Room was very cold and I found it hard to control the temperature. Gym is good but the cable machine does not have the equipment for triceps push-downs etc, no ropes or V bar etc

Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, je n'ai pas pu tester le restaurant malheureusement. Toutefois, j'ai pu voir qu'un service en chambre était possible et que les plats proposés sont variés et appétissants. Le check-out se fait à 12h en dernière horaire ce qui est très arrangeant pour ceux qu'ils veulent dormir un peu plus !

Happy with the facilities, as we used gym and it was quite good for hotel gym. Could improve the staff with English ability in case they would bump into a foreigner. If they could add water dispenser and microwave would be a great. Protip: going in with the car to the lobby quite hassle as you have to drive around the block but if you just stop in front of the hotel and walk to the lobby would be fine.

Fiftin (10/5): Perfect stay, highly recommended! - Spacious room, also the room amenities and kitchen equipment are complete and very well thought supplies. They even provide the laundry detergent. Loved the coffee pods every day! Also the bar open till late, near the smoking area. There’s a famous nasi padang and supermarket just across the hotel. Near Galaxy Mall. Most of all, the level of service and the staff, impressive! Thought Bali is the best, till I experience staying in Surabaya, particularly in Oakwood Hotel. Well done everyone! Maybe a bit deep clean in the shower area on regular basis to maintain the color of the tiles. They should change the dining table, dangerous if we lean on one side, not stable.

Keepyercool (8/5): High quality hotel in Surabaya near Galaxy Mall, this will be my go-to hotel in Surabaya from now on - Rooms are very large and quite high-spec, reflecting a major up-front investment when the hotel was built maybe around 10 years ago. Huge amount of drawer, cupboard and desk space. All staff, from the main entrance, to the car park, Front Desk and breakfast restaurant were very helpful and friendly (especially Pak Ary), and the breakfast selection was excellent. Some minor maintenance issues in the room, such as very slow draining shower and wash basin traps. Also some confusion over the swimming pool(s): we found the the relatively small and crowded indoor pool, yes, but if there is an outdoor pool as advertised on Booking.com, we never found it.

Hongguang (10/5): Overall I am very satifsied living in this hotel and will recommend it to others. - 1. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is very comfortable to sleep. 2. Before we check out, we requested the laundry service, it was completed before the time we book to collect which is convenient for us. 3. The hotel is close to one shopping centre, within walking distance for 10mins. 4. Staff are friendly and willing to help. 1. One day the toilet was blocked. But the service was really quick to resolve the issue. 2. Every morning after the breakfast, it requests me to sign on the invoice, which confuses me if the breakfast will get charged twice from my deposit. But after the explanation from the reception desk, it helps me clarify.

Mariana (9/5): Superb - The location of the hotel is great, particularly close to a big shopping mall / supermarket. The facilities are as described, and breakfast was really good! The staff was also very kind and always ready to help. I was able to rest well and prepare for my business trip. The only comment I have is that perhaps there could be two teabags of each type of tea, instead of just one, as I was working late and found myself out of tea.

Appreciated the professionalism of the staff. There was no spa as indicated by the hotel but instead it was a service that would be offered to your room. A bit of a false advertising there.

WanderlustUnicorn (4/5): Moldy Wall - Booked one bedroom executive for 2 nights. Full equipped equipped and spacious room. However, we just found out the moldy wall inside the wardrobe after staying for 1 night which is harmful for the respiratory organ especially for the toddler. The room is not soundproof, so you can hear the noise from the traffic. Towels teared down and holes at floor mats which is surprising especially for the standard of Oakwood brand. My in law inquired about the charger for the AV car and the response from the the duty Manager was incredible Rude and unprofessional. He stated that none of the guest inquired such a strange question. After realizing that we are staying in the Hotel, he tried to justify his behaviors.
Designview (8/5): Overall satisfied - The room was spacious and clean. There were few not working plugs such as in the kitchen. We didnt like the complimentary water glass bottle. There was no microwave.

The kind and carrying staff and managers made my stay super comfortable. If you travel to Surabaya, I would highly recommend you stay at the Oakwood hotel!

Jayadi (10/5): Joyful - staff hospitality were excellent. all staff that i met, was greeting me politely and nicely. i had trouble with electric stove in my 2nd night, and they moved me to other room with working stove. been staying here since 2019 when i visit hometown, will do again in the future. kitchen exhaust above the stove is a bit rusty, need to ask cleaning staff to clean it. but they did clean it directly. Smart TV, but you can't use the smart features (streaming apps, internet, etc) only cable TV
