Guest Reviews
- Joe (10/5): - Loved it
- Darran (8/5): - Nice hotel good food
- shaun (10/5): Stunning with fantastic staff - Fantastic hotel and the room was amazing. Francis couldn’t have been more helpful. We had Sunday lunch there which is a must when in the area and fish n chips on the night were amazing 10/10 brilliant
- Verified traveler (4/5): Noisy - Very noisy with constant hum of a motor all night.
Sausages for breakfast we're strangly hard
- Abdul Samad (6/5): - Staff were extremely kind and helpful, the pool area was clean but really not happy with how the rooms are maintained one of our curtains came off the hook and was hanging uneven, the cleaning staff serviced the rooms 2 times but still left it unfixed. The carpets weren’t hoovered when we returned to our room in the evening it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. I had to specify everything at the reception and then they got it done for us. Also, the pool access timings are very limited which was not mentioned on the website when I was booking the hotel. The terms and conditions mentioned on the expedia website are quite different to the hotels terms and conditions. It was very confusing.
- Saleem (8/5): Nice location quiet - Free parking friendly staff nice room and nice breakfast
- emma (6/5): - Excellent service and friendly staff, ample secure parking
- Christopher (10/5): - A lovel
- Katherine (8/5): - Lovely friendly staff, receptionist very helpful. Beautiful grounds and the spa and pool were lovely, we didn’t have any treatments but enjoyed the use of the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, a relaxing experience all round, the restaurant was nice the service was a little slow but they all worked really hard as it was busy. The breakfast was lovely a massive range of choice. Everywhere was kept really clean. 2 of the young men working in the restaurant and bar were exceptional with manners and service.
- Lee (10/5): Amazing hotel and facilities, staff to match too - Checked in slightly early and was no problem. I was also told I could use the pool faculties and so glad I did, beautiful pool and relaxing beds to read a book or chill afterwards. Bedroom very spacious and so quiet, this to me is very important as started work early the following day.
Couldn’t make breakfast as left at 5am so they really kindly offered me a packed lunch, I stay away most weeks and have never been offered this before. Will certainly be a regular now on my business trips in South Wales
- Stephen (6/5): - Very peacefull stay
- Chris (6/5): Ok, needs modernising - The property is dated, with carpets on the stairs, gym is very small, needs completely updating
- Tara (8/5): - Booked a twin room for 2 adult's and 2 kids. On arrival i expected more beds on the room( how other hotel do it). But only 2 large singles to sleep all 4. So i had to ask for more beds. Which they did find. But surely if a room is booked for 4 ....2 small beds wldnt b big enough.
- James (4/5): Tatty hotel , awful breakfast - Room was dated and a bit tatty. Pillows really flat and hard . Constant noise all night from what we assume was something to do with the swimming pool. Swimming pool unstaffed at desk, pool was freezing cold . Breakfast awful, sausages disgusting and coffee was cold . Wouldn’t return
- Tristan (4/5): Tired and outdated - Hotel has facilities that aren’t available in most, but it feels like nothing’s been repaired for a decade and overhauled for much more than that.
Bathroom grouting was all cracked, the fan was really noisy, windows were dirty and the heating was crap.
Breakfast was not great. Cheap nasty sausages and underdone bacon, with a ‘self-service’ setup where you have to queue and watch a staff member plate it up for you. Bizarre.
The biggest positive is there’s good parking. Wide spaces and plenty to choose from.
- Mike (8/5): - My first time here, friendly staff however the place could do with a complete update, the restaurant area in particular was quite dates, sticky tables, worn out chairs and dull decor, the gym and pool areas were pleasant as was my room.
- nigel (8/5): Stay over for show - The stay was good and all staff were polite and helpful. was close to Swansea arena for the show we was going to.A10 minute drive from the hotel.
- Thomas (6/5): - The hotel and facilities were nice enough but have definitely seen better days. Can’t fault the staff and their service though.
- Wendy (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely stay. Really friendly and excellent staff. Great location if you don’t want to be in the city centre. Plenty of parking available. Excellent food and great choice for breakfast and evening meals.
- helen (8/5): Good family stop over - Stayed one night
Room was large and staff friendly and helpful
Kids food was fantastic
- Michele (8/5): Nice stay - Nice place and helpful friendly staff.
They had a separate vegan menu with plenty of choice which I found very helpful and good food.
