Ground floor hallway going to the family rooms, smells so bad, very musty like molds. The room and bathroom are clean but needs improvement especially giving extra toiletries in the room.

If it wasn't for the roosters in the vacant block next to the hotel, I would have given the hotel a five-star rating. This hotel has it all. It's modern and comfortable. The staff are very polite and helpful. Even the kitchen staff are helpful. The staff from the kitchen was happy to answer my mother's questions about the food. The food in the restaurant is nice, well portioned, and fairly priced. This hotel is in a good location, but it may be new as some of the taxi drivers had not heard of it. My family has stayed in this hotel twice, and both times, it was a positive experience. J7 provides a straightforward service without any hassles. The staff were happy to extend our stay each time our plans changed. 100% would be happy to take my family back to this hotel again.
- MALINEE (8/5): - It was nice and cozy. Interior is nice. I like the size of the room. However, the white towels provided were old and grayish. The room and beddings smells moldy. The front entrance was crowded with bystanders and vendors when we arrived in the evening, which makes it feel unsafe.

- jorezv (8/5): Great Convenience for a Short Business Stay - I found the location to be extremely convenient. The hotel is close to SM City Iloilo and the terminal, which made getting around very easy. Having a 7/11 nearby was also handy for quick snacks and essentials. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. However, I did notice that the soundproofing could be improved, as I could hear some noise from outside. Overall, it was a good choice for a quick stay with the convenience of nearby shops and transport.
- Travelling_Trapeze (10/5): A Brief Escape from Our Hectic Routines - My friends and I decided to escape our hectic and challenging lives by taking a trip to Iloilo. Finding a cozy yet affordable hotel was always at the top of our list. During our search online, we stumbled across a charming budget-friendly hotel located right in the city center. It was conveniently situated across the street from SM City Iloilo and just a short distance from a well-known large hotel. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive doorman and security guard, who greeted us with friendly smiles and assisted with our luggage. The hotel lobby was quaint and inviting, filled with soft lighting, and it exuded a pleasant fragrance. The front desk staff welcomed us with cheerful smiles, although they first apologized for the strong odor in the air caused by ongoing renovations in some parts of the hotel. They also informed us that we had received an upgrade to our room. Once we entered our room, which we accessed using our hotel card key, we were pleased to find it spacious enough for three people. It featured one queen-sized bed and a single bed. Being someone who pays close attention to bathrooms, I immediately inspected the restroom, which met my standards. They provided a good range of toiletries and dental supplies, along with an ample supply of towels. We did encounter a few minor issues, such as an unpleasant paint odor, a non-functioning pin light, an unplugged mini-fridge, and insufficient coffee supplies. However, I must commend the hotel staff for their rapid response; as soon as we contacted the front desk, they attended to our concerns promptly. The housekeeping team was also wonderfully attentive, fulfilling our many requests for toilet paper and extra towels. Overall, our experience was much more enjoyable than some of the reviews we had read from previous guests. The primary downsides included the weak water pressure when switched to hot and the dim lighting in both the room and bathroom. Additionally, the vanity area could have used more lighting, making it challenging to apply makeup—especially for women. On our last day, we finally decided to try the hotel restaurant, and we only wished we had explored it earlier. The breakfast dishes we ordered were delicious, and the portion sizes were quite reasonable for the price. The service from the staff here was also remarkable. In summary, I would give this hotel a perfect score of 10 for its outstanding service and staff, sparkling clean rooms, and delightful ambiance.

Some renovations were going on during my stay, so smells of paint and glues, etc. in the lobby. This room had a balcony and it was nice to relax with fresh air, However, confused roosters next door did not know when the sun was rising and were crowing through the day and night. Over all, it was a good experience, only minor disturbances.

One disadvantage is the water pressure from the shower, it goes from trickle for good flow at certain time of the day, though the faucet water was nice. - Maria A (10/5): A home away from home. - Service and accommodation was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel is very clean. The hotel staff were excellent. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip again. The location is central right across a major shopping mall. Transportation is right outside the hotel. The neighborhood although is an older part of the city it was still safe to walk.

- GP (6/5): - Our room (102) is the very first one on the ground floor, it s adjacent to an office room. The door that leads you to the hotel rooms on the ground floor (that says for hotel guests only) squeaks. So we definitely can hear the sound inside our room whenever that door was opened On the night we checked in, there was a staff christmas party, unfortunately for us, it was above our room. On our second night, we can hear the next room’s television and conversion because the door the connects both rooms has a gap from the floor of about half and inch. Lastly, there are at least two big rats running above our ceiling :-(. Someone should set up a rat trap There are no windows on the rooms to the right side of the hotel. Otherwise the rooms are clean and the reception has good enough space and our stay includes breakfast. I would have given 4.5 if not for noise. Thanks,
- 526kristianp (6/5): It was good - This hotel is very reasonably priced so I decided to take the Suite since it was a family trip. Overall, the hotel was good. Clean & well decorated. Cons: *Location is not very ideal, neighborhood looks a bit dangerous at night. Other hotels are better situated but, of course, are more expensive. *Breakfast could've been much, much better. My kids opted for fastfood on our 2nd morning. Pros: *Room & bathroom are spacious and clean. *Nicely decorated, very art deco-ish. *Staff are nice & courteous.

