recommend to friends.
- Amy (10/5): Federica and Ivan created a beautiful, restful home away from home in the center of the city. - Federica and Ivan were wonderful hosts. They thought of everything to make us comfortable and at home, from the amazing fresh sfogliatelle to the espresso and even medicine for my husband when he got sick. They gave us wonderful recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. They made us feel oriented and completely at home in Naples.
The b and b was beautiful and extremely comfortable and clean, with many thoughtful touches.
We loved being surrounded by the beautiful art from Federica and found her communications extremely helpful. They put us at ease and provided exceptional hospitality from before to after our stay.
Thank you so much Federica and Ivan!
Ciao!
Amy and Jeff Everything was wonderful!
- Laurence (10/5): Week-end Napoli - I would like to thank you Frederica for her kindness, all the informations and explanations given that help me a lot, and her advice to find some good restaurants.
The B&B is very well located. Frederica was also very helpful to authorize me to stay with my luggage at the end of my stay asI have a late flight. Thank you for everything and I will recommand the B&B to my friends.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marja (10/5): Wish this could be my home - This B&B was absolutely awesome. Flat was old and beautiful, common spaces cosy as home, our room was big, clean, nicely furnished, comfort beds - double + single wides, bathroom was big and tidy. Hostess Federica was very friendly and helpful, gave valuable advices and was in contact well before and also afterwards made sure we reached airport on time. Location was superb next to Archeological Museum and Centro Storico. Couldn’t want/need more. We’ll be back and also this B&B is highly recommended. ❣️ There was nothing to complain.
- Iain (8/5): Very nice B&B. Great value for money and very well positioned for getting around in Naples. -
- Randy (9/5): The place was clean and was a great location for all the places we wanted to see in Napoli. -
- Luigi (9/5): A tranquil haven from the city noise, and a good walk to many of the major sites of Naples! - Ivan was a gracious host. He waited for my late arrival from the airport which was close to midnight. He also got me a cab ride back to the airport; he and his wife double-checked with me after I left. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the National Archeological Museum of Naples (a block away) and Capidomonte (a moderate uphill walk but scenic). Also close to the main sights of Via Tribunale, including Duomo, Chiara, and Piazza Bellini and Piazza Dante, and a good exercise walk to Quartieri Spangnoli, Municipio, and Plebiscito. The subway is very close right in front of the Archeological Museum. I slept soundly every night because the room faces the courtyard, which was sheltered from the noise outside. There are at least three coffee shops a stone's throw away that open as early as 6:30 am!
- Alessandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to come back to after walking the old town.
The owners were very approachable and helpful.
- Torben (10/5): Excellent location - Excellent location and the perfect point of departure for walks in the fascinating and - very - pulsating centro-historico of Naples. Frederica was extremely helpful in providing excellent tips for sightseeing and restaurants in the neighborhood
- Andrew (9/5): Superb location and clean accommodation - Style, location, bed, shower External private bathroom, but it wasn’t a major problem for me.
- Sarah (10/5): Great room in Naples - Lovely room, spacious and ideal for exploring Naples. Left snacks and it was the extra little bit like the map of the city and recommendations that made it a 10. Nothing. It is a lovely place.
- Cyma (10/5): Highly recommended - The property is wonderful. We will be back soon. Nothing
- Veronika (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful apartment next door to the
archeological museum and close to the historic center of Naples. Frederica is a really nice host.
- Dorota (7/5): Good - Breakfast was ok. It was served in the bar few minutes walk from the apartment. Apartment was clean. Location is great. Old town in walking distance. Also close to the metro. It was a bit noisy during nights because apartment is located on quite busy street. It could be nice to get refill of tea bags during cleaning.
