- Rafael (10/5): La comida no me gustó - El canal del river y las instalaciones La comida debería ser más variadas, no poner tantos dulces ni pan. La comida que ponen en el almuerzo no deberían ponerla de cena otra vez. Repiten lo mismo todos los días y siempre está fría con mal aspecto, como si tuvieran horas en ese lugar sin tomarse. No hay mariscos y la sopa que ponen dizque de pollo es malisima . Si cambian el formato de las comidas y su variedad más fuerte sería todo excelente. Ese es el único problema . Espero que cuando vuelva el año que viene con Dios delante la comida esté mejor.

If you’ve ever stayed at a truly good hotel, please don’t come here, because you’ll be extremely disappointed, just like we were. A terrible experience — absolutely awful. Thank God we stayed only two days, because spending more than 24 hours in this hotel feels impossible. The vibe is horrible. Everything starts at reception. The welcome was terrible, and the staff were rude and unpleasant. Nobody wants to help, nobody cares about guests. They are clearly used to large flows of package tourists from travel agencies, so they simply don’t care anymore. Nobody knows anything, nobody smiles, and everyone talks to you with arrogance. This place doesn’t feel like a five-star hotel — honestly, it barely feels like a three-star one. The food is absolutely terrible. I genuinely don’t understand how it’s possible to make food this bad in every single restaurant. The alcohol and drinks are awful too — basically sugar mixed with very low-quality alcohol. The wine is horrible and feels like the cheapest possible quality. It’s honestly a nightmare. The property itself is actually pretty and has potential, but the way the staff treat guests, the quality of the food, and the overall atmosphere completely ruin the experience. The staff desperately need proper training and motivation. We will never come back and would never recommend this place to anyone.

Las piscinas están en mal estado, lo cual generan heridas por la falta de baldosines en toda el área. El teatro por algún motivo no estaba funcionando y los espectáculos los hacían en el exterior del mismo y no habilitaban sillas para los espectadores. La nevera no funcionaba y la caja fuerte estaba sin batería. Se recibió mucho sargazo en los días de nuestra estadía y no lo limpiaban, se acumulaba día a día.

Special shout out to Reychel and Lisandra in the main dinning room. our concierge Franklyn Perez and my friend Jose Batista who tried to get us to go to time share meeting. The food was alright in the main dinning room there was a fair enough variety but was repetitive. We enjoyed Dolce Vita, Blue moon and Sakura restaurant their food were excellent. The chefs at Sakura were entertaining and they got the patrons involved. We did not enjoy route 66, neither the Mexican restaurant and the steak house was nothing to write home about. We went to celebrate my birthday and the room had a birthday banner which I thought was a nice gesture and at dinner on my birthday the staff at sakura instigated by Lisandra and Reychel sang happy birthday to me , it was very nice. The compound was well maintained and the boardwalk set up was impressive. The property is large and mostly clean, however, I think that it is not managed properly for an all inclusive. There seems to be a communication problem amongst staff because activities that were supposed to take place were cancelled and some staff were not aware. For example there was supposed to be a beach party and the train drivers were busy transporting people and did not know the party was not taking place anymore. Another important thing is most of the staff hardly know English so communicating was a bit of a problem for us. The alcoholic beverages were water down, And lastly from the time you enter the property, without even collecting your room keys they are hounding you down to get you to go to the lighthouse to try to sell timeshare and they will approach you daily to the point of bordering harrassment. For Christ sake we come to relax not to be pressured into buying time share. I understand you wanting to sell but it can be done differently. For example at check in they can ask if you are interesting in learning about time share and point you to the desk. Overall was not a bad stay , the property have potential if managed properly.

La comida un éxito tanto de los restaurantes como del bufete, nunca falto comida y todo muy variado y delicioso. Cabe destacar el servicio que nos ofreció Franklin como nuestro conserje que siempre estuvo atento a realizar las reservaciones en diferentes restaurantes para nosotros. Un éxito las bebidas tambien por la variedad de tragos y buena calidad de alcohol. 😁 Desde un inicio te ofrecen un regalo cuando vas por primera vez al hotel y te hacen una propuesta de sus paquetes de hoteles para comprar el privilege y eso te hace perder mucho tiempo, no solo 60 minutos como nos dijeron. El resto excelente y muy atentos.

