• Aaltje (9/5): Een aanrader, super aardig personeel en volop schone handdoeken voor op de kamer en ook voor het zwembad.ontbijt was hee - Accomodatie was heel mooi gelegen tegen een berg aan, de prijs was gunstig en het personeel was ontzettend aardig, ze deden alles voor ons om het ons naar de zin te maken We keken uit over een paar daken van onze kamer maar in de verte zagen we wel heel veel groen. We moesten in het hotel ook heel veel trappetjes op en af, dat was soms vervelend maar ik hoorde van de baas van het hotel dat er een lift gebouwd gaat worden.
• Latha (1/5): Wir haben uns für dieses Hotel entschieden, weil es auf den ersten Blick sehr gut aussah und wir bereit waren, etwas meh - Schon beim Betreten des Zimmers kam uns ein unangenehmer, muffiger Geruch entgegen. An den Wänden und an der Decke war deutlich Schimmel zu sehen. Unter den Betten lag dicker Staub, und die Bettwäsche wirkte gebraucht. Uns wurde gesagt, dass das Zimmer erst vor einem Tag belegt war – allerdings sah es eher so aus, als ob es seit Monaten nicht gründlich gereinigt wurde. Nach unserer Beschwerde wurde uns zwar ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, aber auch dort war es staubig. Da es mitten in der Nacht war und das neue Zimmer mehrere Etagen höher lag, entschieden wir uns dafür, das ursprüngliche Zimmer reinigen zu lassen. Leider wurde nur oberflächlich gefegt, was den Staub noch mehr aufgewirbelt hat. Zudem wurde die Bettwäsche lediglich auf einem Bett gewechselt, nicht auf beiden. Am nächsten Morgen baten wir um eine Preisreduzierung, die aber abgelehnt wurde. Besonders schade war das, weil das Hotel recht abgelegen und schwer zu erreichen ist – und für diesen Standard einfach zu teuer. Zum Glück waren wir nur eine Nacht dort. Leider kann ich dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

• Caroline (1/5): We didn’t stay here! - The hotel is up a very steep road a long way from anything. The room we were offered was not as described and we were shown an alternative which smelt damp. The pool was not clean and our shower had ants. We took the decision to leave and book another hotel.

Had to ask to change rooms as booked a room with a view but didn’t get one. Pool too far from hotel, lots of steps, hard to get up steep drive in the wet in a van.
• Xinyu (10/5): 超乎想象 - 这家酒店是斯里兰卡此行的意外惊喜，价格经济实惠，但享受的是最真诚且用心的关怀。酒店景色远远超乎图片所示，坐落在大山之中，静谧舒适。餐厅经理和伙计们都很用心。还有两位帮忙提行李的小伙子，很负责。至于很多评价中提到的“楼梯”也正是酒店最大特色-傍山而建，由于酒店会帮我们提行李，所以也不是问题。

The hospitality of the hotel staff was superb, especially the receptionist Dewni, who gave us her best support. We truly enjoyed our stay!

• Thomas (3/5): Alojamiento con personal incompetente - La comida era aceptable, la ubicación alejada de Kany (30min mínimo en coche) pero tranquilo en zona montañosa con selva). Hotel bastante alejado, difícil acceso, personal incompetente que no resuelve ninguna petición. Al check-in tuvimos que esperar más de 1h para que nos dieron la habitación (llegamos a las 15h) y no nos contestaron a las preguntas del porqués. El personal sólo ríe pero no contesta. Preguntamos en el hotel para reservar taxi para el día siguiente para llegar a la estación del tren pero resulta que no reservaron ningún traslado. Aunque nos levantamos a tiempo y nos dábamos cuenta a tiempo tardaron más de 1h en conseguir un vehículo con el resultado que perdimos el tren. El personal sólo contestó que el taxi viene en 5min (durante más de 1h) y tampoco me pasaron con un responsable o manager. Tampoco nos habían preparado desayuno para llevar aunque nos lo confirmaron el día anterior. Nefasta la gestión, sin disculpas, sin compensaciones. Recomiendo absolutamente no reservar en este hotel. Todo el mundo puede equivocarse pero se deberían asumir los errores.

Mooie grote kamer met oude grandeur. faciliteiten prima. Goede douche. Ligt hoog in heuvels, maar in 5 minuten goed te bereiken Na trage bediening restaurant dag 1 (na 35 minuten nog geen ontbijt), was dag 2 alles tip top in orde. Is allemaal net niet meer in tiptop conditie.

