- Helen A (9/5): Friendly and helpful staff; character filled riad in a medina with local atmosphere - Staff were very friendly and helpful; the cleaner lady carried my suitcase up the stairs which was helpful, and Natalie printed out some documents for me. They allowed me a slightly early check in, which was handy. The interior area of the riad is simply stunning. The room itself was comfortable and amazingly quiet considering the bustling souk/medina it is in the middle of. Bed was comfortable; wardrobe had plenty of hangers for clothes. I always had hot water in the shower. Although the breakfast featured mainly breads and cakes, which I don't eat, when I enquired, they provided me with boiled eggs for my last two nights of the stay. Thank you staff! Note: the kitchenette had a stove top and microwave but only a mug, no cooking equipment or cutlery. When I mentioned that, I was told that I could borrow any of the crockery from downstairs but what I really needed was a saucepan. I think you have to ask for things at this hotel! I only just read that there was a rooftop that I could have gone to! No one told me about that. Explicit instructions to give to taxis would have been handy as there are two entrances to the riad from the medina; unfortunately I was dropped off at the longer one. I asked for a light to be fixed a few times but I don't think it was ever fixed (just inside the entrance) so at night it could be dark near the 'kitchenette'.

Breakfast was also very plentiful. The elevator wasn't working so we had to lift our luggage to the room and it was very hot (35-40 degree weather).

- Nuria (9/5): Great value! - The Riad is so beautiful and the rooms are so well furnished that I had to double check the Booking.com app to make sure I was in the right place for what I paid.😊 Mohammed was very kind and helpful and showed me a few rooms to choose from. All rooms have a very strong aircon and the bathroom has a hot shower. The Riad also has a very comfortable and large rooftop, with tables and long chairs. The location, although within the boundaries of a little zouk, is convenient if you want to stay outside of the Fes medina but within walking distance. Also, if you are traveling light, the train station is about 20-30 min walk. A few minutes walk from the Riad, you have Bab Makina and the amazing Jnan Sbil gardens---many restaurants in front of the gardens. Breakfast is self-service and there is plenty to choose from...hot or cold. Nothing I can think of.

The atmosphere felt like an oasis, and honestly, from the outside, you couldn't begin to imagine what awaited inside. Yet, what you encountered was pure magic, and the tranquility you experienced felt as though you were transported to an entirely different realm. The breakfast was nice I especially was very found of msemmen with honey, never tasted such honey. Muhammad's hospitality was nothing short of exemplary. Throughout my stay, he demonstrated an unparalleled level of attentiveness, consistently anticipating and addressing every need that arose with unwavering dedication. His genuine warmth and willingness to assist, always accompanied by a welcoming smile, made me feel not just welcomed, but truly valued as a guest. Under his care, I never once experienced a moment of feeling overlooked or neglected; instead, I felt embraced by his hospitality, creating an experience that surpassed all expectations.

Is just inside the Medina with taxis and tour pick up a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast was complete and very satisfying. In-house dinner and spa also available. Inner courtyard was regal great background for internet links to home and work. Overall, it was great value. Highly recommended.

- Jenni (10/5): Over and above - We are two women travelling together, and we loved Palais Raid Reda! It's a truly beautiful building. Reda and Mohammed were just fantastic giving directions to various sights and a telephone number to call if we got lost! They went over and above what was expected and even posted our postcards home. The Spa is also fabulous - I had my first Hamman bath - an amazing experience.
- Christian (8/5): A beautiful riad in the heart of the medina with excellent customer service. - I loved how authentically Moroccan Riad Reda feels. I loved the reception when we arrived. No check in desk for us. We were whisked away to a comfortable sitting area where we were served sweet tea and a cookie. "No sugar?" my wife was asked as the host had already taken note that my wife is diabetic without us even mentioning it. We felt like family. Yes the riad was empty of most guests on the day of our arrival so they could certainly give us the extra attention, but the next morning breakfast was served to us on our own special table in a private glassed in room. Mohammad treated us like royalty. I was curious about the pictures on the wall and was given full explanations of who was whom in each picture hung on the walls around us. The hotel lobby is spectacular. The rooms themselves are more modern and perfectly comfortable with plenty of room for sitting. If you want to feel like you are in old Morocco stop in just to see the place. There is an elevator to the rooms but the stairwell is open and bright. The location is perfect if you want to be in the old medina. It is an experience. Well there was a bed side light out that could have been fixed before we left. There was also the method of payment which to be fair I was warned about before I arrived. They don't take a credit card. Seems a little odd in this day and age. That said when I realized that, they did walk with me to the nearest atm which I may have felt uncomfortable with considering the amount of cash I had to take out. But like everything else here service comes first. Just like the assistance on the day of our departure when Mohammed walked with us to our taxi awaiting on the closest street to the riad.

