Guest Reviews
Bedankt Pad!
- Claire (9/5): - Absolutely gorgeous tree house right in the jungle, short walk up into the village where theres loads of places to eat and fun bars. We were travelling with our kids aged 14 and 11, they loved it! For their first experience of jungle this was perfect.
The water wasn't high enough for tubing but that would've been great fun, we did an overnight tour to the lake (Although not through the hotel) which is an absolute must - it was incredible.
The hotel restaurant was also really nice, super chilled bar up the top where the monkeys come and steal the garnishes from your drinks!
Highly recommend 👌 For some reason it wasn't very easy to get our wet towels collected and toilet bin emptied (you can't flush toilet paper) , noone came to tidy up the room like we have had in other places. But once I'd asked at reception they sent someone over
- Benjamin (9/5): -
- Alex (10/5): Loved our stay at our jungle house. Couldn’t recommend more highly. - Was a gorgeous location away from the town. Felt very secluded. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Food and drinks at the restaurant and bar were also fantastic. Nothings
- Gavin (9/5): Relaxed while watching the monkeys play - The setting was lovely, as was the staff who were very helpful. The hotels choices of excursions were good and reasonably priced. The restaurant was also good and well priced and it was good to watch the monkeys play in the trees as we had our dinner.
- szerwony (10/5): -
- Melissa (9/5): A unique experience that will not be forgotten - We loved the fantastic location of Our Jungle House.
Tucked away, it felt peaceful and immersive, yet only a short 15 min walk into Khao Sok.
Our treehouse was unique, comfortable and very clean....and the mosquito nets were great to sleep under after a big day of adventuring. Listening to the sounds of the jungle throughout the night was an unforgettable experience.
Having a river so close to cool off after a hot day was an added benefit. And was so pretty.
The restaurant and bar were wonderful to have if you didn't feel like a walk into the village. Especially when the monkeys were playing out the front and entertaining everyone. The misinformation given by the staff.
Be aware that there are many added fees to all the tours that are not explained . It’s a good idea to keep a few hundred baht for all of the added costs.
- Mikhail (10/5): -
- Markus (9/5): -
- Márk (9/5): Jungle experience - You feel like you are in the jungle surrounded by monkeys. Also very friendly staff and nice restaurant and bar. We didn't have hot water in the room (even though the heater was there and on) and the way back from the village through the jungle can be a little bit scary in the dark
Ravie ! Merci !!! Les enfants sont comme des fous ! Rien tout est bien :)
- Camille (2/5): This felt like a tourist trap, way too expensive and not friendly - The restaurant was very nice and fairly priced I did the overnight floating bungalow excursion and I feel completely ripped off. It was far too expensive for what we got, they made us change rooms half way through the night, the safari had very little wildlife, the locals working on the bungalow village were rude and condescending - they did not even try to translate or help the guests
- Luca (8/5): - Friendly & helpful staff!
Great location among the jungle!
Beware the houses have ‘openings’ hence insects can occasionally come inside. Moskito net around beds.
Restaurant food is nice. Lack of bottled still water when eating at restaurant. Offering filtered water but we still got slightly sick, would’ve preferred bottled.
We only had cold water showers during our 3 nights as the ‘heater’ wasn’t working. Would also be nice to have an explanation on how the heater works as it’s not straightforward.
- Rohit (10/5): - Great place feels like you are staying in the jungle.
Highly recommend
- Desi (9/5): - We stayed one night in this hotel. The room is fully open to the outdoors. It was a great experience sleeping under a mosquito net. You get to experience the jungle noises during the night and in the morning.
We travelled during fairly extreme heat so having a room without air conditioning could be tough for some. We showered before bed to cool down and it did cool down with the fan that was at foot of the bed. We had no issues with bugs. It was great seeing all the wildlife around the property. Monkeys, lizards and different bugs. The noises in the morning were wonderful. This may not be a hotel for everyone but if you want to get closer to nature without the hardships of camping and roughing it this is a great place to stay.
- Fiona (10/5): Welcomed to the jungle by new friends. - Everything. You truly feel part of the jungle, it’s a humbling experience and my hat off to those who constructed the accommodation in such a respectful way to nature. I must also comment on the exceptional restaurant staff, they were so welcoming and kind, remembered your preferences and made you feel as though you were a guest in their home. Endlessly grateful for this experience. 10/10 I went when it is especially hot and sticky, so if that’s not your bag, head there in cooler months than May. But don’t not go. Always go! Definitely go!
- Anna (5/5): Average - Its nice set up in the jungle but far away from everything We did not feel welcome, people working there are not really smiling or helpfull. Every request is an issue
- Julie (10/5): - We loved how close it was to nature. If you don’t like little critters like geckos and frogs then this may not be the place for you. The front desk was very helpful and kind. The activities we did were well organized and amazing!
- Marco (9/5): -
- Rabani (8/5): Super mooi en hele leuke tochten gedaan. - De locatie was top. Super aardig personeel.
- Jaya (3/5): -
- Agnieszka (9/5): - super nice place with a jungle vibe, a bit remote from the main village. Very nice stuff, good food. Not for people who are fans of nature and the sound of nature, animals and a bit of humidity in the rooms (nothing too disturbing)
Alles ok.
- Lena (10/5): -
- Sherrie (9/5): Beautiful location and extremely helpful staff - The location!!!
- Guenaelle (10/5): Fabuleux.
- Patrice (9/5): -
- Stefan (10/5): - Omgivande natur
- Werner (10/5): -
- Jordi (8/5): -
- Edna (10/5): A trully magical place. - Everything. We had an amazing 3 days stay. We loved thw jungle feel, the jungle noises and creepy crawlies.
We love the way the mosquito net was set up. The reading lights were great. Well thought of.
The bathroom is nicely laid out
The food in the restaurant was great. We also like the relaxing area upstairs. We moved to the sunset house for 1 night and we were woken up around 6 AM because the whole house was swaying. We thought there was earthquake.
Could it be because of the height of the house?
Noone from reception seem to know.
- Marjolein (8/5): Into the jungle letterlijk! Wauw!
- Jana (10/5): - The location in the jungle and the treehouse were amazing! Staff is very friendly, they can help you out with activities and transportation to other destinations in Thailand
