- Sara (10/5): Incantevole❤️ - Appena rientrata da questo soggiorno bellissimo!..Isabella e Marco sono due host meravigliosi sia per l’accoglienza che ti danno dal primo momento che entri nella loro fantastica dimora sia per la cura dei dettagli in ogni cosa che si trova all’interno e all’esterno del loro b&b..sembra di vivere in un’altra epoca con un’eleganza e stile che non ho mai trovato in nessun altro posto..tutto è’ affascinante, dall’ascoltare la loro storia, al primo caffe’ del mattino servito in porcellane e argenteria in un elegante carrello e lasciato fuori della camera bussando alla porta e dando il buongiorno per dire che è pronto..per poi proseguire la colazione in una magnifica terrazza dove tutto e’ incantevole, dall’apparecchiatura dei tavoli, alla colazione preparata da Marco e all’aria che si respira di altri tempi..un’esperiemza che consiglio a tutti di vivere a casa Isabella b&b❤️

The breakfast was exceptional. The bed was slightly too soft for our preference. Rocca San Giovanni is a beautiful village, but the restaurant options were too limited for our liking.

Isabella and Marco are the most gracious, wonderful hosts and made us feel that we were the most special people in the world. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed - very comfortable bed and luxurious linens. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and began with coffee/tea delivered to our room by the beautiful Isabella. And Marco is an excellent chef! I cannot say enough about how much we loved our time at Casa Isabella and we cannot wait to return.

He not only prepares the most delicious and extensive breakfast imaginable, but he is also a concierge extraordinaire, with an extensive knowledge of everything to do within Abruzzo. He booked dinner reservations and made excellent recommendations on interesting things to do. She is an elegant hostess, that truly reminded us of Audrey Hepburn; warm and attentive to our every need, she made sure we had fresh towels and a tidy room every day. The sheets and bedding were exquisite. God willing, we will get to spend a few nights at the Casa Isabella again someday.

- Timothy (10/5): OUTSTANDING! - From my arrival, where my hosts were waiting to welcome me at the door to carry my bags to my room, to the tour and history of the house, making dinner arrangements, coffee in my room in the morning followed by a fabulous breakfast on the terrace and right to my seeing me off at my departure, everything was flawless. I cannot say enough good things about Isa and Marco and the lengths that they went to ensure that my stay was outstanding. HIGHLY recommend this property and will find a reason to return to this quiet and charming property in an equally quiet and charming little town.

We were greeted by Isabella and her husband Marco who told us a bit about the house and warmly welcomed us as truly welcome guests. They then escorted us to our suite & brought us out to a beautiful porch and served us a lovely Italian desert, a lemon soda (like a finely bubbled lemonade) and excellent coffee. The room had meticulous period details; the bed was comfortable and when we had to leave early to catch our plane the left us a tray with coffee in a carafe to keep it hot, yogurt, a couple of cookies and a little snack for our drive to the airport in Rome. This was an exceptional stay at a very reasonable price.

La signora Isabella espone con garbo la storia della famiglia Colizzi. Le camere sono arredate splendidamente con biancheria di qualità,tutto pulitissimo. Biancheria in bagno profumata con spugne morbidissime.Bagno schiuma e shampoo di ottima qualità. Breakfast sulla terrazza: sottolineo la presentazione elegante,la qualità dei prodotti sia dolci che salati, abbondanti e estremamente varie le bevande sia calde che fredde tutte di altissima qualità. Un’esperienza unica. Marco ed Isabella sono raffinati padroni di casa attenti ad ogni dettaglio e richiesta.Ottimi i consigli per la cena e per le visite nei dintorni compresa l’azienda vinicola Frentana. Rocca Sa Giovanni deve essere orgogliosa per la presenza di tali signori e di una location così prestigiosa.

Dall'accoglienza da parte dei proprietari, la loro gentilezza, i loro suggerimenti su cosa visitare e dove consumare un pasto, proseguendo con la bellezza delle camere e del magnifico terrazzo dove abbiamo consumato la colazione e un breve rinfresco al nostro arrivo, non dimenticando lo splendore del piccolo borgo e di tutto ciò che lo circonda.. - Gary (10/5): - From the moment we arrived, the white glove treatment began. Marco and Isabella where the ultimate host and hostess. After showing us to our beautiful rooms, they then showed us to the gorgeous patio where they treatment us to coffee, lemmon soda and cake. In the morning we got a knock on the door before breakfast with a tray of espresso and cookies. Then Isabella showed us to an amazing breakfast table setup on the balcony where Marco prepared our amzing multi course breakfast. Who knew we would love Marcos homemade carrot, apricot and orange juice. If we could give them 10 stars we would! Bellissimo!! Before leaving, Isabella presented our wives with ribbon wrapped gold key to their hearts.

Isabella and her husband are the perfect hosts, providing Michelin-star service and giving you privacy. We slept great, it is quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. We will always stay here when back in the area - it's one of the best B&Bs, all due to the level of service and attention to detail. The house is gorgeous and super interesting. Location is perfect, you can walk to good restaurant choices and it's easy parking.