It is close to both Palace in Fes and the main Medina of Fes, while providing a leisure stay. The staff is also v helpful, especially Mohammad, who is responsible for general upkeep and the other person who sits at the front desk. Will absolutely recommend it to everyone.

- Manuelat (8/5): we hope to come back to visit other cities in Morocco. - Typical breakfast met our needs. Very good reception and beautiful structure. Fascinating the internal courtyard and the terrace from the sunset. Unfortunately we arrived on a day of celebration and we found nothing (anything at all) open on the first day. We had to change our plans but finally got to see the sites we set out to do beyond Fez. As important as holidays are in every country, the arrival of tourists to whom entry is granted should still be taken into consideration. Otherwise the impact for many people is negative. Luckily we still found assistance in the Riad and the guys were exceptional

- Mariko (9/5): Best busines hotel in Fes. - The location. The hotel is not located in the Old Medina but all the tourist points such as ternary, Merinides Hill, synagogue are walking distance. It’s located in the local busy area, so you can also enjoy the local daily atmosphere without annoying touting. The hotel facility is good enough, you can keep your bottle of cold water in the fridge! None.
- Mayaw (9/5): Great real Riad stay in Fez, for all type of tourists! - That was a great stay in Fez and would recommend that to all travelers! To feel the real atmosphere of the Riad. To have the old Medina around a corner. Great staff doing a luxury service. Very much supportive with all sightseeing advises, welcome, helping with a taxi to the train station. Big rooms with all necessary equipment and cleaning service. The patio is soooo charming that you may sit in there all the time. You feel as in palace or even museum. Mint tea delivery and extremely kind service staff, not to much disturbing not to less service. So properly balanced! And… a rooftop option to sit, relax, enjoy the view and listen to muesli prayers from above and watch how the city is living. Close also to the Jewish quarter which is so worth visiting. Simply nothing :)
- James (9/5): Like being at home in a palace - Riad Reda is a beautiful ancient building in part of the Fez Medina that has been renovated as a hotel. It's small and welcoming so there are not a large number of facilities but what makes this hotel special are the magnificent staff. They are like your family in Fes and make sure you are comfortable, looked after and safe. Soukayna, the concierge, is the kindest front of house hotel staff member I've ever met. She checks every day to make sure you have all you need and can help you with tours, problems etc. She helped me learn some Darija to use in the local shops! Despite being right in the middle of a busy market, it's always quiet inside. Moroccan riads are traditional houses so you need to be aware they face inwards to a courtyard. This means some rooms don't have outward facing windows (which is normal for these buildings). The rooms are very comfortable though, but the best thing is to relax in the central coutyard, enjoying the beautiful architecture, drinking mint tea, and talking to the staff.

Best Riad we stayed in during the whole trip. 11/10! The location wasn't great. Immediately outside was quite dirty and noisy late at night but that's hardly the staff's fault. They were incredibly attentive and friendly!

I am not fan of air condition but this one was perfectly placed so I was not afraid of being sick after having it on all night long. cute little cats in Riad ❤️ which are always ready to cuddle. This Riad is just a masterpiece. well positioned between Jewish and Muslim part of the city. everything in walking distance.

The location is safe and convenient to explore the medina and to find your way on foot from the nearest parking place. The staff is extremely helpful - Mohamed picked us up quickly from the parking place and Soukayna welcomed us with a top notch introductory talk on how to navigate the Medina safely and make the most of our stay!
- David (9/5): Very cute, affordable and welcoming Riad! - The staff was very nice and took great care of us. Made sure we had everything and knew all about Fes. Even made sure to get us a taxi that would turn the "compteur" on so that we don't pay too much. Free breakfast, coffee and tea is greatly appreciated. Our room was great and they let us pay over Booking or using a credit card while many places insist on us withdrawing cash as an ATM. Last morning they told us we could request other elements for breakfast (eggs and other forms of proteins). This should be clear when they explain the breakfast. That said, the buffet part is great and we loved it :)
- Noureddine (2/5): Must read my comment - Decor Design We were impressed when we saw the pictures and comments ,but we had really bad experience, when we get there ,there was no receptionist, we have to call to find someone,no dress code ,everything was dark inside,they were kind confused, maybe they were slow when we get there don't know,they get us to the room,too small and really dark,our kitchen didn't had no utensils, no plates ,not even trash can, when we use the bathroom sink ,it was leaking, here is the worst part,at 2 pm night,it was a fight right outside side window from riad neighbors ,breakfast was really really really bad,it was limited,cheese and slice meat should be in ice,no moroccan tea,no eggs,no moroccan food ,one thing that I should be aware ,location isn't safe ,lot of bad dudes around,as moroccan I will advise them to work more on hospitality, cleanliness, fix broken sinks,variety on breakfast items,music. Sorry ,I hate to write this bad comments,but it's really a wake up call to be better and good luck.

