Guest Reviews
- John (8/5): Good accommodation - Our room was good, the bed comfortable and everything very clean.
We were disappointed with the dining areas and with the food, which was unjustifiably expensive. Breakfast "fruit juice" was awful.
The surrounding area was excellent, Parking close and plentiful.
Apart from the restaurants, the hotel was very good and we would return.
- cd (10/5): - Struggling with the automatic check-in when the receptionist came to my rescue.
- Wayne (10/5): - Beautiful clean and well equipped room. Even though themed and prob suited for families, as a couple I’d still recommend. It was lovely surroundings, beautiful breakfast, def recommend. EV charging too
- Steven (10/5): - Wonderful and magical place to stay. Really enjoyed a two night stay in the grounds to see the castle. Very clean and tidy with a great breakfast. Would stay again.
- Howard (10/5): - Spacious bedroom, in unique hotel set in beautiful surroundings.
- Stephen (8/5): - Only 2 negatives we came across was when we scanned the QR code for the menus in the room, when we went into the Tavern the Mac&Cheese and Sticky Toffee Pudding was not on the menu. The other was the postcode for the satnav took us past the entrance. Would have been good to comment turn into entrance for castle and pass through barriers.
- Sonia (8/5): - The property was very clean and an excellent place for families with children. Staff were very helpful. Easy walking distance into the grounds of Warwick Castle.
Downside was that the Restaurant was closed in the evening and there were no restaurants close to the property which meant a 20 minute walk into Warwick when we're tired after walking all day. Bar on the premises charged £14 for one glass of wine which was extortionate.
- Carl (10/5): - 5stars all round
- Darrell (6/5): - Wonderful historic surroundings are the highlight of a standard corporate hotel. Rooms feature theme park style medieval decoration, otherwise they’re basic, relatively clean (floors could do with a hoover) and comfortable. Nothing fancy but you get what you pay for. Staff perfectly friendly.
- Matt (10/5): - Great location
Great breakfast
Comfy room
- Anthony (8/5): - Staff very helpful and friendly
Hotel was very clean
Breakfast excellent buffet , tasty food
- Michael (10/5): - We were at the castle for a wedding and it couldn't have been better. The castle was perfect, authentic and and magical. There is a tavern on the property but if you want to walk there are lots of puns and shops within a mile or two. Lots of activities at the castle we highly recommend the tour. Worth the visit!!
- Ray (6/5): Expensive in every aspect. - Nice decor for the kids.
But, and a big one, evening dinner for 1 adult, and 3 children, £92.00. I know prices are going uo all over, but that's crazy for the food served.
- John (8/5): - Hotel is very good, breakfast is good as well would prefer other egg option other than just scrambled.
The evening meals in the bar are limited and to expensive for what you get, I had the stacked burger which was very good fries not so much or the coleslaw needs chunky chips and a bit of salad, beer to expensive for the brands served.
These are small things and won’t stop me from returning I will eat elsewhere in the evening.
- Verified traveler (6/5): over priced for the one night stay - Although the room was clean, the smell in the bathroom was not so nice!
- Alistair (8/5): Pet Shop Boys + “Glamping” - Nice “Glamping” experience at Pet Shop Boys concert - very clean site /accommodation with genuinely friendly staff in all areas . No coffee machine at brekkie, booo ..don’t do instant ! Had a great time at concert with good choice of food/drink , if overpriced as usual . Clean loos with no queues , perfect 😉
- Ally (6/5): - Great location but way overpriced at £289 for one night B&B. Basic accommodation and very basic breakfast.
- KATHY (6/5): - This property is nice, but parking for the hotel is not convenient at all. It will be a great place for kids, I didn’t realize that before booking the room.
- Mark (10/5): Excellent staff from start to finish. - Came up to see Texas and decided to stay at the castle.
The staff are absolutely brilliant, helpful always smiling go out of their way to be helpful. It made our one night stay a real joy.
We aim to come back and see more concerts , and return with our granddaughter in the next school holidays.
- paul (8/5): - Great value and very good breakfast.
- Isobel (10/5): Great break!! - Super helpful staff, really clean, great place to stay with children. Easy walk to the castle and into Warwick town
- Morag (6/5): - Hotel was very convenient for the castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very basic but well set up for families. The towels and bedding were stained and were of low standard.
- Kerri (8/5): - Not much around area.
- Lynne (8/5): - Lovely basic hotel set in convenient and beautiful surroundings perfect for a visit to warwick castle. The staff were freindly and efficient. Lovely to sit out on a sunny evening watching enjoy x drink whild the children play watching great knight entertainment. My only criticism would be ordering food is very higgledy piggledy and expensive. Breakfast included in price was great
- Martin (4/5): - The Breakfast was the worst we have had x Martin
- glenn (8/5): - Good stay nice and clean rooms friendly staff etc the kids like playing in the park and the evening entertainment was very good aswell would recommend especially with kids.
