Guest Reviews
- Craig (4/5): Convenient but very small - It was very convenient for my visit It's a tiny apartment and It doesn't look like the nicer photos on the website. In fact the corridor to get from the kitchen to the bed room was so thin I had to walk sideways like a crab to access. Its very simple just a very small flat conversion.
- Rebecca (1/5): Health and safety nightmare - Good location Booked for two kids and us for a gig. Duplex area not big enough for them to stand up. Ground floor flat. Massive windows don’t lock. Duplex is More like a storage shelf.. room dirty. And all cutlery etc filthy. smokers inside communal area right by our bedroom door. toilet roll holding up a tv. Unprotected fire alarm inside ceiling and fan provided minus a cover. List of rules similar to a halfway house. Cancel now site don’t your money. Didn’t complain as had limited time. there is no one around. Cleaners handle incoming and exits. I’m glad my kids aren’t toddlers any more. I’ll be seeking a refund
- Zania (1/5): I could have cried from the moment I arrived - The area was the only nice part and it wasn’t far from train station and shops There were ants crawling over the floor. Broken wooden flooring to trip on. The electric fan in the room was a safety hazard as no guard on it. The upper loft room/space is a waste as nobody can stand up to get dressed! You had to crawl around to get anything done up there.
The sink is situated incorrect in the kitchen as it’s hard into the corner so difficult to wash dishes and reach over the drainage area of clean dishes! Not quite as the photos suggest
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Near to the tennis and local amenities. Was very hot so didn't stay last night. 2 fans would have been good in the conditions We didn't cook but the saucepans were not suitable anyway.
- Sirimon (4/5): Disappointing - Location, The staff let me into the room almost 1 hour early. The room has not been cleaned yet. There is a lot of dust. The range hood does not work. The switch is broken. The fan does not have a cover. I am afraid it will fall and hit me. There is dust all over. It has not been cleaned at all. The top bunk does not have a fan. It is very hot. People talk all night. The room is not soundproof. I can't sleep. The things that the previous occupants have not been taken out of the refrigerator.
- Zania (1/5): Avoid this stay - Location only The sink is positioned wrongly to try and wash any dishes. There was an electric fan in property as it was 30 degrees but no guard on fan.
The floor is rotten at bottom of steps to loft room. The loft room is not accessible to stand up in, only to crawl in. Not much use for adults to change. There were ants crawling all around the floor. Toilet runs a flow of water constantly unless you press the button several times to stop it flowing. We were given a toilet roll with some unpleasant mess on the paper.
Beware as Not as photos.
- Stacey (2/5): Not advisable to stay here - The area we needed to be in , it was a great location for where we needed to be. Everything else.... The room was really not good, very outdated. The bed was a wooden pallet on the floor with a futon mattress on top. The sofa bed was the same with 2 very old mattresses on top which evidently had not been cleaned as when separated food debris and previous rubbish underneath the duvet cover laid on top. Damaged window which had been tapped. Damaged works surfaces. Rotten woodwork around the bottom of the kitchen. The shower was damaged and water was running from around the shower head. The fan we were given in the room had no protection on the blade. The springs on the mattress dug in. The noise on the street in the evening was horrendous, screaming etc... when leaving the entrance foyer was disgusting also like it hadn't been cleaned . Sleeping was a joke . We hardly slept due to the uncomfortable old springs in the mattress digging in us. Just not advisable to stay here - very disappointed to be honest. The blanket laid over the pull out bed had cigarette burns in it, even though specifically it states no smoking , so unsure how this happened.
The room size was really small aswell perhaps suitable for 1 person if they wanted to stay. I can honestly say if I was not too hot and bothered due to having to travel 50 minutes on a bus from victoria to the apartment in 33 degrees heat due to a fire on the underground I definitely would of left to find somewhere else.
- Watson (1/5): Uncomfortable and dirty - There wasn't anything to like.. the pictures on booking.com are very deceiving. Very dirty from the entrance to our rooms and then inside the rooms. Nothing
- Novac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (10/5): Great apartment - The room had everything I needed and was clean, tidy and well presented. Also, Yuli, the host, was friendly and very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. Nothing, it was perfect for my needs.
- Anonymous (1/5): The accommodation was unfortunately enormously different to how presented on the advertisement photos. We were unable to - Unfortunately despite how the apartments present on the website, in reality ours was vastly different. The apartment was filthy, with sticky flooring as well as a dirty and damaged mattress on the sofa bed. The kitchenette space was dirty without any amenities for its use, with only one unwashed glass available in a room that was booked for 3 adults. There was damage to the property on tiles and holes/damage to the walls, door locks were not always working properly and handles of the balcony door were also missing. The bathroom was not fit for use for one of our group who was tall and could not physically fit to sit with the small space between toilet and wall. As 3 people in an area unfamiliar to us, in addition to the above circumstances, we had to leave the property and could not stay the night.