- Sarah (10/5): AMAZING WITH CAPITAL A - I was very happy with the service from the staff from the minute we arrived until the moment we left. We had booked a shuttle service from the hotel and the driver ( Ahmed) was very kind and professional. One of the staff from the RIAD came to pick us up so he could walk us to the Riad as it is located in the middle of the market. During the day its very cool to experience however at night, it can be a bit scary on your first night but after day 2, you are a local then you are not scared anymore. Upon arrival, we were received by the front desk staff, Mohammed ( Mo) who explained professionally everything about the hotel, amenities, and he even helped us to navigate perfectly through the city and mingle with the locals. Mo went above and beyond to give the best service at the hotel and we had the best experience because of him. We are definitely coming back at this Riad if we ever return to Fez. Another thank you note goes to Zukeyna ( Im sorry if I wrote it wrong ) who was very helpful in advising us where to find the best eats and answering our questions with a smile on her face. In overall, we were very very satisfied with the service provided by the staff. Its not that we didn't like it but perhaps something that can be improved ( Millennial problems ), some of the rooms in the back have a weak wifi signal. Perhaps the Riad can instal another router somewhere for better connection.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff will tend to your needs. If you come by car, you will have to find parking on the street nearby. It looks dicy but the street guatds took good care of my car and I only paid a few euros a night.

No power in facility due to elect. problem on 2nd day stay for whole day and night, so very uncomfortable for night stay. Manager apologize next day. It should be discounted for 2nd day stay

There was a problem during the night with a room air conditioner but they apologized and got us another room. They also arranged for a great tour guide for the next day. The property manager checked in with us repeatedly to make sure everything was going well - and helped us get a taxi to the train station on a Friday when there were fewer cabs. The location is a bit out of the way from the blue gate/souk entrance (15-20 minute walk) but a taxi is an option. A note: there is a short walk to a road where cars are allowed.

We were astonished at the size and beauty of the Moorish architecture when we walked in from the Medina. The riad has great rooms, excellent WiFi, great facilities, brilliant breakfasts and dinners. The place also has a wholesome personal touch to all the staff who work there. Our host, Souka, was so amazing. She gave us inside tips and advice about the best things to do in Fes and Morocco, and crucial lessons on how to engage the Moroccan culture. Nothing was too much for her to handle. She knew everything. We couldn't have survived without Souka and her advice! I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Morocco in the future. Nothing. It was perfect.

Special praise goes to assistant manager Suka, who went completely out of her way to accommodate us. The Riad is beautiful, conveniently placed in the “newer” Medina, just a ten minute walk from the old town. I would also advise you try the dinner option with the Riad - a bit more peaceful than eating out, and we got served a wonderful chicken tagine. Thank you!

- Anonymous (10/5): An oasis from the “hectic” Medina streets. - Soukayna the receptionist was very personable and welcoming, had some tips and an electronic map provided on arrival, and the manager even met us in the street after we texted we could find the location. the breakfast was nice with meats and cheeses, croissants, and corn flakes for the less adventurous eaters. the room was very modern as compared to the whole of the riad which maintains its authentic historical appearance. the room includes hot plate, microwave, and refrigerator without any items to use to cook.

A roof top could be arranged better, so the breakfast could be served there. The staff english was perfect and smiling all the time. Spa Staff could speak a little bit of english. Bar could be opened but that was ramadan fault.

The views are spectacular to see fez with a panoramic view and a mint tea. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The decoration of the Riad or Palais and the rooms is impeccable. The area of the hotel has all kinds of shops less than 1 minute away and easy taxi access given its proximity to the medina door. I recommend it very strongly.