Nice swimming pool. Gym small but ok.
Overall good stay. The place needs a facelift. Some parts a bit dated and needs refurbishing
- Cerys (10/5): - Absolutely amazing stay, will give 10/10. Food was outstanding, and staff went above and beyond and very welcoming! Will 100% be returning!😊
- Richard (8/5): - Our room was lovely and spacious. The staff were incredibly helpful. However, the Sky box provided in our room didnt work.
- Sian (10/5): - The hotel itself was nice, staff was very helpful. I would say Swansea isn’t a place to stay with children.
- Robert (8/5): - Very good overall, small items like the steam room in the spa was broken, and not being able to use the pool till after 3 was not made clear when i booked
- david (6/5): - Nice hotel, location etc, stayed here a few times. I would say its over priced and a lot of the rooms are looking tired, including my last one. The TV didnt work properly and the remote fell apart. Stained carpets and misty double glazing windows. The food is good but breakfast isnt, seems the food is kept warm.
- Shaun (10/5): - Very nice hotel
- Jonathan (4/5): - The hotel was tired and needed refurbishment, around the windows were dirty, public areas needed a good clean. The pool/spa had a film of dirty across it and we needed 2 showers to feel clean again. The pool area had areas of dried dirty of an unknown matter. Staff were lovely and the breakfasts good.
- Sally (8/5): Friendly Staff with Great Food - Really enjoyed my stay at the Tower hotel and spa, the staff are super friendly and efficient and the food is delicious I had the roast lamb dinner both nights of my stay because it was so delicious, I didn’t sleep very well on my first night in the tower and mentioned this to a lovely lady who worked in the restaurant and in no time at all they moved me to another room, nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be returning.
- Mark (10/5): - Nice location
- Shaun (10/5): - Very good service and food was excellent
- David (10/5): - Return visit after many year still excellent servise
- TOBY (10/5): Business stay near Swansea - All the staff were so friendly helpful and efficient. Bed was super comfortable
- Neil (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Really enjoyed.
- Steve (10/5): Quick business trip - First time in Swansea and needed a convenient hotel which had facilities to suit a quick stop over.
This ticks all the boxes as it has a bar, restaurant, gym and ample space in the room to work too. The staff are friendly and the food was great. Good value for money and certainly worth the money. Plus it had TNT sports for the football as an added bonus.
- Shaun (10/5): - Very good stay with the food & facilities very good. Will being booking again
- Weikang (8/5): - Everything is great. The parking lot is huge, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is good. However, the Wi-Fi signal is very poor if you are allocated at lower levels. I'm not sure about the signal strength in other areas. In general, it is a great hotel to stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - Rather outdated room unfortunately and bathroom very shabby and tatty. Staff were friendly and evening meal much nicer than expected. Felt this was vastly overpriced and would not stay again
- david (6/5): - Ive stayed here a few times, always been good but it is going down hill slowly. Food id good and nice surroundings but the breakfast takes you back to covid days with soneobe serving your breakfast from a buffet, not nice....
- Ian (8/5): Will stay again - Had a nice 2 night stay for business purposes. The staff were all fantastic, the room was very comfortable and the gym and pool area were great also. I found the restaurant to be very nice with great food options and the breakfast was very good, using good quality items. My only gripe would be that the jacuzzi was very cool and the steam room wasn't working very well at all. Get these things sorted out and I will be rating higher.
- Karen (10/5): - Nice relaxing stay
- Dave (10/5): Very nice - We used before and still found room comfortable and breakfast is good.
- michael (4/5): - TIRED ,NEEDS UPDATING
- Rosalyn (10/5): - Easy checkin ample parking spaces
Good for wedding venue and evening partyy
Excellent breakfast
- Steve (8/5): Enjoyed - Enjoyed my stay, would stay again, food lovely, room comfortable
- Kenneth (6/5): Ok but feel like I was treated funny… - Very disappointed with the reception because they demanded each individual completed the form for the rooms when I could have simply completed the form for my son and then he signed it. Also the spa didn’t allow any hot couple to enter the spa on their leaving day. Staff in pub and restaurant very pleasant and chatty…
Overall poor experience and a good distance from the town centre.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Service is bad. Didn't help clients to solve the issue.