- Paige (6/5): Pleasant -
- Evelyn (6/5): Good with a kind host but the - The host is really nice and the location is very good to reach any where by underground. There was noise every night and even we could hear the neighbor holding a party untill midnight. The noise insulation should be paid more attention.
- Jean (5/5): Adequate for just the one night - Convenient to a booked event Upper level sleeping arrangement was claustrophobic due to the very low ceiling, also steps up to it were very steep. No best for any older people
- Rocío (6/5): Great location, poor service and amenities - The location is phenomenal. The bed and mattress were comfortable enough, although the bed downstairs sank towards the middle. I first stayed here in 2021 and my experience was better. The building and the studio felt cleaner. The space smelled smokey and humid, dusty, like it hadn’t had a deep clean in a while. On the day of my arrival, I didn’t get my check in instructions in the mornings as promised. I called and message the number that is shown here and there was no reply, past the time of my check in. I only managed to get a hold of the host because I found my email from 2021 where another phone number was reflected. If it wasn’t for that, I’m not sure I would have managed to get in at all.
- Valentina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Seán (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zari (1/5): Unacceptable end misleading - Location to the Olympia hall. Unsafe - illegal loft space . This is not a proper room. There was not one suitable bed in property. One mattress on the floor and one camp bed. It was very tiny- not like the photos . The tv hanging off the wall. The hall ways and entrance were dirty. There was the smell of marajuna in the building. The people above were noisy all through the night . We can no sleep for 4 day.
- Anonymous (2/5): No comment - Access code supplied for entry incorrect, tiny shower and apartment was very tired and basic Apartment was very small and tired
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Regularly staying. Suits me.everything works.. everything is supplied . the kitchen is good
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Was all satisfactory
- Ellie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lineu (7/5): Good -
- Gabor (1/5): I have been many to places around the world, but I have never stayed in such a disgusting place. 🤮 - It is in a good location in terms of transportation.
Buses, Tubes.... The accommodation is very small. Very...
The kitchen is dirty, and furniture are digusting.
Opening the front door, there was a suffocating snatch. 🤢🤮
There was a lot of noise at night from the people living above us.
The dogs living in the house were also loud and disruptive.
The accommodation was dirty and smelly, the kitchen utensils are disgusting and dirty as well.
We did not dare use the closet.
The street window could not be closed.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - All Was good
- Charlotte (4/5): Disappointing - Good location as very close to the tube, shops and restaurants. The studio was clean and the member of staff that greeted us was polite and pleasant. Bathroom was very small and the beds were uncomfortable. Limited use in the kitchen due to a lack of cooking equipment and what was available was of poor quality. TV was hanging off the wall and had no remote. The anex area with the second bed had a ladder that was really difficult to climb up and would be dangerous for small children or less able adults to climb.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - All satisfactory
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Happy
- Austėja (7/5): Good -
- Anthony (6/5): A little noisy but all in all better than average!! - Location was excellent The code given was totally different!! Also the appartment I had apparently was a different 1 to what I should have had ? Basically a lot of confusion in the beginning?
- Diana (3/5): Glad it was only for one night. - Very good location to where I needed to be. Filthy stained mattress, 🤢
dangerous sockets, couldn’t find the tv remote, blind in kitchen broken, so it wouldn’t stay up. Dirty carpet. No bin or sufficient shelving/hook in toilet area. Just very run down . Loads of Rubbish bags dumped outside. Unfortunately can only upload 4 photos.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - All was good
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - All was satisfactory
- Leah (9/5): Superb - Very lovely host. Helpful and made us feel very welcome. Good location.
- Amanda (5/5): It was ok for what we needed it for. - It was ok for the time we spent in it,room was very small, and wasn’t the room we booked,we paid for early check in and when got there was told our room wasn’t ready so got out in a different one which looked smaller than the one we booked, it wasn’t the best as cleanliness goes, but the beds were clean which was the main thing.
- Heather (1/5): Bad - Nothing I didnt like any of it i have sent a message to yourselves and booking
- Susana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Suits me
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Location, internet, kitchen, the bed the shower
- Ciel (1/5): Not enjoyable - The process of self check in was good The rules stated that no noise after 10 pm would be permitted and you would be fined if you caused too much noise however the people above us had music blaring till past 5am in the morning!
