Guest Reviews
- Adam (9/5): Sorrento stay with lemons - Comfy bed and spacious room. Within a lovely lemon garden setting. Carmela went out of her way to print for me when needed for a booking. Breakfast could be slightly improved. Lots of sweet cakes / pastries but would be improved with move savoury or hot breakfast.
- Billy (9/5): Great value not too far from all the action. - The host, Carmela, was very helpful and responsive. The room was pretty, clean, and had a very spacious bathroom. Short walk to the city centre. The AC wasn’t functioning properly.
- Antonio (8/5): - Clean and spacious. The coffee didn't work properly one day and not at all the next day. Pictures showed a hot tub outside which apparently wasn't fir our rooms. The air conditioning wasn't the best, Carmela said she would pass by to check and never showed up

- Sergio Jose (10/5): -
- Andreas (10/5): - Get the room with the view, fabulous view, and a big terrace. Good breakfast room, and was an easy walk to downtown. I thought the walk back was going to be a little hard, but was easy. Very relaxing atmosphere, and nice and quiet at night. I would recommend as a place to stay. There was a parking lot within 25 metres.
- Sofokleous (10/5): - Beautiful room, really clean and comfortable.
- Yasemin ezgi (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): - Super b&b just out of the main bustle of the town. Easily walkable, with a lovely garden .
Bedroom large and nicely decorated with plenty of storage.
The hosts are very welcoming. We were given a jar of homemade marmalade on leaving which was a lovely, unexpected touch. Nothing
- Rebecca (9/5): - Our stay was lovely! Ana was kind and helpful with many recommendations and always attentive and easy to reach. The space was also very clean. The other guests were in close proximity (rooms are near each other) but everyone is very respectful.
With so many activities to do in the area, we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor area but it was readily available. After a few days staying the breakfast wasn't enough for us, with yogurt, granola, literally one slice of cheese and one slice of ham to pair with one egg along and two slices of bread. It's certainly more than the standard European coffee (and just coffee with a croissant) but it is good to switch it up every now and then.
- Robert (9/5): Geweldig - Schoon, ruim, bedden, tuin, eigenaar Niets
- Alison (8/5): Spotlessly clean and comfortable stay - Lovely room and spotlessly clean with good facilities and good sized bathroom and bedroom. Garden area very good with plenty of beds and a cool tub and outdoor shower. 10-15 wall into town party with no footpaths and half of it very steep so if mobility is an issue it will be difficult without a car or transport. Breakfast satisfactory.
- Chris (10/5): - This was such a lovely place, room, and experience. The view and room itself rivaled places my wife and I have spent triple the money on. Truly an exceptional visit
- Sándor (9/5): Good B&B, friendly owner, freshly squeezed orange - The Sorrento peninsula is beautiful, but the prices are horrible. I think the Cote d'Azur is cheaper...
The Lemon Factory is a good quality B&B, ten minutes walk from the centre, twenty minutes from the sea.
Clean, correct, with an average breakfast, plus freshly squeezed orange juice from the local area.
I can recommend it.
This is the price level in this area. :( Price.
Walking into the city is dangerous (there are no built sidewalks, just a painted strip)
- Katrina (10/5): Best accommodation in Europe so far - Amazing location just up the hill amongst the lemon and orange orchards. It was very peaceful and relaxing after busy crowds. Anna was exceptional- looking after us with great care. Nothing not to love
- Berkin (8/5): Very good -
- S (8/5): Very good - We liked the location, the staff and the facilities The breakfast could have had some fruit
- Shawn (10/5): - Property was lovely. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Enjoyed having a balcony and overlooking Sorrento.
- Eva (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was nice, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed Noisy street so window had to be mainly closed, jacuzzi wasn’t open, a bit of a walk into town
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Beautiful property with wonderful, friendly host .
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - First off all we would like to thank Anna for her hospitality. She's a lovely person.
