Christina (2/5): Unprofessional staff. - We were given the wrong room key, and ended up walking into someone else’s room that was OCCUPIED. We were not happy, being with three young boys we have no idea what we could of walked in on. Went to tell the staff and we they must of been all outside on break having a vaping session. Another employees kids were just running all over the place, grabbing snack, yelling hey mom while we were trying to get situated. . When letting the “manager” know about our wrong key she was more concerned about finding out who was in that current room instead of getting a room for us situated. When we said WE do not care who is in there, we need a room, her response was “well obviously” VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I do not expect much but this is one of the worst hotel front desk I have ever seen. Would pick another one if you are visiting Stillwater!!

Verified traveler (4/5): I got jerked around over payment. - I booked a one night stay online with the option to pay on site. I arrived and they refused to accept cash. The nice new employee tried to explain why (possibly Hailey?), and I politely challenged the thought process. She retrieved the red haired lady claiming to be the GM of the location. I was informed that they will accept cash on check out, but they will file a pending charge that will be cancelled on my card if I check out with cash. I accepted the arrangement and checked in. Upon check out the next morning, the black female employee sat in the lobby for at least 3 minutes, oblivious to my wife and I approaching the desk area. Finally, after I start looking down the hallway does she notice me and asked if I wish to check out, I said yes and I would be paying cash. She immediately said we don't do that. I said the GM said you would upon checkout. She called Hailey and the conversation did not satisfy her to allow me to pay cash. I just wanted to get on the road for my 9ish hour drive and quit fighting the issue. The Springhill Suites website listing for this location does list they accept cash. I have room on my card, but I set aside cash to handle all my business for the trip. The building appears to be fairly new, the back parking lot has a rough spot for a fairly new building. Walls for the rooms are paper thin, beds are hard. The room and building was clean and well kept. If it wasn't for the payment drama, I would say 3.5 star experience. Try other places first.

Christina (2/5): Stay elsewhere, it is cheaper and probably better - Before booking, I called the hotel to see if their beds were pillow top beds. I had a choice of 3 I was deciding on and this was the most expensive but if they had pillow top beds then it would be worth it. The gal I talked to said that they have a "pad" that is a pillow top that they put on top of the beds to be more comfortable. When we got to the hotel there were a few bugs in the room. Somewhat understandable since it was a ground floor room and there was a possibility it hadn't been occupied for a while. But then more and more bugs came from the drain and other places. Also, when we moved the trash can to have better access, there was trash all around it. I doubt it had been cleaned properly at all.

Debra (4/5): - I’m a Marriot rewards member and this is the WORST property that I have stayed at. The grounds are unkept with nasty overgrown weeds and the building has dirty windows. As we entered the lobby to check in the lobby smelled like wet animals, and it was nauseating. The elevator doors are filthy and the floor sticky. The shower ran out of hot water. The sink had very little water pressure. There’s only one mirror in the room and it’s above the sink in the bathroom. If I hadn’t prepaid for our 2 night stay I would have walked out. This property was a waste of money. We were at this hotel due to a wedding weekend.

Verified traveler (8/5): good enough - Overall the room and hotel was good. It was updated and served our needs. Our air conditioner was so loud we could not sleep with it on. The lack of daily service leads to problems with getting enough clean towels. The room needs more mirrors so multiple people can get ready at the same time.

Joshua (10/5): - The hotel is very new and the people that work there are very kind and helpful. A few reasons for the 4 star was the couch in our room had some embedded dirt or food on it. There was no hot coffee or water when we came down for breakfast at 7:30a. I did ask the attendant and it was taken care of but keep the coffee plentiful and constant. Otherwise it is quiet and has great, comfortable beds.
Mike (6/5): - Within moments of checking in, we informed the desk that our cabinet door was broken and hanging off the hinge. It was never repaired. There were several other maintenance issues that were never addressed. Also, we asked to have housekeeping service, but It was only done once during our stay.

Verified traveler (10/5): No complaints! - No complaints about this hotel! I try to stay here when I travel to this destination if I can. This may seem trivial, but the TV Is easier to figure out than many I’ve experienced. Sometimes it’s the little things that get noticed.

Shannon (6/5): - We stayed at this property a few years ago when it first opened. It's reliable and easy distance to OSU, but it seems as it's deteriorating quickly. The lobby has an unclean scent, there was water damage on the ceiling in our room and the bathroom was clean, but unimpressive. Hopefully, management will be able to remedy the property so it has more life in Stillwater as a viable option to stay.

But it did not affect my stay. The breakfast was awesome always ready when I went down and always full and hot. The pool was too cold to even get in for my little one. So that was a bummer that she couldn't enjoy that. We went and found a splash pad to enjoy instead.

There was hair on the walls and in the tub, there was something brown on the shower wall in the corner above the soap rack, and the shower curtain as not clean. The room was good, and the beds were great. We all slept very well!!!

The floor was not vacuumed and found trash on the floor that did not belong to us. The shower curtain was dirty in several spots. The refrigerator was not very cool, barely kept the drink cold. There is a pool but doesn't surprise me that they don't advertise it because it is super tiny.
