Guest Reviews
- Catto (8/5): -
- Catto (6/5): -
- Kirsty (7/5): Beautiful building in an amazing location with exceptional views - Amazing views, room was a good size Pool was very dirty, cleaning could be better everywhere. Aircon was in an alcove and didn’t cool the room down very much.
Kamer was alles behalve gezellig
- Marianne (10/5): Perfect stay!! - We liked the hospitality so much, the breakfast was really nice, every morning fresh croissants en whatever we wanted to eat and drink. Our host Sonja did everything she could to make us feel comfortable!
The location is very good, perfect for trips to Naples, Vesuvius, Pompeï and Amalficoast.
The B&B is set up in a big building up on the mountain with a very big terrace with stunning views over the village and Vesuvius!
The swimming pool looks lovely!
We definitely recommend this to everyone!
- Monika (10/5): Polecamy to wyjątkowe miejsce. - Przepięknie położony na wzgórzu obiekt, z oszałamiającym widokiem na Wezuwiusza i Pompeje. Świetny basen, pyszne śniadania. Przemili gospodarze - Sonia i Claudio.
- Edward (8/5): - Colazione ottima, posizione Del B&B scomoda.
- Joe (9/5): It was perfect for what we needed - Il Saretto is perched on top of a hill overlooking Sarno with a beautiful view of Mount Vesuvius. The sunsets are spectacular. Sonia was a wonderful host who couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was great. Home cooked eggs, bacon plus pastries. The pool was the perfect spot for hot summer days. If you find yourself in Sarno it’s the place to stay.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mai (10/5): All over it was an amazing experience and a place I would visit again with more people, thank you - We loved every minute of it, it was so romantic, refreshing and The views are breathtaking. We had a car so it was very easy to visit most places as it was close to the motorway,
45min to Sorrento, 45min to Amalfi Coast, 30min to Pompeii and 1h to Naples. Breakfast everyday till 11:00 and The B&B had restaurants nearby 10-20min by car, very easy to find. On Most days we had the pool to ourselves, the owners and staff are very kind and friendly. We love dogs as well so they were fun and well behaved, The room was bigger than expected for the price and very clean.
- Pamela (10/5): Very relaxing with excellent food and service. - Sonia was an awesome host! The meals she and her staff provided were soooo good and many of the ingredients came right from their garden! Really need a car or scooter to go to and from the hotel. Just plan ahead for that.
- Amber (10/5): Ultra comfortable stay, gorgeous pool and views. - The photos do not do it justice. It was a spotless large and charming room with a beautiful view, beautiful large bath with a window. Extremely comfortable mattress with high quality cotton sheets. Excellent breakfast. Serene and beautiful pool area (lovelier than the photo), olive trees ascending around it and dreamy panoramic views over the town and to Mt. Vesuvius. But best of all was the warm hospitality and kind assistance from Sonia, who is also a wonderful cook. We enjoyed the pool area so much that we adjusted our plans to spend the evenings relaxing there
The secure gated parking was a huge plus as we were traveling by motorcycle. It's high on a hill and a superb location for those traveling with their own vehicle. Great location for traveling around Amalfi coast and Naples. Authentic charming town down below.
The self check in and automatic access to the property and security gates was very convenient.
Loved our stay. We are frequent travelers, in Italy especially, and Il Saretto was our favorite ever.
PS extra points for the charming and beautifully behaved dog Valentina Nothing - it was ideal.
- Grainne (8/5): A lovely property with a beautiful pool for relaxing. Location is a bit remote and quite a distance from the Amalfi coas - Our room was a good size for our family. The pool was fab with beautiful views over the town and over towards Mount Vesuvius. The location is a bit remote with not much in the local town plus it is a long drive to any of the towns on the Amalfi coast. The property is lovely but I found the owners to be distant and didn’t engage with us. The provision of basic info on the area, maps etc. would be helpful. Although included with the booking, breakfast was minimal and we had to ask for more a number of mornings.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts Sonia and Claudio are wonderful, always ready to give excellent services. Transfers and all services like roomservice all eccellent. Nice menu for lunch and dinner.
- Hanane (9/5): Great stay at ll Saretto - The B&B is an amazing place to stay for a holiday, very unique pool layout and location, pool been maintained and clean we had a fantastic stay. You can use the place if you can’t stay in the Amalfi, Positano and you can take a ferry from Sarento which is near to Sarno where the B&B located
Rooms clean and fair space, the villa very secure from the gate till the room
People are trustworthy, Cloudio been a fantastic helper to drop and pick up when needed, early arrangement needed thou. My daughter get to play with 2 dogs tgey had in the property.
Will be definitely back to stay The breakfast could be better than what we found.
The main challenge that we had in our stay was we didn’t rent a car, it is a necessary to have a car in order to stay in the B&B as it is located on the top of the mountains. You can go nowhere if you don’t have a car
The B&B have the pick up and drop service but pricy
- Attila (9/5): Absolutely recommended by us! - Very romantic environment, beautiful location. Everybody is super nice and helpful especially Francesco 😊 The pool is just perfect and the view breathtaking. -
- Chambers (2/5): disappointed and looking for discount - the view here’s my message to the property owner: Hello and good morning.
I hope you are having a nice day. while i do appreciate your help trying to solve the heat problem, i respectfully must ask you to consider refunding a portion of this 3 night “vacation” as discount for the discomforts and disappointments. i am providing you with photos/videos to show that, when added together, lodging here was quite difficult.
