• Özay (9/5): Quiet Location with Great Staff and Amenities - The property was situated in a quiet area, yet close to the beach and local markets. Although we didn’t use it, there was a pool available. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the air conditioning worked very well. There was a musty smell in the room
• camille (9/5): - Le personnel est tres accueillant, le jardin est très soigné avec une jolie piscine, à l écart de la rue. La double chambre deluxe est en fait un tres grand appartement, idéal en famille ou pour 2 couples. Il est équipé d une cuisine et d une machine à laver le linge, c est tres pratique. Possibilité de louer des scooters , commander un taxi, c est pratique. Le quartier dans lequel se trouve l hôtel est modeste, des immeubles sont en construction et pour rejoindre le centre animé (café, restaurants, salons de massages, commerces) il faut longer une rue sans trottoir, dangereux de nuit.
• Calvin (8/5): - Location was perfect, room was excellent and staff were very kind and helpful and friendly. The bedsheets did not get changed and up high in the room it was dusty and didn't get cleaned. Like high up on the walls, above the cupboards and the ceiling. So lots of dust and spiderwebs

• Joan (6/5): Matig - De schoonmaak De kamer had geen ramen en het restaurant was open tussen 9.30u en 6.30u, precies de tijd dat de meeste gasten net als wij juist op pad zijn, erg onhandig. Ook de receptie was vaak onbemenst.

• Jake (9/5): Really good hotel, staff very polite, perfect location if you’re coming to train Muay Thai - Good location, good peace and quiet. Room was nice, had everything it needed, good sized bathroom, bed and room in general. A/C worked well. Firm bed was comfy enough. Big sized fridge, small kitchen and dining area. Price was on the cheap side compared to other hotels in the area so no complaints at all, really good value for money I thought. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, allowed me to check in slightly early and let me keep my luggage in the hotel for the day until my flight at night. They told me I could order from their restaurant and have it brought to my room if I liked. Pool area is nice and there’s rarely anyone there so it’s nice to relax. About 10min walk from the start of the beach. Closest 7/11 is about 10 min walk. 45 min walk or 10 min drive to boat avenue. Perfect if you’re coming over to train Muay Thai like I was, 5 min walk from bang Tao gym, 10 min walk from bang tong gym, 20 min walk from sutai gym. Overall very happy with my stay and would come back No genuine issues at all just a couple very minor things. Aerator on bathroom tap was faulty and would’ve sprayed everywhere if I turned the tap on hard. Just a slight inconvenience and not really an actual issue. Had the sign on do not disturb yet house keeping still came in when I was gone, and also came back a few days later and asked if I wanted the room cleaned. They were very friendly so I’m more than certain it was well-intentioned. Again, not an actual issue but just something to note.

Sehr zufrieden insgesamt, die Wahl ist gefallen als Zwischending von lotus arena und bang tao beach.

• France’s (9/5): Great value for money, safe and good with great hosts. Close to Bangtao Muay Thai! - Safe, clean and quiet - a bit away from the central area but easy enough walk/get a scooter! Room cleaned daily with new towels and bedding a real bonus. Staff very friendly and discreet Nice pool area with no-one there! Aircon unit in the room was quite noisy!

They treated me and my friend with tremendous respect and were very accommodating to our needs. The only issue was the couch/futon was no that comfortable for my friend that slept on it during our stay. Other than that this place was amazing to stay at.
• Elisha (7/5): Nice room, ok stay - My room was really nice, loved the direct access to the pool, comfy bed/good sleep, main pool area was nice when I got to use it. I didn't use the pool as the day before there was a pool party and wasn't risking it. Breakfast was ok/standard buffet. Food at the restaurant wasn't bad. Shuttle service staff were friendly and quick. I was only here for one night and the day I arrived there was a private music pool party happening in the pool/restaurant area so I was not able to use the main pool, bar or restaurant which was really frustrating and disappointing. No one informed me of this when I booked or prior to arriving, staff weren't very understanding or really care, no compensation was brought up like a discount for room service etc. as there was nowhere else to eat/drink close by the property. I was given a "free upgrade" to a room with a hot tub, however, I didn't want this, if I wanted that room I would of booked it. The receptionist had to call the manager in order to get me the room I booked.
• Alan (9/5): Great hotel and I would book again. - Lovely quiet little hotel. Pool is amazing. The two cleaning staff were fabulous. The made me coffee every morning while cleaning my room. Front desk staff were also friendly and kind. My tv in the room couldn't get any signal. Bed was a bit too firm for me.
• Elaine (7/5): This is a great little budget property with a family run atmosphere. - PROS: budget friendly, staff was helpful, did a great job with our laundry, clean room, fabulous pool, quiet area. CONS: the bed is very hard, it’s a bit of a walk to anything close ie stores, restaurants or the beach.
• Harley (8/5): Hidden gem, in a quiet back street but short walk to the main part of town. - Look, you get what you pay for, this place is not a resort, but for a little hotel in a back street, its a lovely little place. Pool is fantastic 👌 Room is clean and quiet, bed is comfortable. The food in the restaurant is great and way cheaper than in the main strip or beach. There is coffee and tea and the cleaners come every day to freshen the room and replace the water bottles. I would stay here again. If you train Muay Thai, it's about a 3min walk to Bang Tao gym. Bathroom was a bit smelly, like a musky sort of smell, not too offensive but definitely noticeable. Other than that, no complaints.