Queremos destacar especialmente a nuestro conserje Carlos, que hizo un trabajo impecable. Siempre fue muy amable con nosotros y estuvo disponible en todo momento para resolver nuestras dudas. Gracias a su gestión, pudimos conseguir reservas en todos los restaurantes temáticos sin ningún problema. Las instalaciones estaban cuidadas, el ambiente era relajado y agradable y en general todo funcionó de manera muy organizada. Sin duda, es un lugar al que volveríamos y que recomendamos a quienes busquen una experiencia cómoda, bien atendida y sin preocupaciones en Punta Cana. En general todo fue muy bueno, aunque notamos que la limpieza de la habitación podría mejorar.

- Leonel (9/5): Muy buena estadía en un resort muy completo - Nuestra estadía en Ocean El Faro fue excelente en líneas generales. El hotel es muy lindo, con instalaciones bien cuidadas y espacios amplios. Las habitaciones son grandes, modernas y muy cómodas, lo que hace que la estadía sea aún más disfrutable. Un punto diferencial es el río lento, que realmente suma mucho frente a las piletas tradicionales y se disfruta muchísimo. La oferta gastronómica también es muy buena: tanto el buffet principal como los restaurantes temáticos ofrecen variedad y buena calidad. Además, la cafetería es un gran plus para cualquier momento del día. También destacamos que hay actividades durante todo el día y la noche, lo que hace que siempre haya opciones para entretenerse. El bowling y la sala de teatro donde se realizan shows suman mucho a la experiencia general del hotel. La playa está bien, aunque en algunos momentos puede ser difícil conseguir reposeras porque suelen estar ocupadas. De todas formas, recomiendo caminar un poco hacia la izquierda, donde hay una especie de piscina natural que resulta incluso mejor que la playa principal. El personal en general fue muy amable y atento. Queremos hacer un agradecimiento especial a José Miguel Jiménez, nuestro concierge, quien nos ayudó con las reservas de restaurantes y a resolver distintas situaciones durante la estadía. Como punto negativo, la experiencia con los “representantes” dentro del hotel no fue buena. En varias ocasiones intentan llevarte al faro con la promesa de un regalo, pero en realidad se trata de una encuesta seguida de un intento de venta de membresías de viajes. Además, suelen estar de forma constante en la entrada del buffet consultando si ya participaste o qué planes tenés, lo que puede resultar insistente e incómodo. Nuestra recomendación es evitar esta experiencia si no están interesados en ese tipo de propuestas.

The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. There were plenty of activities for everyone, the sea was absolutely beautiful, and the kids especially loved the lazy river. A very special thank you to Carlos Enrique, our guide, who went above and beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable. He handled all our reservations flawlessly and was always attentive and thoughtful. All in all, it was an unforgettable holiday – we would come back anytime!

That kind of personal attention really makes a difference. The amenities are excellent with a great variety of options for everyone, and the pools are amazing. The food was okay, nothing to complain about but there’s room for improvement there.

Eu recebia por ele todas as atividades do dia logo no café da manhã, então eu conseguia me programar para ir naquelas atividades que eu estava me propondo a participar. A comida muito deliciosa, os doces eram otimos e todos os funcionarios muito carinhosos conosco, onde se esforçavam em falar portugues. Recomendo muito esse hotel e gostaria de voltar!!!!! O ar condicionado do meu quarto nao estava funcionando muito bem.

- Idit (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated many positive aspects, however better communication and - We had a very enjoyable stay overall. One of the highlights was our excellent concierge Carlos Enrique, who went above and beyond to help us secure restaurant reservations at the exact times we wanted and assist with anything else we needed. The concierge service was a huge bonus, and we understood it was likely because we booked through Booking. The resort itself is pleasant, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was generally good. While the Italian restaurant wasn’t as much to our taste, we really enjoyed the hibachi and steakhouse restaurants. The buffet was consistently tasty, and we actually preferred eating there over the restaurants. Breakfast was well managed despite being busy, thanks to multiple omelet stations. Lunch and dinner at the buffet offered a wide variety of good options. The café served drinks throughout the day and also offered fruit, cookies, and small sandwiches in the afternoon. The only downside was that there was always a long line, which could easily be improved by adding another staff member. The ice cream stand opened at 5 PM and offered delicious treats, which was a nice touch. Our room, located on the third floor, was comfortable, and having an elevator in the building made access easy. We really enjoyed the lazy river, which takes about 6 minutes to complete a full loop. At times, we had to wait for tubes, so if you’re visiting during peak season, it might be worth bringing your own. Evenings were lively, with activities every night. On Oscar night, the resort organized a special viewing event with a large screen, themed décor, and seating, which was a fun and thoughtful experience. There was also bingo, entertainment, dancing, and a great atmosphere overall. It was clear that attention was given to the small details. Communication before arrival was very frustrating. We tried contacting the hotel two weeks in advance to reserve restaurant times, but our messages were ignored. We even reached out multiple times through Booking, but they were also unable to get a response via phone or email. Upon arrival, after a long and tiring flight, we had to wait over 30 minutes in line at reception. To make matters worse, staff were allowing guests who were not in line to to skip the line. When I raised the issue with a staff member, she approached the manager, but his response was dismissive and unhelpful. He did not address the situation or instruct the front desk staff to manage the line properly. This continued until I had to raise my voice and point out that people had been waiting patiently. Only then were we finally assisted. This was a very disappointing and rude way to welcome guests. Another issue was the lack of towels at the pool. We waited nearly two hours, repeatedly being told to come back in five minutes. There was also a group of very loud guests at the pool whose noise could be heard all the way to the rooms. Unfortunately, the staff did not intervene, and the disturbance continued for a long time. Additionally, there were not enough lounge chairs by the pool, and the sun umbrellas were very small - barely covering two chairs. Compared to other resorts in the area, where shade typically covers at least four chairs, this was quite insufficient.

