Guest Reviews
- Barry (8/5): - The property is full of character but that shows in the facilities.
An update to the bedroom and bathroom is required
The meals are good and plentiful
You step back in time by staying there
- Stuart (10/5): - The property is on the banks of a stream with the constant sound of a waterfall which gives it a certain ambience. Rooms very clean and staff very friendly end helpful. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent. Convenient bus service to and from Huddersfield stopping right outside.
- Matthew (8/5): Lovely pub with rooms. - The pub itself is a lovely warm and welcoming place, the food was great value and excellent quality. We was made to feel most welcome by the landlord, staff and the lovely locals.
We stayed for 2 nights, the room was large, comfortable and warm however the bathroom felt quite cramped. Overall for the cost of the room it was beginning to feel a little tired and could do with a refresh. Breakfast was included and was very nice.
- Joanne (2/5): - If u want sleep don’t come here, the floor was literally bouncing and we couldn’t hear the tv in our room. We had two teabags, two coffees and only enough milk for two teas. The tv didn’t work properly, it kept losing signal so it was impossible to watch anything. The room is tired and the carpets outdated and worn. The shower is pitiful. Would not recommend
- Sean (6/5): - Pub decent but slightly ran down, however work was in progress during our stay?