- Carina (7/5): Good - It was quiet I didn't like the blanket and the furniture was very old
The air wasn't too good and the air conditioning was very loud
I didn't like the bar for breakfast as almost everything was gone when I went there around 10 and the personnel were not really nice to me at least. I know the concept and I have been to way better cafés
- Cyma (9/5): Outstanding B&B and hosts - You should definitely consider staying at this B&B. Ivan and Federica are outstanding hosts who go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay. They pay attention to every detail, making sure you have everything you need to feel at home. The house itself is beautifully decorated and furnished with love and care. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. Moreover, the building has a charming historical vibe, and the apartment has been fully renovated to provide modern amenities. The location couldn't be better, just a few minutes walk from both the metro and the city center, allowing you to easily explore everything the area has to offer. Nothing
- Bjørn (9/5): Superb - We will stay in this B&B next time we visit Napoli.
The lady was so kind and helpful and gave lots of good advice.
- Kirill (6/5): Pleasant -
- Helen (9/5): Lovely room near the museum. - Really comfortable single room with a kettle (a rarity in Italy). Ivan was very welcoming and showed me lots of places to visit. I really appreciated being able to leave my bags on my last day.
Breakfast was included using a voucher at a local cafe for a coffee and a croissant/brioche.
The separate bathroom is just for the use of the person in the single room and is very good.
The room was quiet, considering that it is on a busy main road.
- Daniëlle (10/5): Excellent stay with very nice hosts - Excellent stay with very nice hosts
- Dorota (9/5): It was a great, quiet place in a noisy Naples. Federica (host) was very helpful and kind! -
- Chrissy (7/5): Great location Enjoyed the room Shame the breakfast was such a problem - Great location Very kind owners who were extremely helpful Very clean Bedding and towels changed regularly Shower was a problem Sometimes hot sometimes lukewarm ,the shower would not regulate Breakfast was horrible It was one coffee , no tea, and a cake in a very small cafe bar It you are happy to eat cake every morning for breakfast then it could be okay .althoigh cafe very small on a main road After the first morning we didn’t use the cafe again
- Sebastian (10/5): Perfect, cute little room for single traveller - The apartment has the perfect location for exploring Napoli by foot. I was in the single bed room with external (private) bath room right next to my door. It was not inconvenient at all. The whole apartment is very clean and was perfect for me as a single traveller. I think the room could use a slightly wider bed and the WiFi connection was a bit spotty at times. Nothing else to criticise, really.
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evgenii (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joel (10/5): Well located, clean, comfortable, stylish, peaceful stay. - Very clean, comfortable & stylish place, helpful host & very well located. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Naples. It was a shame breakfast was not provided onsite anymore given great reviews about past breakfasts. We were given a voucher for a local cafe where we could get a free coffee and pastry, which was fine.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect position for archeological museum and old town, easy walking and safe! - Big room, large windows in bathroom and bedroom, tea kettle in room, plenty of bottled water AND Maglia Bros Cafe were very friendly for breakfast.
- Tomáš (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely apartment in Napoli, tastefully furnished. Perfect location within walking distance to the center and next to the metro. Great breakfast in a nearby cafe. Really friendly owners. W arrived late due to a cancelled flight, Ivan waited for us to show us the apartment, and even made recommendations for places to see. Thanks a lot! Traffic noise from the street
- Jelmer (9/5): Superb -
- Igor (10/5): Exceptional - We have been to several cities in Italy, mainly in the northern and central parts. This was our first stay in Naples, so we had a lot of "jitters" about meeting this spirited southern city. Here are our key impressions:
Naples is probably not the most beautiful city we have ever seen, but it is certainly very different from the others.
History and the present collide in one place; sea widths and heights on Vesuvius; numerous Italian specialties and cultural monuments; organized traffic chaos and unusual commotion; huge number of tourists from different parts of the world with tireless hosts...
In order to experience all that in a relatively short time, it is extremely important to have adequate accommodation - close to the center, accessible to public transport and the like - which is not at all easy.
We were lucky enough to have all that, plus an excellently equipped space with all the necessary things, including all the necessary hygiene standards, and, which was completely unexpected for us - exceptionally loving hosts - the married couple Mr. Ivan and Ms. Federika. They were at our service for everything we needed - from useful information and suggestions for places we should visit, to help in solving some other problems.
