Unpleasant smell from plug hole in basin, needed a good clean.

Nice grounds. Carpet in bedroom was stained, although attempts had been made to clean it. Serve yourself breakfast would have been better, rather than having to indicate which items you wanted.

• David (8/5): Convenient and adequately suitable at a fair price for my one night stay. - It was on the site of the start of the Austin 7s to the Sea Run with plenty of car parking space in a quiet location. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom and typical standard fittings for this type of hotel. The evening meal was good value and with a variety of dishes to choose from. Although it was known by the staff that the directions link on the hotel’s website when linked to Google maps did not in fact take one to the hotel but only the centre of a wide post code area no attempt seems to have been made to correct this or draw attention to it but merely to blame Google Maps. The cooked breakfast was somewhat uninspiring and served lukewarm.