• Robin (10/5): Lovely hotel - clean and spaciour room, good pool and location. - Great hotel - Clean, spacious room with some outdoor seating on the balcony and another outdoor area to hang towels etc. Nice, well kept pool with four sunbeds, although plenty as it was so quiet. 10 mins walk from the beach. Bed was a little firm, but typical for Thailand.

• Daniel (10/5): 6 days in Journey - Good hotel near from Bangtao Gym so that is good option if you wanna train there. It is just 10 minutes of walk from this gym. Room was cleaned up every day so also this is a big advantage. The swimming pool was also nice.

• Alona (10/5): I'm very satisfied! - This hotel is very nice. I like family businesses because of their soulful approach. The Journey residence is the very same example. They like what they do and this is noticeable. Everything is very clean. The room was gently equipped with all necessary goods. The textile, towels were fresh and had such a pleasant, light fresh smell. The bed is comfortable, we were able to sleep well. You can ask any question on the reception and they do all their best to help you. Taxi service is available by the very good price. And a car was so clean and comfortable, the driver is very kind and polite. I used a laundry for a very good price. Laundry machines are very clean, that’s important for me. This place located not far from beach (only 5-10 minutes walk). Places with tasty food and drinks are near. Small shops with all necessary goods, fruits are not so far from hotel. As for me, the room has not enough daylight.
• Leroy (7/5): Looking for basic, this is the place - For the price you are getting the basics, a place to sleep with an aircon and has a basic kitchen that comes in handy. not really close to anything but the gym, aircon doesn’t really cool down fast enough and unfortunately only 1 pillow on the bed with no extra options available.

• Dominik (5/5): Passable - Apartment was good equiped and clean. Looked quiet new. Bigest problem was windows. They are pointed in the central part of the building (something like hallway where people walk and see everthing in your appartment) and we dont have any light from them. In the room was still dark. It was like live in the cellar. Other thing is somewhere near is mosque and you will heat loud prayers from the morning through the day. Way to the beach is not so good. Roads around are in horrible state and it is abou 1km walk.
• Marisol (9/5): Superb - We really liked the area. Not too close to the centre but the Beach was basically around the corner. The personnel was really friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and all the utilities worked as they were supposed to. All in all we can only recommend staying at Journey Residence Phuket. Just some minor suggestions. The pillows were a bit too stiff and solid for our taste and the door locking mechanism seemed a bit shaky. Nothing to woorysome but if we had to mention something in this category it might be this.
• Christina (10/5): Comfortable apartment near the beach at a great price - I was so delighted to find this place - I stayed two nights but would be happy staying a few weeks! It’s not fancy but has everything you could need - particularly loved having beach towels, a kitchenette, laundry facilities, and a reasonably priced restaurant downstairs. It was like having a proper apartment. So comfy and clean at an amazing price. Nice location near the gym and beach, very quiet. Super warm and helpful staff. My specific room didn’t have windows which was fine for me because I was just in for nights but if you needed to work remotely or something, worth asking about it.

• Maxim (3/5): Poor - Good staff. Everything is fresh and clean. Fan is available. No real window. The only window this place has is the balcony where another building in 2 meters. So it's always dark and if you open it for fresh air - hot air from air conditioner will blow right back.

But the rooms in the ground floor are dark, because the windows face a another building 2 m away. The building is a misconstruction. If you just need a bed for the night, it might be OK. TV too complicated to operate.