- Andrew (10/5): - Lovely few days break, pleasant and peaceful.
Good sized family room which was castle themed appropriately everything you need for a short break and all staff were friendly and helpful.
- Kotono (6/5): - Check in went smoothly. The bathroom was dirty and had to ask the staff to clean it as it needed a scrub to clean it. This was unpleasant as my son stepped on it unknowing what it was.. Staff dealt it quickly.
- Craig (10/5): - Amazing family friendly hotel. Lots of features that you usually wouldn't think about, like a built in toddler seat on the toilet and finger protectors on the door hinges, that just make so much sense. Staff were all very friendly too.
- Yves (10/5): - Great hotel, very family oriented and my kids enjoyed it thoroughly. On premise car charging availability was good too, just be careful of the 87p per hour fee after the car has charged
- Shajaht (10/5): Great hotel for families - Amazing hotel, great for kids , set in the castle grounds, really friendly and helpful staff
- John (10/5): - We booked a tent it was excellent very clean and comfortable
- Mark (10/5): Themed perfection. - Perfect location for gig at St. Nicholas Park, will definitely stay here again in the future, hotel, staff and location all superb.
- PAUL (10/5): Knights village Warwick - If you are thinking of going to Warwick castle with children stay overnight ( if you can afford it ) at the knights village. Our grandson (5) loved it and the castle visit next day
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Aimed more at families but was ok for a late booking business trip
- Paul (10/5): Nice new hotel - Close to the centre of Warwick and very close to castle.
- Juliet (10/5): - Our tent was clean and attractive, with good linen, a bit hot when we arrived but a comfortable temperature overnight, nowhere to hang anything and towels not included but that didn't affect our sheer enjoyment
- Yuanyuan (10/5): - We will come back !!
- Michael (10/5): - If you have a young family then this hotel is an ideal place to stay when visiting Warwick castle.
The whole hotel feels new and clean with an impressive motorised knight and horse in the entrance, the rooms are clean and comfortable with some fun medieval themed decorations.
Activities are scheduled for after the castle closes including meeting a knight, training with the knights and a bedtime story that keeps the kids engaged throughout. There's also a small play area which is always a benefit.
The food is very much quantity over quality especially with the buffet dinner and breakfast (the juices are best left alone), however you shouldn't come to stay in a place like this for the food
- shawn (10/5): - Really helpful staff
- Gary (10/5): - Thank you for a nice stay
- Martin (10/5): - Great theme
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wow - Wow... what a find... we were on a business trip but will definitely be back as a family trio.
- Alastair (10/5): - Enjoyable stay
- Marcella (10/5): - Great place to stay and enjoy the Castle and Warwick village.
- Home (10/5): - It was a great stay and themed rooms were fun.
- Mark (10/5): - Awesome stay
- Marina (10/5): - It was fantastic to be able to visit Warwick castle from our tent, easy short walk, cheaper entry fee and free parking. Also the tents are very well done, as long as you know you have to share the bathroom and bring all your toiletries and towels. Be aware there are lots of children and babies specially on weekends, and some cried at night and woke me up. It's not super quiet, it's a tent! Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Staff amazing!! 5 minute walk from all the shops, estaurants, and pubsI will definitely stay again if visiting Warwick.
- Karen (10/5): - We had a fabulous 3 night stay in the Knight's Lodge rooms. I was visiting England with my 8 year old son from America and we needed a child friendly hotel centrally located. I loved how the rooms are located via a board walk in a wooded area. There is a playground, evening entertainment and a couple of restaurants. It's about 15 minute walk to the castle. We spent one whole day and a morning visiting the castle which was so much fun. We went on a day trip to visit relatives in the area and then flew out from Birmingham Airport which was about 30 minutes away. We had a lovely time!
- Yoshi (10/5): - Nice theme and great staff
- Susan (8/5): - The property is set up for families with young children.
There are two places to have food, the tavern or dining room. We chose the dining room which only serves a buffet. The food was not good, the cost was $26 pounds. Would not recommend eating there. Walk or drive into the town for eating and some good site seeing.
- MAREKS (10/5): - Fantastic service.
- Colin (10/5): - It was like a brief stay in the Heath Ledger movie A Knights Tale. I loved it.
- Ross (8/5): M - Lovely hotel is very peaceful surroundings. Designed primarily for families. Rooms small but they do cram a lot in with bunk beds etc. mattress not great and noisy a/c or ventilation system. Hotel does lack a lounge area or patio. Just the Tavern or restaurant in the evening. Staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. Perhaps not best for more than a few nights.
