Reason. Ourcroom had been made up already. Pathetic excuse as i doubt rooms are only made up once they are booked.. NEVER GOING TO BOOK HERE AGAIN.

It was the most expensive place we booked and some understanding would have been appreciated. Still enjoyed the 1 night we stayed there but for the price we could have slept 1 night on a luxury yacht.
- michelle (10/5): - Lovely 4 night stay in Old Town of Rovinj. We stayed in a suite with a bed, pullout bed and kitchenette. It was very clean and the hotel staff were very accommodating! Our bus arrived late and the cart driver stayed late to bring us to the hotel - which I doubt we would have found on our own. They also took us the bus station for an early morning departure and provided a huge take out breakfast. You are staying within the Old Town where people still live and there are many restaurants - so it was not quiet - but this just added to the “old town” feel. Breakfast was provided at a restaurant very close to hotel and it was excellent!
- James (10/5): - Timmy was fantastic….after we booked on line with Expedia he called us within 5 minutes to confirm our arrival time and explain where to get picked up by the golf cart that drove us into the old city to the hotel. After he checked us in he ran our luggage up the 3 flights of stairs to the beautiful room. Timmy made us the best aperol spritz of the entire vacation and help us with our ferry reservation that we had struggled with all day. He suggested watching sunset from the church on top of the hill and made us reservations and one of the best and most unique restaurants of our lives (La Puntalina)
- Nicole (10/5): - This property was stunning. Stunning. STUNN-ING. We loved Rovinj, and the Melegran was centrally located and near everything we could want. The breakfast was wonderful, and quite varied. My mom unfortunately had a fall before we got to Rovinj, and so couldn't do too much walking on the steep and slippery streets, but the Melegran staff came to our rescue multiple times, so we didn't have to miss out on anything. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was.

Making the arrival so easy with pick up at a parking area and the accompanying directly to the lobby for check in. This is obviously a very small quaint hotel. Do not expect large rooms or room service or things of the genre. This is small, cozy, accommodating , local, charming and just perfect. You are in the heart of the town. Walking distance from everything. Definitely worth staying and would go back , hence high recommendation

The staff was so helpful and kind, checking us in early as our room was already available despite it being peak season. I’ve forgotten his name, but the gentleman who helped take our luggage up to our room was always cheerful & answered any questions we had. The breakfast was lovely, a great array of options to choose from. We travelled to Croatia for a wedding & this was on the tail end of our trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. I fell in love with Old Town. When I return, I would definitely consider staying here again.

- Rachel (10/5): Great location, clean, friendly staff - The Melegran is a very cute hotel option right in the center of Rovinj. The hotel staff is very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The room was small, but clean, modern, and well decorated. To those who are driving and need to park, contact the hotel ahead of time. The GPS will not lead you to an area to which you can drive. You will need to meet the hotel staff who will lead you to the parking area and then drive you in a mini car to the hotel.

Getting a lift from the parking lot into town (and back) was seamless, the hotel was darling and very well-appointed, the breakfast was delicious and generous, and the town itself was magical, with cobblestone streets, darling shops, lovely restaurants, and wonderful swimming opportunities. My stay was absolutely magical.

Parking was off site but we were met at an easy location and guided to the parking then taken by golf cart to the hotel. The upstairs has a futon style couch that can be used as an extra bed. We loved hanging out on the terrace too. There is laundry service about 50 yards away that is convenient and reasonable. The old town where the hotel is located is idyllic. Lots of dining and shopping and very charming. We can’t wait to come back again!

The location is in the heart of old town Rovinj which is stunning. My husband got sick and the restaurant for breakfast brought food up to our room for no charge. That is SERVICE! I would move in and make this my retirement home if I could. I wish we had stayed longer. This hotel is 5 stars for a much cheaper price. It is an absolute steal!!

- Richard (10/5): Consider this place first! - We absolutely loved this boutique hotel. OK, the rooms were "cozy," but nicely decorated and comfy. Everything was new and clean. The mattress was very good. The bathroom was a tad small but modern, and the towels were thick and luxurious. The staff was great and the location is perfect for sightseeing. A full breakfast (included), served at a nearly restaurant, is great, although you have to keep reminding the wait staff about your order. On the whole, one of the absolute nicest places I've every stayed at. 10 out of 10.
- SILVIA (10/5): Great location in Old Town in Rovinj - Location is right inside Old Town of Rovinj. Very clean. Small rooms, efficient use of space. Nice sheets, good bed. Functional bathroom. I recommend to stay in the upper floors due to the noise from the street. If you have a car, you will need to park it outside the Old Town and pay for it. The Melegran shuttle brought us from that parking lot to the hotel and also delivered us back there when we left. A nice breakfast is served in a restaurant just a few steps from The Melegran.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay - Beautiful little bijoux hotel in the centre of the old Rovinj. Very close to St. Euphemia church as well as the harbour. We absolutely loved the decor and found our stay was most relaxing and comfortable. Tom and Dragana at reception were very friendly and helpful. We had some reservations about the breakfast (supplied by a different hotel), which we shared with the Melegran, so they could improve on that. Even though the area is very densely built (beautiful little cobble streets), it was very quiet at night. We certainly had a great stay!

Rooms are not large but have been well designed with a lot of chic high-end touches (typewriter for you to write your travel thoughts, Nespresso machine, free Netflix - much appreciated as it poured with rain for most of our two day stay). Breakfast is at the Adriatic hotel on the harbour - pretty good but nothing to get too excited about. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you arrive by car it's a bit of a challenge finding their parking lot which is attached to the Franciscan convent outside the old town. Best way to access is find your way to Ul. Vijenac BraceLorenezetto which is a fairly major road. If you're coming up the hill look for the small driveway on the right as the road curves back on itself (where a one-way street comes into the main road. It's a narrow entrance but lots of parking once you're in. The hotel picks you up in a golf cart once you call them you're at the parking lot - if you decide to walk with luggage it's on a very steep, cobbled road. Don't even think about it if the streets are wet. Would be good if the hotel sent a map on how to find the parking - if you take their e-mailed directions and try to figure out where to go on Google Maps it's not at all obvious. Minor point - overall this is a great choice. Rovinj also has great ice cream - try Sweet Corner on the harbour front.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Romantic Rovinj - The apartment is stunning in design and practically everything one needs in terms of kitchen facility, dishwasher, full size fridge, beautiful crockery, kettle, Krupps Nespreso Coffee capsule appliance. Bathroom of comfortable size and top quality shower. The bed is a queen size, although the description stated King size on the website. The breakfast ( included in the rate) is a letdown as it is at a cafe away from the hotel, the spread was mediocre, croissant, stale fruit, salami , cheese, yoghurt drink, bread, honey. The hostess did not allow us to sit inside the cafe, outside was cold, damp and mosquitoes. However, a short time later, the friends of the hostess were seated inside the cafe! As we have experienced before in europe because we are foreigners we are not treated as guests, especially when small villages rely on tourism to boost the economy, we spend our time, money and effort to get to these places only to be treated unsatisfactory.
