• jennritchie (10/5): Pretty, affordable, comfortable and convenient. - The hotel is in a great spot the Bishop Arts district. It's so close to Methodist Hospital too. Once we got the access codes for the door, parking and room it was perfect. We stay in the Machu Picchu suite. We may have heard folks a bit being on the 1st floor coming in the door but otherwise it was pretty quiet. There is no elevator stairs to the 2nd floor but they tell you that in their description. The size of the room was great. Design was gorgeous. Tasteful touches and lots of character. I loved the lounge couch a lot and used it. Bathroom and shower were clean. Small fridge in room w/ access to ice machines and some coffee and teas and soda and microwave in the lobby. Nice dining room table in the lobby which made it a comfy place to enjoy food we brought back to the hotel to eat. The pool was pretty and clean, had a grill and tables and seemed to get good sun all day. We found great spots like a juice place, a bowl place, coffee and a taco place and a market just 5 few mins away that was awesome too. Five minutes from the Kessler Theater and so many cute food spots!! We will def return!! It also wasnt hard to get into downtown during traffic (which starts at like 3 in Dallas BTW) It's helpful to know that the hotel is not staffed (that I saw but must be folks around and cleaning etc) No one is sitting at a front desk. It's fancy and comfy and DIY. This means after booking you will end up in an automated system where you have to upload your ID and your credit card for a security deposit. If this part of the process isn't for you (it's the only way to get your access information for the space) this is not a good fit for you.

The quick response regarding final steps for the needed codes was a brand new experience to me, but it was seamless and smooth. The room was charming. That I was not able to extend my stay. • Cylie (10/5): Relaxing, comfy, safe, and clean. - Clean, convenient and we enjoyed the coffee bar downstairs. There was complimentary coffee, tea and ice machines. Towels were available for guest to grab as well so it made not having house keeping okay due to the face we were worried about not having enough. It felt safe and secure. Honestly, we don’t have anything to say about the property we didn’t like. The staff answered the phone promptly for not being on premise and being a “self check in” establishment.

• Susan (8/5): If you can find it and get in, you're good. - Once I got into the hotel, it was good. The room was lovely. Artsy. Nice coffee bar in the commons area. Whew, had some challenges. First, the hotel is in a residential area, so its signage is very small. And it doesn't look like a hotel, so I'm confused at the start. Second, I couldn't find the hotel entrance. I parked on the street and walked allllll the way around the block (carrying my luggage) and finally asked a condo resident who was on her balcony. She pointed to the building next door (same property), but I still didn't see an entrance. Asked a dog walker, and she led me around a hedge and down a stone path to the entrance. Third, the entrance was locked. A sign on the door said to check my text messages for an entry code. I didn't have a message, so I called the posted number. He apologized and said he would send (or resend) the text. It was getting dark, and I was juggling luggage, purse, phone, etc., so I asked him just to tell me the number. He hesitated but did, then shared the code for the room and another code for the parking area. So. Many. Codes. So my advice to travelers on this hotel: make sure you have a text message from them before arriving. And if you were born in the last century, like I was, the whole hip, techy, no-contact process may have you hiding under the covers once inside.

• Heather (8/5): Cute room, clean beds, NO reception. Pool area not as nice as photos. - Unique worldly decor which I appreciate. I also loved that they had a fridge and communal microwave and free coffee bar. There is NO reception. The door code they gave me in the email did not work. They were lucky cleaning staff was there and helped me get in because it was cold and windy out and I was stuck outside. I felt bad for the cleaning staff who was forced into doing reception work when I doubt she is paid for that.

• Mohammed (2/5): - The overall experience was disappointing and fell far below what you would expect from a proper hotel stay. The shower was barely functioning — the water pressure was extremely weak, and the shower itself was clearly worn out and poorly maintained, with visible limescale buildup. The toiletries were of very poor quality. The self check-in and check-out process felt overly automated and impersonal. the stay feel transactional rather than welcoming. Hospitality is about comfort, quality, and attention to detail — and unfortunately, this place lacked all three. Overall, it does not deliver the level of service expected from a hotel.

Great themes in each reservation and very very bougie atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE this luxury hotel away from the city. Could offer beverages/ snacks. Small breakfast bar. Games room maybe. It’s a great place over all.

• Susan (10/5): Superbowl Sunday Getaway - This is my favorite place to stay for a quick weekend getaway! The location near the Bushoo Arts District is excellent -- within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shopping. Love the unique decor of each of the rooms. Got the same room that I stayed in during my very first visit. Bedding was very comfy and had a weighted blanket. Room was very clean. Enjoyed the free coffee downstairs in the lounge area. Hotel was very quiet. There was a hiccup with the door code not working, but a phone call to the staff fixed it immediately. Heed the signs regarding where to park in the gated lot because towing IS enforced...I unfortunately learned that the hard way during a previous stay.

• Gabe (7/5): It is great if you do not need any assistance of any kind. - It was beautiful and clean. The reason I booked that particular room is that the pictures showed to have a small couch. Something someone could stretch out in or maybe a child could lay down on. The room had no small couch, but had a chair instead. Also, there a cleaning crew, but no additional staff. It is set up great as far as self check in and all of the codes rather than dealing with a lost key card, but I tried calling to get an additional blanket and pillow. It took a lot of tries before someone picked up. When they did, they said they were going to be there in approximately an hour which made it 11 pm. I never received the additional blanket and pillow.

Loved The Bishop Art district and the neighborhood it’s all tucked into. The property is very clean along with the room. Cool furniture in the room. The bed was cozy with great pillows. A small mishap for our confirmed early arrival. The cleaning crew wasn’t done by our confirmed time. The property manager called me right away after the cleaning crew called them to inform him. He offered up another room for us to wait in while they finished. We asked to leave our things in our room and changed into our swimsuits downstairs in the restroom. Hit the pool until they were finished. It was handled fast and easy!

• Marian (8/5): Nice accommodation in Bishop Arts District. - It was a nice accommodation, located not far from the downtown area of the Bishop Arts neighborhood (5 minutes by car). It offers free parking and a lounge area with microwave and ice machine. It wasn’t noisy, in case you are a light sleeper like me. The room was big and clean, with a comfortable bed. The check in and check out were fast and easy. The moldy smell of the lounge area and the fact that it didn’t offer breakfast.

I had the Singapore room and it was boring compared to other rooms. Lacked color. The shower floor grout was stained and kind of gave me the ick. The towel ring is about to fall out of the wall. There appeared to be a fancy toilet seat but it didn’t work. The baseboard by the shower is water damaged. The thermostat seems to be set on a schedule and would change the temperature setting on me. I set it to 71 and woke up to it set in the low 60s. Could asp benefit from some blackout curtains as the parking lot lights light up the room.
