- Gweru Book (6/5): Staff and the surrounding vegetation good. - I loved the surroundings and te hotel location, however when we checked-in the hotel staff had to check out a guest whose payment was delaying, I wondered if that was not , was our booking secure. The staff was friendly. The television channels we re fixed and therefore imposed upon us. Imagine we could not watch our favorite channels the whole night and morning. There imposed channel had not news at all.

- Denzel IP (2/5): Disgusted by The Palace Guest Lodge - The place is filthy dirty with torn furniture,i booked a room with insuit but they gave me the one without,i was sharing a bathroom and a toilet with 4 other guests who were in different rooms,The toilet is disgusting with old plastic dirty seat,the door is broken as shown on the picture,the shower looked like a public toilet,just look at the pictures ,that place has no microwaves,no guests fridges,theres no plugs i couldn't even charge my laptop so i could work . What they advertise is not what they have,their staff looks very tired and weak ,i have been traveling for the past 15 years but i have never seen such a disgusting place ,TV doesn't have remote,i can write a whole book but in short let me say this THE PALACE GUEST LODGE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE LISTED ON THIS APP .I will never ever in my life book there again because its like taking money and throwing it in a sewage pipe.

- moyrab727 (2/5): What a very bad experience - This was the worst place I have ever been too in my whole entire life, all the appliances in rooms were not working at all, you have to constantly be asking for basic needs such as sugar, tea,coffee,toilet paper on a daily basis when this should have been already been provided for as I was the paying customer.I was moved three times in order to get the right room for myself with basic amenities that work.

How ever the WiFi was super slow and later on it just stopped working till we checked out. The network wasn’t strong enough that we couldnt even use it for WhatsApp. During the night there was a lot of noise in the corridor, it was like a brothel through out the night and also cigarette smoke was coming in strong from the room next to us I think it was room number 4. These people are very noisy we didn’t even manage to sleep because they were making a lot of noise. We didn’t find the remote for the TV and also the speakers were not working so there was literally no volume on the Tv. When it comes to entertainment there is really nothing to offer

Not to mention the staff , they were not friendly at all , I stayed for 2 days and no one came to check if I need any tissues or bathing gel or anything for that matter. There was only a small bathing gel to use one and the next year I used my own soap… poor service . I don’t recommend

- aldopata (4/5): Great price but lousy service and accommodation - I've stayed at this hotel twice in the month of August because I was in Harare on business. The reason why I went back is because it has good parking area and seems quite safe. The price was also extremely cheap. However, the service is pretty bad: the key to the room wouldn't work and so I had to call them one morning to get me out of the room. The sink gets clogged all the time and the toilet fills up very slowly. The racks for the towels has come off the wall and nobody has bothered to secure it back to the wall. The second time around I asked for a superior room and they showed me something which was even worse than the room I stayed the first time: I opted for the standard room and never got a reimbursement. The towels are with holes and you have to request one which is normally brought to you at around 9PM. It's a shame because the place has a lot of potential (plenty of water and electricity, good location, etc.) but it's managed poorly.
- TendaiMwari (4/5): Friendly helpful staff, but very very low standards - The staff are friendly and willing to help, the owner's greatest asset. Poor management, very low cleanliness standards. Lack of basic things like towel mats in the bathrooms, air freshener. Never opt for the shared bathroom rooms. Kitchen is not clean. No coffee in rooms or bar fridge. The price was very affordable, but it came at the cost of cleanliness. Great room for improvement.
- tayob737 (10/5): Awesome people - Hi I never stayed here because my flights were cancelled due to the Boeing 737 saga but when I finally got to Zimbabwe , the place was fully booked but the owners were fantastic and concerned and immediately found me alternative accommodation real genuine fantastic people I say well done to you.
- gwandec (6/5): The Palace Guest House Stay - The lodge is value for money. The workers were very young and wearing very faded and stained black lodge branded T-shirts. There was no sense of responsibility and the approach is very casual. One mature person with customer care acumen will drastically improve the image. The room I stayed is badly cracked and patched with some adhesive material making the walls look very ugly. Install shower curtains to prevent water from messing the floors. The room had full grown cockroaches roaming everywhere at night. Pest control a MUST.
- petercQ8723NA (4/5): Rather spend a bit more - You will be glad you did - The area is not great, the buildings are dated and not very well maintained. There are weird smells emanating from the kitchen, which seeps down the hallways and has a way of setting the tone for the whole Guest House. The bed was literally the least comfortable bed I have ever slept on, and the pillows provided smelled of B.O. There are no amenities, and breakfast was an optional extra, which we considered but declined because of the smells wafting through the dining area when we went to eat. We cut our stay short and found another place to stay. It is budget, but it could at least be clean and well cared for.