- heyzeus_1 (6/5): Definitely not my favourite hotel - We were quite disappointed with the hotel but we enjoyed the excursions.
The hotel was disappointing because the rooms were not enclosed, so all bugs can go into your room. If the rooms were enclosed it would make them so much nicer to stay in. There are mosquito nets in the rooms but it would be much more ideal if there was nets and an enclosed room. My son was almost stung by a hornet in the room. We knew before we stayed we would be close to nature but that was too close.
The rooms are too hot, there is a fan provided but when you have the mosquito net around the bed you can’t feel the fan.
The food at the hotel wasn’t the best and there wasn’t much choice. You have to order breakfast the night before, it’s not one of those all you eat buffet style breakfasts.
The hotel did not give us enough notice about what to expect in the excursions. For example, we chose the elephant experience, which we assumed was just feeding elephants. However it was feeding and bathing elephants, we were only told an hour before we went so didn’t have enough time to prepare.
The hotel is far away from the main town.
We booked one their packages so it includes the hotel, food and excursions (except the elephant sanctuary which we had to pay extra for). It wasn’t very good value for money.
We really enjoyed the canoeing and day out on the lake.
- roberttC429NY (8/5): Jungle stay - Was a different experience staying here.
A warm welcome as ever. Lodge was a decent size. Enjoyed my evening meal and pre ordered breakfast. Wi fi only by reception. 15 minutes walk to centre.
- David (8/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great accommidation, has everything you need. Short walk to the main town but the resturant and bar on site are good too.
- Z2282LMjohanj (10/5): Amazing scenery and great personal! - I booked at Our Jungle House through Go Beyond Thailand.
Go Beyond disapointed us a lot, so we do not recommend them.
But throughout Our Jungle House was a super nice place to be. The scenery was amazing and it was so nice falling asleep listening to the jungle at night.
Our Jungle House personal also helped us with the problems that arised because os Go Beyond, which helped us having a better trip! We are very grateful for the nice workers at Our Jungle House.
Best regards
Johan and Freja
- benediktet2013 (10/5): Perfect experience - It was some very lovely days- an experience that we all enjoyed. Will recommend everybody to go there- even our youngest on 4 loved it.
- rachelwH3797WL (10/5): Would recommend to anyone who can climb stairs to luxury tree house rooms & loves nature. They also have some bungalows. - Fabulous place & fabulous staff! Guests need to beware of mafia monkeys & persistent mosquitoes at dusk. Dining room experience fabulous even when frantically busy! Many people rush in & put of the resort but it is very pleasant to slow down & enjoy the place! Due to its location in the jungle, on the river & opposite limestone cliffs, the temps here are cooler than elsewhere in the neighborhood!
- 781iaing (10/5): Family friendly and rustic, with superb staff - The resort is great for families with children, based on the other guests we saw. Accommodations are in cabins with ensuite toilets/showers; many are "tree houses" - NOT handicapped-accessible! - with staircases. A la carte meals are available in the camp restaurant and are varied and tasty. Front desk staff and activities desk staff can arrange anything.
The staff are amazing! Come here just for the great staff, who are friendly, well-informed, and eager to meet your needs and answer your questions. This is the best group of people to represent Thailand to the outside world.
The resort is by the side of the river, at the foot of awesome limestone cliffs. The resort is in the jungle! Consequently there are lots of animal noises at night. There are plenty of mosquitos from dusk to dawn. There are crafty monkeys in the daytime, who will steal anything they can grasp that might contain food. The river and the cliffs make the resort site cooler than the surrounding region - quite chilly in early morning in January.
This is a great experience! Experts recommend 2-4 nights.
- pyton97 (10/5): - Klimat i ludzie
- issa81 (8/5): Nice nature retreat reception staff can be improved - This is a bunch of bungalows dispersed in a jungle setup around a 20 minute walk to the Khaosok town where the restaurants and action is. So bear in mind it’s nowhere near the Khao Sok national park where most real experiences (lake and jungle) take place. (About an hour away).
What I liked:
1- The bungalows are well constructed and clean. Yes, they are basic, but relatively spacious, nicely set in nature, yet quite clean. Bear in mind they are open to the outside through the higher regions but have wooden bars to Keep the big animals away. So expect insects, frogs, moths, and butterflies. (I am mentioning the ones we personally encountered).
2- The restaurant’s food and staff were great and reasonably priced. We did end up eating at it every meal while being there. The place is far from other restaurants around, so you kind of find yourself forced to try, so fortunately it was good, and there is a bar on the second floor that opens up at 4 pm which was nice too. The match and honey drink was 2 for 1 and very refreshing.
3- They do help you book tours and taxis. Prices are on the upper end as well, but the also know your are stuck.
What I didn’t like:
1- lighting inside the rooms is barely enough to see around at night. It can be enhanced by a central light ontop.
2- No fridge or AC in the bungalow. There are two big ceiling fans that did the job partially. A small mini fridge to have cold water would have been a great addition.
3- reception and restaurant closed at 8:30 pm. Getting any sort of help from staff after this time becomes very difficult. The bar stays up until 10 pm, but then the hole place goes into darkness.
4- Reception employees are overwhelmed, you almost always are never served by the same person for the duration of your query. Someone starts with you then gets busy and hands you over to another person where you have to repeat the request and start from scratch etc
The lady denied us a 12 pm checkout wanting us to leave at 11 am claiming another guest was checking in at 12 while their policy clearly stated a 2 pm checking, so there was no transparency in how they dealt with checkout.
Billing system is that you pay everything at the end, this encourages you spend comfortably at their hotel, but they were honest and accurate with the billing.
Beware have enough bahts on you to pay, there only once exchange kiosk in town and they rip you off with an exchange rate of 2600 for 100$. If you pay them directly by card they charge you 3% extra on your bill.
- Fokke (9/5): -
- Matthias (10/5): - Great stay in the forest with helpful staff and great tours to the national park.
Sustainability and help for the community are clearly in focus. -