In the end, let's conclude: The hosts deserve the highest marks for the location and cleanliness of the rooms in which we were accommodated, and Napoli deserves at least one more visit!
- Xin (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (9/5): Wonderful few days at Arte e Musei - Location, cleanliness, helpfulness of host.
- Holguer (8/5): In general was good - The room was very nice and big The distance from the city center or any other transportation stop like the subway.
- Jan (10/5): I highly recommend - Location was perfect, close to city. Ivan was very accommodating. My flight didn’t arrive until after 11pm and he waited for me to arrive and then took the time to explain where all the best things to see were and highlighted them on the map.
I also loved the aesthetics of the place decorated to my style. Loved it. Nil
- Nathalie (9/5): Perfetto - I had a great day in the B&B Arte e Musei. As a solo traveler I had room n2, a single bed room with television and airconditioning and a bathroom next door which was private for me. (I could lock it with my key). In the common living room there was some biscottes with jam and honey and coffee and tea maker. And we had a fridge to our disposal.
Everything was clean. I would defenitely come back to Frederica and Ivan, whom I didn't see much as I was always out exploring. But when I messaged them they responded instantly. (I had a look at the other rooms as well whilst they were being cleaned. They look out into the street, and so have direct sunlight. They sleep 2 and 3 people with an ensuite bathroom.
Also a big shoutout to the Maglia Bros bar where I had the breakfast (cornetto e cappuccino). They are very friendly and make the most wonderfull cappuccino. My room was situated in the inside of the building, looking onto the lift (which is a bonus). As such, I didn't get any sunlight in, but as I wasn't in during the day, that wasn't much of a problem. And it also resulted to the fact the room was much quieter. :-)
- Bálint (9/5): Charming place with great location, good value/money! - Very charming place, great atmosphere. The hosts were great, gave me a lot of advice and recommendations!
The water and the little things the fridge were a nice suprise!
Good location, on a busy street, yet no noise from the outside. The walls are not too thick, there is a bit of noise from the common area and the neighboring room.
- Godfrey (10/5): Ivan and Frederica both spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful when a pickpocket got our passports! - Brilliant location! The building is typical of this old part of town - you can live like a Neopolitan for a couple of days! Inside, the room was sparkling clean and spacious. There were facilities for keeping food and water cold and to have coffee in the large entrance area. We loved it! Nothing - traffic outside was as expected in a city centre.
- Anonymous (10/5): Central and convenient location, lovely and welcoming hosts and nice room - Central and convenient location, nice facilities with air conditioning. Our hosts Ivan and Federica were exceptionally nice A bit noisy since it is on a major street
- Clare (9/5): welcoming and friendly, terrific pizza at Starita - very helpful host
good location
secure no complaints
- Debra (10/5): Lovely B & B in the heart of historic Naples! - Great location very close to the archeological museum and the historic centre - very walkable. Very clean & comfortable. Excellent helpful hosts who met us when we arrived, provided travel advice and booked a taxi for us to the port. Not applicable
- Moira (10/5): Excellent accommodation and location. - Ok. Nothing.
- Simon (10/5): My host was very helpful with identifying restaurants, explains the transport functionality, explains the compaiarte car - It was very well located, quiet, very clean and everything worked as it should Nothing
- Nerida (10/5): Great room and facilities with all our needs catered for. - Clean, comfortable with thoughtful touches. Extremely responsive owners. Nothing
- Alma (9/5): Great location and nice building, very helpful staff. - Location, historical building, helpful staff, clean. A bit noisy as it is close to the street, shower water not very hot, fridge not in the room.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (9/5): Friendly helpful hotelier. Quick response to all questions. Good value for money - Old location, easy to find. Quiet. Felt at home Had to go to a nearby cafe for breakfast
- Ivan (9/5): Excellent B&B in central Naples. - B&B was in a good location near the archeological museum. The 2nd floor room was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and air conditioned. I had been upgraded to the largest room for free.