El servicio al cliente de los restaurantes Blue Moon, Ruta 66, Dolce Vita, fue más que agradable, nos hicieron sentir super cómodos, la atención y los detalles, fue excelente. La habitación Swim Up nos acentó de maravilla e hizo que nuestra estadía fuera aún más emocionante. La limpieza de la habitación 1A y nuestro concierge estuvo atento a todos los detalles. Me encantó que tuviera un Coffee Shop y Heladería, la noche de teatro, el boliche, sin dudas una experiencia única. No nos gustó el servicio de Mike's Coffee, esperábamos más, pues es un lugar donde vamos a relajarnos, no esperamos mala cara ni atención de favor. A mí me encanta el café, pero el servicio recibido me decepciona un poco. En el Buffette, algunos camareros fueron pesados, pero la mayoría fueron excelentes. A la piscina le falta mantenimiento, pero estuvo bien.

- Patricia (8/5): Great resort - fun and relaxing (food and drinks secondary) - We loved our stay. The bedroom is very nice with a cute decor and the bed was so comfortable! The pools were generally clean, and even though we went during one of the busiest seasons (Easter break), there was enough room for everyone by the pools and bars. Extra points for the lazy river - so fun for kids and adults. The food was hit and miss, but as long as you were selective, you could eat really well. Bonus points for the steak house and the French restaurant. There are so many options for kids - we travelled with our 1.5-year-old, she loved it, and our vacation was so relaxing. Also, Mikes was the highlight with really good coffee. The overall atmosphere of the resort was vey friendly and family oriented. The food was hit and miss, but the vast variety meant you could find really good options. The beach was just ok, a bit rocky and very windy, but we still enjoyed (there is a really nice part similar to a bay that was good to go into the ocean). The only thing that it really missed was better wine options, and better drinks.

Instalaciones con falta de mantenimiento (Piscinas con los azulejos incompletos y sueltos) nos sorprendió mucho ese detalle. En nuestra terraza al costado en el parque habia una bolsa con una basura y en 9 días no la recogieron eso demuestra la falta de preocupación.
- Natalie (10/5): Always chose Ocean el Faro - I absolutely loved the resort and the fact that every detail was considered to ensure visitors have a good stay. I especially want to say I had two exceptional butlers Reinaldo and Franklin they made sure all my needs were cater to. Also booking tours was a breeze as representatives were located in the lobby area to assist with this process. Also in attending the Saona island ensure you get the President as your tour guide he was amazing. I especially did not like the Saona island tour as it was very disappointing. The toilets were very dirty and no drinks was available as advertised. This tour was not value for money and the advertisement was severely misleading.
- Juliana (7/5): Bel hôtel mais beaucoup de choses à revoir. - Le complexe est globalement tres joli, les piscines sont sympa. Le bar de l’accueil est exceptionnel. La chambre confortable vue sur piscine. C’est un grand complexe aéré mais pas trop grand non plus. Tout d’abord des l’arrivée à l’hôtel, le personnel très sympathique vient vous aborder pour vous « faire visiter » l’hôtel. En réalité c’est pour vous embarquer dans une entourloupe pour vous faire adhérer au service privilège de l’hôtel. Nous avons coupé court sauf qu’ils viennent vous chercher tous les matins vers 8h30 devant le restaurant du petit déjeuner, en vous suivant si vous ne répondez pas. Nous sommes vraiment en colère de partir en vacances et de nous faire harceler par le personnel de l’hôtel pour des offres qui nous intéressent pas en faisant croire à une visite sympathique. De plus, les piscines sont jolies mais beaucoup de carreaux sont cassés. Le personnel n’est pas vraiment sympathique ils ont tous l’air mécontents d’être là. Le service de chambre est assez catastrophique. L’heure de réfection des chambres est assez aléatoire, ils peuvent venir à 11h mais aussi à 15h30. Si vous êtes dans la chambre lors de leur passage ils ne font que le lit et plient les serviettes en faisant croire que c’est des serviettes propres.

