Une vue spectaculaire de notre logement avec la visite de paons, de perroquets, de canard , sans compter tous les colibris qui venaient s’appreuver directement sur notre galerie. La nourriture est excellente !! Le personnel est accueillant et chaleureux. Un vrai petit coin de paradis . A noter que c’est relativement profond en montagne, prévoir un transport en 4x4 à l’entrée du village de Minca (entre 35-40$/ cad)

Ideal place for nature lovers with beautiful views from the balcony. It’s up in the mountains, so of course transportation/walking in the city is always necessary.

Godefroy (6/5): C’est d’autant plus regrettable que le lieu a un potentiel exceptionnel. Avec une information honnête sur l’accès, une p - Le cadre est effectivement superbe : chambre spacieuse et confortable, vue magnifique, proximité immédiate des cascades. La cuisine est de bonne qualité et le personnel en salle est professionnel et attentif. Malheureusement, l’expérience globale a été fortement entachée par de sérieux problèmes d’information et de relation client. Avant notre arrivée, il nous a été indiqué que l’accès à l’hôtel nécessitait un 4x4 type SUV, ce qui est faux. La piste est extrêmement difficile, accidentée et nécessite un véhicule très haut type Jeep. Notre SUV a patiné et a frotté à de nombreux endroits sous la caisse, générant un stress important et des inquiétudes légitimes concernant l’état du véhicule. Une fois arrivés péniblement à l’hôtel, nous avons alerté le responsable sur les risques de cette piste, et l’incohérence entre la description de Booking et la réalité du terrain. Nous lui avons également souligné que nous avions payé un coût supplémentaire substantiel pour louer un 4x4 au lieu d’une voiture classique, et lui avons fait part de notre état de stress et de notre totale incompréhension par rapport aux informations envoyées. D’ailleurs, aucune autre voiture de client n’était garée dans le parking de l’hôtel : tous avaient choisis de rester dans la ville la plus proche (Minca) et de monter en jeep-taxi. Le responsable n’a manifesté aucune compassion ni compréhension, et s’est borné à nous inviter à nous « calmer », sans rien dire de plus. Son attitude distante, sans aucune empathie et peu soucieuse de notre situation nous a profondément déçus. Autre point préoccupant : la présence d’animaux présentée sous un angle “rescue”. Le concept manque de transparence. Si certains animaux semblent évoluer dans un environnement adapté, les conditions de détention d’autres (notamment les singes et la biche, enfermés dans des enclos très petits) nous ont semblé très limitées en espace. Il nous a été indiqué que les singes-araignée leur avaient été confiés car ils n’étaient pas adaptés à l’environnement de la Sierra Nevada, quid d’un programme pour les envoyer vers un habitat plus adapté plutot que de les garder dans une cage si petite pour toujours ?

De omgeving is ongelofelijk mooi, de kamers hebben lekkere bedden, zijn mooi ingericht, er is een superlekker ontbijt, en er werken ongelofelijk lieve en behulpzame mensen. Anne (10/5): EXCEPTIONNEL - Reserva Natural Tierra Adentro est un lieu magique. L’emplacement sur les hauteurs de Minka, à proximité des cascades et du sommet Pinus, avec une vue sur les montagnes est un havre de paix, propice à la connection avec la nature, au lâcher prise et à la méditation. La terrasse de notre chambre donnait sur les cascades et la montagne, visitée par les colibris et les perroquets. Un pur bonheur. Mais ce lieu est rendu encore plus fabuleux grâce à la qualité de l’accueil chaleureux, attentionné et adorable de l’équipe encadrante en particulier Daniel et celle du restaurant. De tout cœur j’espère avoir l’occasion de revenir me ressourcer et être dorlotée comme je l’ai été. Merci ♥️

Martin (9/5): Top-Erholung im Dschungel über Minca. - Ein paradiesischer Ort, an dem einem die Kolibris um die Ohren fliegen. Noch zwei Kurven oberhalb der Minca-Wasserfälle ist man weit weg vom lärmigen Treiben in Minca (etwas abenteuerlich ist der Hinweg, den wir mit Off-road-Motorrädern gemacht haben). Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam.

Overall it was an incredible experience. The ONLY thing I would recommend is the food. The vegetables are always the same for each meal, so a lot of the food can have similar tastes. Voor de prijs hadden we iets meer luxe verwacht. We hebben geen een keer warm water gehad en dat werd ook niet opgelost. De kamer is vrij donker.

