- Carlos (10/5): - Bien!
- Miguel (10/5): - Great
- Omar Ruvalcaba (8/5): - Se sienten viejas las habitaciones, sobre todo cama y televisor
- Geo (10/5): - I loved it because it had its own kitchen with everything that you need to make your own food. you dont need any Nothing, just in groceries, awesome.
No vuelvo a reservar jamas
- helmuth (8/5): - Overall, the stay at the hotel was good. The views from the terrace is great. One night there was music coming from the room next door; it lasted for about 30 minutes.
- Luis (10/5): - It is a quiet area and safe.
- Nilson (10/5): - very nice hotel, super clean. People are very friendly and helpful in, which is nicest restaurant right next to it and it’s open until late.
- Robinson (10/5): - La limpieza, la seguridad y la atención a los detalles fueron las cosas que más gustaron
- Eduardo (10/5): - Well ,i appreciate the cleanest off the rooms
- Ubiquo (8/5): - Habitación, tenía mal olor
- Ermelinda (10/5): - It was well equipped and clean. Excellent pricing and very courteous staff. Loved it.
- Minds Developer Grou (10/5): Great money value - Excellent choice! Neat, the convenience store is a big plus.
- Jose M (10/5): safe, clean, quite, nice place - nice, convenient clean, safe
- Margarita (10/5): - Great staff. clean and cozy room
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Initially room on 2nd floor next to generator so moved to 9th floor. Lots of traffic noise. Hotel very secure and friendly staff though. Great coffee roasters nearby such as Torch & eternity.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Very clean and spacious.
- Adam (8/5): - Suites Terraza Imperial leaves very little to be criticized. The hotel and its rooms are clean, secure, and quiet. The kitchenettes are well stocked with kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils. The bathrooms are pleasant and well updated. The staff is courteous, attentive, and professional. Room cleaning is handled reliably and well regardless of when the Do Not Disturb sign is taken down or put up.
The hotel is located within a few minutes of a major shopping center (grocery store included), on foot, and it is less than ten minutes from the airport by car.
If anything must be criticized as less than perfectly ideal, or at least as an FYI for prospective visitors:
- basically no English is spoken here. You may have no reason to need special interaction with the staff, as things went very smoothly for me during my one-week stay from check-in to checkout. But this is still worth noting if you have no Spanish at all.
- one cockroach was spotted in my room, so there were probably more. This may be standard in Guatemala, I don't know, but I wouldn't have expected it based on the otherwise high quality of the facility.
- there is no room service, and nothing more than water and beer for purchase at the front desk. With the restaurants nearby and the availability of services like Uber Eats, this is no problem at all, but still worth noting.
- the water pressure and temperature of the (very nice) shower is highly variable. Expect frequent hot/cold adjustments!
- Don (10/5): - Great Hotel
- jorge (10/5): - Nice costumer service
- Juan O (8/5): - Todo muy bien dentro de edificio pero escalinatas a la entrada en el día es difícil distinguir los niveles por tener el mismo color lo que puede dar por resultado un an accident ; en la noche se distingue el nivel por la luz roja
- lester (10/5): - Excellent customer service.
- Michael (8/5): - Aproximadamente to airport
- Jose (6/5): - Trucks blaring their horns late into the night.
- Hanan (10/5): - Beautiful property! We were blown away by the classiness and cleanliness of this hotel and only wished we had more time to enjoy it.
- erwin (10/5): - Like the pictures bbut overall the quietness of the area I was surprised I was near the airport and I did not hear anything
- Olivia (2/5): - I had to ask them to change the sheets and blankets it had a horrible smell in the room and I couldn’t sleep all night from all the noise I could hear the plains going off every hour and car noises
- John (8/5): - Super location near the airport with lots of restaurants and shopping close. Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and nice hot water in the modern bathroom. The 52 inch TV had cable channels but wasn’t connected to the internet to stream. The fridge was nice to have but only the freezer worked. Okay WiFi speed around 30 mg downloads.
- Mara (10/5): - Everything is fine
- Yadira (10/5): - I reserved for one night for my husband to stay a day before picking me up from the airport. I choose it for airport distance and because the pictures liked nice. He liked it, six days later we stayed there again. Very clean, comfortable and the recepción people are very nice and helpful. They arranged our Uber. Will definitely continue staying there on all future trips.
- Esperanza (10/5): - It was a good experience.
- Maria (10/5): - Convenient location
- Heather (10/5): - Quiet, safe, clean and comfortable stay.