The biggest problem was the room temperature. even after the technician came, the room would not cool down. Ultimately, i probably would not send this email if the room were not so uncomfortable. we could not sleep. as you can see in the photo, i had to create a bed with three chairs to stay as close to the air as possible (picture). this was the third night. the first two nights we tried to sleep outside as much as possible. Additionally, I would go downstairs to the breakfast place because it was cooler and peaceful. However, despite being quite nice, this space was also occupied by other guests doing the same and complaining about their experience.
Other problems included these:
the pool had very little water in it and no waterfall feature. it filled up centimeters each day and by our last day, was only less than half full (picture). everyone staying at Saretto was disappointed about it during breakfast.
The water in our room, both the sink and shower, had very poor pressure (video). When you needed cold (because the only other option was extremely hot), it often burped and then trickled out.
The toilet often would not flush (video).
The wifi was very weak. i had 1 bar often. making opening the doors and gate digitally very difficult.
There was a large dog underneath us that barked often.
This was supposed to be the highlight of this Italian trip and unfortunately, was not. I live in Madrid and am used to adapting to discomfort, but this was a luxury experience that i spent most of our budget on. Having basic comfort was my baseline expectation.
- Deborah (3/5): I think this hotel is more of an events venue than a hotel. - lovely view and handy for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius advertised with pictures of a lovely pool but pool was dirty and unusable.
hotel in need of a bit of tlc, no other guests there and it felt a bit abandoned
- Nicolas (8/5): very nice hotel worth discovering - the place stunning view the room was of good size and the bathroom good. The bed was very confortable, we got late and the instruction to access the hotel was very good and the staff so helpful
very plaisant stay just shame it was so short Breakfast was basic a little disappointing for the hotel maybe a board to indicate the access to the hotel from the main gate on the street would be helpful maybe?
- Francesco (8/5): Our overall stay was very good but you should have a car if you plan on staying here. - Breakfast was fine; Location was in a good spot to allow us to see our family; Had a great pool with a beautiful view of Sarno from the top of the hill; The entire facility was spotless with plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy some quiet time. I was under the impression that I could arrange for a driver with advance notice to drive me to visit my family in town but this turned out to not be the case; required my family to drive me to & from the facility; Expected to have a bar / restaurant on site to get some food / drink but I was mistaken; You need to drive down the hill to get any food / drink other than breakfast.
- Wendy (10/5): I liked it very much - Great Location, hosts were excellent
- Sergey (3/5): Good location and nothing more - The best view in this location, good onsite parking Its not a hotel, its few rooms in the owners house. The owners are unhappy with guests. Friends of us booked the room in advance, but owners forgot about this and they must look for another place to stay during the night.
Guests are forbidden to use pool during the weekend, because they rent it to other people. Also it’s a restaurant in place, but it is closed for the guests and they use it to make a parties during weekends.
The breakfast is from 08:30, so if you need to go somewhere early, you will be hungry. Also if you come not first or a little bit later, you can find the empty plates instead of food.
Towels never changes and you will have only small one per person. No towels for the pool if you have possibility to go there during the week.
The shower should be cleaned or renovated.
It is possible you will not find a Wifi there, mobile network is also week, so be careful if you need to work there.
- Amber (7/5): Great location and amazing views - Fantastic location! The views from our patio were stunning. We enjoyed having a coffee maker in the room. Location was conveniently located for our day trips to naples and pompei. The shower doesn't drain right and when you take a shower the entire bathroom floor is SOAKED.
There is a property dog that likes to hang out at the pool. During the first night there he got excited when the kids were jumping in and out of the pool. We thought it was cute. The second night, the dog started biting the kids and they were jumping in and out of the pool. We tried to get the dog away and call the hosts to come help but we couldn't get ahold of anyone. We booked this property mainly for the pool and were disappointed that the aggressive dog ruined our 2nd night at the pool. Luckily, the dog only nipped and the kids weren't seriously injured, but we had to leave the pool early.
- Roisin (10/5): superb location overlooking the town of Sarno, with views to Vesuvius - this B&B was in the most fabulous location in Sarno, perched up on the hill overlooking the town. the rooms were splendid, the view awesome and the pool superb! it was quite a walk up to it ! ( though worth it)
- Vita (9/5): The location is perfect. the apartment was good, but would like to get a little bit more light inside. The kitceh was eq - excellent location. pool area fantastic.
very silent and harmful. We got big apartment.
Sarno town small with polite people.
In the city restaurant very good prices.
pizza 5-7 eur( very tasty) stairs:)
missing restaurant.
- Marco (6/5): Ok stay, but not what you would expect. - Splendid view, and a good pool. OK service, but not excellent.
The value for money was OK - but not exeptional. The house did not have enough cutlery or equipment to use the kitchen, and is divided from the rooms. Please be also adviced that there was no really possibility to make nor eat food in the house. Outside on the balcony with splendid view there was a house for wasps that was not removed.
The pool has opening hours 10-19, but this was not emphasized when we ordered.
The shower was a disaster (water all over).
There were two dogs in our house all the time, and although we like dogs it was a bit too much, and it was not emphazied in the booking.
We did not get information on which capsules the coffee machine uses, and these were really hard to find.
A bit difficult and unclear communication on general things, like the breakfast (we were told that this was included, but it was not) and how to open the first gate at night time.
We did not get enough or big enought towels, even though we got it the last days after asking some days.
