- Jedi7words (6/5): Pleasant -
- Beverley (2/5): Very poor - The location was very good. There is a picture of breakfast on the site but when I asked, the reception told me there was no such thing.
I had to ask for toilet paper everyday. It is a very worn out hotel , the staff were good but it need a good redecoration.
The manager was a bit rude
- Leonard (4/5): Will not stay again, hotel did not come up to expectations and over priced - Good location Very small room for two people. Bathroom sliding door jammed open. No shower curtain
- Sander (7/5): Would consider a long term stay due to value of the place. - Excellent location
- Ingo (10/5): Exceptional - I like staying here, the room is simple, but you have everything you need. The location is great. The staff are excellent.
- Walter (7/5): Good -
- Dusan (7/5): Good - Location is pretty ok. Reception people are also very kind and helpfull. Daily re-fill of water is also nice. Pictures looks much better then in reality. Cleaning personal not really cleans the best. The cheapeast posibble toilet paper.
- Alza (8/5): Overall, it is quite good and happy to be treated by your hospitality of your Staff. - This hotel is very value of money, and the staff ms fong is very helpful. . The locations is near with the meeting venue, that i attend during my stay. I just maybe give inputs on the wifi, it will be great if the improvement of WIFI is taken by the management. For the size of the room, i think its quite spacious, at least more than 20 Meters.
- Niels (8/5): Very good - Upstairs room very comfortable and quiet. Beds very comfy. Staff at receptionist desk very friendly and helpful. Front desk now open 24 hrs. Hotel very close to BTS Asok - walking distance. Good for those on business and do not want to spend a fortune on expensive hotels. Towels are old, worn out and in need of replacement. It would be nice if restaurant could be reopened downstairs for serving breakfast.
- Oscar (10/5): - Lots of stores nearby and the Asok train station is a few minutes away.
- Kris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmed (3/5): Poor -
- Umar (6/5): Pleasant - Best prime Area
- Craig (7/5): good overall - good location no issues
- Leene (2/5): Very poor - Location very good, fairly quiet
Pleasant staff Amenities lacking
No bedside table
No power point next to the bed
Safe not working
Aircon poor
Lift dangerous
No restaurant
- Bart (7/5): Good - location , quiet and close to public transport.
- Tim (6/5): Ok place to stay in Sukhumvit Bangkok - Great location Rooms are small and a bit shabby
- Ken (7/5): As long as you can gt a front room this place is great value for money for the area. - The room I ended up with was great value for the size of it. Larger than most hotel rooms. When I first arrived they had put me in a pokey room at the back of the hotel that had about 2 metres to the next building filled with aircon units. It was small, dark and dingy, and would have been noisy. Not very inviting. I spoke to the lady at reception and she was very helpful in changing me to a room at the front of the building. For this price if you couldn't get a room at the front, stay somewhere else. Not all hotels of this standard have a lift so it was great to see this place had one. There is nothing glaring that I would say they can do better. Just a tip though. If you want to get your laundry done don't get the hotel to do it for you. It's very expensive compared to anywhere else its about twice the price.
- Voon (5/5): Passable - Good for public transport At first air con did not give cool air which had to be fixed
Air con leaked condensation all the time
- Peep (8/5): Very good -
- tonysilly (10/5): Good location - You get what you pay for! Great spot near everything. Safe. Yes, it's an older hotel but it's clean and the girls at the front desk are nice. Good spot for solo guys :)
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Will (8/5): Very good -
- Pete (8/5): Comfortable hotel in great location. - Very good location, and although I had read comments that said it was a noisy location at night, I was not disturbed at all. Previous comments about the lift I feel are not warranted. It is a platform lift and not a full passenger lift. These lifts are used all over the world for accessibility. Asok BTS Station is about a 10 minute walk, and Phrom Phong about 15 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and convenience stores close by.
If you want a small hotel in a good location but without all the frills and at a reasonable price, this is a good choice. Nothing really and was what I expected, having experienced similar sized hotels in the sane location over the years.
- Hrabě (7/5): Good - Non-functional air conditioning in room 501, moving to 503 and then to 502 without problems. Reception very friendly, thank you* ---
- Constantinos (4/5): Disappointing -
- Akshat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leslie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alain (9/5): Superb -
- Matticus01 (8/5): Basic Hotel in a Central Location - A very basic hotel located in the heart of Sukhumvit. It’s a close walk to the BTS, MRT and tons of amenities. The price is decent for the location, just don’t expect any frills.
Our room had a very small deck. So small a chair could not fit on it. It was big enough to stand on, however the railing was maybe 90cm high so it would be far too easy to fall off. Too bad because it offered a nice city view.