- sherin (8/5): It was nice - I liked the location Maybe the restaurant was small
- Karen (7/5): Unique worth going for a one off experience - Unique and something you don’t often experience . Near to the town is a bonus to go out as is access to the sister camp. Breakfast and diner was very good in terms of quality and price . You will get bitten alot sadly so be prepared. It’s open to the elements so sleeping through the rain , noise and heat was difficult
- janesmith231 (10/5): Excellent stay at Our Jungle House - but be weary of overnight stays on the lake - My boyfriend and I stayed in Khao Sok via Our Jungle House. We booked the adventure package which was 4 days / 3 nights - we stayed the first two nights in the Nature House, and the third night in a bungalow over the water on the lake.
We loved our stay at OJH. The staff were all so kind and helpful, the food was great (you could choose what you wanted for breakfast and dinner from a set menu, which had both western and Asian options), our room was lovely and we really enjoyed our excursions. The activities and excursions were well organised and we received a detailed itinerary upon arrival. It’s worth noting that the rooms do not have air conditioning and you have to sleep under a mosquito net with the sounds of the jungle - you do get used to this and I actually slept really well. We also booked our private transfers to and from the national park via OJH and these were on time and comfortable.
The only thing we were disappointed by was the quality of the experience the third night on the lake. We upgraded from the basic tour to the explorer tour, which was in a smaller group, avoided crowds and included ‘superior accommodation’, aka a private bathroom. I will say that the activities we did as part of this were great, with a shout out to our guide, Chai, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely enjoyed being in a smaller group and our morning kayak. However, we had higher expectations for the room itself and it did not feel like a ‘superior’ experience - the room and bathroom were below the standard we would expect. Had we seen photos of the interior of the room itself beforehand, I would have liked the option to pay for nicer accommodation - it was 2 mattresses on the floor and a very basic bathroom with no hot water. If you’re used to staying in hostels, you probably won’t mind it, but if you are used to staying in hotels, then you might not find it very comfortable. We also did not like that when at the lake, there was no choice in what food you were given. It’s definitely worth visiting the lake as the scenery is beautiful and we did enjoy being able to kayak directly from our room.
I would recommend the experiences and packages at OJH and we did have a fantastic time overall. I would just be cautious of what lake experience you are booking and I would urge OJH to be more transparent about the quality of the accommodation on the lake.