A communal fridge was available in the dining area with water and juice provided and also a kettle, tea and a coffee maker. The hosts Federica and Ivan were friendly and caring. Federica was helpful and provided useful suggestions about where to visit and eat out in the evening.
Breakfast was at a small cafe a short walk away which served pastries and coffee. On the day of departure I was able to leave my bags in the room later than the advertised check out time because there was no other booking that day. The room overlooked a main road. Naples is a big city with a lot of traffic and it was a little noisy in the early hours of the morning. This is partly to be expected being centrally located, so bear this is mind if you are a light sleeper.
- Malikhone (10/5): Pleasant stay with great hostess and host - Thank you Federica and Ivan for your exceptional hospitality. You guys are such generous and kind couple. Federica lended me a plug adapter and I lost it on the boat. She refused me to pay it back. This small gesture of kindness that made me feel so grateful and I love everything about the apartment: abundance of snacks, tea and coffee, a spotless accommodation and the lot. They spent their entire afternoon giving me tour tips for Naples and nearby towns and just a very special place to be. Before I left, they even arranged me a taxi to the airport. Nothing
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mattias (10/5): Exceptional - Optimal service, they had someone to meet me at the metro to guide me to the apartment and hand over the keys. Beutiful old apartnent within walking distance to most attractions. The room seemed newley renovated and very clean
- David (10/5): Perfect in every way. - B&B Arte e Musei was the perfect location for my first visit to Naples. The location was close to major sites but crawling with tourists, the room was spotless and the owners were exceptionally kind and helpful. I have no complaints or concerns.
- Caroline (10/5): Perfect! - Hosts so nice. Perfect location. Small acts of kindness very much appreciated. Nothing
- Dovile (10/5): Exceptional - The B&B was one of the best if not the best I have ever stayed in Italy. Very neat, cosy, relaxing, classy and artistic - I liked Federica's art a lot.
Federica and Ivan were trully great and very gererous hosts. I originally booked a single room, but since they have had a cancelation on a double one, they have uograded my room from single to double for the same price. Never happened to me before in my entire life which left me speechless and very grateful.
The location was very good, very local like (which means great price quality ratio for eating out), however the city centre was easily reachable by a short walk or metro ride. And if your objetive is Archeology museum, you wont find a better place.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - clean, comfortable and welcoming. Host was very helpful.
- Jerry (9/5): Superb -
- Sylvia (9/5): Very clean, highly recommended for a few days stay. - We felt very welcomed, the property was amazingly clean! It's simple and spacious. We were out exploring the city all day so the location was PERFECT to reach everything by foot. it's on a very busy street so the noise can be a little much at night. Breakfast (italian) just contains of pastry's which is unusual for us Dutchies, but it was not a problem for a few days.
- Paul (9/5): Perfect base for exploring Italy’s most exciting and intense city. - A fantastic base for our first visit to Napoli. This B&B is clean, colourful and very comfortable. It has all the facilities we needed and is immaculately maintained with a daily cleaning service that exceeded our expectations. Frederica and Ivan gave us a good intro to the city and good advice about getting round. They were immediately responsive to our questions or any concerns we had. Highly recommended! Nothing - all good
- Noel (10/5): Excellent stay in Naples. - Federica and Ivan were excellent hosts. Their location was great and they gave us great suggestions for seeing the area. They were also very helpful in making travel plans as well. Highly recommend! No complaints at all. Everything worked extremely well.
- Marilyn (10/5): A great place to stay when visiting Naples, full of character, highly recommended - Kind and helpful host, nice room overlooking a busy street but not too noisy, good location very convenient for old town. Nothing.