• Karen (7/5): Mooi oud hotel maar aan vernieuwing toe om de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding te blijven garanderen. - De oude stijl van het hotel was mooi en ook de kamer en badkamer was zeer mooi. Personeel was behulpzaam. Het hotel is verouderd en de faciliteiten worden niet goed onderhouden. Het was waarschijnlijk ooit een mooi hotel maar nu is het zeer verouderd. Dat is jammer. Ondanks dat er veel ruimtes aan renovatie toe waren en ongebruikt waren, waren ze bezig met uitbouwen. Dit zorgde voor lawaaihinder. Wat het ontbijt betrof vonden we dit niet aan de verwachtingen voldoen. Ze zeiden dat er een buffet was maar er stonden enkel lege warmhoudbakken. Daarnaast wat koekjes die oud waren en koffie en fruitsap. Je kon ei bestellen. Maar de kwaliteit stond helemaal niet in verhouding met de prijs. We hebben dit gemeld en kregen een vergoeding.

I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and the serene atmosphere of the hotel's surroundings. Overall, I would highly recommend the Eagle Regency Kandy Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay in Kandy.Hope to visit again with my family as well.

The rooms were in neat condition, and overall the property has a relaxing vibe. While some of the staff were inexperienced, their efforts were appreciated and it didn’t majorly affect our stay.
• Karlien (4/5): Zoek een ander hotel dan deze! - De eerdere negatieve reviews kloppen inderdaad. Veel te ver weg, dus continu gedoe om er te komen en weg te gaan. Personeel niet gezien. Alleen bij het inchecken, maar dat ging heel rommelig. Welkomstdrankjes van vorige mensen stonden nog voor onze deur en zijn daar de gehele tijd blijven staan. Alles is wat verouderd. Ontbijt is matig en avondeten vrij prijzig voor wat je krijgt. Zwembad ver weg onder aan de berg en aan de andere kant van de weg, dus de kinderen hebben daar geen gebruik van gemaakt. Zou iedereen adviseren een leuk hotel in de stad te nemen en niet helemaal hier te gaan zitten. Voor het uitzicht hoef je het niet te doen en onze kamer was zelfs tegen de achterkant van het restaurant aan, dus we keken uit op een blinde muur. Al met al echt zonde van ons geld en waren blij dat we weer weg konden.

• Augustin (10/5): Superbe - On est devait rester dans cet hôtel pendant 3 jours de base mais on a prolongé tellement que l’on s’y sentait super bien. Les boss nous ont bien aidé pour organiser le reste de notre voyage, ils nous ont aider pour organiser un safari, aider à louer des scooter, nous ont organiser des cours de surf. L’hôtel est super bien placé, en plein centre de arugam bay et à proximité de la plage.

• Maria (5/5): Not value for money - The view from the room was nice. The rooms need more décor. No carpets, no painting. The bathroom is smelly and the place is full of mold. There are too many stairs to reach the room, the reception and the dining area. Food was ok, but the local curry was not available at all times.

• lenore (6/5): Restaurant staff were very good - The large rooms and good food The room had a strong smell of cigarettes. Our booking was mixed up and it took 45 minutes to get it right. They then overcharged us $50 for wine we didn’t have
• Rebecca (4/5): - Beautiful surroundings & pools. Lack of service. Staff didn’t seem to know what was going on. The pool area was dirty with beer cans etc there for 2 days. Beds really creaky. It felt like there wasn’t any staff or other clients at the hotel. It was also undergoing loud construction at night.
• Wojciech (7/5): Good hotel -but only becasue of view - Very good location (> 2 km uphill from the main road) with nice views on the hill; however, the tuk-tuk with 3 people barely managed to climb the last stretch. Quiet and peaceful with a quite nice room. Few guests, nice restaurant with an open view of nature. First of all, the service is clueless. We asked for a duvet for a single bed 5 times over the course of 12 hours. Moreover, it's unpleasant that you have to pay in advance and the hotel uses an unfavorable currency conversion rate. There were only sugary dishes for breakfast; you have to order something like eggs or an omelette. Furthermore, the restaurant is located several floors below the hotel part. Its service also leaves much to be desired, as they don't understand what you say and do not bring the things you request (e.g. vegetables). Instead, they offer breakfast water, which you have to pay for upon checkout, which is absolutely scandalous. Room service also did not function at all. The hotel has some problem with a bee invasion and seems to be poisoning them, as there are countless bees lying around everywhere.
• gareth (6/5): Good room that served its purpose. - The family room was amazing. The location is out of town but it is very green all around the hotel. Just make sure you have the Pick Me App. Unfortunately my son cut himself on the edge of the pool which has tiles missing. Breakfast was not as good as everywhere else we have stayed.

• Chiara (6/5): - Gentili e accoglienti, camera molto spaziosa e con tutto il necessario. Ristorante molto buono anche la colazione. Dalle foto sembra molto più bello della realtà. Scomodo da raggiungere e lontano da Kandy. Struttura vecchia. Junior suite vicino al ristorante rumorosissima. Piscina non bella.