- Daniel (10/5): - Everything was amazing!!!!! The staff, the room, cleanliness. Thank you so much! We will stay with you again. ¡¡¡¡¡Muchos grasias!!!!!
- adrian (10/5): - Nice and clean hotel
- Claudia (10/5): - Location, price, very clean hotel!
- Claudia (10/5): - Excellent place to stay! Very convenient and close to the airport!! Love the staff and everything.
- Reginaldo (4/5): - I like the view
- Frank (8/5): - Need pool 😜
- Robert (8/5): - Nice and clean
- Alan (8/5): Great place... BUT - The place was actually really nice. Very good location, close to the airport and easy to get to.
The room was very clean and even though we didn't use the little kitchen it was good to have it just in case.
I will say though I did not like at all that they deactivated my key access before my check out time was up and when I went to the front desk to ask about it they told me someone will come up to my room to let me in and get my belonging for check out time. I felt like I was being "kicked out" for some reason and even though the lady at the front desk was "nice" enough to give me an explanation that made no sense to me I strongly believe that OUTSTANDING GUESTS like ourselves should not be treated like that. I honestly felt very weird about. We have been in 26 countries around the world and this place is the only one that we have had happened to us.
Check out time was at 13:00 and I was trying to get to my room at 12:45 to grab my stuff and do the check out when I realized they had deactivated my key access. NOT COOL at all. I would probably not stay there again for that reason along.
- Esvin (8/5): - Little hard to check out.
- david (10/5): - I love the place very closed to the airport
- HERBERT (10/5): - Great hotel to stay, very clean and very spacious room.
- Adam (2/5): - They turned us away at midnight because their system did not have the reservation from Orbitz even though I showed it to them. They were rude, and I felt like they wanted to charge us more because it was late. Really disappointing, now I have to try and get a refund.
- elias (8/5): - Nothing special
- Richard (10/5): - Very nice for what I paid. Clean, comfortable, and in walking distance to restaurant/bar district.
- Vilma Alejandra (10/5): Happy place - It was an amazing , I’ll definitely go again with family to stay at this wonderful hotel .
- Juan Carlos (10/5): - Very nice suite, well equipped. Friendly employees.
- Hui-Ling (10/5): - The apartment was very spacious and had a fully-equipped kitchenette, making it possible to have a home-made breakfast or a late-night hot meal without leaving the hotel. The Eco-filter feature ensures abundant drinking water supply. The hotel staff is friendly but does not help with tourism arrangements. However, with many travel agencies within walking distance of the hotel, that is not an issue. Overall, the hotel has very good security measures, good environment and very spacious and comfy room for adequate rest.
- DAVID (8/5): - The property is quite new, so the rooms are modern and well equipped. Pretty much all you need. Maybe better located electrical outlets woukd be good, but thats about it.
However, the staff are not particularly helpful nor service oriented. Never a hello or have a nice day.
Another example, where upon arrival, they suggested leaving for a nearby lunch because we were quite early. But we had to ask about leaving bags. Then, upon our return, 20 minutes before official check-in, they made us wait until that exact 3pm time. It was obviously not because the room wasn't ready, and they check us in at exactly 3pm, not a second early, with no help in retieving the luggage at that time either. The front desk staff didn't even know where the luggage was.
Too bad, because it is a nice place and well located.
- Pascual (10/5): - Great keep up place. Receptionist went above and beyond seem like management do a great job training. Keep up make Chapines proud.
- Maria (6/5): - I’m an older woman traveling alone, they didn’t explain how the keycard would open the door to where my luggage was kept before 3pm for to check in, they 2 different remotes for the tv and I could not make the tv work, and even though they had my CC info. They also asked for a cash deposit and at the time of checking out they hold you there until they go check the room and make sure you din’t still anything or broke something I guess because a person call them back on a radio and says, all is ok and then they give you you cash deposit back and ur CC receipt. I had never seen this!!
- Kerry (8/5): - Clean and easy access
- Damaris (10/5): - I liked the Customer Service very polite and professional.
I recommend it for a weekend getaway or business trip.
- Danny (10/5): - The property was excellent, and since I’m an avid traveller, the experience I had in this hotel was amazing.
- Jorge (10/5): - Nice location,excellent costumer service
- Freddy (10/5): - My 2 night at hotel were wonderful and comfortable. Will definitely return.
- Rony (8/5): - The restaurant was closed, and the wifi didn't work
- Divine (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely recommend it.
- Tracy (8/5): - Conveniente and comfortable.
- SCOTT (10/5): - Good airport location.