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Location.kiitchen
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Kitchen.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - property had everything that you needed. staff where great. it’s in as great location couldn’t fault it. the only thing i would say it that there was noise coming from the flat/floor above quite a lot i don’t know weather it was a washing machine up there but was noisy. apart from that great.
- Nata (10/5): Will be back! - Nice place for a stay
- Hafsah (10/5): Exceptional - Easily accessible and in very good location. Julia was absolutely amazing and beyond helpful. Catered to all our needs throughout our stay and we even extended.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - All.waa good. Good location good internet good facilities.
- Mclean (1/5): Bad - N/A Used shower water from the above flat was dripping onto our bed.
Unsanitary and unhygienic.
Also a fire hazard as it was dripping through the lift socket.
Not habitable .
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Liked it
- Jo (1/5): Absolutely horrible - Nothing It was dirty and mattress was stained the fire escape door was wide open on arrival. When we closed it we couldn’t open it again. Fire hazard! Emailed the owners and no response. We had a young child with us and had to look for somewhere else to stay.
- Jemima (5/5): Good for a one night stay. - Good location, great price. For a one night "just a place to sleep" it was great. The apartments did look a little tired and noting the low headroom the second bed would be helpful.
- Jaswinder (1/5): Bad -
- Gemma (1/5): zayn malik-eventim, perfect location - the location was perfect for the purpose it was not clean, I paid for early check in to get there late and it was not ready at all, very noisy too
- Mel (3/5): Not very secure and not a great space. - It was easy to get to. The bed sheets were clean and the shower was clean and functional. The room smelled of stale smoke, the bed was almost falling apart, the front main door didn’t close or lock and my room door (directly opposite) had a handle that didn’t work and a single quite flimsy lock. It felt very u safe.
- Alison (6/5): Good location but unfortunately noisy - Location. Location. Location Noisy at night from the rooms above us. Very broken sleep. Main front door lock didn't work. It was fairly clean but very worn and tired. Late communication about the access codes, contact them ahead of arrival.
- Helen (10/5): Humble but comfortable budget accommodation in a bustling area of West London. - Been coming here for years, it’s a no frills budget accommodation in a good location. It compromises of compact studio flats in a Victorian town house setting. The local area has a slightly “posh” feel and there are a few great restaurants on the high road a few mins away. Manage your expectations and you’ll be fine, these are slightly dated studios NOT luxury apartments. If you just need a comfy laid back place to rest your head for the night I recommend. The hostess Julia is friendly and accommodating and helpful if you need any info on the local area.
- Brad (1/5): Don’t stay here - Dreadful Couldn’t move in the room or bathroom
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Martina (2/5): Very poor - Most horrible ever Impossible to contact the host;
Impossible to sleep because of people upstais;
Broken door handle, etc
- Jamil (7/5): Good one night stay - Amazing location by lots for shops but not too close where the noise is disruptive! It’s by a train station and near by buses too! Very lovely area to stay.m and nice sized room to sleep in If you stay for more than one night just know that the bathroom is tiny!! Like so small. The tv was a bit dusty but I think that’s because it hasn’t been used in a while. Note - I didn’t use the kitchen so I can’t comment on it
- Dean (9/5): Great value, in a great location - Great location and really easy to travel to where we wanted to go. room on the whole was clean with all the facilities we needed. definitely will use it again the only small issue was the cleanliness of the shower (around the plughole).
- Ian (2/5): Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else in London to stay - The location is quite good with access to train lines and shopping Communication was very bad. I had to send 4 messages prior to arrival to get a single response on what bedding would be made up. The instructions said that on the morning of our arrival we would be sent the check in details. This did not happen. On arrival at Heathrow I made phone calls to find out the door and keysafe codes, no one answered and non one returned my messages. We got ourselves to the address and rang again, fortunately someone answered and sent us the codes. We were not impressed, particularly after 24 hours plus of travelling time from Australia.
The apartments are tiny, though we knew that from the description. The major issue though is the noise from the neighbouring apartments. Unfortunately, we had someone in the apartment above us who played loud music most of the night and one night was dragging bags or furniture around for hours on end finally stopping at 3am.
- Robert (8/5): Dry good clean and near underground - Very clean Nothing
- Hannah (4/5): Two night business trip - The location was great, big old stunning building. Very good value for money, £65 per night. Comfortable bed, fresh linen. Slept really well, not woken at all. Host very lovely. Shower hot and powerful. Microwave, hob, fridge, kettle etc. WiFi good speed. Upon arrival little surprised by how small the apartment was, definitely not photographed in the listing images. It is in little need of some tlc and removal of rubbish outside of windows.