Everything was wonderful. The location, the room, nice breakfast.
We enjoy every minute and hopefully we will be back there..
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Jad (8/5): Relaxing stay at a wonderful location - Great place. Close enough to city centre (10 min walk) yet relaxing quiet location. Excellent big garden. Rooms were cleaned daily and owner very welcoming and accommodating.
- Edward (8/5): Very good - Away from hussle and bussle of city
- Laura (7/5): Good - Everything was good with regards accommodation, the walk to town
No probs ,but uphill the way home ,
Or 20 euro in a taxi for 2 mins drive!!! But every cloud has a sliver lining ,we would not have come across a little Italian restaurant halfway down the hill amazing ,great staff ,always full 😉 The location, but yet Sorrento hilly anyhow...so......😊
- Lisa (10/5): Lovely place and would stay again! - Beautiful clean room and bathroom and the breakfast in the common area was nice. The outdoor area under lemon trees was so relaxing. A little farther walk to town than we would have liked but not terrible and we are 65
- Kasper (2/5): Low Price Quality ratio. Towels and sheet smelled strongly to vinegar - Close to the center of sorronto Quite high price for small room without many comfort. Moreover tourist tax and parking is not included in the booking price.
Parking is 15 EUR per night on the property of the owner.
Towels and sheets smelled strongly to vinegar.
Rooms are close to each other, so you can easily hear the other guests.
- Gordon (10/5): - Overall a great B&B concept, great breakfast, easy 10 minute walk to the Center, easily catch a cab back up, if you do not like air conditioning and you want to leave the window open the road below is noisy! But you get used to it we spent 4 nights.
- Tiraje (10/5): - Nice room,nice people ,located in a lemon grove.
- Ulf (10/5): Mkt charmigt B&B i lugn trädgård - Mkt charmigt B&B beläget ca 15min walk uppför från järnvägs stationen / Piazza Tasso. Endast 3rum o tillgång till stor, lugn citronträds trädgård. Mkt serviceminded personal. Ett boende vi gärna återkommer till
- Jane (10/5): Relaxing. - It’s in a great location out of town but only a short walk with a beautiful garden to relax in. Very clean, lovely welcoming staff. Anna went above and beyond . I would definitely recommend it. The walls are quite thin so you could hear sone noise.
The walk is uphill and could be difficult if you had mobility problems.
- Linda (10/5): - The room was great! Anna the owner was very attentive and quick to respond to any request we had.
- Sonam (8/5): Very good -
- Declan (9/5): Superb -
- Kar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): Fabulous! - Everything! The room was very comfortable. We had arranged trips for every day of our stay and could have breakfast just before departing (continental, with a great selection). Anna (the owner) was really lovely and helpful. We will remember this place. Grazie mille! The only bit that was a bit difficult was the 10 minute walk up the hill to reach the place, but we got used to it.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing, I would strongly recommend Lemon Factor. Lovely friendly family atmosphere from the staff. They made us feel so welcome, and they were very helpful in everything you asked of them. There was nothing not to like. If you needed anything, you only had to ask, and it was provided for you.
- Sheila (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at The Lemon Factor for 10 marvelous nights! The setting is gorgeous and the owner, Anna, and her daughter, Laura, took care of our every need with grace and genuine care. The view from our amazing junior suite balcony was breathtaking! We give The Lemon Factor our highest recommendation.
- Darren (10/5): we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. -
- cathryn (10/5): - The property is lovely with the orange and lemon trees. Rooms are clean and fresh and very comfortable.
Anna was very accommodating providing breakfast at an earlier time on two requested dates.
10 minute walk to the Piazza Tasso.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - Nice room, very clean and wonderful garden!