The owners, Marco and Isabella, are the kindest, most warm and welcoming hosts that you will find anywhere. Upon check-in we were offered coffee, tea, wine or gelato, served on their beautiful terrace. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the room was bright and lovely. Thoughtful touches were all around. Breakfast was incredible, the best we have had anywhere. Just an amazing experience. Wifi was great. The house is filled with antiques and dates to the early 1800s. It was owned by Isabella’s grandmother. You are close to the beach, Lanciano. and parking was close by and easy. We love Abruzzo and come every year. If you plan to be in this area, you will be very happy staying here. 5 stars all around.

Isabella sets a beautiful table that is a feast for the eyes, and Marco completes the experience with fantastically yummy breakfasts, including homemade pastries. Their home is tastefully decorated and beautiful. Marco made a "small" aperitif or snack for us when we arrived. It was a full meal! He made "pallotte cacio e ova," a pizza and served it with local wine. While we were eating, Isabella insisted, "Let me make you some spaghetti so you don't have to go out in the cold for dinner." A fine dessert was provided by their son's girlfriend who made it for her baking exam. Breakfast consisted of an omelet, pastries, coffee, yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice. If I could give a 100-star rating, I would. You get much more than you pay for at Casa Isabella, especially because of the kindness and generosity of the hosts who show that they love to entertain and to serve. They are a true testament to authentic Italian and Christian civilization. Grazie mille, Isabella and Marco!
- Kim (10/5): Magical wonderland that is Casa Isabella - Wow what not to like. Isabella and Marco were perfect hosts. The B&B is so special as are Isabella and Marco. We only had one night I wish we could have spent more time. It's like walking back in time the house itself is circa 18-19th century and beautifully restored. The location is in centre of old town and great for just walking around or drive 8 minutes and you are at the beach. Highly recommend and will definitely be back with friends. Nothing it was a perfect stay. If only we had spent more time here...
- Gord (10/5): Superb bed and breakfast treats guests like family and royalty at the same time - The village of Rocca San Giovanni is superb. Small, compact, historical and very clean. The Casa is superbly hosted by Isabella and Marco who treated us like royalty. We were greeted with a late afternoon aperitif on the gorgeous rooftop patio. A lovely breakfast was served here both days that included fresh pastries, beautiful tarts and savoury omlettes. Fresh coffee was delivered to our room on a cart before breakfast. How good is that? This is one if the best places we have stayed and we highly recommend it. it was all good.
- Peter (10/5): - What a wonderful time spending several days with Isabella and Marco in their beautiful home. They could not have done more to make my stay comfortable, enjoyable and hospitable. They will welcome you into their home from the moment you arrive until you depart. I especially loved their delicious breakfast on the terrace! Rocca San Giovanni is very convenient to Fossacessia Marina where you can park your car, go to the beach ot rent a bike and drive the bike path to Ortona. Or even drive over to Lanciano. Cinque Stelle!!!

- Jada (10/5): Luxurious and comfortable stay - Marco and Isabella were extremely nice, helping us with every need. Greeted with lovely lemonade and more, which made us very happy after a long drive. In the morning a 10/10 breakfast prepared by them with everything you could want. The room was beautiful, clean and super comfortabel with great facilities. The town itself was also very cute. They could recommend some very good restaurants just around the corner. And the day we were there they even had a concert going at the main square. Our room on the ground floor had very antique thin wooden doors, which let a lot of sound through. So you had less privacy and also heard people moving quite a lot, or the doors would make loud sounds when the front door would close and open.

The purpose of the trip was to have a meal in the nearby trabocho, which is just a short drive away. Our hosts Marco and Isabella are absolutely fantastic. The BnB is stunning and their attention to detail is amazing! Breakfast was a particular highlight of our stay!! There is nothing we could fault. A magical experience ❤️

- Michael (10/5): - First of all, let me congratulate Isabella and Marco on providing us with the most beautiful and friendly stay at a B&B ever! From the moment we arrived until when we departed two days later, we felt as if we we were long lost Italian cugini (cousins). They welcomed us at the door and prepared us a wonderful pasta lunch which was more like a dinner in a fine restaurant. Then we were led up to a beautiful period room with a canopy bed. Every detail was lovingly selected. Breakfast out on the veranda was a magnificent affair each morning and sitting there in the evening watching the sunset over the Adriatic in the distance was a relaxing experience. I had fallen in love with their place online while looking for a town close to my mother's parents birthplace (Castel Frentano). They were also helpful in my researching for my roots. I was successful in digging up unknown information and I'm awaiting more information in early July from the Municipality of Castel Frentano on my orphaned great grandfather. Fingers crossed. We took pictures upon leaving hoping to return some day re-engaging with my 'new' famiglia - Isabella and Marco. Grazia, Michael and Cinzia.