- Michael (10/5): Our hosts were perfect, everything we needed was catered for, the room kept very clean and tidy and special breakfast re - spacious, comfortable bed. good facilities and very clean nothing
- Mark (9/5): A small, well managed B & B with a great location that makes you feel at home - B & B Arte e Musei is a small family run B & B very close to the National Archeology Museum of Naples and within an easy walk of two metro stations. The hosts went way out of their way to make sure that I found my way to and into the building and that my needs were met. A special touch was a fresh-made Neapolitan pastry to greet me as I returned each day from sightseeing. The location is just off the Via Toledo, and Spacca Napoli and the Spanish Quarter are within easy walking distance. My single room faced the airshaft in the building, so there was not even a hint of traffic noise, a real luxury in Naples. I took my breakfast at a small local coffee shop just around the corner which added to my feeling of having a truly authentic Neapolitan experience. It will be my first choice of a place to stay when I return to Naples. Many thanks to Federica and Ivan! Nothing comes to mind.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (9/5): great location and would definitely stay again. Very helpful hosts. - the location was excellent, close to all areas and transport and great host. We were made to feel very welcome. Nothing, everything was great.

- Moira (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Two very good hosts who are both very helpful, very comfortable bed, good location, the room I stayed in kept out 90% of the outside noises, large bathroom which was very clean. I 100% recommend this B&B!
- Christine (10/5): Fantastic! - We had a great stay! Federica was a wonderful host with so many tips on what to do and where to eat. The room was exceptionally clean and comfy. I enjoyed all the flowers on the balcony, the artworks and the overall attention to detail. Breakfast was included at a little coffee place nearby and there were biscuits, juices, coffee, tea, etc. available in the common area. Also the B&B was well located next to the MANN, close to metro line 1 and about a 10 min walk to the historic centre. The B&B is situated next to a busy road, if you are a light sleeper (I am), bring some earplugs and you'll have a good night's rest!
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corinne (8/5): Very good - I asked Frederica to help me book a reservation for dinner and she went out of her way to get me a reservation. This was really very nice of her. My own toilet and bath is outside of the room and at night it was cold to use the toilet to pee. I came in March. It has heated shower - no issue about taking a shower.
- David (10/5): Great place to stay in Naples, definetly recommand it. - Very clean room and spacious, very friendly hosts and good location being close to underground and to Via Toledo. Didn't find notghing wrong here.
- Irene (10/5): Don't miss staying here while in Naples. - The host and hostess were very welcoming and generous with their time in orienting us to the main sites of Naples, providing us with maps, etc. The B&B was lovely, with art and books everywhere. There were snacks, tea and coffee available. Our room was perfect! All in all, we loved our stay at Arte e Musei. Everything was lovely.

- Laurent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): This is a nice B&B near the Museum. - This is a very nice B&B a few blocks from the Museum. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was great, although the shower is tiny. The owners/hosts were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was the best we experienced on this trip. The center of Naples is loud but our room was quiet. We had a small balcony. There are good restaurants within walking distance and both Metro lines are nearby. We enjoyed our stay very much.
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly & very helpful , superb gluten free breakfast , charming hosts , l would recommend to anyone. Grazie Ivan & Federica.
- Simon (10/5): Great B&B in excellent location - A charming apartment i within an old building, in a very good location (5 minute walk to Museo/Cavour Metro or Piazza Dante). The room was beautiful and clean with excellent facilities. The breakfast was good. Close to historical places and museums. A little noisy from street traffic but after all it is central Naples.
- Marsha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hugo (10/5): This B&B is a relaxing oasis in the vibrant, buzzing city of Naples! - We loved our stay at B&B Arte e Musei!
Our room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and equipped with everything you could need for a city break!
Ivan and Federica are wonderful hosts and provided us with lots of useful information for navigating Naples’ different areas and sites. They were friendly, organised, helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed (which included laying on a wonderful breakfast each morning with fruit, pastries, toast and much more)!
The location is very close the the historic centre of Naples and across the road from the impressive and must-see National Archeological Museum of Naples! Nothing!