- 455glenng (10/5): Great Hotel within walking distance of SM City Mall - J7 Hotel is a short taxi ride from the Ferry Terminal and it is located within 2 blocks of the SM City Mall of Iloilo. Hotel at first seems in a strange place but once you walk in the door it is just really a beautiful hotel. From the guards at the door to the front desk to the people servicing the room we never found anyone who didn't smile, say good morning, and just plain friendly. Room was small but very comfortable and clean with coffee, water, shampoo, nice big towels, big flat screen TV with satellite service, comfortable bed and covers and pillow. Nice restaurant with free breakfast and other meals were very good...a little expensive but not too bad. The only bad things were there was a problem with the electronic door key and as for a room on the top floor because the floors between rooms are not concrete and quite thin because anyone above you can cause you to have a bad nights sleep if they are noisy. In our case there was a family with kids above us that was quite noisy but luckily things were quiet once they went to sleep. I would like to stress the staff at J7 was AMAZING!!!

- Divefoxx (10/5): Nice hotel - I have no complains about this hotel, everything was perfect, clean rooms, super friendly staff, good breakfast. Just 1 little complain. After I checked out at the morning 10AM, and I was standing on the street, the security waved the next taxi passing by to stop. Once in the taxi he ask the taxi driver to give him 20 Pesos. The taxi driver had no change so I gave 50 Pesos, my only change. I think that is not correct asking for money.

If you are on a business trip and would just like a clean room and place to stay for for the night this would suffice. near SM mall where you can have your lunch or dinner if you dont fancy the hotel menu. no hotel shuttle though. take the Point to point bus from airport to transport terminal and take a taxi to reach the hotel. (vice versa)

Overall it's as good as many 5 star hotels around Philippines. It's the ONLY hotel which i will stay in iloilo

- Minipin02 (8/5): More Than I Expected - This small hotel is very close to the SM mall and other malls in Mandurriao area, surprisingly very well maintained, clean and comfortable. It looks bad from the outside but certainly worth staying inside. The rooms are very clean, nice furnishings, quite big,clean bathroom, nice linens, good AC, free wifi in the rooms and restaurant/lobby. Which is good for business travelers so they can do their work anytime. For the price you pay, this is truly worth it. On top of this, they have a small restaurant on the ground floor that offers good meals, particularly very good pancit molo and other Ilongo specialties. The interior really matters than the architectural design, location wise, this is walking distance to a lot of restaurants and by far cheaper than all the other hotels I've been in Iloilo this month. Other than this, they have very nice staff to assist you anytime. The only negative comment I have is the bathroom heater and pillows that needs to be changed. Overall, this is 'value for money' and I will definitely come back for my next business trip.

- CzarEmmanuel (8/5): Nice new hotel, convenient location and modern facilities - We came across this hotel on line and seeing its location ... it's very near SM City Iloilo (Mandurriao), Plazuela Uno and Dos, etc. ... we decided to book a premier room in it. As we enter, we were struck by the lobby's very modern facilities. We were immediately welcomed with a refreshing cucumber cooler served in a test tube! That's something I've never tried before! The hotel's restaurant (called Aviary) is right across the reception desk. That's where they serve the complimentary breakfast. Then a little bit past the reception area there's a bar lounge, which you'll have to cross on your way to your room. The room we had was a premier room, located on the ground floor. It's quite spacious and had all the amenities I look for in a hotel room. It's air-conditioned; had a mini fridge and a safety box, a private rest / shower room with hot and cold water (but the hot water was not really that warm), a TV with cable channels, two queen size beds, toiletries, etc. Btw room price at this hotel ranges from 3,200 to 6,500 pesos a night. This hotel is very convenient located. Aside from its proximity to big malls and shopping centers, right across the street is a local restaurant that serves fresh seafood and a karaoke bar. Being located along one of the main roads in the city, it is very accessible by both public and private transportation. While there are limited parking slots in front of the hotel. just a few meters from the main entrance is a parking area for hotel guests.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - 1.Place not sound proof, hear all conversation between rooms, a person'cough, noises from the hallway. 2. Sewage system not good. Have bad smell coming from the bathroom. Have to close the bathroom door so add not to smell the bad odor.

- Ofelia (10/5): - J7 Hotel is a boutique hotel across SM City Iloilo. Nice interior design. Close to shops and nightlife. Manager Ernest and all the staff are very courteous and helpful. Will definitely choose this hotel again when we come back to Iloilo!

- rammerd (8/5): Hidden Gem - Great Location, Friendly and accommodating staff (hard to reach out to room service tried reaching front desk instead) but still very helpful to cater your needs, cozy bed , complete toiletries, clean Bathroom but a slight problem with the drain , 9/10 would recommend
- jerreklim (8/5): Great! - This hotel is great! Like a smaller version of the expensive hotels in the metro. Room is clean and cozy, aircon is good, bfast options too small though. Staff were very polite and over hall hotel experuence is great.
- aeonm385 (4/5): unused drainage problem - service was great, it was just that the bathroom had an awful smell. our whole stay was kind of unpleasant due to the "unused drainage" said the housekeeper. he tried to fix it but the smell didn't go away. the breakfast buffet was good though.