- Niels (7/5): Good - Very friendly receptionist. Convenient location close to shopping centers and night life area. Safe box did not work properly
- Dylan (8/5): Very good -
- Q1736OGbarryj (2/5): Would never stay again - Pros: Location / cheap.
Cons: Dirty floor, hair on bed, tiny bathroom with toilet seat falling off, half the ceiling lights were out, and worst of all, the morning receptionist lady has absolutely zero customer service skills, super rude, would never stay there again.
- Jørgen (9/5): Superb - did not eat at the hotel nothing
- Don (9/5): Good location for discovering Bangkok. - Good Location close to Sukhumvit, Terminal 21, the new EmSphere and walking to Benjakitti Park etc.
Staff at check in were very pleasant
Room was large, facing rear so no street noise and with small balcony. Nothing really. It was all that we needed.
- Niels (5/5): Convenient and passable for short stay. - Receptionist very friendly & helpful in arranging my taxi early morning. Towels and bedding very old and worn out in need of replacement.
No 24 hrs. receptionist at front desk, in these insecure times a real need in case something happens to guests.
- Ingo (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly personal 🤗 nice and clean room with a small balcony
- Wojciech (6/5): Pleasant - Location, balcony, size of the room The moldy smell in the room, leaking piping, bathroom design, old needs refurbishment. Overpriced as per quality.
- Patrick (7/5): Good -
- Christopher (5/5): Passable - Good location. I put items on two separate tables and all items stuck to the tables. There was stuff splattered on the walls. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room.
- Tressa (8/5): Great location in the central Bangkok -
- Rui (7/5): Good - great except wifi could be a 9 rating but wifi is just too bad
- Evan (10/5): - The Drop Inn Hotel has been my go-to place in Bangkok for many years. The friendly staff, good service, cleanliness, and reasonable rates will ensure my continued business in the future.
- Phatcharaphon (10/5): Lovely stay very convenient - Minibar , friendly staff , room is clean location is very close to the main road 1 mint walk easy to find transport bts asoke and bts prompong ,taxi walking around near shopping center I need simple room easy transportation so nothing I did not like with this hotel 😃
- Chayapat (7/5): Would recommend it if you want to stay in a good location - The location was good, not that loud even tho it’s right next to bars. Some staff were nice and helpful. Wifi didn’t work that well, we stayed on the 4th floor and could have been more clean but it was alright.
- Reeves (9/5): Superb -
- Fadi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chit (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (10/5): - Great location. Nice, friendly staff. Close to everything. Would stay here again
- Journey (2/5): Very poor - Location is little OK First I booked room they give me room toilet flush not working not clean bed have look like blood sign sattaf toilet shower no pressure after I said change my room they said no more room after some time they change room charge from me 300 bath that new room was not clean was hair on floor tiles broken might be cut leg anytime Lift was not working full days while my room was 5th floor no curtains between shower and toilet . while take shower all water stay on floor
- Andrew (6/5): - Very noisy, reception desk not always staffed
- Glen (9/5): Superb - Nice clean room and good location. Staff very friendly. Would stay again. Minor point, breakfast only available from 9am. Not a problem really, plenty of options outside if out and about earlier.
- SaroginiDevi (10/5): Nice boutique hotel in Bangkok - A very small and quiet boutique hotel within walking distance from the train station. Nice clean room. The 2 ladies at the reception (forgot to get their names, one Thai and the other, the gal with the tudung) were so polite and courteous, very helpful and both provided excellent 5 star service for this small hotel. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you
- Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional value for money. Brilliant location. And of course friendly staff and Mr Cha! - The service provided by Mr Cha was exemplary in every way. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable. No request was too big or too small. The suite we were in was great and it had plenty of room, and good facilities. He was so pleasant that we shall definitely use the Drop Inn again and recommend it to all of our associates. Rooms at the back of the hotel. The front rooms are far superior and feel light and open.
- Manuel (8/5): Very good -
- Glen (8/5): Very good - Nice clean room, comfortable and plenty of space. Not a big deal, but breakfast limited and only available from 9am. Would advise booking room without breakfast and getting outside (more choice and less price!)
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Foo (8/5): Very good -
- Tineshwaren (10/5): Very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Better than expected - Very clean and comfy rooms. Great central location as well for ease of travel
- Gordon (7/5): Good -

- Epaul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tang (8/5): Very good location - location was good
- Carter (10/5): - Nice, older hotel with reasonable prices, nice staff, and a location within walking distance to shopping, entertainment, dining, and,if you insist on going further; you are only a few hundred yards from Asok MRT station and the BTS station
- Anonymous (10/5): mast - everything nothing
- Danielle (5/5): Passable - Staff are great! Soooo friendly and welcoming. The balcony can't really be called a balcony haha. It was tinnnny. Bathroom wasn't very clean.