- Eckhard (4/5): Would never go there again - The entrance hall was ok and the room had a nice size and the beds very comfortable. But unfortunately, there was not much that we liked. If you book this hotel in a packaged all inclusive deal and maybe pay 150 Euro per night, it might be ok. We travelled individually and booked via booking and paid 500 Euro per night. And for that it was horrible. The room was dirty, the air con was very loud, the room needed renovation. The beach area was not great and the restaurants there were exclusively for some kind of "privileged" customers. The drinks were horrible, cocktails with nothing fresh but only syrups, all in plastic cups, the food was average at best. No good quality. For a good coffee in its coffee shop, there was always at least 20 minutes waiting line. We were happy, when the 3 days were over.

They were all bad, especially Mexican restaurant, someone should tell them that’s not how you do Mexican dishes. Sakura was also bad, nothing to do with authentic Japanese hibachi in terms of service and seasoning.

Tiene muchos espacios y comodidades que hacen la diferencia. - Me gusto que el hotel se veia con mantenimiento activo y se veia cuidado. La verdad la pase muy bien, y todos los servicios que incluye lo vale el precio. Me gusto que mantenian actividades recreativas durante todo el dia Mmm nada en específico, lo que si noté es que algunos meseros no era tan amables como otros. Nada en un extremo pero algunos si se notaban con no muy buenas caras. Sin embargo, otros no alegran los dias cada vez que nos atendian

- Munawar (8/5): It was an excellent stay overall. Food select at the buffet was awesome. Drink selection was great - The buffet selection was awesome. The service there was not the greatest. Silverware, napkins were always late to the table. Coffee as well was late and cold The people working there were not motivated. On one occasion at breakfast there was not a single plate at any station. Service at the restaurants and buffet could be better. Restaurants menu and food was terrible. The French restaurant “blue moon” …there was hardly any French food on the menu. Ordered a NewYork strip and was very disappointed in the skinny well done steak that was served. Had reservation at the Italian restaurant. Had hardly any Italian food on the menu. Ordered a “filet mignon” it was tiny, skinny and well done even though i ordered medium. The house wine in there restaurants was the same as at the buffet. I would give a 21/2 stars to the French and Italian restaurents. Lousy food and below standard service. Did not like the scam that was going on with selling H 10 club membership. Saw the assigned butler only once. The assigned assistant was only interested in getting an appointment for the sales pitch of the H 10 club membership. Ocean Faro resort should be ashamed of allowing those scammers to sell the membership on their property

Quartos amplos e confortáveis, funcionários sempre prontos pra te atender, muita variedade de comida e bebida, espaço extremamente limpo, com ótimas piscinas e praia excelente para banho. Mas o que mais gostei foi do Concierge disponibilizado pelo booking. José Gimenez se tornou um amigo durante os dias que ficamos no resort. Muito prestativo, educado, parecia adivinhar o que queríamos. Um excelente profissional. Ele foi o maior diferencial para que nossos dias tenham sido perfeitos Não houve nada de que não gostamos.