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property and garden area. Feels like you are in the country side. Great breakfast and overall really good value for money. Anna is the most friendly and welcoming host. Can’t wait to return here Nothing
- Amanda (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay here and thoroughly recommend it. - Anna who welcomed us and saw us each day was so helpful and so lovely. The accommodation was beautiful. Great view from the shared kitchen. Everything was spotless. The grounds are lovely to sit in. If you’re traveling by train i advise you to get a taxi when first arriving with your luggage
- Yvonne (8/5): Good value for money but disappointing - Clean nicely decorated room. Good WiFi. Bed very comfortable Garden facilities were very good with garden loungers and chairs. Clearly a work in progress with building development ongoing. Secure on site parking (additional cost) Shower poor pressure. Breakfast ok but not great, white sliced bread always a disappointment. Location only 10 minutes from main town but uphill, be aware it's a tough climb on the way back. Additional services like availability of wine/limoncello and hot tub not well explained and staff not readily available. It's a missed opportunity.
- Harsh (10/5): Excellent must Stay - Everything was amazing , Great host , Clean room , Washroom , Dining . Nothing
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Johanna (10/5): Reall friendly staff and great breakfast! -
- Glenn (9/5): Wonderful place to stay in Sorrento and highly recommended! - Welcoming owners, beautiful grounds, very good breakfast, secure car parking, clean and modern and a taste of lemoncello that the owners make. Just a bit of a walk on a narrow busy road to the train station and downtown Sorrento.
- Andres (10/5): The best option to stay at Sorrento! Would definitely come back. - Location, near everything but quiet enough to have a good rest, clean room, the friendliness of hosts Laura and Anna. Nothing at all
- Mlabrie (10/5): So sad to leave this oasis! - This place truly felt like a piece of paradise. Anna was a fantastic host and took care of me as if I was a friend. The garden was the main reason I booked this location and it didn't disappoint! The walk to town was a bit scary at first but I quickly got the hang of it.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Delicious breakfast every day. A nice peaceful location. Modern, tidy, comfortable. Friendly host. A bit of a walk from town but not too bad. The relaxing location itself makes up for it.
- Jim (7/5): Good base to explore sorrento. - Comfortably laid out breakfast every morning.
Friendly owner
A couple of pleasant restaurants within easy walking distance.
Safe, gated garden On a busy road - it didn't feel safe to walk on.
Awoken by mopeds every morning.
Attracted to having a hot tub but because it was stormy the owner had closed it off. She agreed to give us the parking for free as compensation (15 euros a night)
- Idan (8/5): Very good -
- Sangeeta (9/5): Superb - Everything was very good in Lemon Factor, well taken care with personal touch
Thank you
- Judith (8/5): Newly renovated property - A lovely property, very clean and beautifully decorated. Anna was warm and welcoming. Coffee and tea were available in the kitchen all day. Although the property was great, I wasn't as keen on the location. This was mainly due to the busy main road & areas without a pavement, which made getting into the centre & to the port really difficult. This was exacerbated by heavy rain, had the weather been better, I'm sure this wouldn't have been as much of a problem. On leaving, Anna kindly arranged a special taxi, 25€ to the ferry port.
- Adrian (10/5): Great B&B to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi coast - I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. First and foremost, our host, Anna, was incredibly friendly. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home, from accommodating our early breakfast requests to lending us beach towels. The breakfasts were consistently fantastic, offering a wide array of options, and we always had coffee, water, and tea readily available. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the bathroom was incredibly spacious. The walk to the train station was fine, taking only 10-12 minutes. We never encountered any issues, and we would certainly choose to stay here again! Grazie mille! Nothing :)
- Yelena (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, great location. Hard to find, took us awhile
- Erin (9/5): Superb -
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elina (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean and quality furniture, tiles, etc. Lovely garden although we did not spend any time there. Dogs 😍😍😍 i was expecting the previously mentioned home made jam :) and some veggies for breakfast would be nice but it did not matter at all.
- Eden (2/5): Nice place but rude staff and non functioning facilities - Beautiful garden in the middle of the city and clean rooms. Breakfast was OK. Worst staff we ever met. Rude, not nice.