Adèle (10/5): We wished we could have stayed longer ! - We only spent one night at Tierra Adentro, and it was worth it. We walked from Minka to the hotel which is feasible if you don’t have too much luggage, it’s a climb up along the river and you’ll see lots of birds. The staff at the hotel was welcoming, the room was nice and clean and we had a breathtaking view over the mountains. We did a birdwatching tour in the early morning with a great guide. There are plenty of items on the menu and the food was nice, we really enjoyed the breakfast. It was very quiet and there were so many hummingbirds everywhere, we loved it.

I numerosi animali che si trovano nella Riserva. Il personale sempre disponibile e gentile. La vista mozzafiato della camera sulla cascata. La vista incredibile dalla doccia. La vicinanza alla Cascata, l'accesso al ruscello e le passeggiate che si possono fare dalla Riserva. Un posto incredibile Ovviamente da considerare che la strada per arrivare è tutta sterrata e bisogna per forza prendere taxi 4x4 o mototaxi (il che rende gli spostamenti da e per Minca costosi) Tutto perfetto, uniche cose che secondo me possono essere migliorate: -la cucina (mi aspettavo qualcosa di più tipico per i pranzi e le cene) -l'ultimo giorno abbiamo trovato nella stanza dei piccoli escrementi di qualche animaletto, ma niente di preoccupante

Frédérick (9/5): - Le site est exceptionnel et les chambres sont spacieuses, belles et fonctionnelles. Il y a des tonnes d’oiseaux à observer. Le personnel est très aimable. La cascade de marinka se trouve à quelques minutes à pied. C’est un endroit parfait pour relaxer. Le restaurant sur place est très ordinaire, surtout pour le prix. Nous avons eu une panne d’électricité majeure de presque une journée complète. Ce n’est pas la faute de l’hôtel mais bon à savoir car il semble que cela soit assez fréquent. Cela n’a pas tant affecté notre séjour.

heathersU9339QG (10/5): Unforgettable experience in the rainforest - We loved our stay at Tierra Adentro! The rooms were very comfortable with amazing views. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff warm and welcoming. We came with kids as young as 6 and a grandparent who is 78 and we all enjoyed it. There is a small river on the property that was fun to explore. The Marinka waterfalls are only a short 10 min walk down the dirt road (grandma skipped that excursion!). We stayed there for a good 4 hours - nice restaurant too which helped keep us dry during a long downpour. There is a trail just down the road from the hotel to hike up to the Los Pinos Mirador. The hotel doubles as a rescue for trafficked animals - with the goal of rehabilitation and to release animals back to their native habitat often in other countries (eg Spider Monkeys to Brazil) . The person commenting on animal cages must have missed that important information. The hotel is a 30 min 4x4 ride from Minca on a very rough road. You are literally staying in the rain forest! There are bugs (jejen & mosquitos) and birds and dirt and mud and rain and storms and power outages and unreliable Internet - this is the beauty of the experience. If you don't like rustic, stay in Santa Marta. We spent a few hours enjoying Minca on the way in and on the way out from Tierra Adentro. I'm really glad we stayed the 3 nights at Tierra Adentro because it was an unforgettable experience.
Fuchs (8/5): - Excelente Lage, traumhafter Blick ,sehr sehr schönes Ansamble. Perfekt gepflegter Garten. Schöner geht es kaum Bischen hellhörig da Doppelbungalow. Personal wenig empathisch - bis auf die Gärtner. Essen einfach schlecht. Da keine andere Alternative Möglichkeit zur Verköstigung besteht - war es für uns nach 3 Tagen ein echtes Problem. Leider - da alles Andere ganz wunderbar war.

A beautiful location and a must for birdwatchers. The nearby waterfall, easily walkable, was quite an experience.

Pure peace and quiet. This was a pricey hotel option that is a little tough to get to, but overall worth the added cost and challenging terrain.

The staff are helpful, and though rooms could be a bit more comfy with softer beds and doors that are easier to use, it was so worth it. There was quite a few things on the menu not in stock but what we could get was great.