Accommodations are good and a very good value.
- Judith (10/5): - I'm actually sad I only got to stay here 1 night. I booked it between flights. I arrived at 10pm from Tikal and flew out at 7 am the next day. It was a welcome sight and feel coming from roughing it a bit in Tikal. It was clean and felt a little upscale. I loved it. Wish the hotel had heat because the night I stayed was cold. I also wish they had comforters or thicker covers because I was freezing cold that night. Other than that, no complaints.
- Jason (10/5): - Great place and great staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and close to the airport and areas with restaurants
- Luna (10/5): - nice and clean
- Alma (10/5): - Exelente servicio completamente satisfecha
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really nice experience
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is clean and comfortable. Nice to have the small kitchen area to be able to enjoy meals in room especially during covid.
My two negatives would be that the internet is not reliable which makes doing work from your room difficult.
Also the water in the shower was either all hot or cold which was unfortunate.
For the cost it was a good value .
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Customer service was not friendly bad. They treat you like they doing you a favor for staying there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was confortable and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Las instalaciones muy buenas, muy cerca del aeropuerto. La habitación muy limpia. Excelente servicio.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Over all, this hotel was nice. The only problem I had was the fact that the room i was given smelled like cigarette smoke, I called the front desk and was quickly moved to another room. Nevertheless, I feel the cleaning crew should have never released that room for use.
- Jenis (10/5): Excellent Stay - This hotel is very clean. Very close to the airport. It’s a studio apartment. Everything you need is at the hotel. Even a mini gym at the roof top open air.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location , quiet , and great service !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best decision made on choosing Suites Terraza. The place is great Very clean and up to date. Quite despite being so close to airport. Staff was amazing they assisted me with my needs of a printer. Will defiantly stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very new and clean. Full kitchenette with cookware. Helpful staff. Rooftop terrace was appreciated for being outside and viewing the sunset during the Coronavirus curfew from 4PM to 4AM. < 10 minute drive to the airport.
- Becker (8/5): - The place was super clean and tidy and in a great location if you desire to be closed to the airport. You do hear the aircraft noises taking off but that did not bother me. The hotel doesnt have restaurants though, that was the downside. Also, the water in the shower is either extremely hot or extremely cold- it was impossible adjusting to the right temperature.
- Marcus (8/5): - Everything good. Nice hotel close to the airport, rooms were clean. Only drawback was that watertap in the bathroom was not working. Was not a big deal for me as I used the shower instead.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Good place to stay overnight. - Best bed ever. Just an overnight stay, arrived very late and left early. No breakfast included but a Chinese restaurant next door which made up a quick, good breakfast. It was convenient and close to the airport.
- Jade (4/5): - I like this hotel, it is at a convenient location for the type of business I do. The administration changed policy. Before if my plain landed before noon, I was able to check in early with no problem, I was able to take a shower and rest before meetings. Now if I want to check in before 3pm I have to pay $10 per hour, that means, I can’t rest before business. Very disappointed.
- Edy (10/5): - Friendly, very clean, good location near restaurant coffee shops and a mall
- EDUARDO (8/5): A bit awkward but good. - Considering the price, can't ask for more. Location is close to a mall and other services. Room is a bit sparse (nothing on the walls but a clock and no smoking sign...felt strange for a hotel) but it is brand new. Fully equiped kitchen, barthroom was nice. Didn't have hot water first morning but issue was quickly resolved.
Staff seams a bit distant, did not interact with me at all except for checking in and checking out. I'd like to think it was because the all seem very young and new at thier job but I was hard pressed to get a greeting from then while coming and going....
Overall good, I will stay there again when I come back for business.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Las instalaciones se ven bien. La limpieza del cuarto no era buena. La ducha no funcionaba correctamente
- JF (10/5): - New hotel. Super clean. Friendly staff. Convenient location.
- Sheila (10/5): Safe, secure and clean - Very clean, employees were most accommodating. Somehow, I was able to make my needs clear to them. They speak very little English and I speak no Spanish. My only complaint is no face cloths were provided. But this was also the case at other hotels. It is a very safe and secure hotel. I felt very comfortable.
- JamesDraper (10/5): - Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. It is very clean and has everything you need for even a 30 day stay. It is in Zona 13, so it is within walking distance to the shopping district and the Avenue do Liberacion, and is a short cab ride to the museums and excellent dining.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice and clen! Decellent service and very good price
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room. Friendly staff. Easy check in. Price was very reasonable. I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good service, good attention, good place, nice bed