- GUENTHER (9/5): EIN GUTER ORT UM EINE SCHÖNE FEIER ZU ORGANISIEREN! TOLLE LAGE - Wir haben eine Zeremonie zu unserem Hochzeitsjubiläum mit einer kleinen Gruppe gebucht. Hilda und Samuel vom Wedding Ceremony Team waren überaus hilfreich und bemüht. Die Zeremonie und alle damit verbundenen Services waren perfekt organisiert und wir waren 100%ig zufrieden. Herzlichen Dank dafür! Unser "Concierge" Jose war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Großteil der Mitarbeiter war freundlich und motiviert. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und qualitativ gut. Wir haben die Restaurants Margarita, Steakhaus, Sakura (alle sehr gut) und Dolce Vita (Durchschnitt) besucht. In unserem Paket waren ein "Romantic Dinner" am Leuchtturm sowie ein "Dinner on the Beach" inkludiert. Beides war perfekt organisiert und sowohl das Essen als auch der Service waren excellent! Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig aber leider riecht es teilweise etwas muffig (Es hat oft geregnet - eventuell hat es damit zu tun). Wir hatten in unserem Zimmer Schaben (Cucarachas) - nachdem wir es beim Reinigungspersonal gemeldet hatten, haben sich die Damen vom Zimmerservice darum gekümmert und auch am nächsten Tag nachgefragt. Sollte in einem Resort dieser Preisklasse nicht passieren - immerhin war man bemüht zu helfen. Nachdem sehr viel Personal beschäftigt ist sind natürlich auch zirka 20% nicht so freundlich. Einige waren sogar sehr unfreundlich (in den Restaurants) was sehr schade ist. Wir versuchen uns nur an die vielen sehr sympathischen Damen und Herren zu erinnern :-)
- Simona (1/5): Absolutely not a good experience. They frauded us and disappeared - The resort is nice and the restaurant (a part for the steak house) are good First of all you pay for the upgrade el beso to then not have space on the el beso beach because it is full of families and nobody checks effectively if the "adults only " rule is respected. Secondly, and most importantly, the first day they took us hostage for 3 hours trying to sell us a premium solution and, no matter the fact that we didn't even eat, they were not letting us leave. My husband was feeling sick and still they were insisting for us to stay. Then every morning they try to stop you to sell more things, excursions, premium services, even the spa personnel is outside trying to sell you services. This is all not very relaxing and on top of this, we were waiting for our uber, they told us that they would have given us the same price on their own taxi, 50 dollars. We jump in, feeling safe that this was the price agreed upon. We were also late cause they didn't come to pick our bags up until 20 minutes after the agreed time. We arrived at the airport and they take the card, I ask to see the amount and they said that it was 50 dollars and that I would have received the receipt via email. They left just after I received the notification finally via email, the price that they charged us was 75 dollars! I contacted our concierge and he said he would have handle it, Carlos. Then he gave me the phone number of the taxi driver. I contacted him too and he said the refund would have arrived in 3 business days. Guess what? It never arrived. I reached out to them so many times, they told me always "it will arrive" and "put me 5 stars on booking", but my money never came back and they even stopped replying to me. Last but not least, I speak spanish, we went to the shop of the resort to look for a hat. The staff kept on commenting the people entering by pointing them "take this one, take that one. No not that one, the fat one" and so on.

- LUIS ARGENIS (10/5): Relajante - Comida y habitaciones 2 o 3 personas de los camareros que te prestan más atención si sienten que les van a dejar propina pero las mayorías bien en general.
- Ayelen Corro (5/5): No lo recomiendo - La cama es lo único aceptable del lugar. Los shows del teatro y el club kids. Una decepción, se supone que tiene muchos restaurantes sin embargo, el Mercado es el único disponible para almorzar. Esta todo sucio los pisos, el personal ni te atiende, nos hemos ido varias veces sin siquiera ofrecernos de tomar. Los restaurantes para cenar tenes que reservar y nunca tienen lugar, y los que no precisan reserva tiene una fila interminable de espera. Muy mala predisposición de toodo el personal. Tiene Poquísimas reposeras tanto para la playa como para las piletas. La pileta de niños tiene todas la venecitas sueltas del piso. La playa que tiene salida el hotel toda sucia. Le quedan grandes las estrellas. No lo recomiendo.
- Leonel (2/5): Stay away. - Lobby and piano bar Rooms were dirty. Pillows had foul sour, cheesy smell. Sink leaked, no hot water in sink. Food was terrible: either bland or overly salty.
- Amanda (5/5): Mediokert hotell som inte uppfyller förväntningarna på en femstjärnig resort - Conciergen var tillmötesgående och hjälpte oss boka in restauranger. Bra att området har separerat restaurang och rum så det var lugnt och skönt på kvällarna. Väldigt fuktigt på rummet trots AC på. Har bott på andra hotell i DR som inte har detta problem. AC var dessutom satt till 23 grader men rumstemperatur varierade mellan 20 och 24. Det finns inte solstolar till alla. Det står tydligt att man inte får paxa solstolar men redan vid frukost är allt paxat. Vi framförde vårt klagomål till en anställd som sa att vi behöver paxa solstol för att få en…. Maten i buffén är väldigt medioker och specialrestaurangerna är inte bra. En kväll gick vi till buffén efter besök då vi inte kunde äta maten som serverades i teppanyaki. Ingen service från personalen på frukosten. Kaffe och vatten finns ingenstans att hämta själv utan personalen ska komma och servera detta - det gör dom inte. Framförde klagomål till personal som hänvisade till att vi kunde dricka kaffe i caféet istället.