- Matthew (10/5): All you need to visit the castle. - Clean room, comfortable bed, great shower, friendly staff, adjacent free parking, very good breakfast and easy stroll into the castle. All first class. What’s not to like?
- Georgina (10/5): Great for kids - Great for kid's. They loved the evening entertainment
- Craig (10/5): - Lovely clean hotel. Easy access to the Castle and grounds. Breakfast was superb and plenty of choice. No complaints. Would stay again most definitely.
- Hayley (8/5): - Hotel and lodges were lovely
Lovely and tranquil
Staff in check in super lovely with kids and helpful
A secret little gem of a place
Only negative was our tv in lodge had no signal so wouldnt work
- Anna (10/5): We love this place! - We love the knights village. We visit family in Warwick regularly and always stay in the Knights village. The staff is phenomenal. Some of the most kind people. They are always there to help and are so very hospitable.
- RICKY (10/5): Very clean and comfortable - Staff were very friendly, great with our 2 year old, remembered to put the cot up... a few other hotels havent in the past.
The hotel was very clean, made our stay very comfortable.
Loved the style of the hotel, the decore was fun and topical.
We will be visiting again in the future.
- Michael (10/5): Perfect stay, spotless rooms, great location - What an amazing stay in a perfect location for Warwick town and for the Castle. Could not fault the attention to detail, cleanliness. Perfect
- Camilo (10/5): - Staff was warm and friendly. It made for a great family short break.
- Stefan (10/5): - Excellent accommodation
- Andy (10/5): - Excellent hotel and themed for kids. Clean, good staff and overall a pleasant experience. Highly recommend and would love to return.
- Jose Ignacio (8/5): - It is really peaceful place, next to Castle and close to the old town. Great Breakfast too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel for families - Very good overall but slight issue at check in, room key didn’t work so told to go to another room which opened the door but someone was already in the room and very surprised to see we’d opened the door. Third room and third key worked. Overall, great for the kids and very clean and well thought out for families. Great breakfast.
- Nigel (10/5): - Good new hotel, obviously themed for visit to Castle, I would imagine great fun for children. Great location for visit to castle, racecourse and town. Fine for couples when we visited but is aiming at families.
- Andrew (10/5): - Big room. Mainly clean. Toilet needs work.
Could have had better instructions about breakfast and timings
- Shane (4/5): - Poor value. Cheap mattress and bunk beds. Poor dining and poor tavern
- Karin (6/5): Quirky fun stay - The rents are very dated and will soon need to be replaced
- Avinesh (10/5): - Exceptional stay! Wonderful staff, friendly and attentive. The room was immaculately clean and cozy. I felt very safe and secure. Good breakfast. Highly recommend.
- David (8/5): Highly Recommend - Fortunatly/Unfortunatly I decided to have a go at Glamping on the hottest 2 days of Summer 2024.
I would highly recommend the Knights Village as a novel place to stay.
But be aware the tents get stupidly hot when the weather is nice. But thats just me.
- Phil (8/5): - I stayed in one of the lodges, which was a fair way away from the car park. The lodges themselves are really lovely, and are clean and tidy.
The lodges are intended for holiday/short break and family customers so there was no area to work on my laptop. The bar area was also not suitable for that either.
I can't comment on the bedrooms in the main building - maybe they're more business-oriented.
- sally (10/5): Thank you Knights village for an amazing stay - Greeted warmly by staff who helped us check in. Staff were exceptionally helpful, whatever their role. Our room was incredibly clean, with plenty of refreshments, soaps, shower gels and shampoo's. Very spacious and warm, with decor that matched the venue, which made the stay more authentic, this would really suit a family with children but as a couple we really loved the experience of staying in a cabin. Plenty of parking a available a short walk from the cabin, the castle and town but easily doable.
A very slight downside is that the breakfast is a bit of a free for all, some structure would help and the drinks area so tiny for so many people, trying to juggle, drinks, children etc.
- Justin (10/5): - Warwick castle was very interesting and the town around it was interesting. The cabins and activities were fun especially if you have kids. We were just a couple and still enjoyed it.
- Anne (8/5): - It’s in lovely spot. I had a timber lodge in the knights village. Lovely and clean.
Improvements would include better lighting over dressing table ( it was a work stop-over for me so lighting was important) a chair rather than hard wooden stool would have been appreciated and there are no room guides/instructions. The reception staff were lovely but a hand book of some description would have meant I could resolve my issue quickly and easily
- Christopher (10/5): - Rooms were spacious, staff attentive, breakfast and dinner choices were tasty. We will definitely stay again
- David (4/5): - Over priced food in the evening shocking for £27 per person, couldn’t put myself through the free breakfast in the morning after that fiasco, tents cost is ridiculous.