- Glen (10/5): I would highly recommend Casa Isabella B & B for a five star genuine Italian hospitality. - Isabella and Marco are the nicest host you could ask for. They welcome you into their home and treat you like family. The rooms are private, spacious and clean. Breakfast was a five star experience and would rate the best out of all the stays in six weeks of travel around Europe. We arrived on a Monday, and Rocca San Giovanni is a small town with limited restaurants that aren’t open early in the week. We had a hire car and travelled to the nearby town of Lanciana for dinner. This is a common issue in smaller towns across Europe.
- michael (10/5): Fantastico - we had a great stay at this lovely B&B. Isabella and Marco could not have been any more gracious. We arrived hungry in the aftertand our hosts were kind enough to make us a delicious lunch. Our room was gorgeous, beautiful linens, comfy pillows, and very quiet. Our breakfast the next morning, on the terrace was out of this world. Eggs and bacon, local pastries, yogurt with honey and pine nuts, fresh fruit, fresh pear juice, coffee, tea. Let’s just say we didn’t need lunch. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay for a couple more nights.

They settled us into our room and then served wine, bruschetta and ice cream on the terrace. Marco have us a wonderful local restaurant recommendation and also a couple of stops for us to visit on our drive back to Rome the next day (which we enjoyed so much!)! They have such a charming home and make you feel so comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was incredible and they sent us off with wonderful memories at Casa Isabella!!

We felt like we were stayin - Casa Isabella is a beautiful historical home with all the comforts of modern day living. The property is located in a small medieval village. The rooms are all unique and bathrooms are modern and very clean. Breakfast was served on the beautiful terrace and it was a relaxing way to start the day. Breakfast was prepared with great care using fresh ingredients and included omelettes, fresh cheese, fresh croissants, breads, fresh fruit and vegetables of the season, fresh yogurt, cakes, pastries and traditional cookies of the town. Coffee, teas and fresh juice. Everything was delicious and each breakfast was different. Absolutely exceptional! The atmosphere of the property was very relaxing and hosts, Isabella and Marco always made you feel at home. Great location with beautiful views of the town. Very clean and great attention to every detail. We will definitely be returning to this amazing property!

Casa Isabella is housed in a magnificent palazzo that has belonged to the Isabella family for centuries. It has been beautifully restored , and very nicely furnished. With a classic touch. As soon as you enter, Isabella and her husband Marco do everything to make you feel at ease. The welcome drink and the extensive breakfast on the beautiful terrace, to the farewell gift in the form of a delicious sandwich wrapped in a beautiful box with, of course, a bow on it, in short, a 10 plus. We will definitely come back ! Nothing ! This B&B is perfect !

- BRUNO (10/5): Casa Isabella dove l’accoglienza è di moda con cla - Appena varcata la soglia di questa dimora storica sembra di fare un salto nel passato con un elegante salone, ma subito siamo stati ben accolti e rapiti dal sorriso e l'eleganza di Isabella e Marco, che subito hanno provveduto a noi chiedendoci del viaggio e offrendoci un piccolo lunch break sul bel terrazzo che è molto accogliente. Il gusto delle stanze è vintage country e la nostra sebbene un po’ piccola veniva rassettata con gran cura ogni giorno; infatti siamo stati colpiti dal servizio preciso e impeccabile dalla colazione, alla nostra stanza, al bagno con asciugamani cambiate anche più di 2 volte nello stesso giorno. Ci siamo sentiti davvero coccolati dalle mille attenzioni di questi bravissimi padroni di casa e non ci stupisce delle loro altissime valutazioni. Alcuni gestori di BnB forse dovrebbero proprio andare a scuola da Marco e Isabella! Arrivati a Rocca San Giovanni, paese ricco di storia e tra l’altro molto carino, con una bellissima ed armoniosa piazza, a pochi chilometri dalla costa, eravamo un po’ tristi perché la nostra vacanza volgeva al termine ma, invece, il soggiorno di due giorni in questa meravigliosa casa ci ha davvero tirato su il morale e siamo rientrati molto meno tristi perché per due giorni ci siamo sentiti pieni di attenzioni e gran rispetto, proprio come due cari amici di famiglia. Indimenticabile sarà poi l’accompagnamento col carrellino all’auto per trasportare i bagagli… Consigliamo vivamente e spassionatamente Un soggiorno qui. Bru&Pas
- Leslie Paul (10/5): Amazing Stay! - We checked into the most beautiful B&B we've ever stayed at. Not only is the place gorgeous, it's sparklingly clean (even the toilet & bidet bowls shined!) and Isabella & Marco are such warm & welcoming people. They offered us lunch but since we had already eaten, gave us wine & dessert instead. Later Isabella escorted us to a local winery for a tour & tasting, then to an Abbey. That evening, Marco made us a superb dinner with beautiful & elegant settings. The next morning we were greteed by the beautiful Isabella in the patio with another superb meal. This was truly exceptional service in a lovely setting! We highly recommend this place and can't wait to return some day. Our only regret was we had booked such a short stay

We were welcomed in extraordinary fashion by the beautiful Isabella and Marco.Throughout the entire stay they were the best hosts one could wish for. It felt like visiting family from the very first moment we entered. Such warm hearted people is a rare thing to find. The house itself is an amazing townhouse with stylish old school decor and beautiful rooms. If we could rate higher than ten we would. We will be coming back as guests - but more importantly as friends.