Be aware that if you park your car there is extra fee to pay.
The rooms are smaller then you may think when you see the pictures, and adjacent to the dining room so no privacy expected. Jacuzzi is big and the yard is beautiful but the jacuzzi was cold. The staff didn't take care of it and was very rude.
Far from the center of Sorrento
A big disappointment.
- Annahid (9/5): Amazing first stop on our honeymoon - The grounds were well kept and it was great to be able to park our rental car within the gated property. We loved the terrace off our room and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. Room was perfectly clean and even though the breakfast was a little on the lighter side it was plenty for us! We even were able to take some with us for a snack for later that afternoon while we were sightseeing. We wish we had more time to take advantage of the lawn/hot tub. The property is about a 10-minute walk up a hill from downtown Sorrento, but we were prepared for this and actually enjoyed that our room was walkable to all the "fun stuff" yet a bit away from all the hustle of the waterfront. Overall great stay! None!
- Julie (10/5): - Anna, Pino and Laura were fantastic hosts. We definitely will be back.
A lovely place to stay with a beautiful view.
- Ada (8/5): The little lemon - Very clean.Lovely breakfast The aircon didn't work properly. If you open the window there is endless scooter noise from the road. Its only 1.7 km from train station or harbor but uphill and difficult to reach with luggage. Will suggest owner to arrange shuttle service to her B&B
- Jane (8/5): Friendly and Clean. Good location for sorrento. - Clean rooms. A little hard to find. Make sure you know exactly where you are going if driving. Not very well sign posted.
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Gemma (9/5): Beautiful and welcoming stay in Sorrento - We had a fabulous 3 night stay at lemon factor! Beautiful decorated rooms, a short walk to sorrento and exceptionally clean. We were made to feel very welcome and breakfast was lovely. We would definitely return to lemon factor when in sorrento. You won't be disappointed with this gem of a bed and breakfast
- Paul (7/5): HONEST review after 4 day stay. - Lovely place to stay - the rooms very clean and pretty. The hosts very helpful. A good restaurant relatively close and a great coffee machine! So, I'm writing these points as someone who stayed here for four days and feel they have all been overlooked. But could influence people choice to stay.
Unfortunately, the photos suggest you'll have full access to the garden area, however, not only was 'how to access this space' not even mentioned when we checked in, but the garden is fenced off due to their two massive alsatians which bark and Jump up at you every time you enter and exit the property. So be sure not to book based on the garden or hot tub (or if you're not good with dogs. As it's quite frightening)
The DIY breakfast was unfortunately very poor. Every day (we stayed four days), The options are the same:
A DIY boiled egg
Some ham
Some cereals
Some croissants
Some white bread.
Finally, the hosts are VERY helpful and kind. But she does run it like a borstal - on day one we hadn't come for breakfast by 930 and she messaged to tell us it finishes in half an hour (essentially hurry up) and the same with cleaning (cleaning finishes at 1130 so please leave or we won't clean).
I appreciate that they have times to do things, but perhaps making it clear in the info pack instead of passive aggressive messages would be better.
Again, it was lovely and clean. But perhaps for the money. Breakfast could be much better and the garden area could be made more exclusive for guests (as it is quite cheeky that that is one of their 'selling points').
- Jill (10/5): Living among the Lemon Trees - We had an amazing stay. The Hotel is a 12-14 minute walk into town. It was over 90 every day but we managed to walk. Owner maintains the property and rooms. They are in excellent condition. Owner does not speak English but we communicated with IPhone translation App. Her daughter speaks English and is available by WhatsApp to answer questions. Owner recommenced a restaurant up the street. De Phillpa. A family owned and run restaurant . Food and service were great and they were willing to make my dishes salt free. There is a playground and an occasional dog or kittens wandering through the dinning area. Lots of locals eat here. Piano player every night.