- Tomasz Stanclik (10/5): - Super przeżycie, pierwszy raz spaliśmy w takich okolicznościach przyrody. Można poczuć bliskość dżungli i jej mieszkańców.

- U4573XEvictoriaw (10/5): An unforgettable Christmas - Staying in a jungle tree house on Christmas Eve and on a floating bungalow for Christmas Day has been the highlight of our travels. The most beautiful surroundings, the loveliest staff and the greatest experience. We could not have asked for a better time. Staff went the extra mile to make Christmas special and the entertainment was great (local children dancing, manora dance and our host, Don). They also accommodated to my vegan dietary requirements and the food was delicious. We booked a massage on the day we arrived, which was 10/10. It was so nice to hear about what they do for the local community as well.
We booked the explorer package which was fantastic! A big shout out to our tour guide (T.rex), We just had the best time. It doesn’t get much better than starting Christmas morning off with a hike through the jungle!
I would recommend this to everyone. We would love to return one day and hopefully with family or friends. Thank you again Our Jungle House. What a special place and will be something we always remember.

- marcopP2717RI (10/5): A magical Christmas experience. - Our Jungle House gave us a magical Christmas experience we will never forget. The kindness of the staff, the beauty of the treehouses, and the feeling of being truly cared for made our stay exceptional. They even helped us celebrate our daughter’s birthday in the sweetest way, which meant the world to us.
We enjoyed amazing activities, met wonderful people from around the globe, and learned about their inspiring support for local children. It was a heartfelt, unique stay surrounded by nature and warmth. We hope to return one day — thank you for making our holiday so special! ❤️🌿✨

- Jan (10/5): Bardzo ciekawe miejsce - Wszystko dobrze. czyste pokoje, super widoki i ciekawe miejsce trzeba uważać na małpy, które potrafią się pojawić znikąd. Jest trochę oddalone od centrum
- Irina (2/5): - Nature around To be honest, our stay was disappointing.
The restaurant staff were rude and visibly unhappy, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. During meals, monkeys repeatedly came into the restaurant area and stole food directly from guests’ tables. The hotel was unable to provide any staff member or solution to manage the situation, which raises serious concerns about guest safety and hygiene. Monkey stepped on my omelette and when i asked to change it, the staff was unhappy with my request.
After just one night at the hotel, both my son and I developed severe itching. Later, we realised that we had been bitten by bedbugs during the night. The itching lasted for over a week, which was very distressing.
In addition, we did not receive the accommodation we booked. I had reserved a two-storey house, but upon arrival we were given a different house with two separate rooms. When I asked about this, I was simply told that the room I booked was occupied by other guests.
Overall, the experience did not meet basic hospitality standards, and I would not recommend this hotel.

- zinzanar (2/5): WARNING: Safety issue and "Taxi Mafia" involvement - We had a terrifying experience at this hotel that we must warn other travelers about. After we refused their overpriced hotel taxi three times, we booked a Grab. The reception staff pressured us into showing them our private Grab booking on our phone – a massive breach of privacy.
10 minutes later, when our Grab arrived, we were blocked at the hotel exit by a group of aggressive men (the local taxi mafia) who threatened our driver. It was clear they had been called by the hotel staff. We felt unsafe and intimidated.
The hotel is actively working with people who harass tourists and independent drivers. Please avoid this place if you value your safety and freedom of choice. This is not how guests should be treated.

- mattwM2828OO (10/5): I would really recommend Our Jungle House. A very premium service from start to finish. - If you’re looking to stay in Khoa Sok i would really recommend you choose to stay at Our Jungle House. The level of service was premium from start to finish. The food & drink is amazing and very hygienic. Toilet facilities were some of the best I've seen around Thailand. The staff are extremely accommodating and really went the extra mile helping me arrange transfers to my next place. We had an amazing tour guide called Paul who took us to the water bungalows on the lake and the entire experience was brilliant. The treehouse rooms were spot on, very clean and the staff would even carry your bags to the room which was very appreciated. The location of the hotel is beautiful with a private beach right outside some of the rooms. The staff even provided free transfers to and from the main road if required.
Some of the best food I had during my Thailand trip. I would recommend their khao soi and iced lattè!

- steffideprince (10/5): Amazing, magical stay! - We booked the 4 days package with overnight stay at the lake and this experience was one of the highlights of our Thailand trip. The organisation, the accomodations, the activities, the people,... I give it al 11 out of 10! I will never forget how it feels to sleep in the jungle, to get close to an elephant, to stay on a rafthouse on the most beautiful lake I have ever seen.... overall one of the best travel experiences I have ever had!
- Violetta (10/5): - The place, the nature surrounding it is stunning, the stuff is welcoming.