- Katarzyna (3/5): Poor - Location and balcony. Very small for three people, with damaged furniture and blinds. Overall, poor condition. The mezzanine is accessed by a very dangerous ladder, as it's hard to call it stairs. Absolutely unacceptable for an older person. Overall, a terrible impression. I once stayed in a different room from them and had a much better experience.
- Fabrizio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fabrizio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fabrizio (10/5): I am regular because it the best and worth the money - Been here several time and the backbone off this place is the lady who runs it: always nice, helpful and always have a smile on her face for her customers. Nothing, it's good as it is
- Benjamin (6/5): Comfy room but would double check photos - Comfy beds, Easy location Room wasn't accurate to the photos shown
- Abdulkadir (5/5): Awful - The location of the apartment is good The walkway inside the house is dirty, the toilet is not properly washed and not clean enough for an apartment at Hammersmith. I saw many insects flying inside the house. The owners can do better.
- Oliver (4/5): Disappointing - Easy to find from tube
Easy check in
Lovely clean bedding & towels Kitchen & bathroom not particularly clean & very dated.
Despite being advertised for 4 people (2 double beds) really not enough room for 4 adults to move around (one room plus loft bed only accessable on hands & knees ) & bathroom VERY small.
Might work better with 2adults & 2children but still very tight.
- Jaimie-lea (1/5): Horrendous - Nothing room was so hot and stuffy, toilet seat was covered in urine and someone in the room Above us was walking around all night meaning we didn’t sleep at all as it felt like the roof was coming in. We had to go up to the room above to tell them to please stop making so much noise and it didn’t change anything. Worst stay we’ve ever had
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Cameron (3/5): Point of contact was very good with communication before and during stay! The room was a big let down, nothing like it w - Bed was comfortable
A short walk to a train station which links to all the main places Shower was dirty
Extremely small room under a staircase and not as pictured
Basic cutlery was average
Bathroom too small to get changed in without having the door open!
You can’t access both sides of the double bed, one person has to climb across
- Lisbeth (10/5): Exceptional - Compact, clean, comfy. Walking distance to Tube stations, numerous cafes, restaurants & convenient stores. Kitchenette had everything you'd need, yet we didn't need to use them. Excellent light & large windows. Ensuite a little small & very compact. Shower head unable to be rotated or moved from position making it a little awkward to gave a good shower, but we coped.
- Valeria (1/5): Very filthy hotel room - Hard to say The room was very dirty with a terrible smell. The host completely ignored my complaints and messages. Booking.com couldn’t help, and we’re still waiting for a proper response. All we can do now is leave this review. Please make sure to check the photos!
- Frederic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rin (9/5): Would come again - Rooms were comfy and cozy, nice kitchen area and bedroom Bad water pressure in shower
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - It’s in a good location and comfy beds Bathroom a little bit small
- Monika (8/5): Very good -
- Thea (1/5): gross - not much was super smaller than pics but it also smelt so bad and was just bad vibes. Felt like we were in a crack den. Tried to obviouly get rid of the bad smell with covering the place in bleach as stank of bleach. person upstairs was up all night being loud and playing music and when we woke up felt so rough and ill probs inhaled all the dr$gs they were smoking upstairs. Location was average
- William (4/5): Not the same room as advertised little scruffy but great staff and location - Location, staff where helpful and quick to respond Not the same room as advertised
- Luna (9/5): Superb -
- Kiernan (8/5): We enjoyed our stay very much just very hot in the summer. - Perfect for the occasion and did the job of what we wanted. Great location right near a tube stop, shops and cafes. Quite a small bathroom, not a major thing did the job of a bathroom but very small. It was a very hot room as buildings are not built for the heat. Would have been great if there was a fan in the flat.
- Bex (7/5): Our experience. - I liked that we had a balcony and fans. The fans kept us cool. Would not have coped without them. The street was fairly quiet and chilled except for the planes every 20 seconds. It's good for the price. If you're just using it as somewhere to crash. It was a cool set up. The bathroom was super hot and cramped. And the shower sometimes worked but then would also change pressure and basically dribble/ drip. Water temp changed too. Also, someone staying above us decided to start doing DIY at 10/11 at night. Tapping away, hammering. You could hear a lot through the walls. People storing around etc. The whole building was hot. It was a hot weekend. Luckily the fans were there.