Oh and you are right on East Midlands Airport flight path, so little chance of sleep
- Paul (10/5): - Really lovely for glamping very plush beds and clean tents. Central bathroom facilities were immaculate and within a few moments walk. Evening entertainment was good fun and very engaging for the smaller children. Only downside was constant drone so not so good for light sleepers, but overall we thoroughly recommend a stay here when visiting the castle.
- Janet (10/5): Glamping. - Lovely clean glamping tent.
Breakfast was nice but the hot breakfast roll was only luke warm Could be improved by having a drinks station closer.
- Emma (10/5): Amazing experience - Amazing will definitely come back again!
- Jade (10/5): Excellent Experience! - Incredible site with wonderful service from the lovely staff and great food/facilities. Would love to stay again!
- Simon (10/5): - My only complaints would be no toilet paper, no hooks in the particular shower that we used and the head board was broken on one of the beds..There was nothing to dry your hands with in the toilet. At the complimentary tea and coffee station there was no hot water.
Other than overall it was excellent and we enjoyed it and we are keen to book again!
- Stephen (10/5): - Very nice. Thank you.
- Lesley (8/5): - Lovely surroundings. Stayed in a Glamping tent which didn’t have any heating.
- Sarah (10/5): - Long walk to parking lot from reception , Dining option limited and expensive.
- Robert (8/5): - A unique enjoyable place to stay, but limited facilities available when the castle is closed.
The team put on entertainment for kids.
Quite a walk from Warwick Station if travelling by train.
- Derek (10/5): - It was a unique experience for us clamping. Loved it and the breakfast provided was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay
- Stephen (10/5): Posh glamping - Really different experience.
- Carla-Leanne (10/5): - Wonderful stay! Was looking for accommodation in Warwick at short notice. Great accommodation, lovely breakfast and the wonderfully surreal experience of arriving to a sword fight performance taking place at my door!
- Bryan (10/5): - It was cool
- C (10/5): - Superb place, what a great find. Would stay here anytime I was in Warwick or close by
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great dining experience ! - The lodge is well decorated. Places are clean, only the toilet flush is a bit weak.
We had dinner at the restaurant. There are great activities for the kids, knight training, sword fighting show and even bedtime story. All the kids enjoyed a lot !
We would probably come back again !
- Kelly (10/5): - Excellent place to stay
- Svetlana (8/5): - I left 4 stars not 5 because we were not aware of long walk all the tome to cottage and back, and if you don`t traveled by car like us, its not most convenient place to stay.
- David (8/5): Good stay but don’t eat! - I thought the accommodation itself was excellent and the entertainment for the children good. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food with the choices far too limited for those with dietary requirements and the ‘fast food nation’ to it.. The staff however were friendly and always on hand.
- Christine (8/5): - Great location for the castle. Glamping for the first time was an experience. Shame about the rain. Meant it was damp in the tent. Water still managed to get in somehow; there were puddles on the floor right inside the tent - not from the front flaps being exposed. We'd had that explained to us about ensuring the flaps were 'out'. Shower & toilet blacks were great. Dining in the evening was over the top - too much food! Must be a lot of waste. Breakfast being included was a bonus & the buffet was excellent. Great being able to visit the castle for a reduced price too
- CAROL (10/5): - It met our needs in full and quite a spectacular location.
- Meg (6/5): - On arrival we were greeted by lovely, smiley, helpful staff this did not change throught our stay. But... the accommodation was a disappointment. Cramped for a couple and our chalet was for 2 adults and 3 childen. Double bed, that only had one beside table and to get to that you had to breath in and hopefully not impale your back on the metal curtain tie back. Two bunk beds with a 3rd pull out in a box room. You could not get in to the room if using the 3rd bed. The Double bed creaked everytime you moved and the mattress was so hard with no mattress protector. The thermostat was off but it was like an oven in the room. The shower was good, but could have been cleaner. There were plenty of towels and those were surprisingly large. We could hear our neighbours...and anyone walking on the boardwalk outside... neighbours woke us at 06-00 with a child running around...very loudly.
These are just wooden cabins in amongst trees, no link to the magic of the castle or anything suggesting we could have stepped back in time. Breakfast is buffet style and surprisingly good, even if children were allowed to handle food on the displays without utensils thankfully we went early so no issue for us. Over all ok for one night as we did not pay full price but would not have been happy if we had. Would not visit again sadly.
- Kyla (10/5): - Wonderful little spot, beautiful, quiet and well run. Great for families.