- royston (8/5): - a peaceful quite stay
- Elaine (6/5): Very tired - Very tired hotel everything need to be changed
Food was absolutely fabulous and can’t fault that
- Nigel (8/5): - Food was fantastic especially the meat (braised steak was a single block of meat 3cm high). Brilliant chief but seems to change the menu slightly at will so you may not get exactly what it said but it will be great food.
- Johnny (8/5): Very peaceful - It was very quiet.
- Stephen (10/5): - A very comfortable and pleasantly warm hotel with good, safe free parking. Good amenities and good food. We would stay again.
- Steve (10/5): - We were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough. Great pool and all the facilities. Also it’s peaceful rather than being right in the city centre. We loved it xx
- Jonathan (8/5): - Room we had was very nice but the hotel is a bit dated needs a revamp
- James (8/5): - Restaurant was really nice and good food, staff were pleasant and room was nice except for the bed which needs its mattresses changed asap. I couldn't get comfy in the bed due to the massive divot in the middle
- Huw (8/5): - Tired
- Ladislav (10/5): - Area is beautiful.
- David (10/5): Excellent hotel - We stayed for two nights in a superior room which was perfectly clean and comfortable. Only minor problems that did not affect our stay were we had to have the room card re-programmed twice to get access, despite keeping it well away from mobile phones, and changing channels on the otherwise excellent TV was difficult. There was also a lovely chill-out lounge near our room which appeared to be a brilliant facility, we just didn't have an opportunity to use it during our visit.
The restaurant, staff and food were nothing short of excellent. The only negative experience during our stay was the night porter displaying totally unwarranted and staggeringly rude and arrogant behaviour towards my wife when he would have been better offering assistance, however our complaint was taken seriously by the hotel and we were content to leave them to take their own action. While he let his employers and colleagues down badly he is clearly not representative of the standards at this excellent hotel which I recommend and would look forward to staying at again if the opportunity arose.
- Diane m (4/5): - Room was cold shivered all nigh also all that stayed for wedding was cold all night shame as room was loverly food was terrible breakfast also had lemonade in wedding was warm out bottle
- colin (6/5): Disappointing. - The Spa facility was good . The rooms are dated and need complete refurbishment. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was OK but limited options. Easy access from motorway and free parking. Not good value for money.
- Ceri (8/5): Good Weekend - The stay was lovely, food was lovely very helpful and friendly staff nothing was to much trouble.
Room was a bit dated but it was clean
- Diana (10/5): - Great food, great staff and good sleep.Rapunzel's tower adds a bit more.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Upsetting experience due to rude staff. - Having stayed at The Towers numerous times, I have found that some rooms are nicer than others. We’ve always had nice rooms, however this time our room wasn’t up to the usual standard. It was a lot smaller and noisier being just above the reception desk.
Usually staff are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. This time staff were shouting over each other at reception, there was a “can’t be bothered” attitude from the reception staff, who were a little rude.
The worst experience was in the restaurant, due to the waitress who was rude and humiliating. The food ( A Caesar Salad) arrived wasn’t what was expected. When compared to what was described on the menu, it was clear there were ingredients missing. In addition to the lack of ingredients, the lettuce was drowning in dressing. There was more dressing than salad. I couldn’t eat the meal. The couple on the table next to us approached me to say they wouldn’t have been happy if they had been served what I had been served and that they were shocked at how the lady serving us had spoken to me. It certainly tainted our whole experience and we left as soon as my partner finished his meal. I have contacted the hotel via email and received no response.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cannot fault this property. Would definitely visit again!
- Simon (8/5): - Disappointed with the cleaning, toothpaste still in the wash hand basin from the last guest. Expected more for the money. The place is OK and the food was OK too but it's the little things that often make a trip. However, the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Even thought it was advertised as Towers hotel, there are only three rooms in the Tower. The rest, 66 rooms, are in nearby buildings.
We booked two rooms, which are in basement of a 3-stoery buiding.
The facilities in rooms are out of date.
The receptionist, - Rhiannon, was very unprofessional . She used offensive languages when we were cheching in (I said the hotel name was very misleading).