- Elizabeth (5/5): If you are travelling alone or maybe just a couple who want to use it only as a base to sleep then ok but it is pretty b - Location was brilliant for tube around London.also plenty eating places and shops. It wasn’t the room we that was shown on the pictures . We expected small but not this small . Also broken extractor oven fan and all rooms very small and not made as stated for a family of 3 . It was basically a place to sleep. No sofa I just double bed and tiny kitchen. The other bed was up a ladder like a bunk bed with hardly no room to lift your head. Basically had to crawl out and climb down. Also lack of cutlery and glasses and cooking pots ect . It was clean but not brilliant. Bathroom was not good you had to sit on the loo at an angle due to how small and also poor ventilation.
- Alex (3/5): Great location...that is all - The location of this place is great. A very easy walk from the tube to the apartment and the area itself is lovely. The apartment is not the same as that which is pictured and was much more cramped than anticipated. Also, you hear every knock and move of the other residence. Our stay was further disrupted by the resident in the room above hoovering and moving furniture continuously through the night until 6am. Appreciate this is not the hosts fault but it still meant we got no sleep during our stay which made it quite unbearable. We did report this to the host the following morning but received no response. The mezzanine on which the bed is located is less novelty more safety hazard. You have to crawl into bed and cannot sit up in bed due to the extremely close proximity to the ceiling. The interior is also tired and would benefit hugely from updated bathroom and kitchen.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Regularly stay in this house
Suits me perfectly . Everything conv and works. All I need and if request is provided.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Was everything satisfactory.easy check in. All amenities worked everything provided..
- Romina (6/5): For one night, it was ok. - The location was good and so were the hosts. It was really small for three people- toilet was really small and difficult to manoeuvre around, the stairs were very vertical so difficult to go up/down and the ceiling was low so top bed meant we had to crawl.
- Dom (1/5): THIS IS A SCAM....DO NOT BOOK! - Nothing Host was uncontactable and turned their phone off after a few attempts of us trying to call. We were supposed to receive communications to let us know how to get in on the morning of arrival, we received nothing even after we emailed, called and contacted through booking.com. They had previously contacted us to ask when the best time for us would be which advised and they said they might not be able to accomodate that but it was the last we heard from them. Eventually after hours on the phone to booking.com who also couldn't get through we had to arrange alternative accomodation and put our bags in a storage locker in Victoria whilst we found new accomodations at a show we had booked to see ruining our evening. We received a call from a housekeeper at nearly 7pm saying they were there to check us in which leads me to believe they had only just cleaned the place and were trying to put us off until they were ready when check in is stated on the website as from 12pm! To add insult to injury we receieved another text from the housekeeper a few days after we were meant to stay there asking what time we would like to check in, it is an absolute joke! No communication to their staff, boss clearly doesn't mind letting their staff getting the blame and hides from their clients. Truly awful experience!
- Kayleigh (3/5): Poor - Bed was fine, liked that it had a kitchenette even though it was worn. Dirty, worn down, lots of spiders, bugs and dead flies.
- Hopa (4/5): Disappointing - Location and building was lovely It had a nasty smell in the building like rotten cabbage. The fixtures and fittings were very tired and in need of updating.
- Steve (1/5): Bad - i will never book this venue again owners completely unreasonable
- Courtney (8/5): A Great Stay, would definitely recommend - The room was lovely and bright. Kitchen had all the required essentials. The WiFi was good and worked without issues. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Bathroom came provided with soap and shower gel as well as two lots of fresh clean towels. Check out was easy as you just return your key to the lock box. Other reviews mentioned issues with hearing footsteps however this was not an issue until past 8am and was not anywhere near as big a problem as others implied. The room was hot however a fan was provided and helped considerably. Would stay again. My only issue with the stay was that I found it quite difficult to get a response from the property leading up to our stay. We had some questions after booking and it took several messages from myself spreading over several days and then eventually Booking.com themselves also had to reach out to them on my behalf just to get a response. When we did get a response the staff were friendly and helpful but that part I will say was quite stressful.
- Sarah (8/5): Great location! Does the job! - Location was excellent both for transport links and interesting local shops. The street was easy to find and quiet. The flat has the basics needed for a trip away. The person I dealt with was straightforward and clear about the key collecting arrangements. There was absolutely no hassle. The kitchen had the basics but lacked a drying cloth for dishes..... a small thing.
- Fabrizio (10/5): Cosy flats in a very good position - I've been there few times. The rooms are cost and the instruction about how to self check in are very clear. Easy to access and in a very good position. Last but not least the ladies who runs it are always super nice.
- Donal (6/5): Noisy neighbours small room but did the job - Good location. Upper floor unusable, bed not even made.
