Guest Reviews
- Ray (6/5): - When I first walked in, the temperature was a sweltering 85-90 degrees and extremely humid. I had to leave the door open and turn the air condition on high for an hour to cool the room down. The refrigerator didn't work and I wasn't notified of that beforehand.
The carpet has a sticky feel to it, a screw holding the bed frame to the wall came loose, and foam to cushion the bed frame against the wall was visible. That comes across as shoddy workmanship.
The bed was comfortable and I did sleep well, but I won't be returning.
- SUSAN (8/5): - This was a stopover on a road trip and worked well as such. Not far off the highway, accessible, cozy. It was clean, inexpensive with e everything I needed. On a main road but not too much traffic.
- Frankie (2/5): - Smell was terrible!! Sheets weren’t clean!! Refrigerator was unplugged n stunk!
- Steven (10/5): - I love this place. Really good friendly service and very clean rooms
- James (8/5): - Older place showing some wear. Okay for a nights stay. Price was ok.
- Steven (10/5): - It was a friendly conversation and very clean
- David (2/5): - I had reservations made a few days ahead and when I arrived, they said no rooms were available. Found a Super 8 a few miles down the road.
- Adamps (2/5): - The room was dirty
- Will (2/5): - Double charged me, smelled like smoke, full of cockroaches, bugs in the bed. Need I say more
- Mark (4/5): - Dirty and ants
- April (2/5): - The place stunk it was absolutely disgusting in the rooms it was very dirty sheets were still wet it was the west hotel I’ve ever stayed In
- Ciara (10/5): - Decent quick stay.
- Eric (10/5): - Good service thank you
- carlos (6/5): - I did the reservation for 1 week .... when i got there , the person in charge was not available, i was told to come back in an hour ... when i went back, the lady seemed a little upset, there was no smile, no welcome ... the room was.big but you could hear the noise from outside, which might wake you up in the middle of the night ... the heating was nice, it worked properly .... nobody cleaned my room for that whole week , which makes me wonder if they do that with all the guests, meaning, if you stay there for a long time l, will they ever clean the room or will they wait until you leave?? .... i was supposed to checkout monday at 11am but i did it a day before (Sunday at 11am) . I hope they reimburse to my credit card the night i didnt stay
- Noah (10/5): - Easy stay on the road
- Matthew (4/5): - Poor house keeping didn’t come around and ask if I need or anything
- Hamzeh (4/5): - the room smells so bad. even I couldn't sleep. it is noisy. very close to a major road.
I have been a customer of Expedia for more than 25 years, this is worst motel I ever reserved through Expedia.
- Michael (6/5): - I generally like this type of motel since you can park your motorcycle outside the door and have an outdoor porch outside your room door to sit and have a cigar after a long ride, also relatively inexpensive. I was surprised that they would not accept my Amex Card since I used it to Book the Room on Hotels.com. I asked how they would get their money if I did not show up, they said the would not get the payment despite their cancellation policy. At a bare minimum I would expect a motel to have an ice maker on site but there was none so I had to get back on the MC and ride to Sheetz to get my ice which sucked after doing a 250 mile+ ride already that day. This is your typical $60 per night motel and was what I expected to find except for the lack of Ice on site. The bed and pillows were comfortable/clean and the cable TV worked with bottom tier cable service
- Jeffrey (2/5): A "Flea bag" motel...calling it an inn is Joke - 90 % Terrible,...read below
- jefferson (4/5): Be careful - Had a king size bed overall not bad but as I put my stuff in the room and turned my back my passport and birth certificate came up missing.
- Erin (2/5): - I am not picky… anywhere for me to rest in between working 16 hour shift generally works.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Even if they offer you a room for free.
1. The rooms smelled so bad- mildew mixed with exploded toilet water. I had to air out the place for over an hour before I could close the door.
2. Not a single appliance was plugged in.
3. It doubles as a homeless shelter.
Whether I paid for the room or not- had it not already been 0130 and needing to wake up at 0530- I would have left and considered it a financial loss.
There is no excuse for something being that disgusting. I am a smoker and have several cats in my home- this smell was worse than anything I could have imagined!
When working in Bloom- I’ve stayed at the old Teeny Town- it was a luxury sweet compared to this $hit hole
- Raymond (6/5): Disaster - We book a double queen room and got a single king. We book a non-smoking room and we got a smoking room. We booked into a motel that was supposed to be pet friendly and we find out there’s no pets allow lady managing it. Accommodated us with our pets for $10 more a night Holes in the wall, the carpet should’ve been changed out years ago around the tub caulking was falling off. There’s no place to hang your clothes. The air conditioning and the refrigerator turned off. We had to turn them on when we got there no ice if you wanted any, they had a cooler in the office. Were you can buy water and soda , it’s a good thing we need that room to lay our heads down at night. We were so busy with family and business and friends that we were probably not there 95% of the time I would not recommend that.
- Scott (10/5): - Good motel. Convenient.
- Erik (6/5): - If you just want a bed for the night at a reduced rate, it works. The walls are thin and the bathroom is tight. You get what you pay for.
- Jerome (2/5): Hotels.com what are U doing to me? Disappointed - Upon arrival at 10:00 pm, the owner & manager informed me that the Red Maple Inn doeturday s not have a contract with Hotels.com and has not had a contractl with Hotels.com for a long time. Even though I had a Hotels.com confirmation #, it was not valid. I had to sleep in my car. I did stay at the Red Maple Inn the following 3 nights by reserving those nights directly with the manager. Hotels.com should not charge my credit card. I will dispute any attempts to charge my Discover card
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is in a bad area of town. Very run down area. Manager says he canceled my reservation, but I never got notice. When I got there, it was then I was informed I had no reservation.
- K.M. (2/5): - The price is great but you get what you pay for. Old, run down, most rooms seem to be residential with many questionable people lurking around. The carpet had burn stains, the toilet and tub were old and stained, the toilet paper was so cheap I could see through it, no wifi service, no phone, no ironing board or iron. The water in the shower changed rapidly from freezing to scalding and I had to step out with the water running to avoid getting burned. The cheap linoleum was so slick with a bit of water that I slipped and fell. Disgusting property. Stay far, far away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice - Was nice and quiet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like that it was easy to reach.
What i dislike was that the neighbor where fighting and bother me to sleep , the wall was to thin so very noisy
- paul (6/5): Vintage Motel with Baltic Ave rent. - This is an old hotel. The price was half of any other. Good place to stay cheap , but not to impress the significant other. Ac was cool, fridge and tv worked toilet flushed and had hot water. No bugs, clean enough. Half the residents looked semi permanent with their lawn chairs and nightstands out on the walk. Maybe one of the last motels that uses a key and cathode ray tube tv. Ok place to stay if you are low on funds or thrifty.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - N electronic key - haven't seen that in 10+ years. No phone in room. Was not given WiFi access. Had to go back to office to get it. No shampoo or anything. Noise from Fridge was louder than AC. Remote control for TV would not turn on/off or adjust vol. Had to get up to do that. Shower head was aprox 5 feet high. Had to bend over to rinse my hair. Bed was made with t & B sheets & blanket when I checked in on Fri. When they services my room on Sat, it had the same sheets, but they took away the blanket & added a bedspread, instead. It was a sunny warm weekend, but the room felt very damp.only available outlets in room were above the waste basket right next the sink.