Except if you want to walk all the way up from Minca (1h minimum) or have your own 4x4 to drive up, you must take a 4x4 taxi that costs 100000 COP (about 25€). It seemed very pricey to us.
Krystian (8/5): One of the most magical experiences of my life! - The View from the room was incredible, it was like waking up in paradise, with the sounds of waterfalls and birds near by. The terrace was gorgeous! The Reserve itself was absolutely breathtaking, with peacocks and hummingbirds everywhere! Dinners felt like they were catered just for us with very fresh ingredients of what ever was in the kitchen, I think I had one of the best steaks. Staff was super friendly. The room itself was a little small with 2 single beds and not a lot of space to move around. Water never got hot. Getting here was a challenge and I wish we listened and got a 4x4 because the SUV was not the best choice.

Large window with good mosquito net, so the view was eqally good from inside the room! The restaurant has generous opening hours for such a small hotel, but the food (except from breakfast) was kind of uninspired and a little overpriced. I know - this is 30 min jeep drive from Minca, in the forest, and I don’t excpect fancy cuisine… but perhaps some garlic, chili pepper and a slice of lime…? The room smelled of damp which is understandable given the location. There was no fan but we asked for one, which improved it!

Autumn (10/5): Unforgettable place to unplug and immerse in the paradise of Colombia - This place is a wonderland for nature lovers and families. The staff (special shout out to Freddie & Himay) were world class and the property is so well managed. We stayed the King suite (#5) that overlooked the canyon and woke up every morning with our breath taken away. Hands down the most magical place we have ever stayed and the best value combined. Not to mention the incredible animal sanctuary on-site and the best waterfall in Minca only 10 minutes away by foot. The WiFi in the King suite required some patience. The WiFi was excellent at the restaurant however.

Did not realize you had to pay an extra 4x4 taxi to get up and down from Minca. No taxi can take you up the dirt road. Not easy to get back into town (Minca) for a visit. Once you are at the hotel, you stay there. We lost power almost the entire night. Did not have hot water at all. No water for a little while.

Doinita (10/5): What a beautiful place ! - Absolutely beautiful and lush grounds and surroundings! Being woke every day by hundred of hummingbirds was an experience! I had the biggest cottage in the hotel, very peaceful and private, with a wraparound balcony . Large room, free coffee, nice towels. Very quiet at night . The views were out of this world. The property offers free breakfast to order, and also lunch and dinner ( $) , plus free potable water. Those are important, as to go to Minca is s about $23 each way by jeep. The ground are beautiful and they have about 18 colourful and friendly macaws roaming around , plus a few other saved animals on site. MARINKA Waterfall is just 8 min down the hill (20,000 COP to get in , has a restaurant and nice suspended nets to enjoy the view of the waterfall. Water is cold, so bring a towel and a jersey with you. Recommendations: sheets need to be ironed. Need one dresser in room # 5. Staff needs to pay more attention to cleaning( especially the shower and the floors). Excellent customer service from Saidi, Jaime and John. To get here you need to get a moto or a jeep from Minca. I took the jeep ( 100,000 COP). When you leave, take your time. The jeep that the hotel requested for me was 50 minutes late. Wifi was also down. Also , order your UBER in Minca when you leave, so you can pay with a credit card. There are plenty waiting for you when you get off the jeep . The hotel will offer to reserve one, but is not cheaper than Uber and you need to have COP to pay.
Harpreet (9/5): Great stay, good location, amazing birdlife. - Amazing view, great breakfast, lots of birdwatching opportunities, friendly staff. Convenient location to Marinka waterfalls. The double bed was made from 2 twin beds, which meant the middle of the bed was a little hard and uncomfortable. The mosquito net in our room was too short too and left gaps and the bottom of the net, next to the mattress. It would be great if there could be some more vegan options on the menu or if the existing options had vegan protein available (e.g. lentils or chickpeas).

You will need to get a driver with a 4x4 to take you the few km’s as it is a very rough and bumpy road. It is well worth it though, as the property has amazing views, hiking trails, a restaurant with great food (which we struggled with for a lot of our trip in Colombia) and it is very close to the Marinka Waterfalls.

The food selection was a bit limited which was rough because the property is in the mountains and really feels dangerous to reach. Once we got there, we loved it which was great but didn’t want to leave simply because of the inconvenience and cost of getting to and back from town.

However the tour with the animals is explained as 120 minutes which is simply not possible. We had a weird animal coming from the ceiling and making noises, we couldn’t find out what it was which made the evening a bit uncomfortable.