- Lisa (10/5): - Beautiful and immaculately clean! Lovely and helpful staff. Breakfastb was wonderful location is near all. Renting a scooter is helpful as the walk back uphill can be daunting in the summer heat.
- Vincenzo (9/5): Superb -
- Saxsaliba (10/5): Cute B&B tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Secured parking inside the property. Very comfortable beds, and spacious rooms that were very well equipped including the bathroom. Use of Jacuzzi was a special touch and the breakfast was very well done and varied with loads of options. Nothing to add here!
- Lata (10/5): Exceptional - Very helpful owner and her daughter.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Heitor (9/5): Superb -
- Bill (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Peaceful oasis not too far from center - First uphill hike from train station can be scary on busy narrow roads. Taxi with luggage might be easier, but pricey with no price controls in this area. After a couple nights, we were so glad we were at Lemon Factor instead of in a busier more central location. The kitchen and breakfast are nice, especially if you can meander over to it in slippers from your room. Freshly squeezed orange juice is a bonus.
- Ed (9/5): Wonderful property with super host - Good location - bit of a hill but difficult to find somewhere not on a hill in Sorrento! only took 10 minutes to walk into town and easy to get to bus/train station. Lovely kitchen with a great breakfast. Room was a decent size and had the comfiest bed and pillows! Our host was very welcoming There is a small section of the walk which is a steep hill to get to the property (last 3-4 minutes) so consider a taxi if you are physically impaired.
- Claire (7/5): Cute B&B in the Sorrento Hills - This was a very cute family run B&B with fresh orange juice every morning from their garden! The room and kitchen were immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable. They even made an effort to have a cake in my room for my birthday which was very sweet. The breakfast was a little light, croissants, cereal, boiled eggs and tea/coffee. It could do with adding fruit and/or the option to cook an omelette. Just to note also the location is tricky if you are not used to walking - it’s a very steep 10-15 minute walk to the city centre.
- Arranblonde (10/5): Exceptional - Room was stunning
Comfortable and so clean
Host charming and helpful
Every little thing perfect 🥰
Breakfast lovely and so much choice
A little bit of heaven Absolutely nothing to dislike it was perfect in every way
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was fantastic. everything was perfect. Staff were very warm and welcoming and happy to help in any way possible.
- Carys (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful retreat. - The room was beautifully decorated, with everything you could need. Anna was so helpful, assisting us with booking taxis and printing tickets.
The location is a little outside Sorrento, so is much more peaceful.
The breakfast was lovely, with oranges from the orchard to be freshly squeezed. Nothing.
- Ian (10/5): great visit to sorrento and a lovely place to stop. nice big balcony and a view of the sea. - very clean, great location, nice view from balcony and Anna was very helpful. lovely orange and lemon trees in the garden meant fresh juice for breakfast. An up hill walk back from the centre of Sorrento but only 15 mins. would defiantly use again if in the area. Anna was a wonderful host. thank you. nothing to dislike.
- Maureen (10/5): - First of all this was our last city in Italy for our vacation and it was beyond what i was expecting. I read thru all the reviews and still decided to go with the Lemon Factor. And boy, was i right to have picked this place. Our room was the one with a big balcony and the view was beautiful. Anna and Laura were very helpful and answered some of my questions. Also now this place is at least 20 mins from the train/bus station. Im saying 20 because the gps will say 11 mins but that hike up or down is going to make it a whole 20 mins lol! But once you get up there and you see the view its well worth it. Theres 2 grocery stores on your way up there. Stop grab some stuff if you need to. Theres a couple of restaurants around which we tried and was fabulous. Also the breakfast they serve is a continental breakfast and was yummy and filling. Them croissants were divine and i miss them 😩! Overall i will be back coz im already planning next years trip there.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mandy (10/5): Would highly recommend - Fantastic place! Our room was bright, comfortable and spotless clean. Good and tasty breakfast choice. Owners were very friendly and helpful and only 10 minute walk to town. Will definetly stay here again