- Cristian (10/5): Great property, helpful staff and great location -
- HeatherAllan (10/5): What a gem! - This is a little gem of a Hotel just off Sukhumvit Rd near the big shopping mall Terminal 21.
It is in a quiet Soi with plenty of restaurants close by to eat locally or use Terminal 21. The staff are both friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. Rooms are cleaned daily and ours was spacious with a small balcony. Will definitely be back.
- Allan (9/5): Superb -
- Jake (6/5): Hotel is average, poor management. If you decide to stay, take pictures and don’t touch anything. - Location right off Sukhumvit was nice.
Young male staff member was super nice, really enjoyed his energy. Bathroom shower would not stay hot. Soap dispenser was held up by scotch tape and the hotel had the audacity to accuse me of breaking it. Very very bad business practice, sad to see. Looking more at the reviews, looks like I’m not the only one they’ve accused of breaking something.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional - Great hotel.fantastic staff, great location close to bars,BTS and parks but just off the street so it's quiet. Having to leave!
- Q6525JNkevinj (10/5): Drop inn hotel - Really nice hotel, very friendly staff on reception really helpful. Nice clean rooms, close to bts and terminal 21 shopping mall. Really comfy beds, will definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. Also nice walk in the nearby parks
- Andrew (5/5): Passable - good location a bit outdated
- Al-rashid (8/5): Very good -
- Krzysztof (5/5): Staying at this hotel was not a good choice. - Good location, nice and helpful staff. Old and poorly working air conditioning in which it was impossible to regulate the temperature. As a result, the room was too warm. Lots of ants or other small ant-like bugs.
- Ali (5/5): Passable -
- William (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Great value hotel - The lady receptionist was most helpful and professional. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The hotel is not far from the Asoke BTS. It represents excellent value for money for Bangkok accommodation. This was my second stay at the Drop Inn hotel. The only thing that will dissuade me from staying again is the male receptionist working in the evenings. He is a let down to what is otherwise a perfectly good hotel, from being an overt flirt, to sulking, to not acknowledging your greetings and at one point shouting at me for something I had nothing to do with. It was the kind of rudeness I would not associate with the wonderfully hospitable Thai people.
- Paul (8/5): My usual place in Bangkok - We paid for a good sized room. Very good location for us to be based in while in Bangkok. It's not a modern hotel but it is comfortable and good value.
- Ngoc (9/5): Near Asok train station, about 600m. convenient for going out, shopping… only a bit noisy at night because of the nearby - The male receptionist is very supportive. I forgot to ask his name.
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Cristian (9/5): Superb - this is a good property in a good location, staff is friendly and accommodating
- Graham (9/5): Cool well located hotel - Room was very clean and staff friendly. You could leave the air con on when you went out so you returned to a super cool room Tried to charge me for 2 cans of orange that I never had. Although this was done in a friendly manner. The mistake was quickly resolved
- Jose (3/5): Poor -
- Ross (8/5): Very good -
- Kang (1/5): Bad - Room is not clean
Balcony is not clean
A/c is not enough for cooling down the room
Refridge is not cooling down the stuff
Encountered lots of ants and geckos
- MGoBlueBoy (4/5): Drop Inn? More like drop outs - I was a guest at this hotel for 6 nights. It was recommended to me, but I honestly do not see why. I was put in the smallest room in the whole hotel, based on what the door floor map shows.
Off the lobby, there is an enclosed area with seating to do work. I have seen other people using the table that I was forced to leave. The manager made me sit outside with a LOT of flies. I felt like a beggar or homeless person, being forced to sit outside. No one else has said anything in the past 4 days.
In fact, the other guests on the 3rd floor have routinely broken the elevator and left the hostel front door open after 23:00, which is a major security issue.
Also, the housekeeper stole my shopping bags which I had hidden under clothing. She stole my half-smoked cannabis cigarettes. And she never cleaned my room floors nor leave extra toilet paper. She retaliated against my complaints by leaving the bidet water hose running which flooded the bath and room.
I ran out of toilet paper so I could not go poop and had to go use another hotel's toilets. All because of poor housekeeping and management.
Speaking of management, the front desk clerk told me that the manager would contact me to discuss... but in the past 3 weeks, there has been zero contact.
I can not recommend this hostel.
