- NEV (9/5): On the whole it was great. - Spacious, clean and with great facilities. Ideal for a base to the Plymouth half marathon. We were there for a Saturday night, was quite noisy until about midnight!
- Michael (7/5): -
- Gabriel (10/5): Lucky to stay here regularly when I travel to Plymouth for work! - The property has 3 spacious bedrooms downstairs and a lovely large open kitchen and living room upstairs which looks out onto the big roof terrace! Another pleasant stay at this penthouse and the weather was especially gorgeous this time too!
As ever, the hosts were super clear and communicative with check in and passing on all the relevant info we needed.

- Paul (10/5): - All good
- Rebecca (8/5): Nice apartment five floors up stairs. Don't bring luggage. It's a lot of stairs - It was difficult to get in touch with the host. One of the phone numbers provided didn't work. I didn't like the difficulty in finding the property. It's obscure.
- Sarah (5/5): - Location was perfect for us Dirty mugs
Dirty dishwasher. Sent photo to owner.
Freezer door open and leakage on floor. Had to get excess ice off to close it. Again let owner know.
Not enough cutlery for us all.

- Tracey (3/5): Stressful discussing my booking daily with the owners instead of enjoying my stay. - Plymouth Hoe is a lovely place to stay and we return yearly. Great area, great facilities. The Barbican Penthouse. Someone was supposed to text me the code between 14:00pm and 15:00pm but that didn’t happen so I called the number given and that went to answer phone. After waiting over an hour and 3 attempts someone called me back on a different number asking for a £250 protection deposit before they would give me the code. I was not informed previously about the deposit so was shocked and worried that it could be a scam because of the different number. After several discussions over the phone I was eventually given the code to get the keys. We did ask for additional keys which we were told would be in the apartment but they were not there. I was informed the night before we left that an additional set had been put in the lock box that morning which was a bit pointless when we were leaving the next day. The photos on here do not show all the defects in the property so must had been taken a while ago and if they have charged and kept deposits from other people that have stayed in the apartment they have not rectified any. I have sent photos and videos to the owners so hopefully they will get fixed so feel no need to put them on here. From mould in the bathrooms, broken wall hangings, clock having now battery, lights on terrace not working, marks on walls, corners of dining chairs broke, broken flooring, no cushions on the sofa and the washing machine not working. For the amount of money we paid to stay there for 3 days I do not feel it was value for money and I wouldn’t call it a Penthouse. Instead of enjoying our stay I was contacting the owners daily, couldn’t wait to leave. I have been staying in Plymouth for years in various apartments and b&bs but will not be returning to this one.
- Isla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garner (10/5): Great location, suited our family perfectly. - The apartment has everything we needed for a long stay. The general Barbican noise can be loud, but we got used to it pretty quickly.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurance (9/5): Superb -
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very easy to get in touch with and accommodating.

- Joao (7/5): very central. Good value for my money -
- Andrea (10/5): - highly recommend, of a very very high standard, perfect location. only downside, of which we were aware of, was all the stairs, however don't let it put u off, it is truly beautiful
- John (9/5): Fabulous location and the apartment has everything we needed. Can’t really fault it. -
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- Penny (10/5): would definitely recommend perfect location - Beautiful well presented apartment with a perfect view
of the harbour and very central location. stairs but it’s what you expect for a penthouse apartment
- Matt (8/5): Very happy - Excellent central location. The steps upto the property and noise from outside. Neither could be avoided though.
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nigel (10/5): Entry - The apartment was very good and we have no complaints at all. However the check in was less than perfect. They sent us an email to a phone to give us the entry code. We were unaware of this so arrived and could not get in. We had to phone up to get in. They were very helpful.