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I didn’t like the food in the restaurant as it was very low standard. However the breakfast was amazing. The facilities are a bit disjointed and I was disappointed with the spa amenities as priority seem to be given to people outside who were not staying at the hotel. So even though I’ve booked the hotel because of they offered spa facilities we were unable to use them due to the lack of availability.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff very friendly, but very disappointed by the cleanliness of the room, don't think staff know what a duster is, had to pay to go for a swim in a spa hotel?! Mould on bathroom ceiling, cobwebs throughout room, and the toilet screws rusty,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom is fairly new and in good condition, other furnishings are a a bit tired.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pleasent and professional - Pleasent and professional all the staff were helpful. It is a large hotel and lacks slightly the quirky, more intimate feel of a smaller establishment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a lovely stay. The pool facilities were clean and warm. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.
- Kevin (8/5): Recommend - Perfect for the business trip I had.
- Nick (10/5): - We loved the hotel and the food, service and prices were excellent. However, when we booked the 2 night stay, the Expedia website indicated that the hotel was 0.4 miles from Swansea Bay, WALKING DISTANCE.
It turned out that it was about 4 MILES from Swansea Bay!
If we'd have known that, we would not have booked the stay.
- Asim ali (10/5): Value for money - Very good
Very friendly staff
Clean and comfortable
Would use again
- MalcolmWeaver (10/5): - Good location, tidy room, great breakfast, welcoming staff.....all good!!
Disappointed with £15 surcharge for use of the pool but understand that COVID rules need to be adhered to.
- Della (10/5): - A very warm welcome from receptionist on arrival.
Accomodation very clean and extra hand sanitizer around the hotel to use. Nothing was too much trouble.
- Richard (4/5): not great. - Worrying COVID cleanliness in the room.
- isabel (8/5): - Overall it was good ,
Reception should give more information on the facilities in the hotel as you arrive.
And it would be nice if staff had masks in the restaurant I only see them wearing on the first day that we arrive.
- Liam (10/5): Lovely Friendly Hotel. - Really lovely hotel, staff were amazing and breakfast was superb. Very well run hotel and kids enjoyed the pool, reception staff were helpful giving ideas on places to visit locally. I will return in future. Thankyou everyone for all your hard work.
- Richard (4/5): More like faulty towers. - Not the first stay at this hotel, the last time was in a suite and that was nice.the room I had was a double as I stayed with my daughter.the room was very dirty and run down .the view out the window was f a very dirty conservatory roof covered in moss.we were told we had to pay to use the pool £15 an adult for 50 mins which is normally free.
The hotel was packed out so much for social distancing and not much hand cleaner around to use.
Very disappointed ,only stayed there because of the facilities.
- Wee Khim (10/5): Great value for money - Hotel was clean and had good process in place to ensure social distancing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and mattress was comfortable. But what can improve are the pillows. They were flat and does not offer much support. Otherwise, we had a very enjoyable stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very happy with check in. The receptionist was polite and friendly.
- liam (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. Lovely overall. Lovely food.
- Susan (10/5): - AMAZING. WELCOMING. FRIENDLY STAFF.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Liked everything about our stay. Thank you very much, will definitely be back.
- Greg (10/5): - Fab stay,
All the Staff really helpful and Hard working. Everything is very well maintained and clean.
I was a single traveller on business and had a wonderful welcome. It’s a bit out of the way from any shops etc but don’t let that put you off.
Thanks especially to the young guy behind the bar and the girl at reception for helping me achieve my Food goal..
I have stayed in many Hotels in South Wales this one exceeds all expectations. Will definitely stay again!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I checked in and paid, we then went straight to the room we were given and the bed looked like someone had just got out of it. So I went straight back to reception and said the room is not up to standered and all of a sudden a abrupt lady jumped in the conversation I was having with the receptionist, I asumed she must be the manager, so I stated to her my views on the room and asked for my money back to which she replied No you can’t have your money back because I reserved the room off Experia. So I stated I only just paid and she replied tuff, so she then stated she’s not giving a refund then walked from behind the desk and said I’ll check the room and off she went on her return she said I’ll upgrade your room for you to which I replied no thankyou I’d rather a refund thanks, she then shouted at a receptionist “give him his money and get him out of here”. I had my money back finally after 45 minutes but the managers attitude and manner definitely has a lot to answer for and I strongly recommend you leave that lady if she is the manager in a dark room somewhere because her people skills are just not there. So my only advice to future residents is to check the room before you pay. Also I’d like to state to the owners of the towers that we were coming to the towers for the night in the view of booking the place for our wedding but the lady on the desk changed our minds for us so you should thank or reprimand her as she’s lost you a lot of money.
Thanks Craig
