- Sarah (10/5): Pleasant oasis of calm near the hustle bustle - Lovely little hotel tucked away from the hectic-ness that can be Bangkok. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A fairly simple buffet style breakfast can be had on the roof terrace, which makes for a nice start to the day.

- Rob (8/5): - The Red Door has very nice helpful staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a balcony to enjoy a cold beer. View of the river is essentially not there but if you are there for a view, go somewhere else. Location a bit difficult to locate as tucked away, but close to everything and very quiet away from main street traffic and craziness. Great value, would definitely stay again.

Etwas versteckt und nicht ganz so leicht zu finden. Empfehlenswert für ein paar Tage um Bangkok zu erkunden. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der unmittelbaren Nähe.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel, but avoid the ground floor. - Red Door is a new and quite good hotel, located in a quiet area near the Chao Phraya river, but still just a short walk from the action in Khaosan Rd. Rooms are nice. The breakfast is self-service style - simple, but plentiful. I would probably give Red Door a better review if I had not been placed at the ground floor. From the windows and balcony I stared into a high wall, just a half meter from the balcony, making a stay at the balcony rather claustrophobic. So ask for a room higher up, and I think you will be satisfied with your stay at Red Door.

This is true compared to more expensive hotels but we were happy with it and there was certainly enough to get the day off to a good start. Also had a really good honesty bar for buying beers etc plus a washing machine. All good and fantastic value.
